301  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Crypto-Friendly Bank Accounts (From Wirex). on: February 06, 2018, 09:03:33 AM
So, with this Crypto-friendly bank, is it possible to create a new Virtual Bitcoin Debit Card outside EU Residence?
Honestly, the only reason why I used Wirex in the first place is because your Virtual Debit Card and its high limit, even for unverified customers.
Since the whole Wavecrest incident, I'm still looking for alternatives.

Anyway, I'm excited for the launch details Smiley
302  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: recover electrum wallet with password on: February 05, 2018, 03:34:33 PM
If you can contact a mobile phone expert or you are knowledgeable in mobile phone rom, try to recover your erased wallet file from that phone.
Any erased storage can be recovered by a specialized recovery tool, one must need expert knowledge in order to successfully recover a file using those tools.
If you got the password and didn't know the seed, the only way to access your btc again is to recover that wallet file.

I'm not using a mobile version of electrum myself, but try to look for the wallet file in your SD card (wallet_1 default name if you didn't changed it during creation).
AFAIK, Factory Reset on phone only delete files on Phone internal storage, it does not touch the SD Card
OP most likely had his Wallet file on Internal, which got wiped.

If I were you OP, I would try nc50lc's suggestion, get someone knowledgeable on file recovery to try recover your wiped wallet.
Until now, I would suggest to not use your phone or even better, turn it off completely. Your wallet file directory could be replaced any time with a new data that you've downloaded on your phone.

303  Other / Meta / Re: Recover my hero account on: February 05, 2018, 03:01:48 PM
Only send it again if you don't receive any response in a few weeks/months, I've personally sent Cyrus PM every two months when I wanted to recover this account.
Also, you might want to use non-generic name on your PM, maybe something like "Help, account lost and need it to be recovered (signed message available)"
That name will catch Cyrus or Theymos more as they also received spams everyday, you don't want your PM's to be put inside spam folder Roll Eyes

I've left a feedback too, but since I'm not in DT it won't show on your account.
If you got your account back, you can send me a PM and I will remove it Smiley
304  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can someone recommend a coinmixer? on: February 04, 2018, 06:12:23 PM
thanks for your help guys. Ill try chipmixer but i dont really understand how it works.

I want all BTC in another wallet at the end of the day... can i just import the private keys in my wallet?
If you intended to move your coins from this wallet to another wallet software, yeah you can just import your private keys into another wallet software.
But, if you intended to move your coins from this wallet to that wallet, you will need to sent your coin directly into that wallet.

Chipmixer can be identified as "mixing" service, there has been a numerous mixer in the past, but after retirement of Bitmixer, Chipmixer has been the largest and trusted one.
Mixer service are usually used when a person wanted their coins to be cleaned to another wallet safely, there are reasons why people used Mixer service with one of them being privacy.
If you don't need a privacy on your transaction, you can safely send your coins directly into another wallet Smiley

Mixer service works easily, you just need to visit Chipmixer and create a new order (filled with your destination address), after that a new address will be generated automatically by their system, any coins that are sent to that generated address will be cleaned and will be sent into destination address.

Hope this helps you on understanding on how mixer service works Smiley
305  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 26-Jan-2018] on: February 04, 2018, 02:37:48 PM
Updated the table from these quotes

Legolas campaign is now escrowed by Lauda:

Dear Mitchell, CryptoBnB's status should be changed, since the payment is already confirmed for the first week (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2778477.120 page 7):
I think the campaign belongs to flux now (some spots are still open, but people aren't being actively accepted). Oh, and the green star should be deleted, since they decided to pay btc weekly.

As usual, Either Fatanut or Mitchell will have to review these first

Edit:
Removed Legolas

306  Economy / Services / Re: Are u looking for a translator? ALL LANGUAGES YOU WANT on: February 03, 2018, 03:46:54 PM
Any portfolio or past experiences on handling translation project before?
If you do, please put it in on your first post, so we can see it.

Also, how do you prove that your team are not a bot, but a real human doing a real translation works ?
I've seen many translators working as a team claiming that they can do multiple languages, but they later found out to be using google translate

Edit: Looks like op got baited Roll Eyes
307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HooLi Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator on: February 02, 2018, 11:00:41 AM
The core wallet also now has the option to increase the fee. So that is what I should have done but didn't spot the option before. Probably a recent option.  Roll Eyes
I don't use core, but I believe that was an old feature, even electrum has that options for months.
Bitcoin should have a 1 rate fee for everyone. Because the fees are getting out of hand. Some will take advantage and won't pay any fee. And the miners are now kind of holding the transactions hostage.  This is making Bitcoin undependable and causing loss of confidence.
Bitcoin Tx fees depends on the mempool and current hashrate
https://bitcoinfees.earn.com

May I suggest for you to create Segwit wallet instead?
Segwit will lower bitcoin fee tremendously allowing you to create transaction with lower fee and arguably lower confirmation time

P.s only use viabtc accelerator, the rest of them are a scam Roll Eyes
308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Virtual Credit Card? (easy to create, low fees, worldwide citizens) on: February 02, 2018, 10:47:15 AM
Most of Bitcoin Debit Cars uses wavecrest as their provider, so I feel you too buddy  Undecided

There's Wagecan, albeit with high card fees it is acceptable worldwide as they don't use Wavecrest as their provider. Only buy this card when you're really desperate for Virtual Debit Card though.

You also can be patient and wait if its not an urgent matter, Wirex and Cryptopay are trying to find another supplier for their debit card that hopefully will accept worldwide citizens

310  Other / Meta / Re: Merit System Solution on: January 31, 2018, 02:25:29 PM
Because of 'EGO' the admin will NOT abolish this shitty 'Merit' system even though deep down he knows himself 'merit' is the worst thing happened to this forum.

people will have to get used to it because there is no other choice, same as when government  imposes new taxes etc..
Of course, the merit system are worse than the forum hack in October 2013 Roll Eyes
Merit Sytem are created by Theymos to push people to create more higher quality posts rather than a spammy one which plagued this forum for a long time.

No High Quality Post = No Merit
No Merit = No new shinny rank

This is Centralized forum, believe it or not, people would have to obey the rules and any changes it has.
If someone didn't agree with the new forum system, they are free to leave Wink
311  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why don't people realize the problems with cloud mining? on: January 31, 2018, 02:19:15 PM
Deceptions by good dictators always capture the interest of listeners especially if the listeners are either greedy or illiterate to understand and review about the specific cloud mining site. They could not learn unless they have tried it. losing is learning and more complains come out and does appear everywhere that this and those are scams. Initiators of this kind of Ponzi scheme should be blame 70% and 30% for devs. I think FBI should focus in this kind of issue too.
I think its more of a greed or naive, I always see people who defend a cloud mining site by simply saying " It pays me and I'm making profit, there's no way it is a scam"
Well, duh, that's how ponzi works. When the site collapses they would say a bunch of profanity launched towards the devs, who at this point has ran away with their money Cheesy

Best we can do is to warn people when there's a new ponzi site came out, whether they want to listen to us or not is their problem, we already did out best to warn people out of it.
312  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Protect Physical Private Key on: January 30, 2018, 12:03:21 PM
memorize it. they can't steal that from you. prove me wrong?
You mean to memorize all those long private key, i think you must be joking.....
Ye this doesn't seem to be good solution. Hmm... physical private key, there is problem not how to store it, but where? There is no safe places from thieves, they know all people popular hiding places.
Best would be probably to hide in plain sight.
I remember a similar topic 2 years ago on BTCtalk or Reddit, basically a guy asked how to protect his paper wallet from thieves.
A user says that he should bury it on his lawn, he did it and said that he will dig it back in 10 years Cheesy

So yea, either memorize it or bury it on your lawn, you will notice it right away when some meddling kids trying to dig on your lawn Tongue

memorize it. they can't steal that from you. prove me wrong?
You mean to memorize all those long private key, i think you must be joking.....
There's no way for human to be able to memorize private key, private key were made to be impossible for human to memorize.
Although, if he's using a wallet that uses seed, it can be easily memorized by making up a simple story
313  Economy / Services / Re: 🌙🌙🌙 Moonlite Signature Campaign 🌙 🌙🌙 [MEMBERS+] on: January 30, 2018, 11:21:13 AM
Um...
I just checked my segwit address and I received 0.008 on 23rd January out of nowhere and I think this coins comes from your campaign, Atriz.
Not sure if there's a mistake or not, but I already left the campaign at that time, can you check and confirm that this comes from your wallet?

314  Other / Meta / Re: Send merit to friend, is that allowed?? on: January 30, 2018, 04:13:57 AM

There's nothing arrogant about keping your Smerit.

So what will happen if all member prefer to keep their smerit?
No point in keeping Smerit as their only purpose is to be sent to other users, Theymos said that someday he wil put an expiry date on Smerit to get users to send their smerits, but that was still a plan.

"There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future."

Misclicked and sent merit to the wrong post. fak
lol, maybe this is where Demerit feature will come in handy, you can take back merits when it's still under 2 Hours time
Although I can see demerit feautre to be abused by troll member

If your friend post a spam and you give them merit, that will be a problem.

Because you can not prove if you are just giving merit to your friend or you are selling merit.

It is quite possible that you will be reported to admin.
I'm pretty sure the merit system are not moderated, same as trust system
Admin won't ban you for leaving questionable merits or selling them, but the community will probably backlash against those who do
315  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz and Lauda just got merit! on: January 28, 2018, 06:28:02 PM
You clearly have some form of mental deficiency if you fail to read a post after being pointed directly to it. I'll leave you to live in your happy little world.
I can't really call him happy with the word he chose, he might be living in his personal hell Sad

Its your personal definition of a scam.
You attacked all buyers and sellers instantly as scammer not knowing what purpose that account had and its not because you are a smarita its because you used that function to destroy compeition.

Your explanation to scam somebody for a lot of money was also funny.
We did it to gather more information for the good of the community

Same shit as always fucking scammers
Little did you know that everyone on BTCtalk is a scammer, but you are different, you are the chosen one that will slay all evil that lurks within DT lists.

On a more serious note, BTCtalk is unique and different than other forums you might find, on other forums it is ok to buy and sell accounts as they don't hold anything in it.
On here however, accounts as they hold the user's reputation in it, many people buy accounts just either for scam purposes or signature campaigns (with degraded quality), this behaviour are considered untrusted, hence why DT Members giving a -neg on sellers and buyers.

I tried to phrase it as neutral as possible, but you're probably gonna label me as one of your scammers anyway  Undecided

Edit: oh hey, my first -neg, thanks buddy, seeing blacks on my trust kinda bore me Smiley
316  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forks.net - List of Bitcoin Forks, Ethereum Forks, and other forks! on: January 28, 2018, 05:41:38 PM
Maybe create a page on how to claim those forks, as different forks have a different method to claim it.
Would be great if you can add a link to exchanges who support those forks, Bitcoin Forks are useless if you can't sell them Tongue

Overall, it's helpful for me to identify Bitcoin Forks, never thought there would be this many. before this I only know about Bcash, Diamond, and Gold.
317  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 26-Jan-2018] on: January 28, 2018, 12:53:30 PM
Maybe he meant to say that it should be move to CFNP since it is already full the not accepting new participants.
PNYC Takes the highest priority in the table, once the payment for the campaign has been confirmed it will be moved to its own enrollment status, whether it's active or CFNP
318  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ebay full of scammers or ? on: January 26, 2018, 05:14:35 PM
Nope.
if you tell me I can get a brand new gtx 1060 strix for 100 bucks I would shit myself
The thing is, reputation didn't really guarantee that the seller itself are reputable, you can easily buy Ebay feedback in order to gain a higher trust on your account
See for yourself:
https://tamebay.com/2016/09/people-are-still-buying-and-selling-feedback-on-ebay.html
https://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-feedback/76039-buy-feedback-safe.html

This looks like a common scam, basically a Chinese seller will send you a different and cheaper Graphics Card with the original box and fan from gtx 1060 to fool people thinking it was gtx 1060, while in fact it was not.
Some scam even went as far as to modifying the BIOS of the graphics cards so other program such as GPUz and Dxdiag will see it as gtx 1060 Tongue

Edit: Looks like the listing page got removed, either the seller got caught by Ebay, or he deleted it himself
319  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 18-Jan-2018] on: January 26, 2018, 04:34:40 PM
Just a suggestion, seeing how Yahoo has launched its first campaign with added bonus for those who have the extra merits, should you add a new coloured asterisk?
Rather than adding a ** on the table that will obscure the actual payment, you can type the base payment with an asterisk besides the campaign's name to indicate that a bonus coins are available for those that meet the required merits.
I can see this type of bonus to be popular and used for the next campaigns in the future Smiley
320  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 26, 2018, 04:05:07 PM
What if  a group of bounty hunters create a group somewhere else e.a. on facebook and they will use/exchange  their extra merit with each other? would that be possible also? if yes then their existing merit could have easily doubled? am i right?  Smiley
You don't need to search a separate group on facebook, there's a lot merits sellers in local section now, go check your local section and you bound to found at least one seller that sells his merits.
Either way, it depends on how stupid the sellers are, if they send the merits in bulk to a single post let's say 20 merits, people would get suspicious and DT will swoop that post with red tags, Both the poster and the one who sends the merits Tongue
Also it won't work as their Smerit will get depleted in a few exchanges

Dont seems to understand this merit stuff...

Is it going to replace activity in terms of criteria for ranking?
It will be added as a new criteria to rank-up
Before the update, we just need activity point to rank up, but now we need both activity and merits in order to rank up to the next rank
Hopefully, with this new system it will encourage users to post high quality instead of spamming with 2 liners posts.

TFW when you're about to be Legendary and now you need to collect 500 pokemons merits
