301  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL refunds works flawlessly and fast on: November 17, 2012, 04:10:49 PM
BFL Josh has said on their forums that they have the funds on hand to refund 100% of the preorders if necessary.

We heard a lot of bullcrap from Josh in the last few weeks.

BFL also said they would deliver in October. Didn't happen. So why should we trust them on this 100% refund statement?
So the 23 behind Frizz stands for his fake accounts with bogus anti-bfl claims, fake orders and made up complaints and whatnot, and then he points at others crying they post bullcrap. Clowns Against BFL just found their new chairman.

Frizz, why do you gotta be such a hater?

I just hate asshamsters that constantly try to convince themselves and everyone else that BFL will keep their promise and deliver beginning of October end of October beginning of November end of November start of December - and give everyone a roasting that has at least a little bit of common sense and distrust BFL.
Right, common sense, fake complaints and fake orders by fake people, you are your own asshamster. BFL has lost credibility on giving right delivery dates, your credibility is non-existant, your behavior psychopathic.

Heb je het nou over die ebay foto van die pick&place machine die ze hebben gekocht? Wellicht moet je je toch eens verder informeren via mining-hardware-custom hardware hier, of via het bfl forum.

... attempt of BFL bashing ...

Please tell me all you asshamsters with "60 GH/s BFL Single SC - Pre-Order Yours Today!" signatures are only Inaba sock puppets. Because if not I would seriously lose my faith in mankind.

I simply refuse to believe that actual people can be so embarrassingly devoted to vaporware like for example SLok or Lab_Rat.
I simply refused to believe that actual people could be so embarrassingly devoted to trolling just because they can't afford even one jalapeno, but then Frizz32 appeared.
305  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL and public relations on: November 14, 2012, 04:32:41 PM
I received a very nice phone call from BFL asking if I had all my questions answered from a previous question I had left for them - I told them yes and was looking forward to the new ASICS shipping - I am quite satisfied with the renewed and continuous effort being made by BFL to be responsive

I think this thread should be renamed to "BFL makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside"

Or "BFL gots my cash"
Or "Frizz32's 7th attempt of BFL bashing with a bogus account on bitcointalk.org".

But, have you been banned from BFL's forum too? Nooooo  Cheesy
In no small part because of that fact that I'm never actually on there. Tongue
So you can't see the pictures showing there's not much to show by pictures yet?

What did you expect, clowns are only allowed on this board.
Wait, what does that make me?  Shocked
Crazyates!!!

Just guessing.

Guessing ... well, that's one of the major annoyances on http://forums.butterflylabs.com/
There are so many bootlickers and wannabe BFL employes on there that it's hard to filter out accurate information in all those tons of useless comments.
So many speculations and guesswork.

I posted my question ("working prototype") hoping that a BFL official would respond - but got banned instead.

It seems the purpose of those forums is only mutual sugarcoating and backslapping - to bear with the constantly delayed delivery dates.
What did you expect, clowns are only allowed on this board.
311  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL and public relations on: November 11, 2012, 11:17:04 PM
If I remembered right you did not trust them, and got the advice "why don't you wait ordering untill they are released early december, if you feel insecure doing it now. Won't matter much for a place in line, since you won't be in the first batch anyhow". Something like that, wasn't it?
It may be that your ip was found to be the same as that of a well known troll there? Or that someone was fed up with the next new member playing the noob asking that question for the 22th time? Just guessing.
312  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Disputes and drama from the BTCFPGA thread on: November 11, 2012, 01:15:59 PM
As someone not actively involved in the whole FPGA / ASIC world, except on a cursory level, I might interject that I find all this bickering and whatnot most distasteful and reflects poorly on all parties.

As potentially the biggest business venture related directly to bitcoin to date, that's a shame.
+1

Avalon stated january-february from the start afaik No one except bfl showed any proof of what is coming. Yet only bfl is questioned. Are the ones asking questions (the same and the same and the same) considered shills? Are their comments removed? Do the "neutral" mods start a topic to put all that "bfl drama" in? No.
Clowns without a ROI?
Fell free to copy, paste and modify these questions so they are suitable for Avalon and bASIC threads.
Come on, don't play dumb, you have seen what the simplest questions about product state of development or power usage did to those threads and the ones asking them. Why don't you dedicate one of your repetitive walls of text in one of those threads, and see if you can get the answers you ask for from BFL, from them too?
I am telling you that you are free to post the same questions to the other vendors.

Unlike what you have asked of others, I am not trying to restrict you from doing so.

Is this about people "not asking" other vendors the same [hard] questions?

Or

Is this about how you feel about people "asking" BFL the hard questions...and you want that to stop.

----------------------------

Be clear with me on this and I will help you in that endeavor.

Are you after "equal treatment" of all vendors or do you want other people to stop asking difficult questions (to any or all vendors)?

When you give me a good indicator on this I will go with the flow. The results will probably be interesting.

@ All

By the way, BFL requests your input:

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/showthread.php/324-Photos-of-PCBs-cases-and-heatsinks

Edit: Before they say "no", keep in mind they already said "yes" to this a long time ago.
Quoting myself from your link:
"You may think your requests for pictures are legit, they are mostly naïve. Why are these questions only asked at BFL, no one is demanding them from the other asic mining equipment makers. Has anyone of you ever demanded pictures of parts or production lines from other announced products like laptops, or cars or i-phones, that you wanted?
Why did you order and prepay, at a time when the information was zero besides "we are going to make an asic", and are you now complaining that you are not being handed more than already is handed as information to you, imho a lot?
I mean, you had the balls to jump in back then, hold on to them. And don't pre-order more if you have doubts about BFL, won't matter much for your future orders as the time for release is pretty soon now."

I need a rough idea of what you seem to want others to do. If it is to promote equal treatment for all vendors or if you are only asking everyone to "stop asking" questions.
Non of your 2 suggestions. I was asking for the same treatment for people asking questions like you do, when they ask similar questions regarding other vendors. Without the mods removing posts, using their moderator privileges to steer topics into the direction of their desire, without stepping in and ridiculizing people by crippling their comments, or calling them BFL shills. If you were treated by the same mods if your questions had the same tone towards btcfpga or the avalon project, you would be named and shamed as some BFL shill, or as Inaba's sock puppet.

And no, I don't have those questions for those other producers, as I understand it is pretty clear they don't have answers to them. It is quiet simple to understand that anything that can shed a light on the progress of their efforts will be put up by them at the second they have something to show.
@ BitSyncom (An Avalon Representative)

When did you start conception of the Avalon device?

conception? Well, ASIC was the logical next step after FPGAs, the concept of "talking" about the possibility of producing an ASIC started as early as March of this year. The actual process of R&D and simulations started around June/July I suppose.

For the future please keep Avalon based questions in the Avalon thread.

Avalon stated january-february from the start afaik No one except bfl showed any proof of what is coming. Yet only bfl is questioned. What? Don't ask to ask questions. If you have questions you need answers regarding Avalon, please post them in our Development Status Thread.
Don't worry, if I have questions regarding your product, I will use your thread to ask them. But I don't have questions, I'm in no need to constantly want proof, then some more, then some more, and so on.

Bought a used netbook with an ssd, with the screen off it uses maybe 20 watt max. It is on for a week now, mostly doing nothing, as a sort of stability test.
317  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL ASICs featured in issue #4 of Bitcoin Magazine on: November 08, 2012, 08:16:28 PM
In the article is mentioned that these chips can in theory, run up to 16Gh/s max., but will not live long if pumped up to this. What is needed to overclock these single SC's chips to maybe 10-12Gh/s a piece, so a single would do 80-96Gh/s? Just the right mining software, or is a modded firmware needed?

Josh wrote: "Because our technology is so far ahead of anyone else in the marketplace,  ..." - with "far ahead away" I guess he was solely referring to the shipping date Wink
So have you cancelled your order yet, you didn't get to answering that question with one of your, 4 at least, removed accounts at the bfl forum?
319  Other / Off-topic / Re: Already delays in BFL shipment plans? on: November 06, 2012, 09:31:36 PM
Well then why not a burn in for 48 hours... or 96 hours... or how about a whole week?

Because the math doesn't work.  And it doesn't work for 24 hours, unless the amount of defective units that can not be identified within a 1 hour burn in is enormous, like 20% of the total manufactured products.
Indeed. Run a burn-in on a fixed number batch for 24 hours, check failure number of units after 2 hours, after 6 hours, ectetera. Apply burn-in test duration that proved safe to rely on for next batches.

MeSarah's posts asked Cablepair about his new asic device and FCC compliance, in the BTCFPGA thread, someone started to shout "MUST BE BFL SHILL"!", forumhauptman removed said posts. And all the CABFL were happy and chilled again.
