3021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold out or sell Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2018, 10:16:08 AM
With the price starting to creep up again do you think it's a good time to start selling some of my investments or do you think it's worth holding on for a while longer?

We all know how temperamental the market can be but do you think this is just a short term spike?

I think its not the time to sell just yet. Even if bitcoin has upped a remarkable 4k dollars from its lowest point last month; I think that it still can go up; however, I think that if you feel you want to cash in, especially if you bought your Bitcoins for around 6k, the 3-4k increase is already a significant return, so if you feel like it's the right time to sell, then by all means. On the other hand, if you don't have any use for the money, then I would suggest to just keep it as an investment and gain more after a few months.
3022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any ways to avoid non paying bounty campaigns? on: February 28, 2018, 09:45:43 AM
I think this is very difficult, because often it is up to them to decide whether to pay the bounty or not. They may use many reasons to refuse, but more is a scam that can not be avoided, just as cryptocurrency is characterized by anonymity and you No way to punish the project team, you can only remember the name, to avoid the next time to participate in their activities.

I agree. It would be difficult to have everything perfect. Every move, in this market especially, are full or risks and can lead to losses at any available alley. However, to avoid bad campaigns, I think that the most important aspect is diligence. You should check everything with due critical eye to make sure that projects you choose would lead to a success, and if not, would still get you paid. Some say that it's important to choose projects that have a product or new concept to front them, since people tend to gravitate on those new ideas instead of old ones. Also, check the developers and the management teams, if their backgrounds and trust ratings are borderline shady, then don't join in those projects.
3023  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency on: February 28, 2018, 09:31:22 AM
Can cryptocurrency become universal means of exchange. I mean can it be a global legal tender like the physical money

I think it can be a global currency, however, treating it as a global tender would still take a lot of time, and at the moment, is too far-fetched. Cryptocurrencies have not even penetrated the deeply in the trade, investment and currency exchange market for it to have such capacity to be considered as a global money. I think, it is more possible to reach a point when it can interplay with many of the currencies and be accepted as a legitimate currency rather than that to happen.
3024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest upon??? on: February 28, 2018, 09:00:45 AM
You need to check the coinmarketcap and determine what coins have a less volatile behaviour in the market. Once you do some research on the coin, and perhaps ask some experienced members of the community of their advice then you will be ready to choose what coin to invest or trade in.
I would recommend coins that show progress and high potential.

That's right. Since there are so many coins around the market right now, it's hard to just name any random coin, or even the established ones without basis. I mean, it's easy to tell you that LTC, Waves, Stellar and Ethereum are good choices. However, no one really knows, especially in this market, what the future may hold. I mean, at one time, everyone is believing in Bitcoin because of its every increasing value, only to see those same people heavily doubt it when it dumps. Therefore, look for those coins that you can buy cheap that has good potential to increase. Like the above-stated reply, checking the market cap and its behavior are good indicators.
3025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want a long term investment what s the best choice for now? on: February 28, 2018, 08:30:23 AM
I want a long term investment what s the best choice for now?
And thank you for ur help

How long term are you planning to invest? Years or just a few months? Anyway, for that I would suggest Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other high-valued coins of similar footing. They are good for long term investments because you can haul big profit from them once they surge in value. Take Bitcoin for example, it can go by for months without any increase, with even a few dumps here and there, but once it catches fire and starts to surge, you can see a significant increase in value that would give you big profit. Like what happened recently, it plunged to a meager 6.2k dollars, only to rise up to 10.6k dollars again.
3026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How the regulations will affect crypto - my opinion on: February 28, 2018, 07:37:49 AM
Goverments firstly focusing on regulating ICOs. Cause ICOs are damaging the stocksmarket.
All goverments are hardly regulating stocks markets and they have emergency buttons to stok hard crashes.
They all know that stocks market is revolutinazing to blockchain by ICOs. And they afraid of hard drops and also politicians afraid from lose their profits which they are getting from early hidden strategies they are using in stokc markets.

Stocks Market is going to lose volume cause of ICOs and this is going to be a very funny movie.

I agree. Governments, although it is a political body is also a business entity by way of checking out where to get funds for their country. And as such, they would try to take advantage of markets in their local and also in the international sphere to gain more revenue. One of the booming markets nowadays is the cryptocurrency market; I have said many times that it is inevitable that the governments would try to regulate it or impose taxes on it because it's their way of controlling it. When they are laws that regulate its practice, the government gains a hold or grasp of it, and therefore, can be used to their advantage.
3027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why People Can Not Believe Bitcoin on: February 23, 2018, 10:57:16 AM
Hello Everyone.
Recently my friends Asked me. Now I can investment with bitcoin. I said my friends. Of course you can invest bitcoin without tension.
but my friends can not believe bitcoin.my friends tell me bitcoin price always dumping. It's will be got this scam. Cry
I got this boring felling with my friends opinion. Because I always believe them bitcoin about.
Bitcoin is the real king crypto currency world. Bitcoin will be never scam. It's not possible.  Embarrassed

I think that it's not like peope "cannot" believe; I think that there are just factors that make them doubt cryptocurrency, and specifically, Bitcoin, which may be due to several different factors. First off, some media entities have released too many write-ups that tarnish and damage the image of cryptocurrencies with people. Although it has its own risk, some expand it in such a way that people would view it as a high-risk market that it would be better for them to stir clear of it. Another are governments, when a government does not support cryptocurrency, and more so, tells people to be treat it with extreme caution, it adds a stigma that it is a prohibited type of business, and so to follow, people don't even try to understand how it works. Saying all that, I think that if people would just see beyond those propaganda and fake news, and learn cryptocurrency by themselves and see its advantages, it's not easy to like it.
3028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: February 23, 2018, 09:55:56 AM
I discovered bitcoin when it was about $5 per coin and during that time for several reasons I could not buy it. I discovered eth and xmr when they were around $10 per coin and I could not find a good place to buy them. I discovered netko when it was about $0.05 and I could not get the wallet compiled. I probably had around 40 bitcoins and cashed them all out under $800 and I could name more.

You?

Well, I think I feel the same; however, I have come to accept the fact that I also have my reasons why I didn't go in the market earlier on. When I encountered  and knew about cryptocurrencies about four years ago, it was not as popular then, and many are thinking that it was just a scam or a scheme to take advantage of people. So, you would natural think that you would want to avoid entering in those kinds of shady deals. I didn't really and fully understand how it works until a workmate explained it to me, and in detail, told me how it works. After that, I started to get interested, and I studied more about it before fully entering into ventures, with which I started with ICOs. To sum up, my regret is not believing in the market early on to be one of the so called pioneers. Many have already benefited so much because they were one of the first to learn and take advantage of cryptocurrencies.
3029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: February 23, 2018, 09:25:19 AM
ICOs is always the best trend to invest right now, but ICOs is always with 50% is scam. You must read the company infomation carefully and decide to spent money into it later. Research skill is nescessary.
- Here is a thread with some advice for who want to invest to ICOs : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2889318.0.
Do not throw your money through the window

I agree. I think many would agree to this idea because there are lots and lots of ICOs coming out on a daily basis. As an investor though, you should be able to choose the projects that have potential to prosper as compared to those that won't even scratch the surface of the market. If you want to invest, you should device a criteria that would guide you to choose the better projects. Check on indicators like the concept or product and the developers wanting the capital. Check if it is a legitimate project, and also, check the time table they proposing for you to get a return.
3030  Economy / Economics / Re: Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years on: February 22, 2018, 10:50:42 PM
There are quiet plenty of them around here, as i have been reading here since before, there are few of them who claimed they had bought it when it was still cheaper, while some also just hide their identities and atill remaining quiet about their earnings. As far as i can still remember there is an articke about it, i just forgot the link just try to look for it.

I agree. I think there are some people who have held their BTC for a long time. Just in waiting to actually encash it for profit. However, like the thread said, three years is already a long time, and a lot could have happened within those years. I think that when investing, the best would be a year or maybe a little over it. Having to keep your coins longer than that would be too risky and unsure because of the time period. Also, it's already too long that the end game of gaining profit would be nullified, and I think, the investment won't be as gainful anymore due to the time discrepancy.
3031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do I prefer LTC over BTC? on: February 22, 2018, 10:36:39 PM
Bitcoin is considered the king of cryptocurrencies and Litecoin has been a bit downgraded this days. However, I would prefer Litecoin over Bitcoin because of the following reasons:

LTC is more cheaper and faster these days.
Is easier to mine.
It has introduced Segwit and other advanced technologies before BTC did.

Is not that reluctant to media noise as BTC is.
Is more (relatively) stabile than BTC.

Did I miss anything? Are these points argumentative? What would you add as your favorite LTC feature? Looking for an interactive discussion!

I agree with some of your raised points. I think, however, that the main thing here is the discrepancy and difference in price point. Bitcoin is situated in the highest tier in terms of price point and LTC, on the other hand, is on the lower tiers. Therefore, for beginner traders or investors, it would be easier to eye on LTC than BTC because of that. You can get more asset by shedding a smaller capital as compared with Bitcoin when even if you would use big sums of money, you would only get a few, thus making your venture in danger of early stoppage, especially in the moment of a loss.
3032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: February 22, 2018, 10:20:27 PM
this is a very risky move honestly.. i would not quit my job to go deep dive into BTC and rely on it.
Nowadays it's hard to find a proper job and if you have it you should stick to it to have an income, one thing you can do is to find some spare time every day and study or work for BTC.. you need an income anyway, think twice before doing this jump into the dark.

I agree. Although that can be done, I think it can only be possible if you have ample savings to be able to handle all your expenses for yourself and your family, if you have one. As I have been in the market for quite some time, I have come to learn that ventures even the easiest, like ICOs, can takes months at a time to be realized, so it would be too difficult to quit your job and not have a steady income to support your needs. After all, needs and expenses are a constant, and so, not having money to answer for them would be problematic. So, yes, it may be done, but only if you have enough to help you go by.
3033  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy in your country on: February 22, 2018, 09:44:22 PM
What do you think are the effects of btc in your country? Because in my country it thus not affect the economy of ours. Share yours.

I think, at the moment, Bitcoin, or the cryptocurrency market in general, has no real effect on the economy of my country yet, because unfortunately, we are one of the countries that have never fully accepted and embraced the advantages of Bitcoin in all its glory and uses. However, its not also prohibited to do actions related to it, thus, for those individuals who have been in the market for quite a while now, I think that it has really helped them alot by means of giving them financial freedom and a good source of extra income. In fact, one of my workmates have really improved his lifestyle and savings due to his earnings emanating from the cryptocurrency market. He is the one that convinced me to finally try my hand in it.
3034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin now you think had a good future on: February 22, 2018, 09:13:31 PM
I think so far Eth,Waves really deserve to be considered as altcoin which has good chance for future investment.
Because currently there are several ICOs that use flatfrom from both these coins so that it can add popularity and population of its users.

I agree. I would not talk about Bitcoin because it is already the leading coin now, and judging from its current state, it would be the favorite to be the "coin of the future" since it has better value, potential and marketability amongst all coins in the market. As an alternative, I agree with the above-stated reply that Eth would be that coin of the future for the sake of this thread. It has a similar path taken by Bitcoin during its humble beginnings and more people are also believing it as the second best coin in the market.
3035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why hackers can get into Myetherwallet on: February 22, 2018, 08:58:31 PM
Well, there are a couple of different possibilities of what might have happened.

You might have logged into a phishing website and hackers acquired your login data that way.
Or you have malware on your PC, perhaps a keylogger or something else.

Never install any software if you're not sure that the source is safe.

That's right, I am not saying that hacking is not bad; however, they are not to blame every time something like this happens, just like the different reasons stated above. Another one is through airdrop enrollments, I have a friend that enrollment in an airdrop that asks for wallet information only to find out the enrollment site is not a legit one, but is equipped with data recovery programs to get one's wallet information of some sort. Just like what happened to you, all his holdings in that wallet were also stolen. I guess, the best move here is to change your wallet and just be cautious in keeping it, no matter what.
3036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoins to day trade? on: February 22, 2018, 08:43:27 PM
Can you guys recommend to me some good altcoins to day trade?

I think Top Altcoins are better for trading because they're all dumping and pumping like Bitcoin.
If I do Day Trading, I would choose either Ethereum, NEO and LiteCoin. They are good coins and indeed will offer you good return of investments. I would rather doing trading of these coins and other Top Altcoins because they're not pumping high and dumping low. Seems they're just trying to move forward and pull back every day.
I know I would earn good profits when I do trading because Buy Low, Hold and Sell High is the most profitable trading formula since the beginning of the world civilization.

I have the same coin on my list with the addition of Stellar, Waves and Dash. I think that your choice of coin would depend on your goal in terms of what kind of trade you are pursuing. Short term investment are good for those low budget coins that you can get for a low price point but may have the chance to increase at least 50-80% in a short while. On the other hand, long term investments are better for those high value coins like Ethereum that increase slowly over a period of several months. However, for long term type trade investments, it is a mixed trade and hold deal that would need patience and strategy.
3037  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: February 22, 2018, 08:13:42 PM
The sharing economy is just going to continue to grow, and governments will be challenged to understand and manage its implications while embracing its benefits. However, governments will be at a significant disadvantage if they wait too long and newer technologies and markets will have already been developed that do not follow traditional models. Think of the following: Uber is the world’s largest taxi service and owns no cars. Airbnb provides lodging yet does not own real estate.

How will local governments adapt to these new ways of doing business that are disrupting traditional business models? All we know now is that governments are a long way from even contemplating and accepting this new reality.

I think before you start thinking of the local government, which would only follow suit with how the national government moves, I think that it is better to focus on how the governments accepts, adapts and embraces the cryptocurrency market, specifically Bitcoin as part of the local economy of their country. Many of the pioneers of these movements have already harvested the benefits of their early change of heart, because as of now, the market has turned into a global power that may affect world trade and business systems at large. Also, since more government now have opened their eyes in the fact that Bitcoin is a legit means of business, more and more would try to rumble things up to make it fit in their local business plans to have some gainful revenue.
3038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to start buying bitcoin or should i wait? on: February 22, 2018, 07:32:41 PM
Hi, a friend told me that this is the best time to start buying btc because it's price is dropping, but do you think i should wait and see if it keeps going down? I only have a small amount of money to invest. Thanks for your help, I'm new to this world

At this point, I would say that any time is a good time. Bitcoin is having a run to get some of its value back, and before it does, it would be better to invest and buy now before it continues to grow beyond 10k dollars, and you would have to need a bigger capital to invest. Right now, its playing between 7k-8k dollars, and so, it would be better to get some now, if you have the capital to do so. If you would wait, I am afraid that there are more chances now for it to go up than down compared to the past several weeks when it went down to its lowest at around 6.2k dollars. Thus, it's better to buy now.
3039  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pagbaba ng bitcoin on: February 22, 2018, 06:10:54 PM
Bakit kaya s0brang baba ng halaga ng bitc0in ngay0n? Babagsak pa kaya ito hanggang 100k? Salamat sa magko c0mment!
normal lang yan ganyan talaga algo ni bitcoin pag nag dump sya ng todo mag pupump sya super parang last last year baba taas lang price ni bitcoin. pag sobrang baba nya sure yan after a month or year todo pump mangyayare dyan. madami nakong nababasa tungkol dito nangangamba karamihan ng mga investor ni bitcoin,

I agree. That was the trend that it followed last year. For months, it was stagnant and didn't move much, with times when it dumped quite low. It had everybody shaking on their feet that Bitcoin won't be able to get back from that black hole, but Bitcoin proved itself to really be a strong market asset when it surged in value and almost tripled reaching a max of about 19k dollars. It set the record, and Bitcoin has outdone even itself.
3040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its too late to invest in Bitcoin! on: February 22, 2018, 05:49:01 PM
With the high price of Bitcoin, I think its unwise to invest your money in bitcoin at this point in time. Maybe it's better to look for other Altcoins being offered in the Market. What do you think?

If you think that is high already, you should have seen when it was around 15k-17k dollars mate. However, like most of the people here would tell you, I think that it's never too late to invest in the cryptocurrency market, specifically with Bitcoin. It's just a higher capital you need, but if you can shed it out, it would be worth it in the end. The value may go down, but it would recuperate and go up again, that's just how it goes in this market. Therefore, if you plan to invest in Bitcoin, just check when it is the best time to buy depending on its price or your capacity in terms of capital.
