3061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Olympic athlete gets paid in cryptocurrency on: February 13, 2018, 09:10:15 PM
Good news, today cryptocurrency reached Olympic games industry! Smiley
Speed skater Ted-Jan Bloemen gets paid in cryptocurrency

Wow, I didn't expect that. I think some of them athletes have already set their eyes on the cryptocurrency market, at least those who have signed up with getting paid through cryptocurrencies. However, as I know, that may be an incentive from their government because athletes join the Olympics  to represent their countries are actually not getting paid for it. So having read that they accept cryptos as payment, then that means whatever country they are coming from, is showing their support on embracing the market, which is an even better news.
3062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Verge on: February 13, 2018, 08:52:28 PM
Verge is a long term buy/hold currency, with a lot of potential from an investment standpoint.

I agree. Having to look at how it moved in the recent time. It gained slow and not so substantial price point. Having said, although it has a lot more room to improve, any investor should accept the fact that any investment with it would take months or even years at a time. Since its one of the newer coins in the market, it would get more support, but once it subsides, its gain would be slower than now, so you should also be ready for that.
3063  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I can make money with cryptocurrencies? on: February 13, 2018, 08:37:18 PM
Hello guys,
How are you everybody?
I am very interested to know about how to make real money with cryptocurrencies. Can anyone help me please?

Thanks

Buy and Hodl

The best way to earn through cryptocurrencies is to buy some potential coins and hodl for a period. You need to do a simple research once and need a little patience. Bet on some large cap and popular cryptocurrencies and forget your holdings for a year and enjoy 5x-10x returns.

Trading

Trading is the best way to earn huge profit on your initial investment. But the crypto market is very volatile, uncertain, unpredictable and unregulated which brings about huge risks along with huge profits. Before starting with crypto trading, do analyze the market either with a dummy account or with small amount of money. Returns are huge(2x-100x), but risks are big too.

Mining

There are some cryptocurrencies whose mining is profitable like LTC, Zcash, ETH etc. But I would say unless you really want to do it, invest in them instead the same amount you would need to invest initially for mining, profits would be better.

Other ways are:

Faucets (mere time waste)
Sell a service or product for cryptocurrencies
Masternode staking
Giving loans

For now this is the best thing to do. Since the market is not in a good state, where many coins are down or going that way. It would be better to buy and hold on them until such time that their values go up and their price points as well. The cryptocurrency market is such a diverse market that there are so many ways to invest and get profit from it. To name a few, you can do day trading, ICO investments, ICO bounty campaigns, Airdrops and Faucets, and some more means. You just have to choose what fits your capacity and ability.
3064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why all coins are dropping? on: February 13, 2018, 08:08:13 PM
probably because the price of bitcoin and ethereum goes down so people sell their altcoin to switch to bitcoin or ethereum, and that's why altcoin prices go down, and bitcoin and ethereum prices go down because those who sell them panic when they see bitcoin and ethereum go down a bit and sell it straight away for fear it will not rise again (according to my prediction).

I agree. Since the most powerful coins are going down, some people are reacting to that and is limiting their usage and transactions of so many coins across the market. Since the reason why coins may gain value is the number of transactions it controls, many are going down right now because those transactions are focused on low valued coins and not on the high ones like Ethereum and Bitcoin. Also, I think that it's just a normal market move, as one asset goes up, less people can afford to invest in it, which makes it go down to attract more investments.
3065  Economy / Economics / Re: Positive thinking brings positive things. on: February 13, 2018, 07:53:44 PM
Forums are being filled with speculation, almost all topics that appear lead to falling bitcoin prices, whether this will continue, this is the right time to buy, blah blah blah. Come on, the storm must pass, let us focus on the positive topics instead of continuing to discuss this 50% decline. Start talking about the positive news from Singapore deputy, bitcoin that has gone up 20% today and others. Think positive and positive things will come.

I agree. If you are a true believer of this market, the better thing to do instead of being panicky is to be positive that the market will recuperate and just plan ahead. Many successful cryptocurrency users have showed great patience and good use of their knowledge of the trends and changes in the market. The more patient you are, the better investments you could make because you would make sure that all ventures you do are well-thought and well-timed as well.
3066  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: February 13, 2018, 07:38:54 PM
Which one suits you the most?

I think most of the users here use myetherwallet; it had really proven itself many times and has kept most holdings safe, except those that have been hacked by way of their users giving out their wallet information to scammers or online information thieves through websites they make that some people think are legit enrollments, most especially airdrops. But for most parts, myetherwallet is pretty safe and it carries many different kinds of coins.
3067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are going to change our lives? on: February 13, 2018, 07:23:01 PM
I really hope for ETH. I think this coin will still show its best.

I agree mate. I think Ethereum being one of the best altcoins around and the most reliable as well would be a game changer as it would keep on improving. As it gains more and more support from people and as it closes in to Bitcoin, it would command more value and investment from many people. What I mostly like about it is how enduring it was during the time the market was really in a bad state. It was able to keep its ground and not lose so much value unlike other altcoins.
3068  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Trading When Red? on: February 13, 2018, 07:07:31 PM
thinking realistically with the price on all crypto for now maybe we should rather wait on the crypto price movement as usual and temporarily do not need to do trading activities. maybe for now the right thing is to put some money out of our own pocket to buy some cryptoes that have good predictions for the future but I think this needs the courage of each other because we will not be able to predict whether things this will last for a while or temporarily. I just recommend doing what you believe.

I agree. However, even if the market is in "red" and everything is down or going down. The market is so diverse that you can invest in so many other coins that could be gaining some value even if most are not going up as planned. However, on a more general view, I think most people would choose to stop trading or hold when the market is down because most people, especially the seasoned ones are investing on the same coins, and since all those are going down, then many would choose to hold than be active right now.
3069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: February 13, 2018, 06:52:19 PM
The thumb rule in case of bitcoin should be never to sell bitcoin. I would be buying if the price decreases for sure. Also its a good idea to buy it every month so even if the price does decrease, one can average down on their buying price.

I agree. Patience is the key to everyone who is venturing in this market, especially when all coins are going down. It would not be a smart move to trade or invest during the times when most of the market assets, including bitcoin is going down in value because you would most likely get a loss than a profit. Or, another good thing to do when bitcoin is running low is to look out for other coins to invest in. It is good that the cryptocurrency market is so diverse and filled with so many coins that even if some of many of them are not in a good state, there could always be a few that can give you gainful investments.
3070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to Buy with Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2018, 06:28:03 PM
Reading a lot of New Year Resolutions, and I can understand many of you here have some resolutions that involve crypto and bitcoin. Maybe you want to earn a bitcoin, multiply your  bitcoins or become a crypto millionaire.

So here is one similar question that does not necessarily has to be achieved in this year.

What are the things you want to buy with bitcoin?
Whether its a House, your favorite car, a yacht, a jet or a ticket to Mars. Whatever you dream, list the things you want to buy with your bitcoins (crypto).

For me, I just want to use it in an investment cycle. I want to use the profit to continually get a bigger investment and a bigger return. Although cryptocurrency, specifically bitcoin investments could give good returns, it may also take a lot of time to realize. It can take months or even years at a time. Right now, I don't think I am knowledgeable enough and have the right tools to actually do trading. Therefore, I try to extend my profit by alloting all my earnings there instead of encashing them.
3071  Local / Pamilihan / Re: UNIONBANK LAUNCH BLOCKCHAIN PAYMENT SYSTEM on: February 09, 2018, 10:57:05 AM

http://news.abs-cbn.com/business/01/22/18/visa-unionbank-launch-blockchain-payment-system

I am feeling good reading this mate. I think it's a really big step in making more people be aware and embrace this market. I think many people in the Philippines are already involved in the cryptocurrency market, in this forum alone, I have seen many active people who are from the Philippines, joining different means and ventures to either earn profit or get a hold of different tokens and coins for future investment. Having one of the biggest banks in the country launch a payment system catering to this technology would open many doors and change the minds of many, who are up to now, reluctant and doubtful about the legitimacy of the cryptocurrency market.
3072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Consider Bitcoin To be An Anti-Government? on: February 09, 2018, 09:46:51 AM

Bitcoin is returning back the power to the people to determine their own financial fate and to make decisions away from the controlling power of the government. It is proposing a decentralized world where power can be distributed and not concentrated on the few or the elites as some would say.

In my own view, Bitcoin is offering an alternative to what the government is providing. And on this ground, many government people are viewing Bitcoin to be an expression of an anti-government movement. This can be the reason why they do not trust Bitcoin and some are out to stifle its growth.

The fact the many governments are afraid of Bitcoin is a manifestation that Bitcoin is successful in getting the attention of the government and many institutional establishments as to the many ills affecting a centralized system which we have known since we were born into this world.

I don't think it is. Although the government are hands-tied with trying to totally eradicate the cryptocurrency market because of the many things that are safely encrypted and comes with the private feature of cryptocurrency transactions, it could still regulate it and try to control it in many different ways for them to exploit and gain control of the profit it commands. There have been many countries that used the cryptocurrency market to actually improve their economies, and it also helped many people gain finances for themselves. How can you consider an industry that helps a lot of people to be anti-government, right?
3073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: February 09, 2018, 09:16:57 AM
Ripple,Monero,Dash,Eth

Same as my list mate. I trust these coins for different purposes. For long term investments, I would go for Monero and Ethereum. For short term, I would go for Ripple and Dash. I think these coins are those with the most potential right now. They can be held or be sold as well for fair profit, not as big as you can get from Bitcoin investment, but fair enough to be considered a "win" type of gain. Also, the two I chose for long term of two of the most enduring altcoins in the market, they at least hold a sense of safety, which in turn could also make your investment somewhat safe.
3074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin price drop so fast? on: February 09, 2018, 09:01:50 AM
Why the bitcoin price can drop so fast without any omen? Its trend like the classic bubble wave...

Its a normal thing in cryptocurrency and I believe its because of its volatility. If your too afraid of this ups and down then I suggest quitting crypto. It will just cause you a heart attack.  Grin just saying

That's right. I think by now, it's already a normalcy that coins may drop at any time, and that includes Bitcoin. Even if it is the strongest and the highest-valued coin in the market, it can still be affected by these market movements and changes. Also, as fast as it can go down due to its volatility feature, it can also go up as fast just like what happened recently. When it dropped to 6.2k dollars, it climbed up to 8.6k dollars in just a matter of days. If you're an investor or trader, just wait for the right time to do your business.
3075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If bitcoin is gone will the other coin survive? on: February 09, 2018, 02:57:50 AM
Bitcoin is not the last resort.
This, on the contrary, will give an incentive to other coins, where transactions are much faster, there are not many problems, and so on.
And most importantly, we know the creators of these coins and can follow the development)

I agree. Although Bitcoin is the strongest coin around, it cannot be the only factor why the market is running. It may hold a big piece of the market, but if it is gone, other coins may rise up and replace it to be the top dog. Also, the market is well saturated now that missing one coin could be covered by all the other coins.
3076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when you are over 50% lose on your trades? on: February 08, 2018, 11:47:04 PM
be patient. don't rush you take a decision, if the price is still down 50% from the beginning you buy, maybe now you must hold it for the time being. because it is at the beginning of the year often a decline in prices.

I agree. I think this is happening because you're hyped, and you want a short cut to get your losses back. I am not saying that trading is gambling, but just to show the context, when you gamble and you lose, you enter a state that you want to play more to get your loses back, on the other hand, if you win, you would want to play more to extend your winnings. Either way, the effact is the same, you want to play more for different, and wholly opposite reasons. Similar with losing in trades, you would normally want to get it back quickly, so the best move is to stay away from it, breathe, and check why you are losing, and do the necessary measures to avoid them.
3077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin over? on: February 08, 2018, 11:28:06 PM
Bitcoin price is getting down just like ski slop!
Is bitcoin over? do you think bitcoin will recover their price?
I'm afraid, I lost my everything almost 2million....

It may be getting down, but I think you're underestimating bitcoin by thinking that it's over. Bitcoin is the pioneer coin in the market, it has been the strongest, and it basically introduced the cryptocurrency to the world. I think you're mistaking the price slump it is experiencing as equals to its death. That's just how the market plays, I think. Just a few days, Bitcoin dropped to 6.2k dollars, but now, it's again up at 8.7 dollars. It has the power to rise up, thus, it is far from being over.
3078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why almost everybody suggest to hold? on: February 08, 2018, 11:13:14 PM
Almost all of the people suggesting to HODL have been involved long enough in the Bitcoin market to witness it grow from a three figures to a five figure value in the past year and it comes as no surprise that they would suggest everyone to HODL in this bearish trend. The eventual rebound is bound to happen sooner or later and those who would've held on patiently will be the ultimate winners.

In any market, including the cryptocurrency market, every investment or venture is often done for the sake of profit, thus, if you would sell or get rid of your assets when the market is down would actually defeat the purpose of why you're investing at all. I doubt that a person would invest just to see it burn to ashes and amount to a loss, which means that, why would you sell when you can get zero profit from it, or worse, a negativeven profit. Holding is the best move to do and just wait out the fall down.
3079  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gaming using blockchain on: February 08, 2018, 10:37:59 PM
nag uumpisa na ang pag gamit ng blockchain technolgy and tokens. . isa na dito ang industriya ng Gaming. . ano sa tingin ninyo ang kagandahan at kasamaan nito pagdating sa ating nga investors. .

Why not? Games are quite notorious into urging people to buy tokens or game credits to have a more competitive experience. Since most games nowadays are heavily hinged on pay to play schemes. Having an extra option to buy game credits would be a good hit, especially to avid players. There are so many games  and buying game items with money would always be a shortcut, which most players want.
3080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to 3rd world countries on: February 08, 2018, 08:36:16 PM
Bitcoin could mean a lot to third world countries in terms of growth and development. I don't think the citizens of those countries would necessarily need to be using Bitcoins as we're talking about countries that can't provide full accessibility i.e proper internet services. Central banks of these countries can invest a part of their reserves into Bitcoin and taking it out a few years later would give them more money (that is if Bitcoin grows) instead of traditional USD margin.

I agree. For countries with poor or slow growing economies, the cryptocurrency market can contribute a lot of change and do significant good in improving their trade and investment industries. Also, it gives little people the power to better their lives through small investments. As they say, when the people is empowered and is going places financially, then the country also is empowered.
