3081  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: September 27, 2015, 09:49:03 PM
Here are the best ways to earn Bitcoins:

1. Gambling (very risky)
2. Trading (risky)
3. Loans
4. Mining
5. Playing games
6. Offering services
7. Sell something

If there’s any other way that I did not list here, please specify what other way would be best to earn some BTC.  Grin

So what you're saying is... you earn BTC the same way as you do cash (other than #4). Who would have thought? /s

They said the funds are safe.
The problem of these guys is that they would probably earn that monthly just being white hats, or being compensated with a forfeit worth of bitcoins for the help, but I guess being bad guys maked them feel better.

They don't do it for money, they do it for power. To make others back down to them in cowardice. That's all it is -- a power show.
3083  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Wager WARZ!| Weekly Rake+VIP| DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING on: September 27, 2015, 08:34:10 PM
For those of you whom may not understand, the betting for the wager warz competition is open now. Rhaver the owner of moneypot and bustabit is escrowing the wagers for everyone. We the admin and mods have no control of your funds. T he wagers are 100% safe and will be paid within 24 hours after the competition ends.

I really don't think an escrow is needed here... BB has shown that they're reputable/trustable, so I see no reason not to believe they'd pay out as stated.

Would you take a look at this? https://wallet.la/

Seems like TF had some free time in his hands after he was banned.

What makes you think this is TF's? It has none of his signatures on it, and in no way matches his style.

Only said that it seems like it. I have no way to prove that it's him, the websites do look identical though.

From the login screen to the way coins are given away, it all feels similarly to the original inputs.io

It might be him running it, or someone copying the design and/or trying to use that as a scapegoat along with trying to benefit from the much deserved controversy that haunts TF to this day.

Edit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/3mkkfb/l_sfyl_pending_captain_of_the_industry/cvg1ieo

I really don't think it's him. It doesn't match up to me, and he sold the code to all his sites, so anyone could be running a clone.
3085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: September 27, 2015, 06:34:14 PM
i think until now dice strategy is only a myth..

sometimes its work and sometimes its not so it will not always success....anyone knows chaos strategy? i heard it somewhere..

I had never heard of that, and all I can find is this: http://www.gamblersbookcase.com/ChaosBetting/

It seems like another book that just claims it does something so people buy it, then lose their money to both the book and the casino.

-1Btc this morning, use them well @ Ryan Grin

Ouch that is some pretty bad luck. You were playing with a much smaller bet size and instant crash did not happen, until you suddenly chose to go with max bet.

Looks like he's catching back up, though: -58,706.33 bits now. Almost back to net-zero!
3087  Economy / Gambling / Re: ApopheniaBTC - Bet and solve the challenges to win BTC. on: September 27, 2015, 06:30:58 PM
wow that last one looks very difficult  Huh Huh Huh Huh and yet it has the lowest bounty

I think I've been using the same starting pot amount on all pics the past few months. If you saw a pic with a higher one it's probably because someone tried an answer on it (part of the bet gets added to the bounty).

The latest puzzle say this in hint area: "Hint: What is this?"
What kind of hint is that? Cheesy

Still 65 hours and no prediction. It looks hard right now.

Well compare it with other hints like "Who is that?" or "Need the title." and this one ("what is this?") means that it's an object, animal, place. It's definitely not the name of a movie, game or person that I am looking for. :-)

Wow, then how could you think to make money when there are only few challengers in your site? That's very hard with these contestant number. You should do something more to earn more profit. This site has a unique puzzle in BTC community.

Yes this game is fresh and preaty unique, so I think it will do good if it gets promoted. But like he said he prefers to develop it a little more before going that way, and I think that is fair.
Looking forward to see how the new "game mode" will turn out!

Unfortunally I still haven't made much progress with the new mode. I've made detailed plans (database schema, API endpoints needed etc) but I haven't found much time to work on it yet.

When r u going to post a better quality picture or a clue?

I don't post better quality pictures, instead the pictures improve over time. If you click on a picture it will say how many hours are left. As this hour decrease towards zero, the picture become more and more clear, at some point turning into a black and white version of the original picture. The pictures refresh every 15-30 minutes to be specific.

BTW the latest picture is this one:

It's a burrito! I think... or something along those lines, Smiley.
3088  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] a-ads.com: buy ads, monetize your traffic + generous affiliate program! on: September 27, 2015, 06:29:28 PM
Like if I enter a captcha amount as a publisher, is there a way to show something like this:

0% captcha - 10 advertisers (of a total 18 advertisers)

Which would automatically show the new numbers if I entered a different captcha rate:

25% captcha - 12 advertisers (of a total 18 advertisers)

or

100% captcha - 18 advertisers (of a total 18 advertisers)

I've tried playing around with the captcha rates myself, but I can't really tell what effects it's having on my ad unit.

Implemented. When publisher adjusts the Max captcha rate, estimated percentage of budget is being displayed:

Not sure how hard of a change it would be to add something like a "Remove all selected traffic sources" button, but it could be a helpful feature.

Implemented a "Reset" button in campaign's targeting section:

Thanks for helping us to improve a-ads!

I love the captcha change, and think this helps alleviate my original issues. It brings more transparency to how much it's affecting us as publishers, which is huge. What captcha service is being used, btw?
3089  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Mellow Ads - simple, bitcoin advertising - CPM/CPC campaigns now available on: September 27, 2015, 06:25:53 PM
I like it , it is no.2  (after Adsense) on my revenue list.

Too bad that they have some server problems and the website is down frequently ...

They do need better hosting, website is down a lot and it slows the ads down as well, they load so slow

And... that's a bad issue. Load time affects bounce rates of users. The longer it takes a page to fully load, the bigger the chance of them leaving.

When a serious adveretiser see the website is down (even for a few minutes) 2-3 times per day , they run away ...
Beside that the publishers lose money ...(the ads don't show, the website is not loading, users go away)
We can see the results:  from over 2BTC network poll now is 0.6BTC

I'm wondering if ads here are done using async... that would at least help with the slow loading issue on user websites (since their viewers can still see their sites with no problem). Doesn't help earnings/ad views, but it's a start.

so, for repair or get back my ghs which decreased, i need to hire technicians, but the technician is permanent right? so if my hardware have a damage and need to repair, the technician repair it automatically?

Technicians do not repair automatically, you have to chose when to repair your device. If you buy a tech it is permanent. But you can also rent from employee market for 1 hour, it's cheaper than buying.

Hmmm, but that means it could be profitable to purchase them as a type of investment. I wonder how often they're rented?

This is one of the first strategies that I'm currently looking at to further maximize my earnings. Though they aren't rented often, still there is a high possibility that they may be used by other users who need them, also because it is cheap, it sure is a hit to people who needs something to be repaired. Smiley

Yeah, just noticed that the health of systems goes down a little slowly, and the site is somewhat new. I think in a month or two we'll see the real effects and how many people are renting, but those that already have them will benefit the most. Somewhat high-risk, high-reward, but may be worth doing.

We received an extortion demand, displayed below. We get these types of threats from time to time, and unfortunately, the perpetrators are sometimes able to disrupt our operations briefly.

We will mitigate the damage from these attacks and block many of them entirely. There is absolutely ZERO risk to player funds, which we have totally segregated and are entirely out of reach from the bad guys.

We apologize for any inconvenience. We think it is important to keep our loyal players informed about why we are changing the tournament schedule, canceling some events, and why we may have connectivity issues over the next few days.

We will never pay a single chip to extortion, ever. We believe in the wisdom of our forefathers when faced with another group of pirates in the 18th century: “millions for defense, not one cent for tribute.” Paying blackmail only makes the problem worse for our site and for the internet at large. Whether its hours, days, weeks or months, we will improvise, adapt and overcome.

Your loyalty and continued support means the world to us, and we will work tirelessly to provide you with the highest quality bitcoin poker experience possible.

This whole war thing sucks, and all it does is help put out a bad name for Bitcoin. People already look at BTC like it's a scam and is only used for illegal purposes, and others have to keep screwing it up by doing MORE illegal things with it. It's sad what the community/system is becoming.
3094  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: September 27, 2015, 06:13:15 PM
The investor profit is now +60 btc, so the commission system should have been kicked in already. But I just did a divestment and don't seem to see it. Also, it would be good to show my investment profit since the last commission payment on the investment page, so that I can have a clear picture of it before divesting.

Well the good news is that I've been busy, and haven't had the time to do proper testing for the investor commissions branch, so all earnings are completely free of commission at the moment. After the change lands, it is quite explicit about your investing profit and how much commissions will be charged. (and don't worry, it won't charge profits from before the change lands).

But at the moment it's taken a bit of a back seat to some of the bustabit maintenance work I've been doing, and building a brand-new exciting feature for MP (sorry, I won't leak too much, but it'll be really cool, I promise).

The gamblers were having some bad luck and investor profit has quickly gone up to +69 now. Considering the system was supposed to start working at +50, the delay has kind of cost you 1.9 btc. As a bankroll investor, it is a great news, so feel free to keep working on the new feature lol. Cheesy

Shhhh! Let the man work, Smiley.

//disclaimer: investor here, but really want to see the new feature. i brainstormed it a bit but really couldn't come up with anything I feel like MP is "missing," so really excited to see what's coming.

Arrallmuss...could you help me why my roll so slow? it takes 3-5 sec to roll with 100 satoshi..

does betterbest now throttle the speed of small bets?

Hiya pierre, BetterBets throttled bets below 100 satoshi and not above 100 satoshi but unfortunately Moneypot throttled bets under 1000 satoshi so that is why your bet is slower. Sorry for that, it is not something BetterBets control unfortunately  Smiley

As a temporary measure, I've added a 0.5 second delay for all bets < 1 bit and a 0.1 second delay for all bets < 10 bits. Bets of 10 bits of greater will go through without any delay at all.

It still shouldn't be 3-5s. Mine are 0.76s with 1sat bets. His should be like 1.6/s
3096  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [ANN] MinerFarm - Virtual Mining Game for Real Bitcoin on: September 27, 2015, 07:06:35 AM
Hard to tell how often they'll be rented, but assuming a large player base is never going to invest they'll be forced to lease them as their miners will require repairs before they have enough to outright purchase techs.

so, for repair or get back my ghs which decreased, i need to hire technicians, but the technician is permanent right? so if my hardware have a damage and need to repair, the technician repair it automatically?

Technicians do not repair automatically, you have to chose when to repair your device. If you buy a tech it is permanent. But you can also rent from employee market for 1 hour, it's cheaper than buying.

Hmmm, but that means it could be profitable to purchase them as a type of investment. I wonder how often they're rented?

Yeah, wondering if people are already renting them, Smiley. It's basically a decision of opportunity cost... determining if it will pay back before the site goes down (even major corporations don't last forever).
3097  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Win XBOX or PS4| Weekly Rake+VIP| DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING on: September 27, 2015, 07:03:06 AM
And that +70 BTC is the TOTAL profit for all (site owner split, commissions included). Actual investor profit is far less.

I am not so sure about that. According to http://dicesites.com/moneypot, that 69 btc profit is the actual investor profit, while app owners and MoneyPot get 126 and 27 btc respectively.

Correct, the profit shown in the investment tab is pure investor profit after the cut from the profit share. Also according to dicesites the investor's profit is 12 BTC more than the expected profit so it is actually alot

Ahhh, someone said before that the profit shown on the site was all-inclusive.
3098  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make Bitcoin transactions untraceable? on: September 27, 2015, 05:34:36 AM
you should make your bitcoin anonymous from the start. which means you should buy it with cash from someone and place it in a new address.
this way it will have no links to you, because buying from any sort of exchange or using credit card would link it to you.

If you use it at some point, you've now created a link between you and the coins. So you still aren't anonymous.

Guys he is selling the account with bitcoins and not just the bitcoins lol.

Probably his account is blocked and coinbase is requiring to verify his account. That's why he is selling it.

He offered to use escrow. If you can't withdraw it, you lost nothing. If you can, you get it. I'd just be worried about it being hacked and getting in legal trouble.
