sorry if I ask again but does anyone know what happened to sharp dice site? it is dead for me. are the owners or monbux the mod still following this thread? thx

The owner Dogedigital has been busy for a very long time and I haven't seen him online on the Sharpdice chat ever since the trivia day happened in Sept. I have sent him a PM to notify him the problem, and hopefully he will fix it soon.

With MP being sold, that could also affect things here with SD.

anyway it is very strange that either the owner nor monbux answer quite important questions. but why should MP deal affect SD to offer his app to us = customers? do you think that it will affect also other apps?

it was a nice site with a very low HE

Nobody knows who the new owner of MP will be yet. Users trust MP because of Ryan. Someone else may not garner the same trust for players, much less site owners (who stake their reputation on MP).

I'm with you on this being the best site for U.S. customers. The bad part to me is that their support needs a serious makeover. The lack of knowledge of their own site and the way they treat customers is reminiscent of asking for assistance at Walmart (aka you might as well masturbate with sandpaper, because at least then you'd get a little satisfaction).

I have a question for people saying this is the best site for US customers...what advantage do you feel Betcoin has over other WPN skins?

These are the advantages:

1)  An exclusive player field for cryptocurrency players alongside the Network's player pool.
2)  Lower minimum deposits.
3)  Lower minimum withdrawals.  Also faster....less stringent document verification.
4)  Acceptance of Litecoin.
5)  The Daily Coin Tourney.
6)  PLUS....everything the WPN has to offer accept "Jackpot SnG's" and "Spin to Get Ins"....

Pretty much this. The ability to play using BTC instead of fiat is a big one. Do the other sites allow you to join BTC-denominated tables?

You can deposit using BTC at some of the skins (mins and max suck though and document verification is still required even with BTC to withdraw) but only Betcoin offers the exclusive Bitcoin tournaments which have a totally soft player pool in my opinion.

Alot of this is not accurate.

I've deposited and withdrawn from 5dimes (the sharktank) BetDSI and Bookmakers.eu without ever providing any documents.  Once I had to wait ~18 hours a couple months ago, but no longer than 6 hours since.  I received a large withdraw earlier today within an hour of requesting it.

I believe you are referring to ACR BCP and TruePoker which I believe require documents - I can't play on those because of the laws in my state , so I'm not sure.

(For those that don't know, Betcoin has not had access to WPN tournaments for a couple weeks now.  I am not going to speculate on whats actually going other than It's unlikely they are giving us the whole story.)

As for the cash games comparison.  Betcoin does have seperate bitcoin only cashgames, but compared to the cash games on the other skins it's a ghost town.

Right now Betcoin has 5 cash games going all of them the equivalent of 30NL or lower.  0 PLO games.  0 SNGs. and one free roll with a $3 ticket for the winner. (30NL = 100big blind max buyin is $30, so .15/.30 blinds)

On 5dimes, BetDSI or BookMaker you could easily play 12 tables of 10NL 25NL 50NL 100NL or 200NL+ - same with PLO!

There are more players on Partypokey NJ than Betcoin, AND YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY BE IN NJ TO LOG ON!

Betcoins Exclusive Cash Game

WPN CASH GAMES (All WPN Skins Except Betcoin)

PARTYPOKER NJ

Now does a reply like this seem genuine to you?

Quote
Dude are you serious?  I see you continue to post and I see more and more action in Betcoin ring games and Betcoin tournaments.  You realize that you are bumping this thread and keeping Betcoin in the top spot here?  I see several hundred people playing daily including many very high stakes players and I never see them complaining...

It's really hard to compare the two, though. When you compare BTC to fiat you're literally comparing apples to oranges. The majority of BTC users aren't playing cash games on ANY BTC-related poker site. Fiat still reigns king there.

Hi baztardo

I have two websites pending approval for more than 72 hours

You can check please

thank you in advance

We have just gone through all the pending websites (over 700!) and approved or rejected each manually Smiley

Wow. How long was that backlog for? Like a couple days or have some been pending a week+ prior?

I would like to see other type of Poker tournaments and Sit n GOs. Ca you add Poker knockout tournaments and sit n gos to the room?

There's a knockout that runs daily and tons of SNGs offered.  The only problem is that few people are playing them.

The issue with KO tournaments is it helps promote donkey play (i.e., "I will take this risk because if I happen to win, I get a bounty"). That's how it is on most sites at least. Does the same happen here?

Well, MTTs with a high % of the prize pool allocated for bounties do have a lot looser of play, but a lot of that is supported by basic math.  Also, why do you not want other people to play "like donkeys"?  That's what makes the games good!

But to your question, my experience playing that tournament is that people are slightly loose but it's not anything drastic.  Everyone is still pretty much horrible in other ways.

Donkeys get lucky too. There's no fun in someone who just goes all-in all the time -- especially when they wipe out an entire table because they got lucky on a hit. Best case scenario is they keep building a chip stack while everyone folds, giving them a strategic advantage.

My understanding is the other skins convert the BTC to fiat. So you could deposit 1 BTC, make 10% profit, BTC goes up 100% in value, and you've lost 0.45 BTC ($100+10=110/200=$55). At Betcoin, you could have deposited 1 BTC, made 10% profit, BTC goes up 10000x in value, and you still have the same BTC (so your fiat value has increased by BTC's value).
2367  Economy / Gambling / Re: [AUCTION] MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: November 16, 2015, 07:24:28 AM
Someone with an existing setup has MORE incentive to get MP. Cross-promotion and a growing base benefit BOTH businesses.

I am not sure I understand it. I mean, MP and the other bitcoin gambling sites are competing with each other and most of the games on MP have a relatively lower edge. Let's say for example, if Stunna or Dean buy MP, sure he could get some of the MP users to switch to use PD/PRC but it is far more likely for him to get his PD/PRC users to switch to MP and to play on those games with a lower edge (and owner of MP has a small take on profit after commission to app owners and investors). How could it be a good deal to him?  Huh

Why do companies do takeovers of their competition? If that's seriously your question, I highly suggest you just look into basic economics, Smiley.

2369  Economy / Gambling / Re: [AUCTION] MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: November 16, 2015, 07:06:49 AM
Aside from the workload, is there any special reason you are selling this ? Its kinda a waste because either why you as the owner and investor there is making money while its still running

I don't think it's fair for app developers if I just leave it running idle if I am able to find a new owner who had more time for it. Also, it's a huge liability to just leave unattended (e.g. Just today, I had to do a security update for libpng buffer overflow, which could potentially haven exploited by a hacker with the thumbnail uploading).

Sigh, I was gone for a few days and just come back to read this sad news. I believe the sale is a bad idea for further development of MP as the new owner has to gain the trust starting from scratch. I see on the auction thread that you are not going to sell it to a completely anonymous person, but TBH there are only a few persons out there that people generally trust for such a large amount of btc and many of those persons are already running their own site and probably have little incentive to buy MP.

Anyway, you have done an excellent job in promoting and running MP for the past months. Thanks.

I meant these questions.

Have you noticed they are completely ignoring every issue I've mentioned in this thread?

Do you think it's fair for a site to keep funds which have been confiscated from players who colluded or somehow cheated other players?

Do you think Betcoin seizes funds from cheaters?

What do you think they do with them?

I dont want to make big deal about the paying players for compliments thing, just want to make it clear that its entirely possible that many of the posts in this thread which may appear to be unsolicited and unbiased could be motivated by a monetary reward in reality.

I do appreciate someone who disagrees actually taking the time to say something other than "betcoin is awesome what are you talking about idiot"

Okay, I am sure that once an investigation is concluded, if in fact it were substantiated, the monies would be returned.  As far as collusion, that's a very hard claim to substantiate in tournament play because collusion is an inherent and strategic part of the tournament style of play...try playing the SnG's at Bovada and you'll see what I mean, it's the worse site on the internet as far as collusion goes.

As far as posts in this thread being less than sincere because they want to receive a stipend for their post...I'd agree with you accept....I truly believe that Betcoin is the best site there is for US players at the moment.  I still play at them all depending on their game schedules.  I've been playing online poker for a very long time, and aside from some software issues, Betcoin is by far the most advantageous site to play on at the moment for a whole list of reasons.  Believe me...I'd be the first to start yelling foul if I believed otherwise....all over 2plus2, Cardchat, Bitcointalk....etc.

I'm with you on this being the best site for U.S. customers. The bad part to me is that their support needs a serious makeover. How much site earned in last 1 week, 2 weeks and 1 month?

Is the site require work with it, or it just earning alone without big help?

if the site is earning alot then it won't be put up in auction..

He already said it's made 35 BTC since its start.

Is it possible the new owner takes over and shuts games down? I'm sure betterbers has no worries but what about the smaller games?

I think that's a very slim chance. Why would someone spend that much just to throw it away?

Depends what promo code u mean, since u already have an account u can only get it for grindabit and egenesis soldiers. bittoclick and globe soldiers code needs to be put when creating account, so worthless for you now

Interesting. I also wasn't aware of the claiming differences. But what's this about waters? I had someone give me some a long time ago but still don't get where they came from.
2375  Economy / Gambling / Re: [AUCTION] MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: November 15, 2015, 05:07:28 PM
I've decided to put MoneyPot.com up for auction, full details are here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1249919.0

Note to players/casinos: Any change of ownership, or event that would have any impact or risks will be clearly announced significantly in advance.

Users balances, logs, ip addresses, deposit and withdrawal history will **NOT** be included in this sale

I'm sad to see you let go of MoneyPot, it's a great service and I'm sure you could bring it to great new heights if you keep hold of it.

And just as ShitDice, the newest MoneyPot app, started taking off too. Wink

I'd love to hear who puts in bids, so I dislike it being silent. I thought about putting in my own offer but I wouldn't be the right person to ensure it's safe/secure, sadly. Not to mention legality concerns.

We are very confident the new owner(s) chosen would be the right person(s) for the job. Ryan is very meticulous in how things are handled and this we feel will be handled no differently. This is of course our opinion based on months of working with him to promote the growth of MP and BB.

I'm more curious about the bidders because I might be willing to partner with someone/another entity, Smiley.

Do you have anyway to have a promo key and also get free waters?
I'm always lost in rice ponds and i'm stuck on this task...
Guys can i make another account and start new again?

There are no rules against multiple accounts. Multiple players have alts.
2377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INVEST BITCOIN!!! on: November 15, 2015, 03:16:56 PM
you can invest your bitcoin in altcoins, buy them when they are low and then after a while sell when they are high and enjoy the profit.
If that's the idea of investment then why not just keep the bitcoins, wait for the prices to rise and once it reaches the peak then sale the bitcoins.Ideology is still the same.Don't really have a clue why buy altcoins to do the same.

Altcoins change price in bigger range, so there is a chance of bigger profit.

There's also greater risk because you're then adding another failure point. BTC itself is risky enough as it is.
2378  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Scryptsy.com Your Bitcoin Works Better! Fixed Cloud Mining Contracts! on: November 15, 2015, 03:16:09 PM
This ponzi scam is gone baby. They could have easily kept on paying us, even after the site got blackout. Mining is totally different from a website. However, they left the building all at once, and will never be seen again. Catch 'em and hang them by the balls.

The sad part is that despite this happening to pretty much every "cloud mining" site out there, people still haven't learned. This has been going on for YEARS. They could outright tell people it's a scam and people would still "invest" money in them.
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: November 15, 2015, 02:43:15 PM
For me the best way is getting a nice long bad streak with betting just 1 sat. After a long streak just start bet higher. Works mostly for me.

I hope this is a joke. It doesn't matter if you won or lost 50 million times in a row, because the next roll is independent of all the previous ones. It has zero impact.
2380  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Secure & Trusted|Weekly Rake+VIP|DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING on: November 15, 2015, 01:28:39 PM
Bjorn what does sale of moneypot mean for Betterbets is changes or will remain same? I invest in moneypot as it is only way to invest in Betterbets so I invest in your casino in this fashion. Do you plan to sell? PM me if this info not public I can evaluation investment.

I'd like to know how this all affects BB as well. Changing ownership can be a huge deal, both BB and elsewhere.

Only betterbets and some other sites at the featured app tab. The other is just clone of untitled dice so they should not be affected too much because of this change of ownership

But they have to trust the new management. Ryan has proven himself. Getting someone else with the same track record won't be easy.

Pretty much this. Ryan has proven himself to be fair and honest over the course of a long time. It will be hard for the new owner to follow his footsteps and it will also be hard for the investors and players to trust the new owner(unless it is someone who is already known)
The good thing is the notification time is pretty long and allows the players, investors and app owners to think about different options.
I really hope that nothing changes with BB as i enjoy playing there from time to time.

I'm sort of hoping someone like Dooglus comes along to take it (though I doubt it since he doesn't really deal with BTC gambling anymore). Or maybe CBTC.
