3122  Other / Off-topic / Re: What age to teach kids about crypto? on: January 24, 2018, 02:31:00 PM
Hi everyone,

When is a good age to teach kids about crypto?  Any suggestions on how to go about it?  thanks Smiley

First off, I am actually confused why some are feeling the need to trouble kids, who should only focused with their studies to be taught about these things about the cryptocurrency market. However, to answer the questions, the best time, for me, would be during middle or high school. At least, they already have the idea of how the economy works or how the country earns its money; thus, if they would be taught not the concept directly, but how it can affect the them positively, then they would actually have the interest to learn about it. Kids these days are not focused with this kind of stuff that the chances of you getting their attention or keeping it, for that matter, would be so difficult. That's also a challenge you need to overcome.
3123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 altcoins to invest on: January 24, 2018, 02:15:23 PM
i want to split my savings into 5 and invest in 5 altcoins for long term. any recommandation?
All of the major crypto. that gives you the more guarantee if you are wanna liquidity your amount anytime, But you can try to put some of your amounts into the middle altcoin too. But I suggest you not to put a lot of your amount.
ethereum, ada, and another major coins look good in my opinion. And you must try to understand about the fact a lot of daily trade volume gives you a possibility to liquidity your amount easily.

That is the description that should be fitting to say that one altcoin is one of the good ones across the market. To give it a name, I think that Eth, Waves, LTC, Ripple and Stellar would be those altcoins that fits the bill. They have their strengths, and they have shown great endurance and reliability to actually survive in the always changing cryptocurrecny market. I think that as more and more people would support these coins, it would lead to better usage rate for them, that would later on lead to a better potential and value.
3124  Economy / Economics / Re: is it a bubble? on: January 24, 2018, 02:00:10 PM
many people say that bitcoin bubble, honestly I still do not understand what is meant by the term bubble earlier?

until now I am still curious

When they say "bubble", they are referring to bitcoin as something that won't last long. It may be good and fly for a short time, but eventually, it would pop or burst, which equivalent to it losing value. I think many are claiming or believing that due to the aspect that cryptocurrencies are so volatile; it may go up and down at any time, and thus the value of many coins may change without notice or warning, which could be affected of a thousand or a million reasons governing the market. I think since it has been present for a decade, it should be considered as a bubble anymore because so many things have already happened to it, and evidently, it still survives.
3125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: January 24, 2018, 01:45:50 PM
I think that it is tough with respect to the surge of XRP.
The reason is that coins using block chain technology originally are not compatible with banks. I think that there are cases where individuals do not use remittances through banks.
Another thing is good performance in the future ... there are possibilities that a remittance charge is free or a coin with a faster remittance speed comes out.

I agree. I think that Ripple doesn't hold that much power and command support well enough that it can rise to that amount in the short period. Many things can happen in two years, but seeing how it is increasing, it may reach more than the thousands mark, but surely, not reach 10k mark. That's just too much, I think. I mean, if I use bitcoin as an example, the time it took for bitcoin to reach that same value is about more or less ten years. Therefore, even if the cryptomarket is more famous now, it would take longer than just two years for that to happen.
3126  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: January 24, 2018, 01:30:39 PM
I respect your point of view when it comes to bitcoin. It wasn't entirely useless if a lot of people are benefiting from it. A lot of people get rich because of bitcoin and I think it is quite rude to say it was useless.

I agree. I think you are also entitled for your own opinion. However, what I am surprised more so that the detailed list you gave is the fact that you have reached that high of a rank in this forum, which are filled with people who support bitcoin, and cryptocurrencies in general. I think that some of the things listed down on why bitcoin is useless are not really supportive enough to say that it is. It's technology is something new; it has never been seen before; and it gives a different mechanism to trade, transact, pay and deal with people in the market. I think that it may contribute a lot of good things in the trade and industry market in the long run, which would make the market even better. And for those reasons, I think it is useful.
3127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Buy? on: January 24, 2018, 01:15:23 PM
When values are down, that is the perfcet time to buy since you get to purchase the coins at an affordable price. However, before you purchase any coin, be sure that you have an idea about the coin, its technology, and its improvement since their ico ended. Low price is truly inviting but aleays be cautious on the coins you are buying.

That's right. It's a commonly used and followed market concept that when assets are down, it is the best time to buy, to be used in the future for profit. To make it short, "buy low, sell high". I think that's the best plan, and now, since the market is beginning to increase and regain its strength by the day, thus, it's a good time to buy while many coins are still down in value. The capital you would have to use and put out would get  your more coins to increase your portfolio. In doing so, that gives you more options to trade for, and thus, more profit to probably earn.
3128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: stupid millionaire or risk to be Billionaire ? on: January 24, 2018, 01:00:02 PM
I would hold them and I will. I don't have that many bitcoins but I think the price goes up so I'm making lot of profit with that I have. I would totally risk to be a billionare

That's true. I mean most people who struck gold in any market or venture has always had that "leap of faith" moment where the risk, although it is calculated, still has lots of room to go the other way and backfire. However, that's how businesses are; there is always a risk connected with it and those who has been successful are the risk takers that tried on a new idea or took the plunge and worked. Thus, in this case, I would try to play my cards right. I would take the risk of being a billionaire, but not be so aggressive that the line that separates risk and stupidity blurs.
3129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leave full time office job to trade crypto? on: January 24, 2018, 12:45:17 PM
I just quit my office job to have full time in crypto world. I split my time of day to work manything: doing bounty campains, researching good crypto to invest, trading 3 - 4 times per week (not day trading) and may be next time i'll  learn about mining.
Anyone who has been off work like me can share your experiences?

That would be too risky mate. I mean, the cryptocurrency market, and mostly all venture related to it are risky and volatile in itself. Why would you want to added more uncalculated risk by not having a steady income that could only be provided by a job. I think that even if you can actually earn good money from trading, you could also lose some from time to time. Also, some deals may take months or weeks at a time, or longer, but the needs of a person or a family would always be a constant struggle to answer. Thus, it would still be safer to have a fall back and that is a steady paying job.
3130  Other / Archival / Re: Are you worried? on: January 24, 2018, 12:15:15 PM
The volatility and drawdowns of bitcoin far exceed the average values of the stock markets. Can you survive the fall by 50-90%?
This is just one of the questions that you must ask in advance for a successful investment.
I would recommend spending less time predicting how much bitcoin will grow but more about how much such an investment suits your investment goals and objectives.

That's true. That feature of the cryptocurrency market is what affects these changes and market movements. Therefore, as much as others don't want this to happen, there is always this chance or situation to surface at times, therefore, instead of seeing it as the end of the cryptocurrency market, why not use it to one's advantage and actually use it to make it work for you like other people who see it as a perfect opportunity to stock up some coins and extend their portfolios. It's a good time to buy low and to see how the market unfolds for future profit.
3131  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: January 24, 2018, 12:00:36 PM
If it's something made by the government or by banks then you should definitly know that it won't be private and they will have control of everything just like the banks right , nothing much will change .
and for what comes to the Paper money I don't think it will dissapaear , maybe on some countries yes but worldwide ?definitly not because some countries don't even use Credit cards for their transactions so ... yep

I agree. The future of paper money is still intact as ever. Even if more and more people are inclining into having a moneyless transactions and society, it is still a safer, more reliable and more accepted way of transacting, paying services and good, and investing. As a currency, it still has the upper hand since it is backed by gold reserves of whichever country it originates from. Therefore, many people are still more inclined to keeping it as an asset. Like I have said before, I think instead of fiat vanishing due to the cryptocurrency, I think that it is more possible to have a market interplay or maybe competition between the two.
3132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Waves? on: January 24, 2018, 11:44:46 AM
I have 3 ETH and i want to buy some Waves and hold it for long time. Which will be the best option? Buying Waves or Hold ETH!

I would say holding your Ethereum is the better choice. Eth has been bringing forth a lot of buzz in the market, good buzz that could that could actually equal to an increase of value and a means to gain more attention from people. Waves is also one of the better altcoins, but if I would compare the two, I would side with Eth because it has shown how reliable and strong it is because it was able to keep its footing even during the time when most altcoins are dying out.
3133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2018, 10:46:41 AM
Bitcoin has been impressive in a lot of ways since it's beginning but the one thing that blew me out the most was the ideology. A foolproof peer to peer online transaction system based on blockchain technology was just a beautiful set of works executed and implemented by Satoshi and no wonder it has already made its mark in every field it is being used in.

I agree. I think it has risen into a state that it has the power to change the market landscape like it has never been done before. Also, what impressed me the most about it is how it has risen in such a quick way that it can be said that it commanded so much attention and focus from people that contributed to its unmatched manner of rise. Also, I am very hopeful that the blockchain technology would be a new way for people to invest that is open for all people who wants to do it and not just for those who have large capital on their hands.
3134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin on: January 19, 2018, 08:00:27 PM
It's still not too late to invest in BTC, even if the market price is really high at the moment. You could still spare a good amount of investment in buying them and HOLD, which I'm also currently doing. Besides, we are nearing the last month of 2017 (December), and if you are not aware, it is forecast-ed that the market price will reach $10,000 or even more. Heck, it is already $9.8k as of this typing.  Shocked You can also experiment investing with Altcoins, which I believe will survive, once after the BTC price surge is over and remain constant.

BTC still has good value in it to invest ot buy. In fact, it is not the best time to buy and hold because the value has been down around 40% since last month. Also, to choose in where to invest, you should try to categorize the kind, is it short term or long term you want. You should also plan the profit margin you want to get. BTC is more of a long term venture, while most altcoins are for short term.
3135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency market is crashing on: January 19, 2018, 07:45:10 PM
You have to get used to it if you are new to this market

Those swings are quite normal. We went from 10k to 19k with almost no correction

Short term, nobody knows. Long term, I'd say it's a great time to buy

I agree. This happens quite often in the cryptocurrency market; one second everything is going up, and the next, everything is down. The market, especially in this market, every thing is just so unpredictable, amd often times, it is too hard to guage what would happen next. If you remember last October, many are saying the same, and then by next month, bitcoin surged and it almost tripled its value. So, just keep at it mate.
3136  Economy / Economics / Re: Tax regulation on: January 19, 2018, 03:01:21 PM
Bitcoin is decentralized digital cryptocurrency,so how they can oblidge people or bitcoiners to pay tax unless people convert their bitcoin into cash or goods or they can put tax in bitcoin if it is legal in some countries. I know tax are impelemented for real property, owned cash and other tangeable properties or asset.

Well that might be true, the transaction itself won't be the one to be imposed taxes on. I think, most governments are already eyeing or gunning for a way to regulate bitcoin through the imposition of taxes; governments are always aware of up-and-coming market trends, and they are always focused on making those rising market opportunities working for their advantage. I think that if they can't tax the processes that people do with their cryptocurrencies, then they would try to impose on other ways like transactions and exchanges. It's how the government works, I guess. So, that's to be expected.
3137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic on: January 19, 2018, 02:47:30 PM
What do you think of this alt coin?

Any hopes of it rising any time soon?
ETC was the first and original coin in ethereum's blockchain,it is misleading that ethereum classic was a forked coin of ethereum,on the past something happened with the people using ethereum's chain, some people doesnt want to have a forked coin which resulted into splits of the original coin, the ones who doesnt want to have forked coins gets ethereum classic, and the other people received ethereum,

ETC has a lot of good news and events this year,so it is better to have a bunch of this coin if you asked me,
you can research the dates of these events in google.

I agree. Eth being the pioneer coin in that chain, it would be hard to compete against it. Also, Eth has been known by people in a good light, and I think, the developers are just trying to ride that wave of consistency as a purpose on why they created Ethereum Classic; however, as much as they wanted people to support it, it didn't gain much buzz in the market. I think, I can compare that to what happened with NEO, it is an altcoin based in China that has the same technology as that of Ethereum, it didn't go so well too because people think of it is a cheap copy of Ethereum similar to how they view Eth Classic.
3138  Economy / Economics / Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone on: January 19, 2018, 02:17:54 PM
If you be given a gift of 1BTC by someone and for you this amount is already something you did not expect. Will you sell your bitcoin right away and convert it into cash or just keep it for a better price to come or invest it or what?

I would hold it. The way I see it is that regardless of how much bitcoin you have, you don't actually own money that you can use until:

1) you convert the bitcoin to USD or whatever usable currency there is in your country
or
2) Bitcoin becomes so widely accepted that it can be used anywhere.

So, when you're given a gift, you don't have anything to lose -- you're not in the negative by buying that bitcoin or by losing it. You're technically only in the positive. For that reason, and because I feel that bitcoin has time to blossom even more, I would hold. I would also make sure to be cautious about drops though.

I agree. I assume I have been given a bitcoin by someone who knows how to use it, therefore, I think the purpose of giving it to me, more than the money, is the idea that I can use it to invest or trade for. Therefore, knowing where bitcoin is at right now, I would hold it as well like most of the replies state in the thread. By doing so, I am giving myself a chance to expand the amount I am given, if not, I would trade a part of it for some promising altcoins as an investment.
3139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: January 19, 2018, 02:04:29 PM
Yes I am buying these days all the bitcoin I can, and I also try to earn some bitcoin. In my opinion the bitcoin price is going to increase in the coming months. It is a good investment for all, a good asset to have, with many other.

I think it's a good move, and also, I foresee that the trend would continue a few more weeks or maybe about a month or two; I am not saying that it's good bitcoin is falling in value, but to make something good out of the bad, I think it's the best time to buy and hold to be sold when the time is right. Bitcoin has stretches like this where it fluctuates, or even plummets in value, and instead of thinking negatively about it, why not strategize and may it work for your advantage.
3140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: January 19, 2018, 01:50:04 PM
Buy bitcoin, that's the safest and most secured coin you can invest right now. Make it a habit also to read and research about the coins you want to invest in, of course people would want to ask opinion on others but at the end of the day it is still you who decides which coin to invest in, right?

I agree, with some additional. I think bitcoin is still the best coin to invest in, or at least, hold for the time being. Even if it had fallen in value for about 40% in the past few weeks, I would say that it is still in a good spot because it still holds a hefty 11.8k dollar value, which is still a good price point to invest in as it will catch traction and gain more value in the future. I also would like to point out investing in some altcoins short-term like with LTC, Ripple and Stellar; they are really promising with a lot of potential for increase in the next coming months.
