Have you touched your wallet lately?

Huh

Well if it's an old wallet with no activity, I think these "one-time" coins should be removed.
Agreed, the main purpose of this is to clean up the blockchain and reduce its size.

Interested in this too

I'm OK if you prefer giving the second bounty to another person Grin

What is the retarget time?

Not sure yet.  Any suggestions?   Something that would play well with a forum-thread based blockchain.

and:  your block 3 is valid!  You earned 250 Bitcoin-Testnet3 coins, what address would you like them sent to?
I don't know, you must first choose the number of blocks per day.

miT2BpAVdAibfD6mJMS6nuArhP88QsBjsP thanks!

By the way, you missed my edit: you should add transaction IDs
3146  Other / Off-topic / Re: Preferred Browser? on: June 30, 2013, 10:15:08 PM
Lynx is normally preferred because people like to look pro. It's no more practical than any other. The speed isn't much different, it's slightly faster which is almost unnoticeable. I have talked about this topic many times & almost always the people who prefer this is because of the ads not showing etc. Yet, there are other ways to block it. This is just like Linux. People like to use the terminal to look pro, even though they could do it in a graphical interface which would take a lot less time. It's a fact which has been studied that people like to be seen as a pro, which they will show off it they can do it. If they know others don't like something because it's to difficult then they will use it just to show off. Even though it's not practical. Don't get me wrong I have used Lynx and many other text based browsers...back when computers where very limited.

I'm curious why you like Lynx. I hate the interface, is it because it looks complicated and you know that many will not like it? It's a disgusting interface. Obviously this is my opinion and I know people do generally like it. But, for all the people I have asked they pretty much make crap up and can't really explain why it's better.

You should add an upper limit for the nonce and transaction IDs
3149  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the BEST open forum software available today? on: June 30, 2013, 09:43:55 PM
Any well written modern software should include smartphone support as a native option.  If it does not it soon will or it will go the way of the dodo bird.

No social media support?  Why not?  I think plugging into the 1 billion members in Facebook could be beneficial.

No tracking like Google Analytics or shit like this at all  Why not?  Why should the forum not generate ad dollars or have the option to?

> there should be priorities

Certainly but until we exhaust the discussion of what the problems are we cannot even consider trying to prioritize the solution.
Ad money can be generated exactly like here: ads under the first post.
I'm very uncomfortable with my privacy being raped once again, moreover on a bitcoin forum. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

If people want to share through FB/Twitter/G+ they can still post the URL.

Not really innovative, we already have dozens of scamcoins

but no real scamcoin supporting scams
I focused on the protocol but indeed, it's the bounties that make it innovative!
I never scammed yet, but maybe this coin of the future will make me consider it!
3153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: which coins should I accept for fundraising on: June 30, 2013, 07:49:39 PM
Even Bitcoin is risky, don't even try using others.

Half a dozen people will likely tell you otherwise just below this post. Do what you want, but you've been warned.

Where do you want us to post new suggestions? Here or in the poll?

By the way:
Forbid account selling
Suggestion box where everybody can propose, but only established users can vote

3156  Other / Meta / Hannibal: account hacked? on: June 30, 2013, 07:35:42 PM
This guy didn't post between December 2011 and two months ago, when he started to post dumb replies (giveaways and 'hi, welcome' in the newbie forum)
He was French 2 years ago so I just sent him a French PM to see if he can reply
If not, I think the account may be compromised and that the guy who stole it will try to gain some trust because of the old registration date

What I proposed in the other thread

Be strict about '+1's
Make a popularity count (using votes from very-established users only)
Display posts count+registration date next to avatar
Posting limits: no more than 1 post per hour (or 2, or 0.5, or whatever you think would fit) during the first week after registration. Then 2p/h during the second, etc.
IMO mobile phone support is not a top priority
Be clear about the acceptance of altcoins: Full no/Yes to all/Yes to some(which ones?)
NO social media support!
NO tracking like Google Analytics or shit like this at all
Mods paid by users through public donation addresses
No ads in signatures allowed. Or if people find this too anti-freedom.of.speech, no colours/glow/big font.
3159  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seeking a team to develop Bitcointalk 2.0 forums (apply within) on: June 30, 2013, 06:30:42 PM
I just look at the link you posted, it is only about the software, I don't get why I'd post my suggestions there
You don't like the idea to create a new forum dedicated to all the features?

I do not like the idea of rushing this conversation off to a room where there is nobody to contribute ideas.  Bitcointalk is the largest community of bitcoin users anywhere in the world and while there are indeed a number of major issues that need to be addressed I think it is way to soon to create any kind of new forum.  It is even possible that we could generate a list of meaningful issues and have the admin of this forum try to deal with them.  I am not a fan of jumping ship.

I am a fan of improved communication and reduced scamming.  There is no reason to leave this forum at this time.  I will note that you are not alone in your desire to get me off this forum, many people who posted in the poll would like me to leave.

>If you don't ban Viceroy I'll just scream (22%+)  Shocked
Don't get me wrong, I proposed this because I think that discussing ideas is much more easy when there's a whole thread for each
I fine with staying here too
