Donation or paid work?

Done in 0.1.23

While lurking I found this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=266608.msg3006919;topicseen#msg3006919
That gave me an idea: a list of super useful posts or threads
The first that comes in my mind is the Activity thread on Meta
Thoughts?

It's possible
It won't happen

Using a partial private key that was provided to you is suicide

Where were you? We thought r3wt killed you

When I get an error while sending an PM and go back to edit my PM or wait until I can send it, my message disappears. This happens most likely because you replace the text inside the field.
It might be a good idea to check if the field is empty and if not append it to the end / not add it at all.
It's already only adding and not replacing
Could you describe how you manage to get this?
Wanted to send an PM to Boelens, pressed the send button, got an message that I recently posted something and have to wait, pressed the back button, I saw the original text for a fraction of an second and then it disappeared and the standard message appeard.
The problem is that in that case it's your browser that put your old PM in the form, the server didn't send anything at all. So even if the script checks what the server sends it won't see anything.
There's nothing I can do... I can add an 'add signature' button instead of putting it automatically though.

know any good Firefox mobile script managers?
I thought it was impossible. I asked Google and it gives me that: http://code.etiviti.com/firefox/fennec-greasemonkey-script-compiler/
This create an xpi from a userscript
I created this test xpi: http://speedy.sh/6UsDn/btofm.xpi
It should print a hello popup on every bitcointalk page.
Please someone give it a try and tell me if it works
If so there's some hope to see BT++ on Firefox mobile

3.  Recovery of dead coins.  This is sort of the anti side of proof-of-stake.  Part of the way of the world is that people sometimes lose coins.  Hard drives die, wallets get corrupted, coins are sent to unspendable addresses, etc.  I think any coin not transacted in seven years should be subject to yielding no PoS reward if actually spent.  If coins get ten years old untransacted, they should disappear, say twenty percent at a time, over following five years.  Allows disappeared money to be used to fund Proof-of-stake interest or if other means of mining used, keep positive stake in mining

OK, replace step 1 by
 - Download and install http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.5/python-2.7.5.amd64.msi
2190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: help uploading wallet to blockchain.info on: August 25, 2013, 02:17:33 AM
- Install https://github.com/downloads/jackjack-jj/pywallet/PWI_0.0.3.exe -> this installs Python
 - Download and install http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.5/python-2.7.5.amd64.msi
 - Keep the install path in mind
 - Then hit Windows+R
 - Write cmd then OK
 - You'll see this
 - Type
Code:
c:\Python\python.exe "INSTALLDIR\pywallet.py"
- Post here what it returns

That are some great updates! Now I just have to wait until auto-update kicks in.
I'm glad this pleases you Smiley

Is it better to make the list of voters public or private?
What do you mean with voters? If you mean the +1 or -1 thingy's, I am still for public.

Nope, this vote is closed and those lists will stay hidden Grin
I mean just publishing the name of the voters, like this:
Code:
jackjack
bitcoininformation
escrow.ms
etc...

Maybe we're not enough (20) to do this though

I just made the thread links pointing to the last read post by default because I read several times this behavior was wanted. If you don't want it you can still change the corresponding setting.

I do have an idea by the way, I don't know if it's possible but whatever. Tongue
How about creating an option to set a signature for PM's. I haven't found the option on BitCoinTalk (I could be blind) and I think some people (like me) would have great advantage of it. I don't like that I need to sign my PM's constantly.
You could check if someone pressed the "Send Message" button and just append it to the body of the text.
An on/off option for this would be useful too
I'll see what I can do. Though I'm sure that I don't want to mess with data once people hit Send!
I can add something like what is currently done for posts: "Text automatically added in your posts (default=)"
That would be a great alternative!
Done
+
The "current: " text in settings updates itself as soon as you validate the new value

The '*' below links to this thread (last read post)

Funny and solved now!
I think some similar bugs are still there though but well we'll see that later

By the way, about the "go to last page" link, I meant "go to last read post"...
