We are proud to announce the latest updated to GoldCoin. The development team and staff have been working around the clock to make this the very best version to date. We have addressed a number of issues related to the previous client. The syncing issues and Litecoin upgrade alert have been fixed. In addition, there have been improvements made in the areas of coin generation, block reward, and difficulty retarget time. For a more in depth look at the changes and an explanation regarding those changes, please take a look at the official patch documentation here: http://www.gldcoin.com/documents/GoldCoin_Patch_v1.2.pdfThere will be a hard-fork at block 45000 which is currently estimated to occur on August 1, 2013. All current users should update their clients at least 24 hours prior to the fork. It is recommended that you backup your current wallet before performing this upgrade. To update your client please visit the official website and select the version of the client that matches your operating system: http://www.gldcoin.comJoin the discussion at GLDTalk.org: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=221.0 From the PDF: Before fork: 1 block = 2.5 minutes = 500 GLD After fork: 1 block = 2 minutes = 45 GLD This means Before (early adopters): money supply = 200 GLD/minute After (new adopters): money supply = 22.5 GLD/minute

Let's take a private key: 000...0001 The corresponding point on secp256k1 is : X = 79BE667EF9DCBBAC55A06295CE870B07029BFCDB2DCE28D959F2815B16F81798 Y = 483ADA7726A3C4655DA4FBFC0E1108A8FD17B448A68554199C47D08FFB10D4B8
The corresponding public keys are the two ways of serializing the point above: Compressed: 0279BE667EF9DCBBAC55A06295CE870B07029BFCDB2DCE28D959F2815B16F81798 Uncompressed: 0479BE667EF9DCBBAC55A06295CE870B07029BFCDB2DCE28D959F2815B16F81798483ADA7726A3C 4655DA4FBFC0E1108A8FD17B448A68554199C47D08FFB10D4B8
As you should know, address=hash160(public key) So this gives two addresses: Compressed: 1BgGZ9tcN4rm9KBzDn7KprQz87SZ26SAMH Uncompressed: 1EHNa6Q4Jz2uvNExL497mE43ikXhwF6kZm

Possible to mine only bonus blocks? Why would anybody mine the blocks in between?
I proposed to take into account the current block hash but no support so far

I see only one person voted they have signatures turned off, but 22 people voted they ignore signatures. Why do you have signatures enabled if you just ignore them anyway?
22 people voted they ignore links in signatures

I do not know the address from which I sent you the money (when I click in Bitcoin-Qt ''Transactions'' then ''Transaction details'' it doesn't tell me which of my public addresses was used for making the payment in your favour) so I cannot enter my public address by myself (am I correct or not?)
This is a good question, and I don't know the answer -- little help from someone with more expertise? 2. Are you the only person who can see my message?
The answer to this question depends on how the message is transmitted, but it should be assumed that anybody can/will see the message, which is why it is recommended that the content of the message contain the specific details of the context of the message, e.g. "This message sent on this date to so-and-so is for this purpose..." This will prevent the message from being hijacked for other purposes. 1. Blockexplorer? 2. A signature is only a number that proves that a certain message was approved by a certain address This number doesn't contain the message, you'll have to transmit it yourself

Hmm... well thanks for the inclusion and if I win then perhaps the rock could be donated to a worthy cause (such as to Bankers who think you must have rocks in your head to prefer Bitcoin to fiat). Very kind of you I can even add some rocks if you want to reward more than one banker What about the best troll award ? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=post;board=9.0

Coins are not sent to addresses but to portions of scripts... Seriously, there's a wiki other there. As a developper aren't you supposed to learn about something before coding about it?

If you want to send a message *privately* then you need to use PGP/GPG - Bitcoin signing is just a signature (it does not encrypt data but simply proves ownership of an address).

This thread is like this guy's diary. It's out of control.
It's spelled 'diarrhea' That, and he'll reply, reply, reply, fill up almost an entire page with his own replies...sometimes it's just like he's talking to himself.

and PM me your BTC addy, I'll just never see it on here so I can send you that .1BTC for mocking me. I hope you weren't joking, I hope it was you. I'm trusting you. It is your style so I buy it. I just some other guy do the titanic one that's why I thought maybe it was some other guy but maybe he was just copying your idea, you know, like open source.
Are you really tipping me for mocking you? If so 19QkqAza7BHFTuoz9N8UQkryP4E9jHo4N3
