321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bye Bye Bitcoin on: July 29, 2021, 11:47:58 PM
Totally agree! The other members are right in saying that it is an opinion article by a person who does not know about bitcoin, the first sentences of the article confirm it.
I see it that he is an anti-Bitcoin and cryptocurrency writer that, like him, there are many that what they do is misinform.

Fortunately, we stick together to help people learn about bitcoin.
It is not easy but we are in the correct order that the technology is adopted in the largest companies. I'd like to see this guy's face when Amazon announces that it will receive bitcoin payments for whatever item its users want.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 29, 2021, 11:11:14 PM
After another day of games, we have China with the most medals achieved, followed by Japan and then the United States.

Today was also the day that Portugal got a bronze medal.  Roll Eyes

My country Venezuela has also achieved a medal in these Olympics. I also feel in solidarity with your country Portugal. Our athlete Julio Mayora won the silver medal in the men's weightlifting discipline 73 kilograms.

In a few hours a favorite athlete from our country who could win the gold medal or any other will compete, Yulimar Rojas in the discipline of Women's triple jump.
She participates in group A with competitors from the US, Jamaica and Kazakhstan.
Those who make it to the Olympics are very high-performance athletes.
Good luck to you all! 🤞

Anyone following boxing?

https://twitter.com/ben_damon/status/1419879557524381696

One boxer, Morocco’s Youness Baalla tries a Mike Tyson move on New Zealand’s David Nyika and bite his ear. Not sure what Youness is thinking, but I'm sure he is going viral now.  Grin

Not a very intelligent thing to do, when the whole world is suffering from the pandemic. What was he trying to do here? Was he looking for some cheap publicity? Anyway, now he (Youness Baalla) can practice his biting skills at home, because in all probability he will not be allowed in to the boxing ring again. Or maybe he can try his luck in MMA. These sort of guys are in good demand in that sport. BTW, I head that Baalla is now playing the race card. He is claiming that he is being punished for being black.

Is he actually trying to justify himself that way when we can clearly see that he is trying to bite the other fighter on his ear? Some people really think that we must be really dumb to think we are going to buy that, he deserved to be disqualified and I think an exemplary punishment should be given to him, I understand that the boxing world was lenient with Tyson since he was Tyson but I really think he deserves a lifetime ban from the Olympics and from all the boxing associations as well.

I think that boxer Youness Baalla in his desperation because he was losing felt the desire to bite David Nyika's ear of course it is an unsportsmanlike action.
In an interview David Nyika said that it was unfortunately the referee did not see what was happening.
When I saw the image I immediately remembered when Tyson bit part of Evander Holyfield's ear, Tyson was disqualified and his boxing license revoked for a few months so I remember that anecdote.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Puts Down Bitcoin Use Rumor on: July 29, 2021, 10:00:48 PM
Exactly! We don't need anyone to manipulate the market to make the price of bitcoin skyrocket.
But as I also believe that Amazon is rushing to offer its users to pay in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It's pretty obvious that as a high-innovation company to fall behind without the bitcoin revolution would be a serious mistake.

It has officially posted the job position as Digital Currency and Blockchain Product Lead.

Quote
The Payments Acceptance & Experience team is seeking an experienced product leader to develop Amazon’s Digital Currency and Blockchain strategy and product roadmap. You will leverage your domain expertise in Blockchain, Distributed Ledger, Central Bank Digital Currencies and Cryptocurrency to develop the case for the capabilities which should be developed, drive overall vision and product strategy, and gain leadership buy-in and investment for new capabilities. You will work closely with teams across Amazon including AWS to develop the roadmap including the customer experience, technical strategy and capabilities as well as the launch strategy.

325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not invested then do it now... on: July 29, 2021, 09:43:16 PM
Amazon's support for incorporating bitcoin as another means of payment is beneficial to both the giant company and bitcoin users.
IMO means credibility and knowledge for those who have not yet invested feel confident in investing.
Because we know that the index of the world population that owns bitcoin is low. As more people join, we will be showing that investing in bitcoin is synonymous with supporting the economy.
Thus it will gain in popularity, for example it could be the case of more companies offering bitcoin payments to their employees.
We are also waiting on how the country of El Salvador will assume the Bitcoin Law, which will be a great reference worldwide.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public companies That own Bitcoin on: July 29, 2021, 07:07:03 PM
If these companies one day sell their bitcoin, I don't think it will be too soon. They intend to save their patrimony from the devaluation of the US dollar and inflation.
On the other hand, this analysis has a positive effect by informing on social networks how much bitcoin the public companies have.

The result is to promote bitcoin as a change in which we are all involved when buying bitcoin because we inspire trust and encourage people to invest as well.
The spread about bitcoin must be everywhere. For example, in this tweet from Binance in Spanish it says:

As always the comments were not long in coming, I recommended bitcointalk.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos vs Adam Back on: July 29, 2021, 06:17:27 PM
I admire both advocates of bitcoin.
Andreas Antonopoulos is a very respected leader in the crypto space and his work has been very valuable in educating people. He is a reference worldwide. By hiding Adam Back's tweet he did so so as not to confuse his audience.

Adam Back is highly respected as well. Some have pointed out that he could be Satoshi but we all know that he is not. Taking a look at his profile on Twitter, I found what OP says. Apparently Adam is testing the Liquid network.
What is the Liquid network about?

328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now all in BTC. All eggs in one basket! on: July 29, 2021, 05:14:50 AM
I have observed that when we create a portfolio it will always depend on the amount and time we dedicate to the investment.
All the eggs in a basket involves applying strategies.
I am moved by two reasons to invest in bitcoin for a long time. 1. Just to see it consolidate in what we have longed for forever and 2. The future of two young people in my family.
I also have other digital assets for my needs in the short, medium and even long term as well.
The better we plan our future it will all have been worth it because that is why bitcoin was created to meet our demands.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2021, 11:50:24 PM
I heard about bitcoin on Twitter when its price was $ 700, taking a look at the chart, it could have been 04-11-2016 and it wasn't until the following year that I created an account on bitcointalk and decided to learn more about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

According to what people who know about bitcoin for the first time say they decided to learn more, it is very unlikely that people will stop supporting it completely.
The more people learn about bitcoin the right way, they will surely have the satisfaction of knowing how to include it in their finances and get the best out of it.

It is never too late to invest in bitcoin if you haven't already, so do it. If the giant Amazon will include it very soon as a means of payment to bitcoin, it is because it is an accolade towards innovation where we already agree.

Amazon has to speed up the process of adding payments in cryptocurrencies because there are others who are ahead.

I have seen a tweet from "Shopping" that is a platform for crypto ecommerce. I have not checked it yet but the platform allows you to buy items on Amazon, Walmart and Ebay with 100 different cryptocurrencies.
Shopping has mentioned other benefits such as buying through Binance Pay and discounts to all holders of its $SPI token.

331  Economy / Economics / Re: What kind type of market player you are? on: July 24, 2021, 11:51:16 PM
I like being an investor and trader. I have never practiced it before thanks to bitcoin for making it possible.
I wish other people can know how to get started with bitcoin.
It is time for more people to enter our space. I am anxious to see the impact of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in my region of Latin America.
Because we will be a good point of reference for development, especially for reducing the poor and increasing employment rates.

Returning to the topic of being an investor and a trader. It is important when we support decentralized finance projects with our investments because we allow technological advancement in this sector. According to the statistics the trader activities are providing a new income to the individuals by which I can confirm this data.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: On Cuba and economy on: July 24, 2021, 11:25:41 PM
In Cuba the protests are due to a cry for freedom. They want a change of government system. It is enough to see the images of their humble houses, anyone would be tired of seeing the years go by with just a little money in their pocket to buy their food.
If we take a look at the evidence on social media of Cubans, we can be equanimous in our thinking and give reason to the country of Cuba that struggles to survive extreme poverty.
Take a look at #SOSCuba and check out the images and videos that people post demonstrating a call for help.

333  Economy / Economics / Re: EU wants to ban crypto anonymous transactions and wallets on: July 24, 2021, 10:37:20 PM
It was to be expected that we get to this point with the forthcoming bitcoin regulations.
We cannot break the laws. It is obvious that privacy is at stake. But if we are not doing something wrong we must accept the regulations.

The main objective we want is to allow us to include bitcoin and crypto transactions without hindrance.
When incorporating bitcoin into banking of course we must go through the KYC and AML process.
We have won freedom now the governments should not prohibit it because they would be violating our rights.
334  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin for everyone on: July 24, 2021, 10:14:39 PM
Bitcoin for everyone. I see it in the following way if in a poor family at least one of its member is able to learn about bitcoin he or she could support her household. We all agree that bitcoin is empowerment, we already know the unemployment rates in any of our countries, let's think for a moment of them in the displaced, homeless people.

If they had the knowledge about bitcoin how to receive satoshi or earn it doing online jobs. It would be a big difference for their lives, they could have a better future because at birth we need to go through stages and overcome them and while the central power is not able to facilitate them we can think of bitcoin.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 24, 2021, 09:42:11 PM
I also think that Paquiao could win. He has been training rigorously and his trainer Freddie Roach is convinced that the fight with Spence "It’s All About Boxing Immortality For Manny Pacquiao”.

There is also something curious that I would like to share with all of you.
Pacquiao could gain an advantage in this fight because both he and Spence are left-handed and it seems that it might be difficult to see the most effective punches.
This is what I have seen in some comments from the fans.

336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 24, 2021, 08:16:35 PM
The Premier League champion will be disputed between great teams. We are in the final stretch of rest to return to the exciting European leagues, the most competitive without a doubt the English league and it is that almost every year it has a different champion team. What makes the beautiful game fill with emotions and make football lovers fall in love.

My main candidate to win the Premier League cup is Manchester City. Despite the departure of their historic scorer El Kun Agüero, the team shows solidity and gathers a great technical direction from Guardiola.
We must not lose sight of Chelsea, they are a young and very talented squad as their manager Tuchel, the current Champions League champion, likes.
Leicester City is another team that due to its growth may be giving the fight in the classification.
The fascinating thing about the EPL is that it is a league of surprises.
337  Other / Archival / Re: El Salvadorans are not happy about accepting bitcoin as a means of payment on: July 24, 2021, 03:23:23 PM
I think that the people who protest to repeal the bitcoin Law of El Salvador is a minority.
The argument expressed by the organization that calls itself "Bloque de Resistencia y Rebeldia Popular". It is as follows:

Quote
For Protestants, the law wastes resources that could be used to alleviate poverty.
They claim that only a few businessmen in the government benefit from the law.

But we know that the Bitcoin Law of El Salvador can be effective for any country in the world. If we have already bought it individually.

I have also been able to notice on Twitter that the Protestants is an anti-Bukele group.
As is well known, however good the measure that President Bukele takes, those who are against his management will not see his achievements as positive.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 24, 2021, 01:05:29 PM
I am excited about the Olympic Games and in particular this one in 2020 because with so much sacrifice it is being carried out. I will try to share the medals that my Latin American region wins. Today our sister country of Ecuador has won the first gold medal in its representation of Richard Carapaz M in the men's cycling road category.

Quote
Ecuador's Richard Carapaz won Olympic gold in the men's cycling road race on Saturday, timing to perfection a tactical, final descent after a tough 234-kilometer course worthy of a mountain stage of the Grand Tour.

339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEO of Twitter has full control of the Bitcoin market by banning Elon Musk on: July 24, 2021, 11:55:46 AM
There are good answers like mk4 and tranthidung and other guys who have shared their reason why Jack can't ban Elon Musk from Twitter.
Elon Musk has not violated Twitter's rules.
The idea that Elon Musk is manipulating the market as a great influencer I think he was born spontaneously, he could not know the future. Traders are manipulating the market according to one of these euphoric events.

Constantly when I see a sudden change in the market I am in search of knowing in the digital media what the news is.
In my opinion, The B Word event was a good reunion with Musk and the bitcoin community and Jack as an ambassador for Peace.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Don't Want To Hear Anybody Crying When BTC Will Reach 1M Per Coin! on: July 23, 2021, 11:55:12 PM
I am teaching my brother about bitcoin and I am explaining to him in relation to the market. Bitcoin is our father, every event that occurs around it, whether it is good or bad affects its price, for which we must protect it. The best example that I was able to share with him was when I was accepted into my Signature campaign, I needed to fix my PC to continue my online work and support my family and thanks to those sats that I earned I was able to support my family.

Now I am saving them for my underage niece and nephew's university studies.
Bitcoin is here to stay as the facts show because the day anyone wants to buy bitcoin for the first time is making a good choice.
