321  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Special thread concerning bitmains coupons refunds discounts. on: December 09, 2019, 07:42:08 AM
Just had the $$ credit shown on my account page applied to an order I placed.

Placed the order on Friday,
Chose BTC as the payment method and used some coupons on the order to reduce the cost.
Emailed support about having the credit applied to the order number
Order timed out after 1 hour
Support got back to me today (Monday) and had reopened the order, applied the credit which left a remainder balance pending, which I paid in BTC

So just confirmation that the system does work, just don't worry about doing BTC order and it timing out etc.

No need to visit it, that address is a virtual office.

There are 28,573 companies registered at that address.
323  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help: Innosilicon T2TH+ 37TH Not mining on: December 06, 2019, 01:32:54 PM
To see the logs, just append /logs to the IP address of the miner in your web browser.

So for that miner it would be http://172.16.8.152/logs

Well I got a 1139 credit against my btc order for 1 s17 pro

I made a 0.05179412 btc payment to fully pay it...

So how did this actually work.

Did you place the order, then not pay it? I guess it would have time out as most BTC orders do after an hour or so.

Then once you placed the order did you email them and ask for the credit to be allocated against the order?

Even though it had expired?

Thanks, just want to clarify the process.

[edit]
So I have tried placing an order, but of course you only have 1 hour to pay it, and no response from support yet. Roll Eyes

I was surprised about this decision from them as well, but it is actually realistic if you think about it. No one can sue them since that is how BTC should be used in my opinion. Because we are paying in BTC equivalent of USD order. They should refund us same amount of USD but in current BTC equivalent.

LOL everyone is happy when it works out this way but they all shit the bed when they get less BTC in a refund because the price went up.

Forget awesome miner, what does it show on the miner interface, and what does it show on the pool?
328  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: connect to miners over outside network ... on: November 30, 2019, 04:21:50 PM
Highly suggest not to open ports to your miners to the outside world unless you want your miners to stop mining for you and mine for someone who has hacked them.

Setup a VPN and on your router and then VPN into your network and administer the miners that way.

If you don't know how to do this, then find someone who you trust who does.
329  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: US Tariff Ruling N297495 = 2.6% mandatory tariff on bitcoin mining hardware on: November 29, 2019, 02:04:52 PM
Part of the issue is theft of IP  which China is pretty famous for or at least has been accused of doing.

Whether  you build in China India or Mexico vs USA the smaller customer gets stuck one way or the other.

But if you only build in 1 country you don't have any flexibility to negotiate with the factory/government location.

If Apple had factories in China ,India, Mexico and USA  vs Factories in China  it gives them more flexibility to tell any location fuck you I will lower production here and ramp it up in other country.

It also helps lower theft of IP  since if it happens while using the China location apple can say fuck you I will reduce production next year to punish you for theft of IP.

Sounds like FUD to me. I'll leave it at that, don't want to derail the thread too much Grin
330  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: US Tariff Ruling N297495 = 2.6% mandatory tariff on bitcoin mining hardware on: November 28, 2019, 11:35:56 PM
or  usa companies leave china and use India for cheap labor.  Thus china is a big loser.  As to this happening ask guys like Tim Cook. Frankly I don't  hate the tax I rather us set up factories inside India. This would give usa two spots to build goods to send here. Not just china. Not a big fan of usa companies that only use china to build gear. Fuck them.

I thought the entire point of this was to get US companies to manufacture in the US using US labour. Of course that won't actually help much because it will just mean more products will still be more expensive because people in the US won't work for the sort of money that people in China/India/Mexico etc will work for, so the US companies will just have to charge more because their labour costs are higher, and the consumer will have to pay more.
331  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WhatsMiner M20 to be delayed 2-3 weeks (edit) may be 5-7 week delay not sure on: November 27, 2019, 03:53:29 PM
Really, leaving only BM? Why do so many forget about Canaan?
Excellent reputation all around. Availability either direct or via distributors - check. Deliveries - on time. Build quality - stellar. Prices - decent.

Unfortunately they are too expensive for the efficiency they provide. Anything with a near 2y ROI because of their price/efficiency ratio is out of the picture for many. The newer ones are better, not a lot, but they aren't available till Feb, but even with that far out of a delivery date the 1168 in Feb is better than a 1066 or 1047 now.

The reliability issues isn't really an issue for most, it used to be but not now really.

Wow, great news kano for those who have dust, although I wonder how much on avg is owed per person. Can't imagine that its much.

Anyway, regardless, kudos for sticking to you word and putting in the work for the accounting code. Sure there will still be moaners but you did what you said you would and that counts for a lot in my book.
335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint T1 16TH/S halongmining.com on: November 23, 2019, 10:26:52 AM
All the information you seek is on the previous page.

Its just an older official Innosilicon firmware, not guaranteed to work with Dragonmint, but for most it does and for some it solves some issues.

Innosilicon don't archive their firmware anywhere, I just had downloaded it at the time and made it available, nothing to do with google, thats just where I hosted the file.

I would trust teslawatt's word. I host with them and have done for years, I don't know cargober but if Teslawatt say they are legit then they probably are.

You could always email Teslawatt and ask them directly if you don't trust the accounts on here.
