I dont mind the idea of masternodes, I do think that the 500 requirement is a little low though. For masternodes, Id like to see them qualify at around 1% of the supply. They shouldn't be too easy to get your hands on, make them rare. If the entire supply is filled with everyone running masternodes, it kind of defeats the purpose.
I actually like the idea of masternodes being a higher priced. 1000FLY?? 2000FLY?? A higher requirement would cause more buy pressure. Vegas The compensation will need to be proportional. A successful network of Masternodes requirements should prefer servers in datacentres with dedicated IP addresses, not home/business single-ended internet connections. If your masternodes are popping off and on the network and changing addresses, this will cause more instability than without masternodes. The bar (on requirements) should be set high enough to attract quality applications for masternodes. In return, masternodes should attain equal or better returns than a regular PoS/PoSP node. The masternodes shall (if the code is written correctly), maintain fair and even distribution of the staking payouts, and blockchain health. Funny you should mention a data center would be best, as I own one , filled with the latest servers, and a private dedicated fiber optic network that can reach speeds past 1Gps upload and download, so that wont be a problem at all. Its looking more and more like this is the way to go. I think 1000 fly is the sweet spot for cost per masternode, unless you guys think it should be higher. Making the cost higher would bring more buy pressure, and make it more exclusive. Vegas But will also limit the number of MN's since there is only 200k FLY available - and not even all of that on the market!

WTB CHIP before ICO ends. contact me
@Godson_Mansa - I received your PM - Yes I did have a rather large bag of Chipcoin - however I decided yesterday to invest it all into Pioneershares. So unfortunately I am no longer a Chipcoin holder. Sorry I am not able to sell you any. -pokeytex

Yobit is alive again..
I am shocked that people have not taken their chip from yobit the first time they closed the wallet. With a closing deadline looming it is no one's fault but your own if you cannot get chipcoin invested for the closing of the ICO. Use this opportunity to move your chip out of the exchange and into your wallet! Or at least send them to the ICO.

Masternode is good idea get the network stable the more masternodes the better but 2000 to setup one up is way too much (maybe 350 to 400 fly) coin support still low. People with a lot coins can setup multi masternodes.
Im liking masternodes also. I think 500 fly for a masternode is good. This will cause more people to buy fly to setup masternodes. As there are hardly any fly in the wild, the price will skyrocket fast. They will be held in Masternodes and off the exchange. The flexibility is there too , if you want to stop the master node. Dash has masternode working perfect, and if this is whats decided, this is the code we will use. But again, this will require a swap, which I dont mind doing. I did a swap when fly started, and with XDE2, and not one person lost even 1 coin. When the swap closed, I had it every ones new coins back to them the same day. There would still be POSP for the rest of the coins , not in Masternode, or those that done want to participate in masternodes. Fly is just shy of 1 year old, so I feel that we need to update our core in the near future anyway, and a swap will be required. If you have not voted, PLEASE VOTE, or fly may not go in the direction you want. Just scroll to the top of the page. Vegas @vegasguy - masternode idea came after I made my vote - I would like to switch it to the masternode idea but not 2000 fly - that is too high. That is 1% of the supply and very hefty for people to invest. I would say 300 - 500 fly would be good. edit - back my vote out of "No Hodl, just drop the POSP rate to 10% or lower."

Hi Presstab, Kees left the team, and must have deleted his repo. The current version is on the OP and is V2.3 . We do not have any incremental changes only a full master, sorry.
Vegas
When did Kee's leave the team? Is he the one dumping? I thought he was our lead dev still!

Hello folks - sorry for the off topic but I think this the best spot to ask. I am in the process of acquiring my first 1070 rig. What motherboard do you suggest? I was previously using the Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 and would like to upgrade to a newer one. I will be running no more than 5 GTX 1070's and I use EVGA 1300watt PSU's. I have an AM3+ processor (black edition). I am looking for a stable board. Thank you in advance.

@vegasguy - who has enough coins to dump the market as they just did on Yobit - is this still the idiot Spiralout?

The Diamond Strawberry Guessing Contest is finished. The winner is Rumhurius who was closest with a guess of 5 – 61. The correct answer is 5 – 73. Congratulations! Congraulations to Rumhurius and thank you to Hallared for offering a way for people to get some free DMD's! I was too late to participate but I am still happy to see the winner!

In terms of fundings, the minimum for the first step is almost met.. Which is the beta testing etc.. Step two is a bit more expensive, which are the third party security checks.. That said, I've got a good amount of back-up funds myself to cover for these costs if that is needed.. but it kind of beats the share-model a bit..
I'm not worried atm.. We still have 6 days left for round one.. Also the fact of people's funds being locked up in other projects could be of influence here.. I'm expecting some action in the last few days..
Whataver happens.. The platform will be build.. I would not start a project if it was dependent on crowdfundings by itself.. We are crowdfunding to have community involvement.. Thats why there is a profit-share model so community members are basicly "co-owners" of the exchange..
That is awesome news! - Fyi - I am retweeting on twitter when ever possible. I do not want to participate in the payout since I am holding a decent amount of Chipcoin. I would like others to have the opportunity to acquire some.

Nice Reactor Payout @cryptonit A question regarding the private reactor keys. What happens if the amount on the address is larger than 1000 DMD? Will the adress stake at zero rate, the normal 25 % rate, or not stake at all? u need the address be empty beside a single transaction size exact 1000 dmd and a scrape address set so pos-income doesnt stay at same address any other setup u risc that boost is inactive and its just a normal address Is there a how to enable & configure a Scrape address somewhere ? If you go to the Receive Coins tab you can double click on the Scrape address text field and there paste the address you want to use as Scrape address a scrape address is not a global wallet setting but can be set separate for each address but in fact its same simple as give a address a label LOL - I did not know that. I ended up doing it through the console. I am sure either way works just the same right? even if set via console u should see it later visible via gui if yes everything is fine Ok - yes - then I did it right. I definitely see all scrape addresses set within the gui wallet. I did do only one at a time and then restart the wallet. Not sure if that matters to anyone with multiple staking addresses?

i am waiting for the finish of bitsynq sig campaign, then i will change. hopefully before the time of round one is up.
I know for a fact you are not the only one Like I said above, probably just bad timing with all the other campaigns out there.. Since lots of people use mobile phones, tablets etc for trading on the go.. I am currently in talk with an android developer to build an application around our platform for mobile use.. This to ensure a fast and good trading experience, instead of lacks on a mobile browser as with most exchanges.. It's not 100% certain yet, we are still talking through the details.. I will keep you updated about this.. @BanzaiBTC - What is your hopes in funding? Looking at the contributions so far it seems meager. What is the amount that you need before you will proceed? I assume people will start donating more at the end of the drive.
