321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: OS that gives users access to others OC settings on: August 05, 2021, 01:14:45 PM
Are there any mining OS that allows you to add others OC settings to your own in the OS? I've tried hiveOS but not what I expected because only the clock and memory clock works, I'm talking about advance tweak and timing for cards like AMD Vega

Take a look mmpOS it has a nice interface for the memory tweak as well as many other settings.  Maybe the more control you are looking for.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Adding an additional 1660 to my rig on: August 03, 2021, 08:26:56 PM
You can try a 6 to 8 pin adapter cable like this:

https://www.amazon.com/outstanding-Graphics-Extension-Adapter-Converter/dp/B08HLQTW1X/ref=sr_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=6+pin+pcie+to+8pin&qid=1628022381&sr=8-15

But mind how many watts you pull.  216w or less.  Which the 1660 should be no issue.

Circcash

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5290467.0

GPU minable
low difficulty
No ASIC

It may be a good option but its not listed on any exchange. Thats where the whole story stands, you need to invest your trust and efforts in a token thats not listed. Once listed it goes too high and complexity goes up.
it is....

https://www.bitsails.com/market?MarketName=BTC-CIRC

Might as well have no exchange.....

Bitsails info on CMC

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bitsails/

No info on Coingecko360

The 24hr volume is pretty much 0 for that exchange and that coin.
In fact that exchange has no real volume in ANYTHING.
Total volume for all coins appears to be around 0.45BTC with almost all of it in BTC.

Sure an hp1200w server psu with breakout board will do this no problem.

Google 1200w server psu with breakout board

325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question about solomine ETC on: July 30, 2021, 04:53:56 PM
If you look at the pools that offer solo mining you will find that 0.5~1.0ghs is no where near enough and what they are earning is far less than you would make on a pool in a week with that hash rate.

Luck is always great...but in the end it will be a loss at those hash rates.    Last year that was possible...but network was way smaller.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to power this mobo for mining on: July 30, 2021, 04:51:34 PM
If you are using a full extender not riser (extender doenst have power connector) then you will need bus power.  This is very hard on a mobo as multiple cards are not generally designed to get up to 75W each from mobo.  This is why miners use Risers which have separate power connectors.  Risers also dont pass power from mobo to riser/gpu.

Since you will need power from bus you will need to plug either a molex 4 pin or pcie6 pin into one of those two slots.  As best as i can tell from the poorly done manual they are  wired the same so either should work.  I would us the 6pin as it allows more watts than the 4 pin.

In looking at this only gpu0 will have full power from mobo...the short slots should just use standard risers meaning they get a power plug each and dont use mobo power.

I would do the same for the long slot on gpu0 and then not worry about pcie power.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.31: miner for Eth, Beam, Ergo and many more... on: July 28, 2021, 06:15:44 PM
guys third gpu shows 0, any ideas? thanks

That is GPU 0 that is showing 0.00 hash.
Probably need to watch miner output when it starts to see error message why its not hashing.

Is gpu0 a 4gb rx580?  Also is your driver anywhere near current?

Windows uses some of the memory of the first video card for some reason (linux does not suffer this).

Post up what the miner is showing when spinning up and any error message it is showing about gpu0.
Also your command line.

1) no its 8gb
2) driver is crimson beta old version (but it worked 1 week ago with no problems)
3) miner stil works with no error message
4) command line? can you explain what this means and how to post it

p.s i have updated to new driver but still the same.. and then downgraded again

thanks for your reply

Command line means the actual text that is executing the miner.

Have you tried swapping gpu2 with gpu0?  If the problem moves with the gpu then its something with gpu.  If the problem remains on the gpu0 slot then its not the gpu.  Take one step at a time trying to eliminate items.

The other advise i would recommend is to try a linux mining os that can handle both types of cards and runs off a memory stick (so you can easily switch back to windows by removing memstick).  I know mmpos can do this and beleive hiveOS can also if not there are several.  But get one and try after trying above.  Something is messed up just gotta isolate down to the culprit.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AC cooling in a farm is a bad idea on: July 27, 2021, 10:37:00 PM
I cant find a way it makes more sense to use power for AC vs using it for more mining in a farm setup.

330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pcie expansion question on: July 27, 2021, 04:42:40 PM
Hi guys, can you tell the difference between this PCI-E expansions? As you can see in the image below one has a power connection and the other doesn't, which one will work better? I've seen some youtuber like Caleb using those with no power connector

The one you have linked is a USB3.0 expansion board...thus the need for power...as usb passes power.

The 1x4 pcie splitter do not require power as they use USB cables and connectors but are NOT USB.  They are carrying only data (no power) and work in most cases.  These are taking a x1 PCIE connection and using a plex (multiplex) chip to split it to 4 x x1 connections which is fine for most mining....you cannot exceed total bandwidth of x1 for all 4 connections but as stated this is fine for MOST mining.

This is the Chipal unit you want to split 1 to 4....

331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Would you still build rigs with 4gb cards on: July 26, 2021, 05:50:51 PM
Well its over 200 days roi so i would take the no.

If they were $100 a card might be a go.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Brownie Coins on: July 25, 2021, 07:33:11 PM
Hi All

Is anyone looking to join the BrownieCoins.org community and start mining some Brownie coins ?

https://github.com/browniecoins/browniecoins

nobody asked.

You should start mining brownie, I know you thought you were expert and all when I just launched the project 8 months ago, now we have brownie pay integrated with shopify and finance smart chain

NICE BIG FUCK YOU BUD, I TOLD YOU TIME WILL PROVE THIS PROJECT IS LEGIT AND SOLID

Wow…you are as sad as your worthless coin.  There is no value here.

Hows that Pancake swap working out for you?  Stats look as sad as your explorer.

Let me know when i need to kick you again…always happy to help a bud out!

How to run a miner on a pool crazypool ?

Same as you do for any pool....there is nothing special to crazypool....other than its relatively small. (looks like total of 166 miners on 2 of their pools and the third pool Ubiq has zero).

In fact if you had bothered to look in the middle just above the settings for pool there is an auto command line generator for nbminer.

166 miners ? => i see 2176 miners ! https://eth.crazypool.org/#/miners

I was at Hiveon but since I learned that it was not transparent 3% the pool + 10% mev, I went to 2miners, I really like their pool but too many miners on it but I have found this pool 1 month ago and my profitability is much better. it is a fashionable, clear and transparent pool.

I am in the top 10 for them

for Mbminer:

Code:
nbminer -a ethash -o nicehash+tcp://eu.crazypool.org:3333 -u 0x****************.Myrig

Compart here:
https://www.miningpoolsprofits.com/

Seems crazypool.org reports different numbers on different pages…. https://crazypool.org/
versus your link.  Same site just strange how numbers are reported differently.

334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ERGO Miners Comparative on: July 22, 2021, 01:19:47 PM
don't mine coins with a 2gb DAG. you are competing against custom farms and FPGAs in china. There's a reason they like low DAG size coins. If you must mine them mine and sell right away and buy back later.
Ergo DAG size is more than 2GB in size already, now it requires more than 3gb DAG to mine Ergo coin, it's only a matter of time before 4gb GPUs start having problem mining ergo, the project is growing faster and it's a very useful coin

Really…wish i had known…..i have 26 - 1050 2gb cards mining ergo as we speak and have been for months.  Maybe you should research more before claiming incorrect things.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How effective are Copper thermal pads on: July 22, 2021, 01:18:14 PM
Copper thermal pads? Can you use one on GPU? I don't think so because you will have problem screwing the fans back, it's a pain in the ass so use high grade thermal pads instead

For the actual gpu asic chip use thermal paste.  For the memory and/or voltage rails use thermal pads.
Pads are not nearly as efficient as paste. Thin is better than thick.

Is it safe to underclock memory more than -502?

MSi AFter burner has a -502 limit, using --mclock i can underclock even more...

Worst that can happen is card hangs and system requires a reboot to unhang it (and of course remove the oc/uv that caused the card to hang).

339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Utopia p2p invites to participate in CRP mining campaign on: July 18, 2021, 07:17:42 PM
How is this mining?  What hardware does the mining?

This appears to be a bot running but nothing to do with actual mining.

Regardless of you all trying to change the definition..mining requires cpu/gpu/fpga/asics….  everything else is some sort of ponzi scheme relabeled as mining.  Mining is actual computational work performed by your hardware….this is not that.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gminer Auto-updater For Windows And linux ( Python ) on: July 18, 2021, 02:26:31 PM
maybe submit it to Gminer and see if they will approve it for official inclusion in the windows version.  Will provide you more exposure and legitimacy all at once.

My linux rigs already do this automatically no need for external script.
