321  Economy / Gambling / Re: I've Made Millions abusing Exploit in a Crypto Casino - AMA on: February 12, 2024, 08:56:07 PM
Ten years back, when Bitcoin was still finding its feet, there likely weren't many crypto casinos around.  Perhaps a handful at most.  So if someone really managed to game one of those early operators for a big payout, I'd expect there to be some kind of record.  Even a forum post or chat log recounting the tale and  it would be quite a feat to pull off.

Without further proof the claim does seem rather dubious.  But who knows, maybe this person did get lucky and slip through the cracks before the casinos wisened up.  Stranger things have happened in those early cowboy days of crypto.  Still, extraordinary claims require at least some evidence to back them up.  Otherwise, it's all just talk.

OP seems to be just playing a game here, taking everybody for a ride. He's just trying to make users here, most especially active posters of this section of the forum, visit the site. He is clearly promoting a casino in a unique way, asking what seems to be an innocent question, but answering it himself later on with an update.

But this doesn't really make your casino popular OP. It might have created a little temporary traffic for your site, but I doubt it made them create an account, made a deposit, and played in the casino.

It's possible OP could be an alt account or linked to an LTC Casino account somehow. Same as the aphelio_wane account. All three were active around the same time and even share the same local time.

VanDerTrust and aphelio_wane both registered on the same date: November 17, 2022, just over half an hour apart.

Check out their posting activity:

And all three have been inactive ever since.
323  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 10, 2024, 08:39:58 PM
I have only bet on the biggest leauges and games. Nothing shady, sadly ive won a few thousand.. They have provided no other information than that is has been escalated. If I had knew that they would do these kinds of things, I would never have deposited there in the first place. But now im quite concerned after reading all the threads about Rollbit in this forum.

I understand Rollbit is reviewing your account related to sports bets.  This seems pretty standard - many gambling sites will look closer at accounts with a lot of action on sports.  No need to stress too much and  if you've done nothing sketchy, it should get cleared up.  Rollbit has a good reputation overall, so I'd expect them to be fair and reasonable here.

Just hang tight for now.  The review may take some time, but if your conscience is clean it'll probably work out fine in the end.  Try to be patient - getting worked up over it wont help move things along.  Hopefully you'll get an update from them soon.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: February 10, 2024, 07:53:13 PM

Really? Painting with a wide brush (men this, women that) is oversimplified. Are we still using these outdated binaries in 2024? Come on. Discuss facts, not fiction. Healthy gambling (balancing risk and reward) is something men and women thrive at when given equal opportunity. Society shapes our view of natural ability. Exposure, education, and empowerment matter, not gender. Given the correct environment, women can take chances and pursue ambitions too

Talking about liability? Relic of the past. Dependency nowadays is situational, not gender-specific. All genders want financial independence. The concept that men are better at money and risk is outmoded and contradictory to gender equality. Our thought should evolve, not devolve

Very well said, Broad generalizations about genders often propagate outdated stereotypes rather than reflecting reality.  You're absolutely right - both men and women can enjoy taking calculated risks or thriving in varied settings and even though gambling is not exactly my favorite pastime, I recognize when done responsibly, some may find it exciting.  Moving forward, we would do well to avoid assumptions based on gender and appreciate each person's individuality.
325  Economy / Gambling / Re: ltc casino login on: February 10, 2024, 04:43:08 PM
<...> Ok now that they have changed the domain what about the registered accounts with their funds?

Well, I assume nothing's changed with the registered users and their balances on the site.  They just swapped out the main domain from ltccasino.com to ltccasino.io, but elsewise everything's the same as before far as I can tell.

But what bugs me more is how their forum rep kept quiet about it all and deleted from ann post, then began promoting anonymous-casino.com instead without explainin' why.  Just don't sit right with me.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think? Lump sum vs DCA best accumulation strategy. on: February 10, 2024, 04:30:55 PM

<...>

I'm really sorry about that I know I spoke less in favour of lump sum, I use it strategically when I want to buy on dips and I didn't want to make such points least people start relying on only dip buys as an accumulation strategy knowing that it often leads to procrastination and indecision amongst younger investors.

Yeah, there's no reason to be sorry about anything.  Since DCA gave you good results in the past it makes senses to keep using that method.   At the end of the day, we just have to figure out what investment style works best for us.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 09, 2024, 11:44:44 PM
Yeah, I hear you! It really does seem like the casino knows exactly what we're gonna do before we even do it.  Like they've got some kinda voodoo magic predicting our bets.  What luck, eh?  Wink

But nah, it's just in our heads and  these games work on chance - even if it feels rigged when were on a losing streak.  The house ain't out to get us specifically.  The spins and deals are random, fair and square.  We just gotta chalk it up to cruddy coincidence when we keep picking the wrong numbers or betting big right before a cold run.

That's gambling.  She's a fickle mistress! But hey at least we know there aint any funny business going on behind the scenes when there is a provably fair system that can be verified.  The game ain't rigged just 'cause our strategy didn't pan out this time.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can't Access LTC Casino on: February 09, 2024, 10:37:26 PM
I have seen platforms that change domain names in the past. When they care enough, they try as much as possible to redirect users from the old domain name to the new one. LTC casino did not do this and obviously confusion is bound to ensure.
exactly, what they ltccasino did is very inconsiderate to their gamblers. it also puts their gamblers at risk of being a victim of phishing scams.

Yes, I agree with this. We definitely need to keep our eyes open when links look fishy and ask for personal info.

As for the casino, I gotta say I just don't get why their marketing and support people didn't properly prepare and inform users about this domain transition.  Especially with all the shady business tactics already going on in this industry and  it makes a guy wonder if they care about their people at all.  With all the other shady stuff going around with them, it seems best to avoid this casino altogether.  But that's just my two cents.
329  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect this bull run? on: February 09, 2024, 10:11:43 PM
Chill out not everything is about Bitcoin!

In that case, your post is off-topic here. The Bitcoin Forum, as you might guess, is primarily for Bitcoin discussions. If you'd like to discuss altcoins speculations, you'll find dedicated boards for them here: Speculation (Altcoins)
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break in gambling on: February 09, 2024, 08:05:58 PM
I think it's a good idea to take a break from gambling every so often.  It helps keep things in balance, kind of like if you do anything too much and, for me, when I step back for a bit, it makes me think about what matters more and I can enjoy other stuff going on in my life.
I don't try to stop gambling completely really.  I just look for ways to do it responsibly in moderation I guess you could say.  Sometimes if I notice myself getting overly excited about it or too caught up in it, I'll take a little break.  Or if I want to spend time on other hobbies I have or other investments, Ill take a break too.  I think that's a healthy approach to everything.
331  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think? Lump sum vs DCA best accumulation strategy. on: February 09, 2024, 07:05:31 PM
<...>
So in my opinion lump sum is not the best strategy for this reason to me, mind you I do use lump sum, when I'm buying on dips, but I don't allocate much to it and my basic strategy is DCA which I consider the best for accumulation, if you think otherwise or have anything to point out to me I'm very much ears to listen 😎🥰.

You make a fair point - lump sum investing can work well if you happen to buy at a low point, but dollar cost averaging tends to work better over the long run by smoothing out volatility.  There's merits to both approaches and  it comes down to personal preference and risk tolerance.

But I can see your example of buying Bitcoin at its peak price as cherry-picking.  That was a single data point that ignored Bitcoin's potential for future growth, and that is not the best way to make analysis or draw conclusions.   If we take that approach, does that mean every other asset is also in the same boat as Bitcoin? For example, what about gold?  If you had bought gold at its peak at the end of 2011, it took more than eight years to recover its value. Eight freaking years! Do you think Bitcoin will ever take that long for a new ATH?

In the end, reasonable people can disagree on investment strategies.  As you rightly pointed out combining lump sum purchases with dollar cost averaging can make sense for some investors.  Theres no universally best approach - it depends on one's specific goals and appetite for risk.
332  Economy / Gambling / Re: ltc casino login on: February 09, 2024, 05:54:22 PM
Hi guys, I made deposit and cant open website, could u help pls, also support does not respond to emails!

It seems LTC Casino's main website (ltccasino.com) is currently facing some availability issues.  There's a chance they could be experiencing a DDoS attack, which overloads servers with fake traffic.

In the meantime, you can access LTC Casino through their alternative domain at https://ltccasino.io.  They shared this new URL on Bitcointalk ANN and Twitter to alert customers.

However, situations like these draw scammers attempting phishing schemes.  Double-check any links come from legitimate sources before entering personal information or making transactions.  Stay vigilant against fraudsters trying to exploit confusion around the website changes.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: February 08, 2024, 09:35:21 PM
I get that losing money gambling can be frustrating.  Believe me, I've been there.  But blaming the dealer or saying things like it's that machine's fault is just making excuses.  At the end of the day, gambling is gambling - you win some, you lose some.  Thats the nature of it and

I'm not trying to lecture.  I just think getting angry and making accusations won't improve your chances or mentality.  Having a level head is important.  Freaking out makes it all less fun anyway.  It's best to just accept the losses in stride.

Stay sane out there, folks!
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 08, 2024, 09:06:16 PM
Maybe we should just know people for whom they were, we cant expect everyone being the same as we are in life or through the way they are gambling to be the same as ours, its a barbaric experience to see that someone goes to that length in selling off properties just to satisfy their gambling desires, and the next thing that comes straight on my mind was that, what will such person do after he gambles and loose the bet and the property is gone, in everything we are doing, we should always consider the two sides of the consequences that may follows every actions we take.

That's true. When people get caught up in stuff like gambling addictions, it can screw up their whole lives.  I saw this guy I know from back in the day who started selling all his stuff just to get money to keep gambling.  He even lost his car and everything and  it was sad to see someone throw away their life like that all cause they couldn't stop gambling.

I guess we can't expect everyone to make the same choices we would.  But watching somebody gamble away everything they own is pretty hard to stomach.  It's like theyre trapped in this cycle where they keep making things worse tryna win it all back.  Part of me wanted to smack some sense into him, but the other part just felt bad seeing the mess he'd gotten himself into.
335  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Wallet with lost password 12k BTC FOR SALE on: February 08, 2024, 08:39:56 PM
I thought that you can brute force such a wallet. Or have you forgotten you have a topic that you can recover such a wallet. This from one of your topics in the paste as reference:
<...>

Hahahha! He is such an idiot scammer wannabe.  He can't even remember his own scam attempts.  What a dumbass!
336  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Wallet with lost password 12k BTC FOR SALE on: February 08, 2024, 01:38:53 PM
Why would anyone pay anything for a fake wallet.dat file?

Can sent any proof of wallet owner ship.

Just out of curiosity, how do you plan to prove it?
337  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 1300; Emergency Case; Offering collateral; Paying back within 1 month on: February 07, 2024, 09:00:08 PM
If you want $1,300 given to you that you don't have to pay back, pretend to be a charity.
I am not taking this for free, I said as a loan

You said "as a loan" here, but you didn't say that in your other topic, where you practically begged for money, which is forbidden on this forum.

Now you've also opened a service offer, which is great! It's a shame you didn't start with that, as offering services is generally acceptable way to earn money here.
338  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Privacy Protocols on: February 07, 2024, 08:25:15 PM
Is there any evidence that Satoshi Nakamoto deliberately avoided adding privacy-related protocols and functionality into Bitcoin in order to avoid the ban-hammer?

I'm not so sure if there's solid proof that Satoshi left out privacy stuff in Bitcoin only to steer clear of regulations.  In 2009, crypto and what it could lead to was pretty much uncharted territory.  Rules from government might not have been a main thing on his mind and  seems he cared more about creating a decentralized and immutable digital currency that didn't rely on centralized entity and couldn't be manipulated or faked.  Maybe those goals took priority over making payments impossible to trace.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably Fair- How Can You Know? on: February 07, 2024, 07:50:53 PM
I appreciate everyone's responses here.  I haven't had time to go through all of them yet, but the few that I have, have helped me to be able to understand things a little better.

Are you asking how do you know if the casino isn't cheating you? Like giving you salted seeds? Or are you wondering how to check a games results? If it's the latter there are verifiers out there, 1 was provided for you. If you are asking the 1st question, I would like to know that myself.

Yeah exactly, I'm wondering how it can ( or can't ) be proven if the Casino is cheating you or not.  It feels like they have been lately, hence why I've asked this question lol

I don't know which casino you are specifically talking about, but let's take Duelbits as an example, since you promote them with your signature.

Everything is here: https://duelbits.com/fairness

If I'm reading correctly, they make portions of their source code publicly available and  i suppose the salient question is whether users can leverage that code to independently audit and verify the site's claimed fairness.   In theory, an engaged community could band together, reviewing shared source elements to call fouls or confirm fairness.  It presents an opportunity for crowd-sourced regulation.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A student investing in bitcoin? on: February 07, 2024, 08:46:56 AM
There's a saying about being careful with investing in Bitcoin.  It can definitely be risky business.  At the same time, I want to believe most folks sharing their experiences are doing so honestly, even if they don't get everything exactly right.

Maybe they're new to crypto and still figuring it all out.  Or maybe in their enthusiasm they unintentionally exaggerated or misremembered some details.  Either way, probably best not to assume bad intentions right off the bat.

And for sure no one should feel pressured into anything.  We all have to make informed responsible choices with our money.

OP, if you're being honest and genuinely new to Bitcoin investing, I wish you the best of luck. However, if your intention is to post fabricated stories just to gain merits, or forum rank and recognition, please stop. Your post history can be easily checked, so it's best to be genuine and contribute meaningfully to the discussions.
