641  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: October 13, 2023, 07:20:15 PM
Most of the connection is the similarity of the layout, sharing of wallet address and the parent company. They are both dodgy and behave the same way on dealing scams especially their throw away casino brand like Kawbet.
They are connected to other scam sites like Melbet etc too. There is a ton of proof indicating that they are all connected and 1xbet is the parent company which is why I find it odd seeing so many people asking proof of the same.

Here's another "not-so-coincidental" link that ties these sites together, something I pointed out last year. If we compare the answers from their security departments, it's pretty clear they used the same template and it was definitely the same folks working behind the scenes.  With everything else people here have shown, I got no doubt it's the same company pulling all the strings, and selectively scamming players the same way.

As someone already said, the main brand of the company is 1XBET, but 1xbit is simply an unlicensed and illegal derivative. This allows the company to operate in markets where 1XBET is prohibited.
What is most important, their background operations and their "security" team is the same, so all the scamming comes from the same source.

I've read countless complaints from both casinos on many online review sites and forums. Here are a few choice messages from their security departments:

The official response from 1xbet security team (five years ago):

source: https://www.reddit.com/r/sportsbook/comments/6s3xr5/1xbet_canceled_all_my_winnings_after_attempting/

The response from 1xbit security department (2017):

At 10:18pm, the security department answer me that :

Good Day. We want to inform you, that our company decided to stop any collaboration with you (closing your account). This decision is based on the official Terms and Conditions point 2 subpoint 31 of the betting company 1xbit.
We ask you not to create new accounts in our website. Pay your attention to the moment that if you try to create new accounts, we will block them. At the same time your actions have been a violation of the above mentioned Terms and Conditions. The Decision concerning the stopping any collaboration with you  is final and without appeal.
You can withdraw your funds.

The response from Melbet security department (2017):

source: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/melbet-1xbet-refuses-to-withdraw.79608/

I think it would be foolish to think that this could just be a coincidence.
642  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: October 13, 2023, 06:39:37 PM
The mystery around Naim027 and his various identities keeps the forum lively and interesting.  I gotta admit, I'd be disappointed  if he just disappeared.  He may be many things, but you can't deny he's got grit and he doesnt back down easily.  It's pretty impressive how he bounces back and reinvents himself.

I look forward to seeing what he cooks up next. Happy sleuthing!
643  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free - Crypto Casino Script Plinko + Crash Full Installation Document on: October 12, 2023, 11:39:28 PM
It all boils down to what the original author says and whether they're okay with it.

In that case we shall wait for the original author to show up, I'm completely fine with that outcome.

So I take it that you will stop illegally selling a script you don't own the copyright to until you get the green light from the original author?

Why wait for authors to show up here? They have their contact information right there on their official website, and you can also reach out to them via their GitHub profile. This would definitely be a quicker and more straightforward means of communication.

Now have you planned to comment on the OP's scummy ways or is that outside your jurisdiction, your honor?
If not, I'd suggest we end the discussion until the original author shows up.

One thing at a time...
644  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free - Crypto Casino Script Plinko + Crash Full Installation Document on: October 12, 2023, 09:37:19 PM
<!!!>

You're very fast to accuse someone of lying, a true sign of an intellectual.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I've successfully demonstrated that you don't seem to have any issues with lying, twisting facts, and not being entirely straightforward. Or do you wish to deny these statements?

Let me paint you a picture here since you maybe don't understand the written word:

If i find a broken car in the middle of the road, all rusty and dusty and I take it home and fix it and then try to sell it -> IS THAT CAR MINE OR SOMEONE ELSES?

If you find a broken car in the middle of the road, it doesn't automatically become yours. It's still someone else's property. I'm not sure where you live, but this analogy gives off major "dodgy neighborhood in a big city" vibes. You know, the kind where you can't even leave your car unattended for a hot minute without risking losing it, or at least the wheels!  Cheesy

But this actually explains a lot. If you hold property rights in such low regard, it's not surprising that intellectual property doesn't get much of your attention either.

If i find an abandoned dog in a cardboard box and I take it home and it grows old with me -> IS THAT MY DOG OR SOMEONE ELSES?

Basically, it's the same situation as with a car. You're assuming the dog is abandoned, but that doesn't grant you the right of ownership. What if the dog is just lost, and the real owner is still looking for it?

/Once more, I'll skip a chunk of your text, which, imho, seems quite irrelevant or just a rehash of those wrong assumptions I've already explained for you./

So, let's make it clear once and for all.
The source code that I used as a base - WAS PUBLISHED ONLINE FOR ALL TO SEE WITHOUT ANY "LICENCES" - I took the source code and fixed it (made it useable).
Unless the REAL OWNER can come here and prove their ownership + forbid me from selling it I will not stop selling it.

And I'll explain to you once again, that's not how software licenses work. I don't know what you still don't understand. Even if you stumble upon the source code floating around on the internet, it doesn't automatically grant you the right to use it as you please. Without a license, it defaults to "all rights reserved."

You can read more about it here: Is my code FLOSS just because it is published it on GitHub?, or simply read the GitHub help pages: Licensing a repository

Quote
You're under no obligation to choose a license. However, without a license, the default copyright laws apply, meaning that you retain all rights to your source code and no one may reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from your work.

If the source code in question WAS in fact owned by "phoenix gambling" it would not be able to stand still on github for over 3 years - phoenix would be able to take it down.
WHY DON'T THEY TAKE IT DOWN THEN???

Why on earth would they take down their own repository? Phoenix gambling (win5x) has made it abundantly clear why they made their source code public. But, you should understand that making source code public doesn't equate to giving up their copyright.

And if all this is not enough - here's a little trick we'll do.
I will NOT sell the base source code - I will give it out for free.
I will only sell updates for the free source code.

Does that work or am I not even allowed to sell 100% my own code, your Honor?

It's actually not a bad idea at all! I'm glad you're finally starting to understand. But there's a bit more to it. It depends on the specifics of your software's licensing. If the original code has certain open-source or free-to-use components, giving it out for free is typically fine, but selling updates or derivative works might be a grey area. It's not about not being allowed to sell your own code, it's about whether you can use the original code in that way. There are different kinds of software licenses, and I'm sure you're aware of that, which tell you what you can and can't do with the code. It all boils down to what the original author says and whether they're okay with it.

Theymos just forgot to pay the bills this month. Better make sure to remind him to set some reminders.

What?
Could this be the cause of the shut down and how does he generates money to pay the bill?

Calm down, It was just a joke!

I'm sure that the forum has enough money to keep running for a very long time. Even theymos said so when he disabled forum advertising.

OP, are you referring to this topic:

Blockchain For Dummies!
647  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free - Crypto Casino Script Plinko + Crash Full Installation Document on: October 11, 2023, 08:06:46 PM
I never presented the code as my own - the updates I did are my own.

You're lying again!

Here are just a few examples where you have stated that you believe you are allowed to claim the code as your own:

I'm allowed to change the code that is public and brand it as my own given the enough code was changed.

I plan to market it as my own since it is my own. Given enough code is changed Im allowed to call it my own.

Im sorry but our discussion has no point as you keep coming back to the same point where you claim "i scammed because I claimed i made the code" while in fact I never claimed that and if you joined my discord and did some actual research you'd realise that.

Give my earlier messages another read; I don't plan on rephrasing it just because it didn't click the first time. And, by the way, I'm not interested in your discord.

Also please let me know: How do I prove something doesnt exist? Logically and mathematically.

I didn't ask you to prove something that doesn't exist. I asked you to prove your statements,
specifically this:
It's not so black and white as people here make it seem. Phoenix gambling is a scamming group of people who stole the "code" and now is pretending they made it.
Original developers published their 1st version of the code long time ago and gave permission to anyone to change it, modify it and resell it.

and this:
Please note that Phoenix gambling is still selling the code full of bugs (over 100 of them) and they refuse to fix any - because they think its not necessary or because they cant? you decide.

If you can't back up your claims with solid evidence, it basically means you're making things up to spin a fake story.

You also inverted/twisted half of what I said about Klaus and Adam. All i said was: let them come here and show they made the code.

You're making things up again.  I didn't mention anything about those two. I clearly stated that it's not relevant to this discussion.
648  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free - Crypto Casino Script Plinko + Crash Full Installation Document on: October 10, 2023, 01:02:24 PM
1) I can prove I did over 100 updates and bug fixes on the base code.
2) I cant prove Phoenix is not original dev - It's on them to prove they ARE original devs, not vice versa.
3) Phoenix gambling won't come here with proof as they don't own any - They're aware of the scamming they've been doing for the last 2 years and they don't want to add fuel to the fire as they're know it would hurt their business too.
4) I'm fairly certain "phoenix gambling" does not exist. It's not a real company and thus they CANT own the code nor prove they made it.
5) Phoenix gambling is 2 Russians pretending to be German. They go by "Klaus" and "Adam" - Id like those two to come here and show in which country their company named "Phoenix gambling" is registered.

1. That's not the key issue here. Even if you make 10,000 updates, it doesn't magically make the original code yours, and it certainly doesn't grant you the right to claim someone else's work as your own.
2. If you can't prove that they aren't the original developers, then why bother slinging mud and insisting they're not? If you have any doubts, it's only fair to present the evidence. They published the source code of their original script on GitHub, after the code was leaked on the Russian warez forums. You admitted it yourself:

Hey man I saw your post about buying win5x from phoenix gambling back in august 2022.
I've been fixing their free (leaked) version since then and I can say that I managed to fix majority of the bugs.
Even the crash works now.

And now you lie that they are not the original developers? Where did you get their script then?

4. Whether they are a real company or not is irrelevant. Even independent developers have the right to claim ownership of their code.
5. Not relevant for this discussion.

He posted my project - my code - my work for FREE.
And i'm the scammer?
Dear god...

It wasn't your code to begin with. All the facts show that you illegally took someone else's code and present it as your own. Yes, that makes you a scammer!

So the moral of this story is: If you're not happy with the service you get - Ruin their business and accuse them of scamming?

That's exactly what you tried to do in the case of Phoenix gambling.

This forum is honestly a chatgpt infested cesspool - Not a single reply on here makes sense - not a single person reads my comments.

That's not true!

All you people do is cherry pick parts of my replies - the important stuff? you leave it out as you can't reply to it.
If you want to reply to my comments - reply to every single line of it.

Your replies are filled with irrelevant and unimportant details, seemingly to divert attention from the actual issue. If you'd like us to address each point, it might be more effective to keep your initial messages concise and to the point.

I will neutral tag him with a direction to this thread. That should get his attention, seeing as how he never responded here on forum on the issue.
Fair enough, but seeing the conversation from the other thread, the writing is on the wall that Metropoly project is being the dishonest party not honouring their part of the deal.

I'm not saying that he is wrong, but Murat should really think about laying out his side of things here.  Not saying anything doesn't do anyone any favors, and it usually just leads to more guessing and people making up stuff that aint true.  Even if Metropoly screwed up and didn't hold up their end of the bargain, no reason for the manager to not speak out about it publicly.

Does anyone here really utilize these online crypto casinos to place bets in bitcoin and have you had much luck with it?

You have been a member of this community since 2018 and you are well aware to post in the Gambling section, so I really don't understand your question. You even promote bitcoin casino with your signature.

What have you found to give you the best odds in winning? Is there any skill involved in any of their games or is it all purely chance?

It depends on the game. All casino games are luck-based to some extent. Some may involve a degree of skill, like poker, where your decisions can influence the outcome.
652  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free - Crypto Casino Script Plinko + Crash Full Installation Document on: October 09, 2023, 10:18:51 PM
It's not so black and white as people here make it seem. Phoenix gambling is a scamming group of people who stole the "code" and now is pretending they made it.
Original developers published their 1st version of the code long time ago and gave permission to anyone to change it, modify it and resell it.

Do you have proof of that?

I'm one of the people who took the code and changed it and what I sell is not only the code - I provide support, i wrote the installation guide (3 versions so far) and I provide updates and bug fixes -

Again, depending on the original license (e.g., GPLv2 or v3), you may be permitted to modify the script but not to resell it, or its derivatives. You can offer support, provide updates and bug fixes, and charge for these services, but that still doesn't grant you rights to the original script or its derivatives.

Please note that Phoenix gambling is still selling the code full of bugs (over 100 of them) and they refuse to fix any - because they think its not necessary or because they cant? you decide.

Do you have proof of that?

I'm doing this community a favor for taking the garbage code and turning it into a usable piece of software but hey, as they say, do good, get fucked.

By that logic, degika is doing this community a favor too!

Also, to add a final note to this discussion as i cant keep checking this thread to reply:

The source code in question is NOT AN OPEN SOURCE CODE.
It was simply published by the original devs as they didn't want to continue developing the software as it was full of bugs already.

It has no open source licences and other bullshit - It's free for all piece of code.

LOL! That's actually even worse for you!

The default software license for publicly released code is typically "All Rights Reserved." What that means is the person who wrote the code keeps all the copyrights and control over it.  Other people can't use it, change it, or distribute it without explicit permission from the original creator.

If you decide to make it public then the right way to do it is on github, that way the community can make it a better code.

But here are some ethical problems, you should not make public the work from a developer even if you pay for the code, because if that developer wanna sell more copies then you just kill his business and all his work.

If the code comes with the Installation Documentation then you should install it yourself.

But I'm of the idea that talking is the right way to fix any problem, and this kind of action never end well. But good luck anyway.

Well, this is more complicated than it seems at first! Looks like degika bought a casino script from swaga.  But here's the thing - swaga didn't actually make the script.  He resold it illegally after getting it from the real developers at phoenix-gambling! I even found a comment phoenix-gambling left a few months ago explaining the whole situation.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5440223.msg61782027#msg61782027

They said swaga took their open source script from GitHub without permission and acted like he created it himself! Super sketchy.  degika probably had no idea since swaga was acting like the legitimate creator.

This couldn't be further from the truth but hey people on here will say anything to get that 1 post / merit.

Phoenix gambling is not the original dev of the code I'm selling and they have 0 rights to it - They're not even a legal entity. Anyone with half a brain is free to download the code and use it OR (like i did) change it, modify it and sell it as a standalone product.

You say you're a developer? Then you should know that's not how software licenses work. See, when someone writes a program and shares it under a certain license they still have rights over that code.  Stuff like how it can be used, changed, or passed around and  unless you wrote it yourself or got the ok from whoever did, you can't just sell it.  Thats infringing on their intellectual property rights.

Quote
I can provide you with over 10 individual cases where Phoenix gambling scammed their own customers by not providing them with what they promised - Original developer would NOT do that.

Thats not the topic of this discussion. Besides, two wrongs don't make a right.

Quote
Ive had this discussion before and I'm not planning to again. I'm allowed to change the code that is public and brand it as my own given the enough code was changed.

Oh, you're absolutely, positively, 100% wrong!  Cheesy  You are allowed to modify and use open-source code for your own purposes, but you must still adhere to the terms of the original license, no matter  how much of the original code was changed.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MultiversX (EGLD) is the next Bitcoin on: October 09, 2023, 08:40:47 PM
It didn't fall - it was dropped by whales. They want to shake off the remaining weak hands (most likely it will drop ever more after the xDay event despite very good news).

I call the result, and you call the cause, trying to deny and refute the result itself. You're trying to convince yourself that this token didn't fall, it just had negative growth, right?

In fact, the price of the coin has collapsed multiple times, no matter what reason contributed to it. You have no proof that whales exclusively did it, just blind assumption. Demand collapsed, supply increased, the token is of little interest to anyone at the moment, just like the rest of the pile of similar shitcoins claiming to be the new bitcoin.
Then tell me what. Why did Bitcoin drop from $1000+ in 2013 to $150 (roughly) in 2015? There was too 2 years bear market. How do you explain this?

Your comparison to the bear market of 2015 doesn't hold water because the circumstances and effects are different. The bear market affected all coins on the market at that time. However, it's quite evident that today, only EGLD is experiencing a continuous decline. Typically, that means investors are losing confidence in that particular shitcoin.

BTW, Bitcoin was too declared dead back then

656  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User reselling my website on: October 09, 2023, 07:59:23 PM
He probably did purchase the code from me but the fact he is trying to sell it on the same forum is beyond insane.

Not to mention he did 0 changes and doesnt even have his own demo website.

OP, as far as I can see, this user is selling a script, not a website.
Assuming that you designed this casino script, and as you yourself say that user degika may have bought the same one from you, you don't have much room for complaints. He bought it from you, for who knows what reasons he wants to sell it and that's his thing. Except if you don't have a specific written in the sales contract that the license is exclusively related to his name or his company and that he is not allowed to sell it on this forum. That sounds insane.

If you do not want this scenario, then you should not sell the same script more than once.

And, as it often turns out, this isn't the whole story. The OP himself is selling a script to which he has no rights. Here's a warning from phoenix-gambling in one of his previous threads, stating that they do not permit the resale of their script. Furthermore, the version of the script in question was never intended for public use or sale, as clearly stated on their Github repo.

@swaga, as you're not the original author of the script and don't have the right to resell it, you also don't have the authority to prevent others from freely distributing it, which is precisely what degika has done now.

From experience there is no such a thing as "mistake" in DT's cult. It's this redundant sentence "Trust system is not moderated to avoid abuse", my favorite joke.

Would you be singing a different song if your account wasn't painted red by any chance?

I mean if trust is not moderated then who are these DT members? Lol

658  Economy / Reputation / Re: Murat Scammed 62k Metropoly token on: October 09, 2023, 06:03:52 PM
The tokens are still sitting in his wallet. I don't know why he didn't disburse them to bounty hunters
These are ERC20 tokens and worth ~$760 (from the above user Shishir99). I'm sure there are more than 1 thousand eligible unique addresses or close enough. This will require at least $2000 ETH as fees now if I'm correct. Possibly team hasn't shared the fees. This has happened to me too. I had to go through the same situation, being called a scammer. Anyway, Murat knows the better and he must put a few words on the case.

This occurred to me, I think the only possibility him not paying to hunters he didn’t get transaction fees from client to distribute tokens. Usually in bounty campaign total addresses to distribute exceeds 10k if we include airdrop campaign too. It means client has to pay more than 10k usd in transaction fees to distribute tokens

The names [murat and metropoly] rung a bell in my head. It's vague, but I think I managed to get to the bottom of it back then by talking to both sides. Simplified, the project promised 250,000 token as a bounty payment, claimed that they've sent everything to the BM, but, in fact, they only send 62,500, with the txID to back up that fact.

Murat refuses to distribute the token and decide to hold them until metropoly fulfill what they promised by sending the rest of the token as promised in the beginning of the bounty.

edit: missed Rikafip's post about 25% while I take a walk down the memory lane and compose above post

From what I can tell, it seems like the Metropoly people might be lying here.  I mean, if there's no blockchain proof to support their side, then they're probably just making stuff up.  But what surprises me is that Murat's been so quiet about all this. Youd think he'd want to clear the air publicly right? I didn't see him post anything in that old thread, and it's pretty shady that he deleted those questions on his Telegram group.  I dunno, the whole thing smells fishy to me.  Murat should speak up if he wants people to know his perspective and  staying silent just makes him look guilty. This is some messy drama lol.  I wish theyd just put all the evidence out there and settle it already.  But from what I can see, Metropoly seems sus and Murat dodging questions doesn't help his case.  Just my two cents as an outsider looking in.
659  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I got it all wrong from the beginning on: October 09, 2023, 04:30:33 PM
OP's addressing a very common misconception that often is done by Newbie, I used to be like this too at my first time learning about crypto. I really thought that those app was where I store my Coin. I used to join multiple altcoins (erc-20) bounty campaign when the ICO boom happened, and I store all of my token in an app called IMToken, one day I buy a new phone and poof I lost all my tokens because I didn't save my private key/seed phrase.

But you could still use your IMToken wallet on your old phone, right? You wouldn't automatically lose all your tokens just because you bought a new phone, even if you didn't save your private key or seed phrase.  Just fire up that old phone, and you're back in business. unless, of course, your old phone is lost or destroyed and you can no longer use it.

I get why people worry about their loved ones who are into crypto, what with how up and down the markets can be. It makes sense to keep in touch with your family and friends whether things are going great or the markets tanking. Gotta make sure the highs don't go to anyone's head or the lows don't bum anyone out too bad. Supporting each other is good. Your people matter more than money.

But I also agree with JeromeTash, people need to learn to deal with the consequences of their actions themselves. This aint kids' stuff we're dealing with here.  Everybody's got to take responsibility for themselves and the risks they take.  We can support each other, but we cant be babysitting grown folks or cleaning up their messes for them.  They want to play with fire they're gonna get burned sometimes.  That's just how it is.
