321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: iOS wallet? on: February 12, 2018, 04:07:23 AM
Bread is a good and safe wallet. I'm using this wallet for all my BTC transactions. I also have a second wallet which is only available on the iOS platform. It's called bitWallet by Sollico:

http://www.sollico.com/bitwallet/

The nice thing about it is you can create Segwit addresses which really is a godsend to help keep fees low.

Other features:  (copied from their iOS app description)

- Securely store your Bitcoin addresses and their private keys.
- Create multiple wallets with multiple Bitcoin addresses per wallet.
- Create wallets for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.
- Send payments directly from the app.
- Print paper wallets to store your Bitcoins offline in cold-storage.
- Create SegWit addresses for lower transaction fees.
- Dynamic fees for timely confirmations at minimal costs.
- iCloud backup protects your Bitcoins if the iPhone is lost or damaged.
- Receive notifications when new transactions occur in your wallet.
- Create Classic wallets and Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallets (supports BIP32 / BIP44 / BIP49 structures).
- Create Watchlists to follow interesting addresses.
- Restore TREZOR Accounts, both Legacy and SegWit.
- Check balances and transactions per wallet and per Bitcoin address.
- Verify balances and transactions from multiple data sources.
- Check the Bitcoin price, in multiple currencies, from all Bitcoin exchanges.
- Shows live Bitcoin Network statistics.
- bitWallet is FREE, for now.
322  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC for USD Wire Transfer on: February 12, 2018, 02:55:01 AM
I want to sell about 5k to 10k USD of Bitcoin.  5k minimum. I don't mind escrow, but I heard people buy user accounts here, so I was wondering how to tell if someone bought an account that had done a lot of escrowing.

You should use trusted escrow listed here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910

And most importantly, be sure to contact the escrow directly. Do not use links suggested by the person you are transacting with. Do not rely on any copy/paste information provided by the person buying your bitcoins... especially information which he claims he got from the escrow.

Ignore any email or website address which the buyer claims to be the escrow's contact information. Contact the escrow DIRECTLY and wait for a response from the escrow. Don't allow the buyer to pressure you to quickly do the transaction or entice you to avoid escrow by offering you a better rate for your coins.

When contacting escrow, always check and double check the website address of the escrow's thread or profile page. Ascertain it is an authentic page and not a spoofed domain.

Beware of reversible payment methods. Avoid PayPal, Skrill and Venmo. If you are not familiar with due diligence methods, try to avoid wire transfers too. When taking cash deposits into your bank account, always check to make sure you are not dealing with MITM scammers. Check the deposit entry on your account and verify it with the bank to be sure it's not a check (cheque) or money order (which can be faked and reversed later if found to be fraudulent).

Beware of the "increments" scam. This happens when a scammer offers to trade small amounts first to show you he is honest. You will be told to send the coins first. Refuse this. Scammers will steal just about any amount of money. If they can't take an entire bitcoin from you, they will be happy to settle for 0.1 BTC.

Buyers.. follow the same advice above. Send money only after escrow confirms the coins are in his control.
323  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mistertango - Bitcoin friendly European Bank Account + free MasterCard on: February 12, 2018, 02:41:06 AM
BTW. If i want to have the Mastercard send with DHL, do i just write email to support?

When I applied for my card last year I requested them to send me the card by DHL. You need to write to their support and request courier delivery of your card. They will respond with the cost. You must then top up your account with enough money to cover the DHL fee. If you don't, they will not send the card by DHL. They won't loan you the fee.

When you have enough money on your account, they will take the fee and send the card. It's quite fast and you should expect next-day delivery if your address is in the EU.
324  Economy / Goods / Re: [DEALS] HOVERBOARD ELECTRIC SCOOTER === ONLY 34€ (Real price 365€) on: February 11, 2018, 11:08:36 AM
ill buy 1 but payment on receipt.

hi bro.

i think in anysite put any about make payment on receipt. I do not know in what physical store when you go to buy something, you tell the shopkeeper that you pay for the product you want to buy when you get home. also in a online shop, right?

So here is the same. You pay for a product and when the payment i have received it, i make the shipping to your address and when post give me the tracking number i provide you for can u control the status and the site where is your shipping product.

I think that i put you can use an Escrow Service in deal. So i let you my BTC wallet address:

1EZJiGVq1Y2M4cV3wbFQQDK26xhTmituXy

Call me again when the payment will be done for prepare fastly your shipping and provide me your Shipping Address.

I forgot put Refund Policy Cases in my anounce......so i go to add it now.

thanks

This totally stinks and looks like a scam. Your command of the English language is one red flag exposing the scam. Another solid indicator is the way you worded your post above. It sounds fishily similar to those fake gadget spam posts on Facebook:

"call me again when the payment will be done for prepare fastly your shipping"
"provide me your Shipping Address"
"Refund Policy Cases in my anounce"
"Why than cheap? Because i have overstock in my Shops and i have making liquidations"
(sounds extremely shady!)

This is a scam. Stay away, guys. Give it a wide berth. Refuse to send coins upfront. If you are tempted to give it a try, use a trusted escrow to hold the coins while goods are shipped. If OP refuses this, you have your solid proof of a scam.

What escrow you want to use ?
escrow.com for example

Nah, I know what the plan is. You will send a fake escrow confirmation email to the buyer. I also know for a fact that escrow.com doesn't escrow cryptocurrency deals or trades.
325  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Does anyone wants BTC in exchange of skrill? Comment with your rates! on: February 11, 2018, 10:19:15 AM
I give BTC, you give skrill.

Please comment with your rates, I have a lot of reputation on Argentina bitcoin community and a lot of references.

Cheers

The only valid and reliable reputational information is your trust score here.

I suggest using a trusted escrow for all transactions.

And be advised that Skrill is reversible. It is similar to PayPal. Payments can be disputed and reversed so be on your guard. I suggest trading with trusted and seasoned members.
326  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Uber’s Premium Account Shop! on: February 11, 2018, 08:06:36 AM
It still does not address the escrow issue. A replacement happens after a defect or problem is discovered which would be AFTER delivery of goods. Escrow on the other hand is about safeguarding the buyer’s coins before goods are delivered. It’s basically and essentially about protecting the buyer. Are you expecting to be paid first? Upfront?

There is nothing to replace if nothing is delivered.
327  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Uber’s Premium Account Shop! on: February 11, 2018, 06:54:18 AM
Scrolled up and down your post a few times trying to find the word "escrow" but can't. Can you help me find it?

Escrow is about protecting the buyer and making sure goods are delivered as promised and agreed. A trusted escrow on this forum holds the coins securely until the buyer receives whatever whatever you are selling. And if nothing is delivered, then coins are returned to the buyer. Nice and fair, right?

Waiting for your response.
328  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Brand New Sealed Ledger Nano S on: February 11, 2018, 01:44:45 AM
Offered to buy this device if the user sent first. They seemed open to the idea then I said I would take it at asking price... suddenly no reply but multiple updates here. Very suspicious behavior. Beware.

Listen I was open to the idea of sending first due to  your status but upon looking at your trust rating there are multiple reports of you being a scammer. I'm not gonna take that risk and would rather use a trusted escrow so both parties can have the peace of mind.

I see an impeccable trust score there and negligible or maybe even invalid or even retaliatory feedback from vindictive individuals.

I agree with that comment about being suspicious but your suggestion about using a trusted escrow is fair and agreeable which is an indicator of this being a potentially legitimate offer. Weighing risks and deciding whether or not to sell is your good right after all.

Advice to both buyer and seller: contact a trusted escrow directly. Ensure and ascertain the escrow’s profile and thread are on a genuine and unspoofed domain. Follow instructions provided directly by the escrow. Never rely on copy/paste messages or links sent by the person you are transacting with.
329  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling About 130k SGD of Bitcoins Daily at live market rate. on: February 11, 2018, 01:26:51 AM
Some of us don't have any idea what SDG mean actually. My impression after reading to post was that this is a new coin and doesn't have any AN thread here and is a potential scam. Two people had posted the same offer already so can you provide the ANN thread link to it and is it listed on exchanges already?

SDG is Singapure Dollar, Is a FIAT currency validated like all the other bank currencie there is : debt money.

He asks to buy BTC for Singapore dollar. Maybe a three way bussines is in order SDG / Euro or USD and then the owner of the btc takes the desired payment currency.

there could not exist a thread because this is not a new crypto or ICO, is a fiat currency.

You can sell SDG for euro or dollar or make him do that and ask him to pay you with your desired fiat.

I would also buy BTC if anyone here wishes to sell.

In anyway they want and with any of the respected scrows here in the forum.

RESPECT

A very confusing post.

Firstly, it’s SGD and not SDG. This is the official ISO 4217 Alpha-3 three-letter code for SINGAPORE DOLLAR, the national currency of the Republic of Singapore, a sovereign country in South East Asia.

It’s simple. OP is selling bitcoins and he wants money in exchange for his bitcoins.

One can tell from the quality of posts whether or not such posters have ever held a passport (or even know what it is!), let alone traveled beyond their country’s borders.
330  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan 0.1 BTC up to 17.02 on: February 10, 2018, 04:58:59 PM
I am also ready to provide full personal information about myself
and make it legal if the lender wants it.

Personal information cannot guarantee repayment of the loan. It cannot be sold or auctioned off in the event of a default on repayment terms.

могу лишь на 1200$
и куда нужно поставить?

Before discussing where to repay the $1200 you must first find a way to borrow it with valid collateral.

imgur.com/a/CnjCt
calm down and contact me no matter what i have met the same thing in exmo. Exmo is convinced he has some reason to protect your property. Contact me if you need help

He can contact you here directly. On this public space. Why would he need to contact you "no matter what"? And how can you help him? For a fee paid upfront?

If you can help, do explain here how or what you can do to resolve his problem. And how do you know Exmo is convinced "he" has some reason to protect OP's property?
332  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Brand New Sealed Ledger Nano S on: February 10, 2018, 11:39:28 AM
Are these nifty little toys reprogrammable? Just concerned and cautious about the security issue when reselling or gifting them to someone else, especially if they are not directly sourced from the manufacturer.

I know they are really secure and advertised as a wallet with robust safety features but given the sophisticated nature of scamming technologies these days I would be hesitant to store coins on it. That's just my opinion. Of course OP's device might be totally safe but one has to consider all potential threats and risks.

Can a new seed be implanted on this device? Just wondering if they can be reprogrammed somehow to allow for backdoor access to the private keys.
333  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS) 4 gold rings wiht diamonds / emerald WOW on: February 10, 2018, 11:28:42 AM
Where are these rings from? Are they yours? I hope these are not stolen jewelry.

Good to see you accept escrow. I'm assuming you understand it would be a trusted escrow on this forum? Using eBay might be unsafe, considering they (just like PayPal) are not exactly pro-crypto.

I see you provided the stone's weight and grading which indicates you might have the papers or appraisal reports for these rings. Do you?

That red trust is a bit disturbing though.
334  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: February 10, 2018, 11:16:33 AM
My losses - http://prntscr.com/ibwc2t. 3.5 mln dollars was and 600k left (screenshot was made in January).

This is a shockingly immense amount! With losses of this scale law enforcement should be engaged.

This is the very reason why new exchanges should be treated with extreme caution. Sending coins to their hot wallets is playing Russian roulette. I have seen a few new ANN threads inviting people to sign up and well, obviously, send them coins.

But your post is a shocker. These are amounts which equate to a lifetime of savings for some people. I would be extremely angry and might even need psychological help if they (or anyone for that matter) stole this much money from me.
335  Economy / Lending / Re: 20$ btc loan on: February 10, 2018, 08:55:32 AM
See that bright red stain on your account? It’s what a dead account looks like. If you manage to wash it off, try again with valid collateral.

You can still get a loan with this account if you can provide the kind of collateral lenders accept. Listed stable altcoins are preferred.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Canadian Bank Creates a Storage for Cryptocurrency. on: February 10, 2018, 07:17:52 AM
I would consider it a positive step if they were to allow full banking services linked to stored bitcoin assets. By that I mean fully functioning Visa and MasterCard debit cards, interbank fiat transfers debited from the real time market value of stored bitcoins, ATM and teller-assisted fiat withdrawals from bitcoin accounts... things like that might change the banking landscape for the better.

As it stands now, the access cards industry (Visa and MasterCard notably) are stubbornly clamping down on anything linking their brands to digital currencies, mainly on compliance grounds. This uncertainty is unhealthy for the crypto consumer. The clampdown is effective because these card brands are dominant players in the payment processing industry. Even if a competitor brand were to be introduced, survival will be challenging. That’s because ATMs and merchants recognize established brands only. Introducing a new card brand like BitCard for example will require a major overhaul of acquirer banking systems and I’m very sure Visa and MasterCard will fight it tooth and nail. They already lost and continue to lose heavily to the global expansion of China’s UnionPay.

337  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [CEX.IO] Keeping your money/bitcoin hostage since whenever. on: February 10, 2018, 03:23:14 AM
I doubt Amber understood what the whole story was about. Very generalized response to you, probably the same template or generic response given to those reaching out to them. She didn’t even ask about certain case-specific issues related to what you were telling her which would make you really feel that she is concerned and genuinely interested. I’m sure they are overwhelmed with complaints from all over the UK, including petty stuff like being shortchanged a few cents by a supermarket or being cheated of Arsenal tickets on Craigslist etc.

I suggest you keep trying to resolve the situation with the exchange directly. That might be the best way forward.
338  Economy / Goods / Re: PIXEL 2 XL 64GB on: February 10, 2018, 02:43:42 AM
Interested

What does it mean only with MM?

Where is shipping from?

Thanks

It means middle man. Someone who acts as a trusted escrow or mediator.

Yes, using escrow is how it's done correctly. I suggest using a trusted escrow and observe the following advice carefully:

  • Contact a trusted escrow directly. Ignore links and copy/paste messages or payment instructions either party claims to have received from the escrow.
  • When contacting escrow, check and doublecheck the URL of the escrow's thread or profile page. Ascertain and ensure it's authentic and not spoofed or cloned.
339  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] BTC/ETH through PayPal on weekly basis. on: February 10, 2018, 02:36:22 AM
Well then, I suggest you don't waste your time and other people's time too. Genuine sellers will only sell coins to you if you use an irreversible and less risky payment method. A verified business account does not protect anyone you send money to. You can dispute and challenge the payment after receiving the coins and you have 180 days to do that.

Friends & Family payment mode does not offer any protection. Simply do the payment while you are on a VPN and later dispute the payment as being fraudulent and unauthorized. To make it easier, contact your credit card issuer and file a dispute too so they can charge back the amount. If the "friends & family" payment was sourced from a hacked bank account, a phished or stolen credit card, then the payment will definitely be reversed. PayPal will never authorize a gift payment sourced from stolen or fraudulently obtained funds.

The "weekly basis" thing is nonsense. It's a ruse designed to entice and lure people to think this is legit since you intend to buy more in the future. In reality, it's all about getting coins now.

Escrow can offer absolutely no protection because you can reverse the payment after getting the coins. Defeats the purpose of using escrow in the first place which is to protect both parties from defrauding each other and to ensure the transaction terms are met and respected.
340  Economy / Exchanges / Re: \\\ANONYMOUS AND LIMITLESS EXCHANGES AVAILABLE/// on: February 10, 2018, 12:44:55 AM
Was interested and wanted to give it a try but the site was telling me to send my coins to you first without any escrow protection so I quickly abandoned the transaction.

You see, I don’t know you. Nobody here knows you. Neither do you know us. This all translates to us being strangers to each other. Would you send money or coins to random strangers here? No, right?

Services such as yours are very common here and they are now all the rage. Scammers are now becoming more sophisticated and elaborate in their methodologies. They are now focusing all their efforts in creating exchanges because they know there is a demand for such services. And best of all, they can simply sit back and wait for the naive few to send coins upfront. No lengthy discussions about escrow, no fear of being exposed and tagged by DT members, no scathing comments which individual scammers often enjoy here. Exchanges have that legit look, that professional facade and they hide the people operating them.

Well, this should change. You should integrate a trusted escrow system in your Changenow exchange.

I urge anyone who might want to try this service to stop and think carefully before sending any coins to this anonymous service. They are, after all, an anonymous service.
