Alperen Sengun just put up numbers that no center in history has done before against Wemby. At the same time he held Wemby to 10 points. Every once in a while somebody really exposes Wemby for being young and thin. Tonight was one of those nights. Wemby is still having a hell of a year though and my pick for rookie of the year.
Alperen Sengun said it himself actually: He said Wemby is too tall but not strong yet. He was able to use his shoulders and got around Wemby. And when Spurs didn't double team him, he could score this great. This season, opponents of Rockets usually double teams Alperen Sengun but Popovich chose not to do that and paid for this mistake handsomely. Wemby could block couple of his shots but Alperen was much better overall. I guess this would be another weakness of Wemby that other teams might explore. Sengun is not really an extraordinary player, although he's been doing impressive stats this season but he is not included in the MVP conversation yet. Getting 45 points and 16 rebounds against Wemby, that's completely a mismatch and Spurs unfortunately have not made the right adjustment to that. And Alperen is still so young. Only 21 years and 220 days. He is actually almost 2 months younger than Chet Holmgren. This is also why I picked the Celtics today as my main bet and the Cavs lost their last game against a Knicks team that is missing their best players. Now against a team with more firepower like the Celtics, surely it'd be another loss and the Celtics are likely to extend their win streak. Hopefully, they can dominate with a big lead in the first half since they don't always score much in the second half.  Edit: What a throw by the Celtics in the fourth quarter.  At some point, it looks like a blowout win by the Celtics again; that was supposed to be money, but that huge run by the Cavaliers gave the Celtics another defeat. This is a casino related issue. I feel like some people are lucky. Or maybe this isn't about luck. I was surprised to see the 76ers beat the Mavericks. Not only covering the massive spread but winning… The Mavs haven’t been playing well suddenly. This would’ve paid off pretty well if you had some faith in the Sixers.

It is what everyone expected on how this game is going to end. 140-88. The game truly changed a lot and Celtics on this game shown how consistent they are, mostly their key players.
Now, it's just a question on how this will translate for the Celtics in the playoff, can they still dominate opponents that they are going to face in the playoff and continue their magical season? Or will they choke like 2 years ago when they face the Warriors in the finals and lost the series? No doubt that they are going to win the Eastern conference, maybe 8+ games or more against the number two. But still a long way to go for them and all will be answered come playoff time. That remains to be seen as the playoffs are certainly a different atmosphere. It's not guaranteed that because the Celtics are doing some exceptional job this regular season, they'll easily beat the teams in the playoffs. Let us remember that this team is always overvalued during the playoffs, but we tend to miss out on the big upsetter, which is the Miami Heat. Anything is possible when it comes to the playoffs but I still can't see anyone beating Denver at full strength, maybe okc but they are still too young I think. Golden state and Lakers problems is that theor best players are on the wrong side of 30. The NBA playoffs are long and grueling, even if they aren't on the injury report by that time in the year amd lingering injury takes longer to heal and tough to compete in 7 games series. I definitely agree that the players that both GSW and Lakers have, especially the star players, are definitely pretty old at this point, and that affects the team play sometimes. And the NBA playoffs are a place where you need all your star players available. And these players being more than 30, actually in the mid or late 30s, is definitely a risk. Because they can get injured sometimes. And that can cause problems for the team reaching the playoffs. Right now nothing is certain. If players are healthy anything can happen for sure and there is a good chance as well Old but could still deliver; it's not a big problem because when they get old, they also gain the experience they need to win. Like the Lakers last season, who would expect they'd reach the WCF after their struggle in the regular season, but they did, and LeBron James led the team to that success. Age is just a number for LeBron, and even Curry, I guess. So these two teams, despite not having a good ranking now, are still going to make it to the playoffs, and these teams are going to pose problems for the young teams they'll face. |

We're witnessing a very entertaining game now between these two. NLEX started strong, but Northport was able to have a good run, and now they are only trailing by 1 point. As for the total points of this game, the pregame odds are still almost the same, so that's fun since it's still in the 3rd quarter, and there's a chance that in the 4th quarter they'll score more due to a possible increase in fouls committed, as it's a close game. If this game goes to OT, that would be a huge bonus for the over. Already in the 4th quarter now, and it's now Northport that is leading the game, but it's still a manageable lead.
