321  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has no practical use and could be damaging to the economy! on: June 13, 2019, 05:56:05 PM
can only give damage to the global economy.
It seems to me that this is a statement of someone bitter of bitcoin’s existence. It threatens the government, banks and other institutions that might be affected if bitcoin will be widely adopted and used. This for sure the reason why this guy to whoever and whatever institution he is connected with why he is crying.
322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the dip passed? on: June 13, 2019, 05:42:44 PM
I have been in here from December of 2017. This means I had never experienced a complete bear market before. So I want to ask the veterans: Has the dip passed? What is your opinion of it?
If you have been here since Dec. 2017, you’ve probably heard and witnessed partly when it was in its highest value and after that from beginning of 2018 till lately this year (not talking about 2-3 months ago), you might have known how it went down dramatically until it is little by little gaining its recovery lately, so you cannot really say that you haven’t experienced bear market.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: g20 FATF regulations to demand kyc for recipient on: June 13, 2019, 01:18:59 PM
This is another sources that reports on FATFs intent: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-06-11/crypto-exchanges-are-facing-biggest-regulatory-hurdle-yet?srnd=cryptocurrencies

I can’t really see mandatory KYC of a kind to identify recipients of TXs, unless the whole system changes completely or extreme outbound restrictions are made to centralized exchanges, which would likely shift balance off to true DEX type exchanges. Nevertheless, tighter regulation is just a question of time and pace, whilst the extent of it will be a struggle between desire and feasibility.

True enough and i wonder what would be the status of cryptocurrency by then after which this tightening is implemented particularly bitcoin. This will be a matter of choice for us, to put our identity at risk and continue the game or just leave the matter behind and shift to something safer.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is time for Bounty hunters to hold/hodl on: June 09, 2019, 08:17:33 PM

Right now the trend has changed, it is now the period of receive and hold, anyone that dumps will be dumping for a very cheap amount, may end up regretting when such tokens have pumped several amounts higher than how much was sold. Imagine working for three months and receiving $10 in token exchange value and dumping at such amount where it would be worth about $100 waiting for some months being favored with the impending bull run.
You cannot blame them. Bounty can also be likened to gambling, it doesnt guarantee that the price they promise in their whitepaper will be reach, sometimes even the project behind itself fail so the coins/tokens they are carrying also end up to nothing. Actually I used to hold but sad to say all of those tokens I am holding are still unprofitable until now. It would have been better if i sold them earlier.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Benefits in cryptocurrency trading. on: June 09, 2019, 08:10:53 PM
You should also post more details about your trading pairs and trading platform etc because from the sound of your profit claims looks like you were trading in btc/usd and eth/usd pairs, personally i think it is better to just hold than trading usd pairs. I hope everyone here understands my point.
Yea if he doesn’t need the money much better wait longer for a much better price. If he pairs his coins with USD then that will be the end of it, he will have to wait for another drop in price to be able to buy again or else he will not be profiting that much if he buy with the current price.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins - Coin Dead Before You Knew It on: June 09, 2019, 08:05:17 PM
I have some collections of coins like this in my wallet, not exactly same name of coins but coins I worked hard for few years ago. I don’t know what to do with these. Some projects behind had just died or unsuccessful, some promised to change it into something tradable but only promise I got, some are not listed in exchanges.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc has no value on: June 09, 2019, 06:14:24 PM
Lol! These are the shallow reasoning of those who claim that anything that cannot be seen and touched are nothing. Probably this is what they are trying to point out. Just because it is not tangible/physical so they say it has no value. Paper money and coins are made from something though unlike crypto that are just figures and has no physical manifestations.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 09, 2019, 06:10:10 PM
Bitcoin got banned in India and China so Bitcoin is worthless in these 2 countries. People of India will lose $10,000 or $100,000 if they do not get buyers in other countries at $7000.

But who will buy 1 Bitcoin for $7000 ??  Grin  Insider's Information for Gold and Silver

Bollywood superstar "Amitabh Bachchan" earned multi-million dollars by starting a Bitcoin company.
Well, sad but that’s life. Nevertheless bitcoin will still live. Maybe affected in value shortly after the declaration but I don’t think the word “junk” fits to describe its possible effect. These are just 2 countries but if we think of countries in the world that have not yet adopted bitcoin and are still going to adopt, there’s still a big hope for it. It is designed to be like that, some closes their doors and some opens so life goes on.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018 on: June 07, 2019, 01:56:48 PM
The most important rule in gambling is self control, If you can let emotions cloud your judgments then you really should stay away from gambling, If not you might lose more than you afford, In gambling you've got to set your loss limit and be bold enough to walk away if you reach the limit, Then you can try again another day, you can't keep gambling to recover losses, If not you also bound to lose way more.

True! before deposit each single time i tell myself i will contr if i reach this limit and result can't Angry.
Maybe you are having lot of money to spend, that is why you can't.If you don't have any money how can you gamble again after exhausting your previous balance.
Lol! This is why there are gamblers that are buried in debts because of their desire to win and recover their loses they take loans hoping they will be able to return it after winning but the same thing happens, they are losing every time. Some sell their properties so they can support their destructive vices and end up sleeping on the street and excommunicated by their families.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be too quick to judge ICOs on: June 07, 2019, 01:51:34 PM

A team has to make a study first before deciding to make an ICO for their project, ocne they know the project is very doable and they have some type of people who an build relationship to which industry they focus that's when they shall decide. Some projects didn't have to do an ICO to make a success in starting up a project.  Polymath for  example didn't do an ICO, they just airdropped tokens and see if they can build a community that will support the project. Teams that doing an ICO must have miss something else to which in the end they end up being scam.
They want a quick and easy money so this is how they end up. How many projects I supported already through bounty campaign that after a successful token sale all the developers just disappeared, they left their telegram channel and ran away with the money they got from their ICO with out even paying bounty hunters.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: June 07, 2019, 01:37:47 PM
Just another ICO spoiler. ICO reputations has been very bad because of thieves tike this one. Even bounty hunters are already getting tired of being  scammed every time they participate in ICO bounty campaign. Sad.  Sad
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties is not a reliable source of income on: June 07, 2019, 01:31:23 PM
That is why when bounties were still profitable a lot suggested to quit jobs and focus on being a bounty hunter since it came to a point that they were indeed good and brought good profit but after the bear market has taken place everything has died down. I was thinking that it was good I didn’t leave my job to get full time in cryptocurrency particularly in bounty hunting, if I did, I would have been dead a long time already.  Grin
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Real Solution to Dumping on: June 07, 2019, 01:25:45 PM
Just pay them in Bitcoin or USD then it will solved their problem. The thing is they doesn't want to shell out money, then all wanted to reached their goal of raising millions of dollars and yet when bounty hunters wanted to sell to get their rewards then they start complaining. Fix the payment not in their tokens then everything will be solved.
Not just this, bounty hunters work to get paid because they need  money, if bounty hunters will wait till their target value is reached before they sell theirs, that will be close to impossible. First there is no guarantee it will reach and second it can even go below the ICO price which will be equivalent to unprofitable for them.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luring hunters to promote bounties on: June 07, 2019, 01:20:33 PM
I also look at the manager first, then check the project and the reward allocation.  If it is fair then I'll participate.  There are also a low reward bounties that never paid.  There is also no assurance that if we joined the bounty run by reputable manager can give us a good amount.  All in all, bounty hunting is like a treasure hunting game wherein sometimes we get good reward and often times we get nothing.

And it's marketing.. observe exaggerations! Smiley
True. Sometimes choosing good and reputable bounty managers is also not a guarantee you will get paid 100%, manager maybe good but sometimes it is the project developers that are not true to their words. I think i been twice or trice already to this kind of campaign. At the end of the ICO the project manager denied the bounty hunters their pay by saying they were not satisfied by their service.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't test the Depth of water with Both Feets on: June 06, 2019, 09:05:16 PM
Good advice of course, but that applies to any decision when putting in your money. Always diversify and always know the risk you're putting up, and more importantly, never invest with money you can't afford to lose. This last part is I guess the most important and yet the most ignored. People keep putting money they THINK will grow, even though they know the risk is that they could lose it. And in crypto risk of losing it ALL is very real!
thanks for ur add up,  we all need to be cautious of whatever we do and never regret any decisions but rather make uniform resolutions from them
You know there are a lot of experts and experienced individuals that still fail. It is not because they were not informed or they dont know, they know very well but sometimes even when we know we still let our emotions rule over our head. Sometimes it is the excitement that drives us to make stupid decisions and sometimes because we have so much faith on a certain project or investment we give too much on it although we know what could be the possible outcome so its not always knowledge that matters, reminders are also important.

If the terrorist really wants to do it, then they might want to steal other people photo to represent their team, or if they're stupid put their own face on the internet.

I bet you haven’t encounter ICOs who did this? There are some ICOs  that  are doing it for real. I happened to participate in an ICO bounty campaign which in the beginning really did great and the developer team most of them were Chinese. But then, someone made a research about the team and found out that those faces posted in their whitepaper were wearing false names. The photos belonged to someone else who hold a different project and were in fact well know personalities in China.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese citizens could safely hold Bitcoin on: June 06, 2019, 07:57:59 PM
What is perhaps somewhat safe to say according to this article is that holding of BTC is not illegally in China, but as for the trading the situation is not clear, although the OTC is mentioned as legal, fact is also that there is "no law that expressly says so". In other words this way of trade can be interpreted as legal or illegal as well, which means that the authorities can act differently, ie that all traders are not equal in the eyes of the law.

Although this news is generally positive, it should be taken with a certain amount of caution for reason we are talking about China here. Their attitude toward cryptocurrency is still fairly unclear, what is legal today does not mean that it will be the same tomorrow.
I understand but as long as they have no regulations or law imposed against it or against the use of it then it is still consider legal unless they have issued a written decree to restrict or prohibit then will only be considered illegal.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After two years of legal battles, The Supreme Court ruled for a crypto exchange on: June 06, 2019, 07:49:24 PM
What a great news for the crypto community of Israel, and the  owner itself,Its a good start for the exchange that they have approval from the bank this exchange will surely get attention after this and will become a bigger exchange compared to what is it now.
Its not only that, knowing that it owns an account in the bank will also mean stability and will gain more trusts from investors. It will be the beginning to a more stable and mass adoption of cryptocurrency. The PM must have perceived the future through crypto.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: June 06, 2019, 07:38:58 PM
Wow! God bless your heart folk. This a nice and unique idea since not everyone is willing to donate in cash and there are also those who want to help but they have only crypto. I bet there will be gold-hearted crypto holders that will be interested in this mission of yours. It will not just help the hungry homeless but will also help boost the use of crypto. Good luck.
