How strong Djokovic is, after losing the first set like the previous matches he immediately took three sets with convincing numbers, I bet on 9.5 overs in the first set and under 41.5.

That's how Djokovic are in this tournaments, it seems that he is willing to drop a set and then just overwhelm his opponent, the last 3 match of his has this pattern of dropping one set.

I got the Over 35.5 so I'm good. In the ladies, it was unpredictable, Raducanu upsets  Bencic and then Sakkari over Pliskova.
3222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 08, 2021, 01:43:43 PM

I'm also surprised that the management is also dragging this drama too long. They are not going to get the best or max deals for a player that couldn't shoot.

Perhaps no team is really taking the bait and that's why Sixers doesn't want to trade Ben and get B-players. But they are asking too much for a trade so it's a lose-lose situation for Sixers and Ben himself.
We cannot tell for sure but they probably passed on a lot of decent deals just to get the max offer. It will become a lose-lose for them if they prolong this ordeal. I think Ben's trade value will continue diminish as they approach the deadline.
They sure have a plan before the deadline, they are just looking for the best trades for now, and only if they find one will they will release Ben.

I think Ben Simmons is one of the best players in the NBA despite having bad performance in the last playoffs, but that was the only time where he struggle, prior to that, he was really contributing and especially in the regular season, so I believe the problem was the implementation of the game plan that time, it's not him as the coach knows his strength and weaknesses.

In defense of Ben, yes he is really good player, but that performance was really blown out of proportions. He really struggled in that series. Regular season vs playoff though is very different, that's why it was highlighted because he is doing very well in the regular season, even carry the team when Joel was absent. But in the playoff, it was very different, that he himself wanted to be traded.

And now there are rumours that the Cavs are interested of him. Ben Simmons trade rumors: Cavaliers still trying to acquire 76ers' All-Star, per report.
3223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto dip today on: September 08, 2021, 12:51:36 PM
As expected 10-15% dip happened to almost all coins.Im surprised to see XRP 15% dip, btc only 10%.

It's because BTC is the prime mover and everyone is still dependent on its price movement. So it dip today and the rest of the altcoins followed.

How far will it go down ? Huh

No one can really say exactly how far this dip will go, it dip at $43k, then rebounded to $47k for a few hours and now at mid $46k. So maybe we can see it trading sideways again as it is the case in the last couple of months and then bounce back again to $50k. So let's see how it pan out, but I would say that we are still in the bullish sentiments. This is just a minor set back and a correction due to several news.
3224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice 101 on: September 08, 2021, 12:19:10 PM
Wagering in dice can be a difficult aspect in dice games as newbies who don’t know how to set the wagering mechanism can lead to house advantage, which always causes constant losing dice.I hard my gambling mentor set the wagering number and amount to bet on that have steadily won in dice and place games. So a say dice skills are possible with the right instructor.

It's not that difficult to bet on dice.

Trial and error I guess will be your best strategy, see how it works for you, the amount of bet and then x number of spins. As dice is base on pure luck, so you have to put in mind that you will win some or lose some. If you think that you can always win, then that is a your perception of yours in gambling. Even your mentor will tell you that and for sure he has gone a lot of losing as well.
3225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin fall need a reason? on: September 08, 2021, 11:25:58 AM
Bitcoin fell sharply today, and then the media issued a number of bad news. Although it is not known whether it is directly related to the decline, the market sentiment is not good.

On the contrary, I think the market sentiments is still good, if you have been in the market for so long, you will understand how the news will affect the price.

When falling, people like to pay attention to negative news and when rising, pay attention to good news to find a reason for rising.

Of course, that is normal, we always look for reasons why the price is going down, attributed it to FUD and whales manipulating the price, to trading bots etc. Again, this is part of the market and it moves based on it, same when the price is going up as well. So if I'm a newbie, I will perhaps just buy in this dip and then hold, easy peasy.

Next match (Fernandez, Annie) vs (Sabalenka, Aryna) placing my bet for Fernandez with 4.50 odds, don't know what is going to happen, but Fernandez is going to beat Sabalenka I'm sure.

I'm in the opposite camp. I feel Aryna Sabalenka has the energy and enthusiasm to take her to the finals.

If I recall correctly, she paired with Ash Barty in a Women's doubles (before Wimbledon) taking out that particular competition.

2021: World No. 1 in doubles & Australian Open doubles title; World No. 2 in singles & first Grand Slam singles semifinals

I'm with you here, I think Sabalenka can prevail, as she has the tools and experience.

It's unfortunate that Alcaraz-Garfia will lose this way, I have given him the chance to win against FAA and it will be very close. But maybe he extended himself physically to reach this age, and it's not a good sign that at a very young age, he is already prone to injuries.
3227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 06, 2021, 03:26:38 AM
Tiafoe vs Felix Auger, I put a bet on Tiafoe -1.5, and this game will probably last four sets at least as Felix is trying to tie the score 1-1 in the second.

It was FAA all the way, when I saw him winning in 3rd set in a tie break, I said that Tiafoe is done psychologically, he fought very hard in that set to win, but FAA was in a different level. I know that he is also inconsistent, but today FAA was above level of his performance.

@blue Snow - Alcaraz was touted to be the next Rafa, because his coach is Rafa's uncle that guided him early. But yeah, he could be a hybrid of Sampras and Rafa and that is a different player. Bright future for this kid.

Matteo Berrettini advances at the Us Open, landing in the round of 16 (vs. Otte). In New York, the n.8 of the ranking defeated in the third round the Belarusian Ilya Ivashka, n.53 of the ranking. Berrettini won in 5 sets. Don't ask me why but this guy in my opinion could reach the final and even win. I will place a pretty bold bet on him winning US Open this year! Reaching the final is @15.

Yeah, I think that Berrettini is one bread of players that can play both surfaces, clay and grass or any other fast surfaces. Good luck with your bet, he seems to be a long shot but who knows. Berrettini will face Otte next, I think he can a good chance to win here and advance to QF.

Broosksby - another kid who is on the roll and good win for him against Karatsev. So he is the underdog, but I was able to squeeze some bet on him.

FAA vs Tiafoe, hard to predict this one but might go for 4 or even 5 sets.
3229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 05, 2021, 09:39:03 AM
Also, after KD left, it was a complete rebuild by the GSW, maintaining only their big 3, Curry, Thompson and Green. The rest of the championship team are now gone, maybe except for Andre Iguodala, who is a returning player. Curry was back last year, showing flashes and still at his prime, become the scoring champion, but was eliminated and didn't make it to the playoffs.

But with Klay Thompson back in the team, I think they can make it in this year playoff, but going to the finals will be very difficult as there are a lot of good teams in the West.
Don't forget about Andrew Wiggins. I think he will be better this time if ever the splash brothers will show him how it's done. Those two are scary when they are hot and can be contagious. They could pull Wiggins into being more motivated to win the game rather than just playing around.

Yes, I'm not forgetting about Wiggins, he already proven himself last year, maybe just another increase in his performance and definitely he will be a big factor, big 3 + Wiggins.

Will they be called splash triplets if ever he showed consistency in his game?  Grin I wish Thompson will be back on his old game and not be mentally affected by two consecutive injuries. He was suppose to start the season but was blown by a ruptures Achilles tendon. Reports tell that he may not make a 2021-2022 season debut but possibly in January.

That's the problem, they already have a big 3 already, and Wiggins I would say is also inconsistent last year. That's why I said that if he can elevate his game with Klay on the line, GSW could surprise us in the western conference. As long as Klay can play next season, it will be fine, and hopefully he is back and recovered 100%.
3230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here’s what traders expect now that Bitcoin price rallied back to $50K on: September 05, 2021, 08:43:13 AM
IMO the market is in very undecided state now. On one hand the rate of growth has slowed down, and when that happens a downside movement becomes quite likely. On the other hand, Bitcoin just established itself above the psychological $50,000 level which is quite bullish. I think it's very likely that there will be a bit more upside movement, maybe $53-54,000, and then a new test of support.

Probably there is a lot of liquidation going on when we touch base the psychological $50k level that's why it seems that it's not gaining momentum and somewhat slow down. And it seems that there is a tug of war on both direction.

But we are still in the bullish phase, just very slow though and grinding everyday. Nevertheless, once this run goes again, $53k-$54 could be slice like a butter. Meaning it won't stop and those barriers and resistance line will be broken easy.
3231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Warrington vs Lara II -Sept 4 on: September 05, 2021, 07:51:40 AM
Damn, wasn't expected a draw on this fight.

Warrington still can't beat Lara, he's scared so he do headbutts to save from Lara's punch Grin If there's no accident big cut on Lara's face, Lara will win with Unanimous decision because we can see how Lara dominating the fight. I hope there's a rematch of this fight, a draw decision isn't make both boxer and viewers feel satisfied.

This is a disappointing match for both fighters and there's a possibility of a third match but it should not be immediate I see Lara winning the fight because he is connecting and Josh is hurting from those punches, this things happen when both fighters are engaging and coming and going inside, if the cut happens beyond fourth round they will go to the scorecard, but it's not, hopefully, they meet again we love fighters who are not afraid to engage.

I'm not seeing an immediate rematch base on the eye injury that Lara suffered:

It's deep just under his eyelid, might require a lot of stitches to close it and more time to heal. And it could pave the way for Lara to have soft tissues on that area, so he might become a bleeder.

While Josh is still fresh obviously in this fight and possible to ask his manager to look for fighters before the end of the year to keep him busy. While Lara needs to sit out the rest of the year and would require medical clearance before he can fight again.
3232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 05, 2021, 07:22:53 AM
I heard the news that Oscar Valdez was tested as covid positive. Although they say that the fight will not be postponed but i wonder that only few days are left in the fight and i hope Oscar Valdez is healthy enough to be available for this match.

Oscar Valdez-Robson Conceicao fight to proceed despite positive test

Kindly read the article that you posted, there's no mentioned of covid-19.

What the articles says that they are going to proceed despite Oscar Valdez testing positive for a ban substance and not covid-19 related.

Next time be careful of posting articles that you haven't read at all.

And it's obvious that if you are covid-19 positive, you will not be allowed to fight.

His A sample came positive and then the B sample as well, meaning the ban substance is already in his system. We don't know if this is the first time he has taken it or not, but yeah this could leave a bad taste for fans and boxers as well. Perhaps his team failed to take into consideration the cycle that's why they are caught red handed by the governing bodies.

^^ I bet on Rublev vs Tiafoe, Unfortunately, I have Rublev winning, so it's a bad bet for me.

After the Tsitsipas lost I thought that there will be no surprises anymore, but I was wrong.

Probably the "safe" bet is Djokovic vs Nishikori or Medvedev vs Evans, but who knows.

Alcaraz Garfia vs Peter Gojowczyk, I do love to see Alcaraz continue to win and see how far he can go in this very tough tournament, lots of promises for this kid, still 18 but already beaten a top player in Tsitsipas.
3234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 04, 2021, 10:40:49 AM
~
But all of a sudden, the Warriors seem to be one of the underestimated teams after their falling short for a number of seasons.
It's not all of a sudden when the Warriors have been on the decline after KD left the team. I'm not underestimating them but I really think there are at least four more teams that's better than them in the West at the moment (even with Curry and Thompson back healthy).

~
Clippers are silent and just moved players once for Eric Bledsoe. I think they are building chemistry instead of rebuilding the team which is a great idea.
I was hoping they sign Marc Gasol from Lakers. He and Kahwi had a good connection back in Toronto during their title run.

3235  Economy / Economics / Re: What could make a hacker return stolen $600m crypto on: September 04, 2021, 09:56:03 AM
Probably morals or just the thrill of solving a complex puzzle which is represented by the company of Poly Network. There are other reasons but most of them are financials, not to mention that the hacker wanted to demonstrate his power to the company and directly telling them that they can't do anything if he finds sone vulnerabilities and probably the dudes too scared of going to jail knowing how deplorable going to that is.

Not sure if he has the moral compass to return the loot. He could have told the project themselves ahead of the hacking and shows the vulnerabilities of their application. With that there is no hacking at all and everything will not blown out of proportions. So to make the matter worst, the hackers could spent time in jail because that stealing. But he avoided it by returning everything and getting $500k bounty instead. So everything ends good, and lessons are learned here
3236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 04, 2021, 08:34:32 AM
If he is going to make accusations he should have done that when they are making a deal, not when the fight is progressing, he just wants to annoy Canelo, which I think is a cheap trick he can thrash talk him but accusing of taking an enhancement drug is very personal and putting Canelo in a bad light, whatever strategy he employs, he will have a tough time beating Alvarez.

I agree. The best strategy for Plant would be to keep a low profile, and avoid provoking Canelo. Trash talk never works in the ring, as we have seen from numerous cases earlier. All that said, I am not sure whether Plant made the statements on his own. Sometimes the organizers want cheap publicity and they ask the fighters to make such controversial statements. IMO, I don't think that it is fair to blame Canelo for the positive test from Oscar Valdez. That said, Alvarez tested positive for Clenbuterol in 2018, which he claims to have come from eating contaminated meat.

Right, and now that he has Canelo's attention, it will be very bad for Caleb for bringing this as this is provoking Canelo. Alvarez has seen a lot and for sure he was not affected by it. And worst this can be his final motivation to really put a punishment on Caleb's big mouth. I'm seeing the best version of Canelo is this fight and I will not be surprised if the fight doesn't last a distance. So Caleb better be prepared now that he uses this strategy that will backfire on him.
3237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just in case on: September 04, 2021, 08:08:27 AM
When people talks about diversity in crypto space they only point at big projects and small projects combined but no one ever talk about their life savings, I've seen people putting all they have into crypto and yes they have more than 5 coins in their portfolio but is this the smartest move?

Personally I think the smartest move is to have some funds offline as well, if you know what diversity means then you should be smart enough bro know that nothing is guaranteed, have some money 💰💰 offline and some online (crypto and other), putting all your eggs in one basket is bad and too much of everything is also bad

There's nothing bad if we make a good plan in carrying out investments, the crypto space is often said or described about large projects or small projects, because that's how the crypto space works and gives results for people who work on it.

It's not wrong if you also have offline and online money, this can be combined both in looking for maximum value, which makes us stupid when both can not be used properly at some stage of either result.
You don't get it, many newbies use all they have to invest in crypto, they forget to live and have a life in the process, crypto investment rule is never invest more than you can afford to lose but for some they don't care, I'm just saying while running to make money we shouldn't forget to breath

It's because on how crypto is being advertised by mainstream and crypto media.

Lots of news coming out saying that this x person have invested y amount and returns Z profit.

Or one family sell everything to invest on crypto and then travel around the world.

So it's a double standard, but one thing though, if you made a mistake here, then you still have chances to go back and re-invest but don't make the same mistakes again. And as you go along, you will gain that needed experience as the market works in cycle, bullish and bearish.
3238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: September 03, 2021, 12:38:53 PM
^^ Yes, both is pressured, Kambosos to proved that he is a good and worthy challenger and he can back up this trash talking, and Lopez demonstrate that he is a pound for pound, after winning against Loma. And that's why this fight is really exciting and may the best man win here, although the ML is one Teofimo Lopez as he is the defending champion.
3239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 03, 2021, 10:58:49 AM
I expected Billy Joe Saunders to perform better, as he had an unbeaten record. But he couldn't even last the full 12 rounds. And that was just three months ago. Canelo is still fresh from that victory. The last time when someone lasted for full 12 rounds against Canelo was in 2020, when Callum Smith (also from the United Kingdom) lost by UD. And before that it was Daniel Jacobs in 2019. Much was talked about Sergey Kovalev, but he got knocked out. Given this record, I don't have much hope for Caleb Plant.

I think the same and Team Caleb could have the same speculation with us as their ward is doing a lot of psych war and talking non-sense, maybe he thinks that he could irk Canelo and could not focus on the fight lol.

In this Canelo's current division, he could sweep this one and I'm thinking that he would be having a hard time campaigning in the LH division.

That's what they really wanted to accomplished here, sweep the division, and Caleb is the only man standing between him and cleaning the division. There are notable boxers as well in 168 lbs, just climbing up the ladder but I don't think they have the tools for now to beat this version of Canelo.

LH will be a new territory for him, he tested it once with an old Kovalev, but it seems they didn't like what they are seeing. Bivol and Beterviev will be waiting for Canelo if he decided to move up to 175 lbs.

LHW is still a good division for Canelo to conquer and I think he can still make that weight, it's not that hard for him seen he is going up in weight class. And for sure he can still carry his power, we have seen it against Kovalev, a bigger fighter than him and yet he was able to beat him.

Bivol and Beterviev is good champion, legitimate LHW, but I'm thinking that Canelo can beat any of this two easy.
3240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which game should I focus? on: September 03, 2021, 10:13:41 AM
I have been gambling for a while and I don't still get the consistency that I love.

I have different games already, both skilled-based and luck-based types of games, I was told that I should focus on skilled-based games as there's a chance to be successful to develop my skills as a gambler.

So I like to ask, have you ever thought of making money in gambling consistently? If so, what type of gambling did you focus on?

Yeah, through sports betting, have good days and bad days. I'm not into skilled-based games like poker, but maybe if you take some time and really focus then you have a better chance to become skilled and earn good money out of it.

So for the the two logical choices are sports betting, sports that you can analyse because you have been following it for many years and are very familiar with the players.
