3261  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about owning and selling your content on social media? on: January 14, 2022, 03:24:39 AM
Does this appeal to you?
Please share your thoughts

that really depends on what you mean and which social media's you are talking about. If you are talking about social medias like Facebook or similiar, you may find that a lot of content is being stolen and its basically nearly impossible to track down and do anything against the culprits. So owning is a big problem. And selling something anyone can steal anyway.... Well... Thats a problem too.
3262  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the best ways to choose a casino on: January 14, 2022, 03:22:11 AM
Well, the firstmost and most obvious step for choosing the best online casino (assuming you mean online crypto casino) is to look at this forum and especially take a look through the scam accusations subforum. Anything sketchy will be reported there, definitely. Next you can take a look at what people are saying on the ann thread of the online casino and see if theres anything bad. We also have lists of most popular and trustworthy casinos in this forum. Just take 10 minutes to search.
3263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: January 14, 2022, 03:19:12 AM
As far as government power goes, 1 government alone could not do anything, except perhaps cutting off the country from outside internet like North Korea or China, for example. But if every government in the world wanted to stop Bitcoin, all together they probably could do it. But then again, when has such a worldwide cooperation ever happened? Thats why Bitcoin will stay... Because too much corruption is what fuels the most incorruptable money.
3264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always have an exit strategy on: January 13, 2022, 08:21:24 AM
I truly believe the best exit strategy is to exit from FIAT and forever hodl bitcoin Cheesy

Its best to jump the fiat ship while it is still sinking and climb aboard the crypto ship. But if you absolutely need to save your money because you cannot afford short term losses, I guess just make a trading strategy and calculate a certain percentage that you are willing to lose on a trade. That will be your exit strategy. Although, as I said, I would not recommend it, as exiting causes more losses than one might think...
3265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My bitcoin achievement on: January 13, 2022, 08:18:15 AM
Is being a lab scientist doesn't give you enough salary?

Well, at least you did the right thing to invest your money while the price is still low and you did gain your profit during bull run. I'm surprised you didn't quit your job as most of the people that who has some testimony here quit their main source of income just to do full time trading in Bitcoin. I bet most of them regret those decision they made since trading is not for everyone.

Anyway, congratulations on your success.

No, scientists, even with fancy PhD degrees get paid really poorly unless they work for industry research and development. Academics does not have a lot of funds and most scientists are expected to be paid peanuts because its very hard to get job and scientists care more about the science than the money. This are both facts that are abused and exploited by the people who hire them.
3266  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: January 13, 2022, 08:11:17 AM
Its a very nice table. Perhaps you can add more details about how they use the KYC data and the data security? Are they using third party providers for KYC, for example?
Questions like that are important because Know-Your-Customer verification methods can be quite the double edged sword when it comes down to it. And I mean not only for gambling or other fund - related accounts but also for basically anything. Once you connect your identity to something, that becomes something you cannot delete. While KYC protects you legally, in case something happens where you need to prove the funds belong to you, it can also be used against you. So whether its good or not, is hard to say. But it has to be proven to be secure.
3267  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where can I sell my crypto gambling account? on: January 13, 2022, 08:08:23 AM
Where can I sell crypto gambling accounts?
I have two accounts, one is BC.GAME VIP level 30 account and the other is Betfury.io level 6 account

I would be very careful about selling any crypto gambling accounts because some of the online casinos do not look kindly on such things. If I were you, I would read the account conditions from the online casino website before attempting to do anything that may or may not get your account banned, as well as your funds frozen. It happens more than people think and I myself would not risk it.

You are right, in this case there may be a case that is very possible, if you are successful selling your account, when the new owner of your account may ask you for some kind of document, maybe a quick photo, because that's what BInance does, How would they do in that case? This would be very in bad taste if you could sell the account and have the new owner block it, because that can also happen, if you sell, try to make it to a person you know, who knows who you are, where to find you, you never know what it might be occur.

Whenever it comes to things like Know-Your-Customer verification methods and other things that connect your identity to certain accounts and can be used to link certain wallets or internet pages, that makes selling your crypto gambling accounts a really risky business, not only for the seller but also for the buyer. If the buyer does something sketchy with your KYC-linked profile, it will really cause you some damage....
3268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: January 12, 2022, 07:23:51 PM
The whole purpose of cryptocurrency is to be free of any governmental regulation, and we have achieved that goal.

The government is a bit more powerful than you can imagine, I have to say. Decentralised or not, if the governments of the planet went full-on China dictatorship mode, we would find it very hard to find value in Bitcoin, as the governments would find a way to make it impossible to buy or sell anything with it, legally. And they would make miners illegal and that would scare people off too.
3269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: January 12, 2022, 07:21:38 PM
I've read a few articles on the web which indicated you could get rich with just 0.01 BTC. At first, it seemed crazy to me considering that Bitcoin is still below $1m. But then it started to make sense after knowing that the pioneer cryptocurrency was designed with deflation in mind. Each halving had a positive effect in BTC's price, so one would guess the next one will lead us to a BTC worth more than $100k. To become a millionaire with 0.01 BTC, the price of one Bitcoin must be $100m. Prices are still volatile, so I'm having my doubts whenever I'd really become rich with just 0.01 BTC or not.

What do you think? Is it really possible to become rich with 0.01 BTC in the future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

You could have asked that very same question about 100 BTC just a few years ago when it was barely worth anything. People would have scoffed and laughed at you for even bringing up such a preposterous idea. But nobody would have thought we would see a price of over 60000 USD on the price chart. I think people still underestimate Bitcoin. I think 0.1BTC can definitely make you rich in the future.
3270  Economy / Gambling / Re: VR online casinos? on: January 12, 2022, 07:19:19 PM
You really have to consider the extra costs you are paying with the metaverse, I have not really researched it all that much by myself but as I understand it, you need to invest a bit of money like in VR equipment as so on. And as far as these things go, the metaverse is really a bit too new not to have any bugs or exploitable code that might lose you your money. Keep an eye out and see how it develops-
Therefore, in my mind, I wonder how the impact? I am optimistic that gambling in online casinos will still have greater popularity than metaverse-based gambling. Not only in terms of huge fees, but also in terms of how we invest in the casinos available in the metaverse. One of them is paying for space, drinks, and clothes for our avatar, and all of that is not free on the Metaverse.

Honestly speaking I think we once went through a metaverse stage. Do you remember when MMO RPG  games became a big thing? Remember "World of Warcraft"? That really exploded but now? Now its all cooled off and MMORPG is not really all that popular, if even it is a little bit. Even if Metaverse becomes a bigger thing, I really do not see it staying all that popular for long. Real life is just way better, in the end.
3271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling addiction?! on: January 12, 2022, 07:16:21 PM
In real life, I have a good friend that is totally addicted to gambling/sportsbet and he has really no intentions to quit gambling even if he lose a lot of money each year (no he is not "rich").

Why some people get addicted and others no?
People get addicted with drugs because it's like math. If you smoke cigarette .... after a while your body will crave for nicotine.

This is a question that I have a lot of time in my mind while following this section/reading history of other players.
Despite I am placing bets since a while I am able to not bets without any doubts for several months.
Sometime "I feel better" if I don't place bets Grin nor I place bets.
I have my opinion about this argument but can't fit with all players / users addicted.

.. What happens with gambling?

Please post here in this topic your (serious) opinion about gambling addiction.
Topic self-moderated to avoid spam/useless comment. Angry

People get addicted to many things. There are people addicted to eating, people addicted to drugs, people addicted to bad behaivors. There are many ways to get addicted to basically anything. It all has to do with the way your brain gets rewired after performing an activity that makes the brain keep giving out too much happy signals (Dopamine)
So everytime you do something that makes your brain think its supposed to dump out dopamine, it makes you happy.
3272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is down on Kazahstan, Bitcoin Hashrate drooped, Price affected? on: January 11, 2022, 04:45:42 PM
I think we are going to see a nice bounce back now that the internet has been restored in Kasachstan. But then again, the hashrate did not really drop all that much, so mostly the drop in price, as far as I see it, was due to a mass panic about the hashrate dropping that turned out to be nothing drastic. As always, these things are based on fud and its never worth selling your coin due to such circumstances.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: January 11, 2022, 04:43:54 PM

I agree.

I don't like fiat either but still force on using it because we doesn't have a choice since the Government still uses it for corruption and of course manipulating the economy that leads to further conflicts like wars, etc... The future of gambling industry won't stick to the old style for sure because like us using fiat, they won't have a choice if fiat is gonna be phased out in the future, surely they will be force to adopt the latest form of payment which is cryptocurrency or electronic payment system.

That is exactly correct. If anything the whole matter is not what or how but rather when. Its going to happen, sooner or later crypto will become the next generation of money. It really should have happened sooner, we have been using the current monetary systems for too long. They are outdated and have been so, ever since the age of internet came. I cannot say how much crypto will stop corruption and wars but it will definitely help!
One of the only constants when it comes to human civilization is that change is always coming, and the ones that adapt the fastest to those changes are the ones that get the most benefits out of it, one example of this is bitcoin, there are still many people that resist the use of bitcoin and they do not want to adapt their ways as they think bitcoin is not going to last, however those that have adopted bitcoin the fastest are the ones that have obtained the most benefits, and this is a principle that applies to all markets and not only to this one.

Well you are partly correct, I say only partly because change is everywhere and adopting every change is not really a good strategy because most change ends up in a dead end and brings nothing revolutionary or innovative. So the adopters that do find something worthwhile and adopt it early, are really just lucky. Thats all it is. Luck. A lot of people got lucky and invested in Bitcoin when it costs mere cents.
3274  Economy / Gambling / Re: VR online casinos? on: January 11, 2022, 04:40:22 PM
The purpose of a "virtual reality" game is for a person to experience an immersive reality of seeing/experiencing the fantasy world of magic, combat, war, etc. That is why, most VR games are associated with shooting, sword fighting or magic. Creating a VR game that focuses purely on gambling can be a bit mundane and boring to begin with as it can be easily done if you would just visit a physical casino yourself.
Despite the benefits that the Metaverse brings to gambling, what do you think is the worst impact the Metaverse has had on our gambling lives? will people be easily attracted to migrate to visit the metaverse-based casino gambling? Most likely so far it will not be too significant because the level of effectiveness of the Metaverse at all is only for those who have a large cost.

Keep an eye out and see how it develops-
3275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me out on: January 11, 2022, 04:37:23 PM
What is the best crypto investment advice you can give someone who makes 600$ per month from other job? I'm presently in this situation and due to the unstable crypto market we in I don't know what to advice this person, even 2022 looks bearish to me, help me out

Basically the veterans of this forum will always give you the same advice over and over again. This advice is to buy the dip, do not trade on emotions, do not sell for a loss, and quite frankly, just hodl. If you want to make an investment, you do not keep flip flopping back and forth. You make the investment and consider the money gone, for years, at the least. Come back in a few years, reap the rewards.
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Gambling on: January 10, 2022, 11:30:09 PM
Well, I believe the cons of gambling are very clearly outlined and quite universal for everyone. You lose your money, your house, your car, your families respect, your own dignity and so on... The pros? Well the pros are that it is fun if you can control yourself (which is harder than you believe). But other than fun, I would not think there are any other pros. The tiny chance of making big bucks is not a pro in my book.
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teaching your kids to gamble. on: January 10, 2022, 11:28:04 PM
As far as gambling goes I think a painful lesson of losing money or something similiarly precious is a very good way to teach your kids not to risk things they do not want to lose. It also teaches them how hard it is to bring lady luck to the table, especially with things that have low probabilities. But otherwise, no. Gambling can have the opposite effect on children and they might end up liking it. I would keep them away from it.
3278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin truly moving forward? on: January 10, 2022, 11:25:48 PM
Hmm... Good question. As far as Bitcoin goes, it has the most powerful crypto community behind it. This means a lot of people working 24/7 to improve Bitcoin in all aspects and making sure that Bitcoin is and always will be ahead of all the Altcoins. One day we might lose interest in Bitcoin but I really doubt it. Bitcoin is and always will be the peoples favorite. Because its the original. It gave us freedom.
3279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ? on: January 10, 2022, 11:23:27 PM
As far as Decentralised Finance goes, Bitcoin is not really suited for that. It has been lagging behind for a while now. We may see some changes in the near or far future that might change that but as things are now, Bitcoin does not have the smart contract capabilities for DeFi in the same way as some altcoins and blockchains like the binance smart chain. I would just hodl the Bitcoin and not panic.
3280  Economy / Gambling / Re: VR online casinos? on: January 10, 2022, 01:37:37 AM
I believe the Metaverse has a promising future for gambling in particular and I am confident that it will revolutionize the online gambling scene.
Metaverse gambling seems like a gimmick currently to be honest since majority of the gamblers will always prefer the traditional version over the virtual one. It's like FIAT vs crypto basically.

However, this trend could actually reverse if there were cheaper ways to access metaverse gambling which I doubt will ever happen.

Metaverse itself seems like a gimmick. Why would anyone care about the Metaverse when we already had it way before? To me it seems like a marketing scheme from Zuckerberg to make something popular. Same with 3D TVs, remember those? I don't know why we pretend like this is something new and modern.

VR gambling sounds interesting but as mentioned, it is really complicated to code. I prefer the real world version. Its way better.

I certainly agree with this. Metaverse is just being carried by the hype and fame of its creator. It could succeed but I don't think it will be firm in the long run. I haven't heard about VR gambling, to be honest, but it sounds great, and would also love to try it in the future. This kind of new development is what we need these days.

Mark Zuckerberg and his Facebook marketing cronies really are trying to push the Metaverse marketing as much as they can but in the end, its still just something completely unnecessary and probably will fail soon. The reason why I say probably is because I think that Zuckerberg is betting on his fanbase to carry the metaverse and build more innovation in that space. So lets see what they can come up with.
