3301  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER USER W2Coin DO NOT TRUST btctalkaccounts.com on: November 29, 2017, 11:29:30 PM
The DT member are the rightful person to paint his account red but you need to be reassure if the accusation is truth before doing that. However, I checked the guy account and I found out that Madam Lauda has already gave him red yesterday.

I have looked up the advertised URL on the forum and found it linked to the other accounts reported here.

The user has created a topic advertising his service in the Marketplace/Goods board as well as in the Marketplace/Auction board, and Marketplace/Digital Goods/Invites & Account sections.
All topics were locked, preventing anyone from posting. There was nothing beside the OP with the advertisement.
These are the sole contributions from that user to the forum.

User account is linked to other accounts that have already scammed people in the past.
In the end, he scams people willing to purchase accounts. I do not encourage account trading, but scamming is wrong.

The rest is a simple "connect the dots" game.  Smiley

Can a DT member paint him red ?
The worst is that he just locks his topic right after OP so no one can reply there. Sad

Tongue
3304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: copy of my wallet.dat on: November 29, 2017, 08:03:46 AM
Yes, with copies you are safe, but you should keep something in mind.

When you spend BTC, let's say you have 1 BTC and send 0.25 BTC out.
The remaining 0.75 BTC is sent to another address of the wallet, that can be generated on the go.
It means that you have 0.75 BTC in this wallet.dat

Now if you erase it and try to load a copy, you'll find 0 BTC, not 0.75.
Why ? Because the key to the 0.75 was ONLY on that first wallet.dat, since the address was just generated.

So be careful and you should make backups of your wallet.dat after each outgoing transaction, just to be sure to keep the change. Cheesy

3307  Economy / Economics / 100 bits = $1 USD on: November 28, 2017, 09:31:00 PM
I thought this thought is kinda amazing and felt like sharing. Smiley

100 bits = 10,000 satoshis.
So .. 100 sat = $0.01 USD ..

Who knows how many USD you'll need to afford a single satoshi in the future. Cheesy
What about faucets ? It's amazing. And Bitcoin is not even 10 years old ...

... Just my 2 sats.
3308  Economy / Gambling / Re: CHANGE YOUR LIFE on: November 28, 2017, 06:09:55 PM
You should go to our website , which is going to be active soon.

Okay.
If your service consists of a nonexistant page for now, why advertise it ?
How is an nonexistant page going to "CHANGE MY LIFE" ?
3309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $40,000 in 2018? on: November 28, 2017, 01:39:08 PM
It's going to need an awful lot of good news from now to then to get anywhere near it, that's over half a trillion dollars.

Either that ... Or a holy mother of all cows krach within the conventional financing system.  Grin
Ever heard of bail ins ?

When this happens ... I can't even imagine. Smiley
What if the 1929 krach would happen nowadays ? And what consequences on bitcoin ?
3310  Economy / Gambling / Re: CHANGE YOUR LIFE on: November 28, 2017, 01:06:48 PM
You send your ETH to the Smart Contract, then you choose your numbers. When the set Block appears and last 6 digits of the next 6 blocks create winning number. If you chose those numbers smart contract will send you prize.

Our machine is called Blockchain  Wink

Allright. Let's say I want to take a spin.
How should I proceed ? I see no informations whatsoever in the OP.

Can you please explain a bit more what are we supposed to do ?
3311  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitstock.pw | A new bitcoin gambling game on: November 28, 2017, 01:04:52 PM
Why do we need to register to see what the game looks like ? Sad

I didn't pass the registration form. Maybe one suggestion would be to add automated account creation but I guess you're not there yet ! Cheesy

Good luck with your game. Smiley
3312  Economy / Gambling / Re: CHANGE YOUR LIFE on: November 28, 2017, 10:37:40 AM
So, if I understand it correctly, we are supposed to send you coins and then expect you send more back to some of us ?
What do you base your decisions on ? On loto, there is a big bowl containing numbers drawn at random.
What do you offer ?

(by the way, fyi, the machine used in Euromillions is called "Stresa" because it stresses a whole continent while drawing. Cheesy)
3313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: November 28, 2017, 08:55:53 AM
Now, if I place a 0.06BTC there's a 50.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.12BTC bet,  0.505*0.505= 25.5% chance I'll lose
If I lose, I place a 0.24BTC bet, 0,255025*0,505= 12.88% chance
If I lose, I place a 0.48BTC bet, 0,128787625*0,505= 6.5% chance I'll lose

If I lose, I have a total loss of 0.48+0.24+0.12+0.06 (+0.03) = 0.9BTC (+0.03)

Is it worth it?
Should I cut my losses o.o

Odds of me losing 20 bets in a row should be 1 : 860 000
Which, with me having 500k bets, doesn't sound very good

Hello iluvbitcoins,

Sorry for not reading the whole thread, but it seems like you got yourself trapped into the gambler's fallacy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy

Quote
The gambler's fallacy, also known as the Monte Carlo fallacy or the fallacy of the maturity of chances, is the belief that, if something happens more frequently than normal during some period, it will happen less frequently in the future, or that, if something happens less frequently than normal during some period, it will happen more frequently in the future (presumably as a means of balancing nature).

We humans, we need balance for stability. When some event happens, we believe it will somehow behave to make it right.
On the roulette wheel, it should be red and black alternating each spin, in a perfect world.

However things don't work that way.
You can look at probabilities (like your list of bets to place to make yourself whole) and be enticed to act.
But don't forget that each spin you take is ultimately a 50% chances to win roll.

The game don't care how much spins you've lost before.

IMO, this is dangerous to continue and you should stop your betting streak.
Just my 2 sats. Take care !
3314  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETCOIN.AG on: November 28, 2017, 08:46:22 AM
Nope!!! I wouldnt get a email FROM THEM saying they received my deposit if it was wrong!!!

If you do not try, odds are 100% to be a "No".
You shoud email them about your deposit.

If they reply, they acknowledge your deposit and that there has been an issue, anyway the ball is on their side in this case.
If they don't, it means they are selectively scamming people, which is not good.

Please email them and tell us then what happened. Smiley
3315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: warning - bitcoin futures. Get coins off exchanges ! on: November 28, 2017, 08:40:52 AM
People MUST get their coins off all exchanges!

Yes, that scenario is likely to happen, but why get all off exchanges ?
I have never been fond of keeping my holdings on exchanges.

Only the value of their BTC will change, not the fact that the BTC they hold on exchanges is theirs ?
Unless the exchange gets hacked, I miss to see the point of your advice.
3316  Economy / Services / Re: [Free] ★ yogg's free escrow service ★ Fast ★ Reliable ★ Secure on: November 28, 2017, 08:38:44 AM
I have been dealing with yogg for years, this user has my trust, good luck with escrow service, we need more trusted escrow'ers on this forum.

Thank you very much for the vouch and good wishes, squall1066 ! Smiley

3318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino You've ACTUALLY WON? on: November 28, 2017, 08:31:07 AM
I have won some at 777Coin Casino.
Back then when BTC was at $1k Cheesy

But, the gambling fun has worn out on me. Sad I won a few, then lost a lot.
If only I wouldn't gamble my BTC I'd be a millionnaire today haha

I assume it's not loaded, correct?
