3361  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Trade Fortress on: February 28, 2013, 01:56:00 AM
Resolution was offered, [...]
I see he now offered to pay the $300 fee to use judge.me after you made this comment about resolution. This seems strange as I offered to let him out of the contract for 12 BTC (out of the 27 I paid). I am willing to arbitrate.
I am offering to pay for legally binding arbitration. [...] I suggest judge.me.[...]
I accept your offer and choice (judge.me). Since you're paying the cost ($300).
It seems that unless I accept, I would definitely lose all 27BTC.
I am reluctant to use this service when there are no published cases, but it seems I have no other viable option for recovering my loss.

TradeFortress, are you going to arrange this?
3362  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for 200BTC for Startup Venture - Site's core functionality is built on: February 28, 2013, 01:40:50 AM
Hello,

I am looking for investors/business partners looking to take an equity stake in my business. The site has been in development for about 3 months and all core functionality is working correctly with strong security layers.

The business model is highly successful in other areas and I have modeled it exactly after how its is done.

I strongly believe it will be exceptionally successful here in the bitcoin community due to its simplicity and hunger for such a model.
It is not a traditional business (such as selling giftcards for BTC or along the lines of Mt.Gox) but rather a litlte unique Wink

I prefer finding an investor that is able to invest all 200 BTC at once. The money will be mainly used as cashflow for operations and the rest, marketing.

In return, I offer an equity stake or high % profit share. I will be the only one running the site. I will also provide very transparent accounting statements to demonstrate the use of your btc.

If interested, please send PM, I am only looking for people that are reputable members of the BTC community.
After demonstrating you have the investable assets, I will gladly skype with you and go through a demo of the site. I am sure you will see its potential when I do so Cheesy

-IamRichard

I don't think that's how it works. YOU show you have an idea, credibility and the know how to implement and run it for profit THEN we talk funds. Until then the treasure chest stays locked. Period.

3364  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Trade Fortress on: February 27, 2013, 11:19:12 PM
1. Notarized statements from your other "experts".
LOL, good one
Thanks for your comments. @MPT, I will pay for legally binding arbination. Sounds good?
I'm not sure what that is, but if a trustworthy programmer wants to look at your work, I'm sure they'd agree I deserve a full refund.
[...]Only one other person came forward with a similar claim, and neither his nor your testimony really convinces me of any wrongdoing on his part. Outside of that thread, the only other bad review is this one here. And like I said: it's an old thread posted by a confirmed scammer. Not very compelling evidence.
And from what I can tell, even if you're right, it's still not a scam: at worst it ends up as overpriced work.
Hopefully it was only the 3 of us who got scammed, but I have suspicions there are people who haven't reported it yet. Hopefully TF won't scam anyone else for a couple months but the amount of BTC he can pull in by pretending to do decent web-work is likely to make him continue, probably under a new name though.

After TF breached our contract for the last time by being far overdue and claiming the site was finished and able to correctly process BTC, I once again tested the site and found it non-functional per the agreed specs. Rather than continue to go back and forth with TF trying to get him to do work he is obviously incapable of doing, I contracted with another programmer to clean up the mess left by TF and finish the site.
TF obviously won't be getting another chance to finish my site.

Resolution was offered, you want to sling mud. Post proof, not hearsay or STFU. Pretty simple.
I think you need to be looked at as a possible scammer.

3365  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Trade Fortress on: February 27, 2013, 10:28:55 PM
I wouldn't trust the testimony in a necro'd thread of a confirmed scammer.
If it weren't for the numerous similar allegations, I would have doubts also. Have you read the tradefortress review thread?
After having dealt with this scammer firsthand and read the numerous other stories that recount almost the exact same modus operandi, it's a safe bet that he intends to continue scamming forum users with offers of programming services he is incompetent to perform.

How about more proof that hearsay? He is offering to make it work so let him or are you really like the Ebayers filing complaints just to get partial refunds because they can? Sorry but "I said, they said" doesn't cut it. Competitors CAN and WILL trash the competition for gain, I have experienced it personally.

Proof:
1. Notarized statements from your other "experts".
2. Let a third party agreed upon by both you and Tradefortress examine the product in question.
3. Find a solution
3366  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] XFX 6950 1GB on: February 27, 2013, 07:13:21 PM
Those are insanely overpriced. Cards that do more hashs sell for under 100$ and cards that are better for gaming sell for like 200$ new. Plus they aren't new and have been used for mining. You should gauge your price with actual value and not new egg -20%. (Note that video cards don't really drop in retail prices even when approaching EOL although their value decreases depending on competing releases for specific applications.

Sorry, I usually don't try to hurt a sellers thread but I believe they are overpriced so much that my advice should help you more than hurt.

Unless they have the double lifetime warranty and it's still good for a transfer, but yes, you have to factor in they were abused in mining. I tried to sell mine a few months ago and no one would touch them when I stated they were used for mining. I still have them and they are still mining perfectly.
3367  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $50 Paypal on: February 27, 2013, 06:42:04 PM
4x $50 Paypal, Ill send it to you via paypal BTC2

Advice:
You are thread posting sales/buys everywhere. This makes you look desperate, lenders don't like desperate. Desperation makes people do crazy things, like default. Chill out, get down to as few threads as possible and be patient.

This is what reality is all about

This is how loans are SUPPOSED to go.

3370  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 40 bitcoin loan on: February 26, 2013, 09:47:13 PM
so what? if i had lied and said i needed it to invest into my milion dollar company would you have lended it me then ? what matters is that you pay it back. and i think i have a decent enough track record here to proof that i do so.  the total amount of debt that people owe me here is over triple the amount i need... people lend money to junkies and gambling addicts but not to a honest working person? it isn't you guys paying for my vacation. its all the money that i already spent on the hotel bookings that is going to waste because i wont be able to afford a plane ticket during high season. thats why i need it NOW. if it wasn't for all those scammers here i'd be going there with double the budget i have now -_- and like i'm gonna scam people for 40 bitcoins. i'm in that sec investigation with pirate im not gonna myself into more trouble with all my personal details with that sec dude.

Should have planed ahead...... Face it, you're too lazy to even come up with a good scam. All we have is your word and that doesn't go far these days, we have had a lot of scammers "words" to repay that didn't even come close. Maybe you need to start collecting what is owed to you.
3371  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 40 bitcoin loan on: February 26, 2013, 09:33:53 PM
whatever dude. its people like you me that have nothing better to do than troll this forum that ruin it for legit lenders.  3% monthly is nowhere near what you could get in the real world.only thing that is left here are  people like me filled with  greed that are to stupid to fall into obvious scams with insane returns. i'm giving up this is not worth my time, i have been exposed.

I suggest living within your means.
3372  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 40 bitcoin loan on: February 26, 2013, 07:21:10 PM
noone? :x

6 months ago when i was a pretty active lender here people were fighting to fund pretty risk free  loan like this...

[WTB] Looking to buy BTC via long time verifed premier Paypal

I provide internet services and get paypal payment everyday.
I want to buy BTC using my paypal balance for a long term.
My paypal account is Verified Premier for a long time (several years old).
I pay from my own balance, not cc with price of mtgox current weighted avg.

Please pm me if you are interested.  I prefer any amounts from 5 to 50 BTC.

BTW, you are welcome to verify my paypal account according to

References? PP is the Devil you know.

Then I will keep it short.

"Fuck Bitches, Acquire Bitcoin, and thanks for the +1"

Good enough?

Works for me.
3375  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a Loan on: February 26, 2013, 05:45:44 AM
I've been to Nepal. As much of an experience as it is, there are better trips you can make for 2400usd. Also if you have to ask for a loan for the trip, you're doing it wrong. Nepal is a once in a lifetime experience and having a debt looming when you get back will kill that experience. I'm not gonna be a dick and flat out say no, but believe me man, don't try and make that trip happen if you don't have the money. Go when you can relax, learn, and live. Having that kind of debt during that trip goes against everything people who go for the right reasons believe in. That is my 2 pennies. Take it for what it is worth.

+1 -- Listen to this guy Smiley

awww, my first +1 on this forum....should I give an acceptance speech? lol

Better make it quick, this crowd is fickle Wink
3376  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a Loan on: February 26, 2013, 04:42:19 AM
Which is why there is the option to say "No thanks" to my loan request.

3377  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a Loan on: February 26, 2013, 04:31:32 AM
Credit card doesn't work in Nepal, a lot of the places do not even have credit card processors. Also my cc interest rate is higher than 10% V_V

Grab the cash before you go, eat the interest. Ya play ya pay. It looks like you want someone to take ALL the risk for your journey. CC makes ya repay, BTC loan you can skip out. Doesn't should like a win for anyone but you.
3378  Economy / Services / Re: John (Johnthedong)'s escrow service on: February 26, 2013, 03:42:42 AM
Update: It's been a busy week for escrowing. A total of almost 3500~BTC were escrowed in this week alone, and 2200BTC came from a single transaction.

I would recommend, highly.
3379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Would Someone Sell ASIC When They Can Make 100x More By Running Them? on: February 26, 2013, 02:57:50 AM
I'm pretty new to bitcoin mining, but I see ASIC coming, and they are selling 300 a batch and it takes them 6 months to make them... Now I don't understand why would you sell ASIC for bitcoins or cash? Assuming you sell ASIC for $1,500 of which probably $500 goes to your pocket, why would you want to do that? You can create ASIC and run it at 60Ghash and make the profit of the hardware in 2 days? In a month running 1 ASIC you can make 7k.

I just don't get why would people sell it? where's the profit? Am I missing something?

Use the search. It's been talked about to death already. Another thread is not needed. READ.
3380  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a Loan on: February 26, 2013, 01:54:21 AM
80 bitcoins. I am not poor myself but do not have that money right now.

I will have the money after 40 days because I will get paid before then. I am taking an unpaid vacation for the trip and my payday when I get back will be enough to repay the loan.

I have a credit card if that amounts to anything, I don't know what people want from me during this process.

Why not use your CC? You would be much better off.
