3381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know when to sell? on: November 28, 2017, 08:11:28 PM
Can i anybody put me through the basics of knowing when to sell and when to hold?...
I actually don't know much about market rise in demand and supply and it's affecting me in daily trade of cryptocurrency.

I think it would actually depend on what coin you're selling and the price value you got it for. To know when it's best to hold or get rid of it is depending on the profit you're getting when you would dispose it. It would also depend on how much would be acceptable for your own meter of the profit you want to get. Some people are satisfied with getting at least 20-50% of what they got it for, while others want some more.
3382  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be Taxed...... on: November 28, 2017, 07:56:25 PM
Hopefully this info is completely valid and signifies that crypto is recognized there. the future of another country will follow in his footsteps
Taxes can also help the state treasury,

The application of taxes to bitcoin can monitor the circulation of coins and avoid abuse so organized

I think many countries have already set their sights in cryptocurrency and has actually seen how it can help their local markets and their economies. That is why it is just a matter of time until some countries, if not all, would try to regulate its use or put taxes on it, so they can use it for their advantage. Since the bitcoin market has been increasing and increasing, it's a good way for countries to reap its benefits.
3383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum At The End Of 2017 on: November 28, 2017, 07:41:16 PM
Ethereum has been very stable for a whole time. This new price increase is not a fluke at all. Ethereum platform is actually been use and ethereum is creating value. We may see $500 and beyond!

I agree. Eth has maintained its price point in that value margin for quite some time, although, based on my observation that the trend that affects its increase is not very reliable. I think there is a high chance for it to reach higher than 500 because the bitcoin, which is most of the time correlative with altcoin value is reaching an all time high.
3384  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2017, 05:28:49 PM
well kids like to play, so something that can bring together bitcoin and gaming

like puzzle that when solved reveal a private key for example

it is important that kids start to learn early some basic economy, at least something about income and expenditure

i heard about a new law for some countries that will make it possible(to teach them basic economy) in schools

First off, why would you even consider teaching bitcoin to a kid who would not have any use for it. But since the topic asks for it. I think the best way is to use analogies through things that kids are most used to have with them or things that they mostly like such as ice cream, candies and other things with colors. Also, a way to better start with the topic is not by the concept itself but by how it can be useful to them in the simplest and plainest view. I think to any person, even to a kid, if you start with the good things it can do for them, it would make it easier to understand.
3385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: November 27, 2017, 04:52:35 PM
I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL?

How do you think about the price of ETH end of this year.

I lost just small amount (5 ETH) because i bought the highest price.

I don`t know I hold or SELL.

Give me your opinion.

I think the better idea depends on what you actually want to achieve and your very purpose. If you feel that you would want to hold it to be traded later on for a profit, that would be a better choice, since it's passive, and the only thing you can consider is how much you got it for. Another thing you can do is invest it to an upcoming business like an ICO, so you can use your money to earn money using your money. A good concept in business is that you should make your money work for you.
3386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: November 26, 2017, 09:43:48 PM
Bitcoin has been proclaimed dead 89 times. It has been labeled a Ponzi scheme and a failed experiment. Writers have argued for it to be forgotten and for developers to move on to greener pastures. But moving beyond this rhetoric, it’s not all that difficult to compare the rise of bitcoin to that of another technology: the World Wide Web. http://blockgeeks.com/questions/what-is-your-future-predictions-of-bitcoin/#comment-604
yess it is the future ..well u saw the price of bitcoins has incresed to a next level .well it would be no surprise if the price of bitcoins increase  to 800dollars per bitcoinss. well i hope i get my salary as bitcoins because it has high future .and i am looking forward to it. kudoos Smiley

Well, it can be considered in the sense that it fosters the ease of connectivity brought about by the use of the internet. Transactions, nowadays, are mostly governed by the internet and done through it, therefore, if a currency goes with the flow of that market, then it would jive well with it. I think as the potential and recognition of bitcoin continually unfolds, it would open doors and opportunities in the global market system that would benefit everyone and will change the its landscape forever.
3387  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: November 26, 2017, 09:27:08 PM
Investment means giving the money to someone who uses it for their business and pays you back a dividend (and you normally get some kind of share that can be sold later). Think stocks.

"Save in bank" is actually a kind of investment. You give money to the bank, they use it for their business and give you a small interest (if at all) as dividend, and you can withdraw your money. With current interest rates, this is pretty boring, the only advantage compared to keeping money in a safe at home is that it's easier to do most types of payment, and that you don't need your own safe...

Buying precious metals is not an investment because those metals won't work with the money you paid for them. It's mostly speculation (you hope that you can sell it for a higher price) and safekeeping (real value of money can fall due to inflation, while precious metals will mostly retain their "real" value). But you need to consider storage fees.

To decide which is better you need to know what you consider "good".
Do you want to maximize your ROI? Do you want to store your wealth safely? Do you want to enable entrepreneurs to build their businesses?

Onkel Paul

Good point. I think the essence of investing lies in that fact that you are using your money, although with appraisal of risks involved in your favor instead of just saving it and no actually earning anything or using it for a specific or special purposes. Having said, it's a passive way of earning money by just using your cash or savings as your capital. In the ICO market, you are similarly funding a starting up company to help them prosper, and once they do, they can bring back your money plus your earnings from it.
3388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility on: November 26, 2017, 08:52:42 PM
Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.
Volatility is over? No it wont happen. I would rather believe that the price had somehow steadying but not totally having no movement. Its not a possible thing,Bitcoin and any crypto would be always volatile but there are really days on where theres a calm moment after a storm and we did just witness that thing when bitcoins price is hitting up new ATH and now it stabilizes on this ranges.Just dont blink and be ready on the possible movement anytime.

I agree. I think that is a premium characteristic of cryptos. Although it may seem like a curse, it is also a blessing per se because it makes the market more active and vibrant. It makes trading and transactions using cryptos filled with movements, trends and tactics that need to be appraised every now and them to control the accompanied risks of these ventures.
3389  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: November 26, 2017, 08:37:59 PM
I didn't spend anything yet i just save it in order to buy expensive things. I am also planning to invest in altcoins so thats why i also save it. Everyone wants to get rich from bitcoins.

But if you spend your profit in a day you will not come far.

Right. Without proper management of many and used it to buy things that not really necessary, you could not meet your goal even how hard and how long you earn money. It is good decision to keep bitcoin and use for investment to gain more profit from it. Most of people run to collect bitcoin in order to earn to provide daily needs and keeping bitcoin is last thing to do when there is enough income that can support all what is needed.

Well, that's how it works when money is seemingly flowing. However, for most long-time and seasoned bitcoin users, they don't really "use" the money, instead they invest, trade or keep it. In that sense, they use it to make their money for them. It's a way to actually earn more by using your possessed assets as capital, which is good instead of just stockpiling it in some wallet without actual use for it.
3390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go back to 7k+? on: November 26, 2017, 07:52:12 PM
This is a hard time for bitcoin, the probability of bitcoin raising again and even hitting $8K before the end of this year  from my prediction is  95%. I observe that the drop in the price of bitcoin is as a result of the panic from the negative news about bitcoin have made some investor to pull out. Now the price have dropped some more investor will come in which will push up the price again. But in other not to loos all you might exchange amount of your bitcoin to other raising coin while you observe the movement in the price.

That's right. There are so many market trends and movements that keeps on affecting the value and price point of bitcoin. I am surprised though that it has kept a steady rise in value of varying amounts which means that it keeps gaining strength in the market, for it can easily adjust.
3391  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people are unhappy? on: November 26, 2017, 07:37:13 PM
Did you ever thought why many people are not happy even they have many possessions in life?  Did you ever thought the reason behind those agonies even if they tried to be happy but it wont last that long?  Physically,  they showed to the whole world that they are strong,  they enjoy their lives to the fullest.  But at end of the day,  loneliness attacks.  Did you ever thought why people are unhappy?

I think uncontentment is one of the reasons why people are unhappy. I think it is human nature to expect more and want more than the things that they have. For us to be contented, we should appreciate the things the we have. Our family, friends, job , loved ones are the reasons to be thankful for. Depression is also a common reason of being unhappy. Being a positive person and having an active lifestyle would be a big help. We should always look at the brighter side of life and always think of happy thoughts.

I agree, when a person is not contended with what he has, it brings about unhappiness in him because he would try to find ways to do something that can try to alleviate it. Another reason is non-fulfillment of one's wants and dreams. It creates a void in a person that he continuously wants to fill, and if he doesn't, it could be another source of stress and unhappiness.
3392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will reach to $100K in the future? on: November 26, 2017, 07:06:37 PM
Even if it stops at $10k, it made a huge impact on a lot of lives already. This bitcoin and blockchain is killing centralisation (which is good!), it skyrocketed to seemingly impossible hights.. and im part of it  Shocked

That's true. Whatever value it peaks and halts in, it has already played a big part in the market and is continuing to do so to this days. No one can really say what will happen in the future, but if you would follow the trends, then you can say that if something happens that would amplify the value increase of bitcoin, then you can say that it reaching that value may very well be possible.
3393  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the Meaning of Sin? on: November 26, 2017, 06:51:15 PM
Somebody Say if we commit sin we will be also belong to the the Wrath of GOD and we will not be having eternal Life?

This is a very sensitive topic. Sin can be defined in so many ways even if you put it in the umbrella of religion. It can be said as acts that don't follow God's, you may say, rules. It can also be something that can be degrading to others and to yourself for you are a mirror image of God. It coul also be something that can cause harm to anyone and so on. On the second aspect, it has been said many times over that God is a forgiving God, thus he forgives and doesn't condemn.
3394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 26, 2017, 06:36:04 PM
October 29, 2017 Bitcoin price ranges from $6,000 - $6,100 and today, bitcoin price is now $7,000. Are you surprise?

I think, if only those people who planning to invest in bitcoin manage to notice this sudden increase. I think there is a high chance that they will start investing.

No way am I surprised.  It's bound to keep going up as it gets harder and harder to mine and obtain and more people start wanting it.

That's right. Although there is little shock, I think what's happening now is somewhat to be expected. Since the only hindrance to the bitcoin's rise in value is the drama brought about by forks that is not present at the moment where the recent one has been cancelled. There is no more contributory force that could drag the bitcoin's value down, thus there is no way but up!
3395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you think about Ethereum's rise? on: November 26, 2017, 06:21:09 PM
I think that people finally have a picture of how game-changing ETH technology is. It has been undervalued at $300 for so long, and because it was undervalued it stod its ground when there was a bloodbath on alt market. Most of the money from alts slowly started to pour into the safe harbour (ETH) and it is finally getting the attention it deserves.

There is also an upcoming update Casper where POS (Proof Of Stake) will be introduced, which will allow users to stake and get passive income.

As far as the price goes, ETH is still undervalued and a great buy. My humble prediction is that it is going to reach $2000 next year.

That's true. I think the value has risen up very slowly because many are focused on bitcoin and others newer coins while forgetting that Eth has maintained its status as the second best cryptocurrency, and it has formed a good foundation to keep on going despite thr crazy happenings in the market lately.
3396  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: November 26, 2017, 05:35:02 PM
Bitcoin can improve a country's economy even if it is just a way to pay, or another currency to use which I think would not help in improving economy especially now that sometimes it can aid on tax evasion. Despite that, many people can earn big on bitcoins via investments but it can really bring harm to those remittance services because it is easier to send money with bitcoins rather than using remittance which is a source of tax collections of the government but still bitcoin can improve people's lives.

I believe it can. Bitcoin does not only work as a currency, but it serves as a back up to the fiat circulation in one country. Since people can use it for trade, investment and transaction, it can bolster the market in such a way that it can give more exchanges in the market system. Therefore, it can actually make the business connections in a country more active and vibrant.
3397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do??? on: November 26, 2017, 05:18:09 PM
I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams (after bribing a few of the devs, I got massive discounts in comparison to market prices and drove the volume up on their respective markets to get them listed on coinmarketcap which catapulted their price). Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

Good suggestions. I think I would agree to the idea od you using it to invest or trade in whichever means you like. I think you should find a way to use your asset to work and earn for you. It may have risks, but it is a passive way of earning with good potential return. You can also actually trade some to cash and treat yourself with something nice, afterall it's not that easy to earn that much bitcoin. Good job as well for earning that much. Very enviable!
3398  Economy / Economics / Re: lest we forget, Bitcoin is a blessing. on: November 26, 2017, 05:03:03 PM
Bitcoin has pass through many stage, limitations, attack and forks issue but its price keep on increasing from inception till now. At this time Last year bitcoin price was $450 but today it is $1245 that was over 180% increment in just a year. This is what we call blessing, that is making progress in the face of strong opposition!!

It is! I am just surprised that it survived all its uos and downs and that it has able reach greater height every time its potential and very existence is challenged. It has affected many in several positive ways. I am hoping it would continue to prosper and reach its seemingly limitless potential.
3399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018? on: November 26, 2017, 04:48:09 PM
I'm planning to buy some ETH, will it hit $1000 in 2018?

Need your suggestions

Well, I aim $2000 for ETH within 2 years, but I don't have a specified time for this. This can be either in 2018 or in 2019. The time will tell us. Ethereum blockchain is changing and they will be a pos type of structure. This will make the price increase clearly, if you ask me.

Wow. So you are planning to hold on to your Eth for that long? Is that time table considerable to be a  bad investment already? However, amongst all the altcoins, Eth has always been the most promising, thus it won't be a bad investment, moreso to target that said amount.
3400  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the main goal of human is happiness? on: November 21, 2017, 02:54:46 PM
for me its a yes! the main goal of human is happiness whatever human wanted to reach it towards to his/her happiness.
For example why do people want to work? because they want a better life, and if they reach better life they also reach their happiness.

So for you what is the main goal of human?

T me the main goal of being human is to find your purpose. It kight be to find your happiness or to find it in other people. SO long as you do it morally and also that fills up your soul then that could be the purpose in which you are created.

There are so many things humans aim for, happiness is just one of them. Since the premise is it being a main goal, I think I can say that it's on top of the list because everything that people actually do is aimed for them to be happy or satisfied. However, there are so many other things that a person aims to do or have that may not be quantified within the sphere of happiness.
