341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 23, 2023, 10:37:26 PM
What Djokovic showed was phenomenal. The Minaur only won a few games in total. It seems as if Djokovic is playing against amateurs, while these are just players from the top 25 in the world. Who is going to stop Djokovic in his half of the schedule?
they all seem weak next to Djokovic right now, he will face Rublev in Quarter finals and the odds are favoring Nole with 1.14 for him to win, this shows how much he is dominating right now, and after that he will face the winner between Tommy paul and Shelton, both are easy opponents for him, so reaching the Final seems really easy for him.
It is already predicted one, because the advertisement that prompt for Australian Open itself have Welcome back Novak Djokovic. As he didn't attend the previous tournament, this time this is something confirmed as a title win for him. At times scenario could change and for now he's playing in a cool way with confidence. Until that is with him, no player can make a win against him.
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to invite 1 of my friends to invest in bitcoin on: January 23, 2023, 09:40:46 PM
There was nothing wrong with your performance; you did an excellent job. Because you are a beginner, you must learn more in order to explain things more clearly. For example, you teach him about risk and how he can lose or profit. However, the person is unaware of how to safely store Bitcoin and avoid scams. Nevertheless, you can share whatever knowledge you have. At the very least, by adapting it, you are directly actively helping Bitcoin. If you have any questions, please post them here. It's a good thing you prefer your neighbor join the forum. That means he can now learn about crypto from the forum.
Being a beginner and the mind thinking to share about the goodness of bitcoin is really good thing. In each and everything we need to acquire knowledge, only then it is possible to make profit than just making predictions without any knowledge. Introducing the neighbor to the forum can make him much better and these kind of people will help much in adoption.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto banks replace traditional banks on: January 23, 2023, 09:36:23 PM
You can't use cryptocurrency without fiat currency, they both go hand in hand. Fiat has come to stay because this is the only way we can make everyday transactions easy. Fiat banks will always be there because they are own or run by the government of a country through their policies and regulation. Bitcoin is a digital currency and assets for people who understands its value and so can't replace fiat bank because I will say that the fiat banks still have more trust than cryptocurrency banks. Fiat is used globally but bitcoin is a private use.
Already more banks have begun to work with cryptocurrency. This means the traditional banking system with the cryptocurrency banking will coexist. This is actually good, because people who doesn't have much interest can make use of the cryptocurrency related services through the traditional system followed all around.
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 23, 2023, 08:24:14 PM
Op have mentioned about his plans for selling his motorcyclesycles have come during the starting days of the month. If he had sold his motorbike by the time and bought bitcoin, now he could've booked the profit out of the unexpected progress in the market which might continue for the longer time period.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 23, 2023, 08:19:51 PM
One unique feature of Bitcoin is that it always put social media acclaimed "experts" to shame. Sometimes these social media bitcoiners claim mastery over bitcoin. They indiscriminately predict its price as if they invented the coin with Satoshi. Even Satoshi now might not understand the price movement of Bitcoin because the creation is now economically powerful.

Through trial and error, some of them might have been predicted correctly in the past. And they have large followers that believe their analysis and follower their predictions.  One social media so-called expert recently shut down his social media platform because he predicted that bitcoin would keep falling until it goes into extinction. It was his followers that attacked him until he forcefully closed his page.

Happy bull run.
Because they have social media  handles and have good number of followers who believe them, comments and share their messages does not make them bitcoin experts. Those you call experts could be people following other persons on social media, after listening to those they thought have  knowledge. After which they use their own handle to speculate for you.
They are so lazy to research on their own, they believe in rumours and create fud in the industry.
Earlier news agencies used to be the source to create fud and now this have been undertaken by the social media people with not much of knowledge about cryptocurrency. This shouldn't be done by these people. Even the real experts find it hard to analyse and understand the ma rket. In this way, ap called social media experts predictions won't happen.
346  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 22, 2023, 11:59:36 PM
I am strongly in favour of desktop applications or even web based, as I think that phones are usually to small and I do not really trust much the apps, but there seems to be many people who would rather use their phone. Is that because they do not have access to a desktop computer? It may also be a regional issue, the same as people that do not use a browser?

I'm using my mobile for most daily tasks and also gambling. Not sure what exactly do you mean by "people that do not use a browser"? You mean like mobile app users? Not all websites have mobile apps, besides mobile apps consume lots of space on my mobile and I hate those push notifications so I'm trying to use websites instead if possible.  Cool
Exactly, there are some websites that doesn't have any mobile application however PC users has much more options as they have application that can duplicate a mobile phone.

For me, it's much more convenient to use mobile phone especially if those website are mobile friendly such as some gambling platform are too mobile friendly which I feel better to play on.
These days majority of the gambling platforms are developed in a compatible form with the mobile and every devices. This makes me go with mobile phones over other devices. Trusted gambling platforms doesn't have applications which help in privacy. Another thing, applications were easily prone to security risks for which very few applications can be seen around.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: January 22, 2023, 11:57:49 PM
With no doubt, blockchain is one of the best careers one can pursue at the time. It is highly in demand and you get to be a part of something big. Not to mention, you will get high salaries in these top blockchain careers. It is due to the fact that the need for such positions are high and the people with relative knowledge are less. Among all the jobs required in the field, only half of them are being met. This means that there’s a shortage of blockchain professional with sufficient technical knowledge.

If we talk about top blockchain jobs salary, it depends on various factors like where you are working, what’s your skill sets and how much you are experienced. As a blockchain developer, you can get from as low as $50,000 to as high as $120,000 per year. Mostly, if you work in startups, you won’t get sky-high salaries and their packages typically start from 50,000 USD for freshers. If you have experienced above 5 years, you can earn around $70,000 annually.

Next comes the high techs firms that offer the highest salaries in the field. Initially, you can earn around $70,000 which increases with experience and after five years you can get as high as $120,000. The reason for such a big gap between the salaries of startups and established tech firms is due to the fact that blockchain developers are more interested in starting their own firms rather than working for others.

At last but not least, comes jobs at government institutions. You might not get the best salaries here but as you know govt. Jobs have their own benefits. The salary packages offered at govt. Institutions are even less than startup firms.

Now cmon buddy, dont u know blockchain tech is the future? In about 20 years time, blockchain tech will be mainstream and pretty much every application will run over one blockchain. This means that kid today shoild already start studying the Blockchain so that they can succeed in life.
In the future we can see more number of blockchains. Most of the concepts at present will reach the real-time usage. Getting ourselves stronger in blockchain will help you with better career opportunities than the traditional system operation learning. It takes more number of years for the successful growth, even after a decades running the network is still young.
348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mini bull run or short Squeeze (manipulation) ? on: January 22, 2023, 11:54:11 PM
Can't help but think of manipulation still. Even the chart today is really weird when I see this pump couldn't sustain anymore that it has to be dumped right now or the plunge will be harder. Suddenly the market goes further up instead.

So what I can say is that if this is manipulated, it would really go below $15K. The futures traders are not going to take the risk of whether to go long or short, they are probably waiting where this market will go.
Whether the price will fall down or continues to bounce is upto the market. To me, it id good growth for users who have been worrying about the market in the bearish trend. At these kind of market situation it is good to make some money than looking upon the charts and getting into some sort of confusion.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: January 22, 2023, 11:50:39 PM
The most corrupted system in our society is our education system. It is the teachers' duty to teach the kids on how to make money and how they can manage them. We literally left our kids with the teachers for 6–8 hours a day. Whatever the basics are, they learn this from their teacher. And as a parent, we are busy to make sure we can provide for our family. Nowadays, teachers are just teaching what's in the book rather than what we need in our life to lead a good life.
So it is very important to teach our kids whenever we get to spend time with them. There's a saying we all know, "practice makes a man perfect". If we teach the fundamentals of life from the very beginning, practicing those will make our life a lot easier. But don't just stop on Bitcoin. There are other things in life which could also help. Teach them the purpose of bitcoin. So they can find the true meaning.
There are teachers who does things in a better way than just teaching. Different people have got different meaning for education. According to me, it is the way through which a student is directed to live peacefully with the mind to share and do good to the people in need. When one learn the real meaning of education, then he/she won't complain that the teacher haven't taught anything. Just because they're with the teachers more time doesn't mean they need to teach everything. Parents are the best teachers and from them kids learn much than from the teachers.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I turned over $1.344M with Sportsbet.com - https://imgur.com/a/gFB14gl on: January 22, 2023, 11:44:58 PM
That's why we don't have to think about it too much because we don't know the truth. Maybe it's true but maybe it's not. And if he is telling the truth and can show even more valid proof, he is really very lucky because he can win a lot of money from gambling because not many people can. We also don't need to be fascinated by other people's wins because everyone has different levels of luck. Maybe our turn will come later to get a win from gambling, so be patient until that time.
Maybe he is a new member registering on the forum to discuss gambling, but the evidence provided is not reliable enough from his statement so videotape evidence is more valid to be trusted, but he must be satisfied with his winnings even without expecting a bonus from the casino, but actually the most important factor is the platform is still legit because requests for high withdrawals are still being processed at any time. Hope you find the new casino platform giving bonuses as expected.

Video taped evidence? That's a first LOL.

The point of my post was to encourage other gamblers on this forum (some who spend as much as I do) to shop around and understand there is no such thing as loyalty in this game.

Whether or not people believe me is irrelevant and means nothing to me.

I understand what you said in this thread and I had already commented on it, but I want to take this opportunity to once again say that casinos have given bonuses to losing people, if a person puts in 100$ and loses everything, that person will not come back as much early in the casino, for this reason the casino will give a bonus to that person so that he stays in the casino playing and thinks that if he makes more deposits and loses he will have more bonus, while a winning person will not leave the casino every time win, so the casino does not need to give a high bonus to the winner
This is what followed by the casinos to keep its users active on the platforms. The rakeback works with the same formula based on the wagering, but the loss back differs with the wagering and winning amount taken into calculation as mentioned. Maybe that's the reason why OP is denied for the bonus.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 22, 2023, 11:41:40 PM
Swiatek was the absolute favorite to win the title in Melbourne this year. But she is disabled. It kind of reminds me of Djokovic in the year when he won everything and nobody could stop him. It is not for nothing that she is number one in the world ranking. She has won a Grand Slam tournament 3 times so far. Australian open and Wimbledon never. So not this year either. These players have risen very quickly. In 2019 she reached the final for the first time, and now she is currently the best (or one of the best) players in the world. Things can go lightning fast. Not as fast as the development of Carlos Alcaraz, I would have liked to see him play in Melbourne.
Whether it is football, tennis or any sports we were able to encounter much unexpected outcomes. Iga Swiatek losing to Rybakina is one such incident in the women's tennis this year. These kind of unexpected outcomes make the tournament even better. The loss too happened on direct sets which is much disappointing.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for new exchange token to add to my wallet on: January 22, 2023, 11:33:23 PM
Between Chainge and Woo network which new exchange token is worth investing on right now? If you have other better options you can add, I know of LCX which is better and I've already invested in the project, what other good ones you have in mind

Frankly; i think investing in the top gems, top exchange tokens is the way to go, so i would say your focus should be on the likes of kucoin shares token of kucoin, okx or gateio exchange tokens. Also it is important to dyor and figure out the right time to get into positions for the tokens.
Yes it makes more sense to build your portfolio with the known exchange token first before investing in the new ones. Most of them are still down from ATH so it should be a good entry point. You still have time for a good base for new exchange tokens
It is good advice, invest on the top gems than taking big risks. In the past there arisen a situation during which investment over exchange backed tokens were on the reach. Further the investment on wallet backed tokens have turned to be a trend. Even now in my opinion to invest on self custody wallet based tokens were a good choice.
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: January 22, 2023, 11:29:08 PM

A good sign for those who hold bitcoin in the long and short term, because the recovery process has been going on for a week from the previous price, recovery does not need to provide a quick price increase, because if it is stable and slowly rising the potential for further recovery will last a long time, hopefully- hopefully this year Bitcoin will experience a gradual, stable recovery and will return to its highest level next year.

For the long term there is nothing to worry about, even though in the next month bitcoin will find another correction, meanwhile if people use short term patterns, then all they have to do is adjust the buying price to the selling price they want, for example the buying price is $16-$17 for now already make a profit if they want to sell it.

I feel this pump has happened to give some hope for the Bulls before going down again. If we went down from the 16k levels, it could reach very low levels, while going down from like 24k or 25k will reduce the probability of sub 10k. However, these analyses can't help a lot as the market is heavily manipulated, so I prefer to have a plan and stick to it.
I agree that it's better to look long term, Bitcoin has already risen up by 40% in one week and for no convincing reasons, so what will happen when we get closer to the next halving.
Not really, users who have experienced the earlier down market and the all time high price never finds it a disappointment. Because, they knew that the market will bounce. Considering the price that is around $17k for a long have reached $23000+ is a big move forward. As expected the price have crossed $20k+ before the end of january. When we're closer to the halving it'll find position for a big push.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First thing i will do if Bitcoin become legal tender globally on: January 22, 2023, 11:25:14 PM
The problem is bitcoin will never become a global legal tender, legal tender means bitcoin is considered an official currency, I don't think countries like US or china will do that. They are not stupid enough to let bitcoin kill their national currency, and I don't expect that to happen because then it's more likely that bitcoin will become stable.
Maybe that's true, when bitcoin is accepted all around the world surely this will tend to have the stable market. This is completely against the equation of the innovator. Even the users are much attracted by the volatile nature of the market. Countries want their control over the people's money and for the same they fear of the bitcoin and are into developing their own CBDC.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: January 21, 2023, 11:28:42 PM
It is truly impossible to attain the interest of the family and move according to it. When it comes to the native token of the particular platform, very few show interest on investing. Working people just lack interest to buy a new token for gambling and spend it. The key focus will be over the regular platform and buying top altcoins will give risk free playing experience than buying a new token for gambling.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 19, 2023, 06:02:15 AM
Agreed, this decision should've been taken years back.15 years passed. In the meantime it is the politics that doesn't let WIPL. Right now we've got good development in the women's cricket and that means it to be the right time than getting delayed. Change of representatives too a reason for the approval and now the authorities were quite strong that IPL will stay strong amidst the existence of any premier leagues around the world.

Yeah.. better late than never. But I believe that they could have increased the number of teams to 8. The current number of participants (5) is too low I'm afraid. There is enough talent pool available within India, and then each of the franchises will be able to field 4 foreign players in their playing XI. So they could have gone with 6-8 teams. Anyway, I believe that an expansion will take place sometime in 2024-25. And although the franchises are yet to be announced, my suggestion is to give preferences to cities such as Guwahati and Indore that are not represented in the IPL.
The team count is very small. More the teams, better will be the league. Over the next edition we can expect increase in the number of teams. For now it is good for the debut season. An 8increase in the foreign players will help in the increase of teams. Rather than giving preference to limited cities it is good to conduct it all locations which will attract audiences from the whole country.
357  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 19, 2023, 05:29:54 AM
In today's market price the gambler have risked around 67BTC for a mere winning of 0.51BTC, for which he could've chosen the opposite odds. As said gambling gives unexpected outcomes irrespective of the odds. This is one such example that the low odds too fail, even though the winning probability is high. If I'm not wrong, this loss will give him a learning or he'll turn to be a addicted gambler looking to recover the massive loss that happened completely unexpected.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 19, 2023, 05:16:44 AM
Given that there will be more teams in the World Cup 2026, I wonder if there will be more matches played per team.

I mean, of course there will be more matches in general, because there will be more teams to play, but the structure could be designed so that the total matches per team is kept the same as today.

This is because all the records from previous world cups would be a bit meaningless with more matches. For example, number of goals scored in a world cup, etc.
FIFA is still thinking about this, right now it seems they will go with 12 groups of four teams each, so at least the number of games each team will have to play during this phase will remain the same, if despite the increase in the number of participants only 16 teams make it to the next round then those getting to the final will still only play 7 games each and a straight comparison among records will still be possible, but if FIFA adds a round of 32 then this will not be possible anymore as now the teams making it to the final will play 8 games instead.
The addition of the number of countries by 50% from before made FIFA have to make a lot of adjustments and there are several options that FIFA is currently considering, one of which is by dividing into 16 groups and each group consisting of 3 countries, but there is no certainty regarding all options, all are still under consideration but for sure the group phase will be the busiest times for the hosts
Participation into the FIFA World Cup is a big achievement for every nation. The 50% increase in the number of countries give opportunity for more football loving nations. Maybe it will be difficult task for the FIFA organisation, but it brings in more audience as well as big revenue than the previous editions. We don't know how the grouping to be done, but now itself the expectations on different countries have started growing.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 19, 2023, 05:04:50 AM
Women prefer to watch something that have gained popularity. Within India at some point it was Sania Mirza who have been talked big for her progress as there is none to reach the position of her in India. With badminton it is Sindhu and few other players that grabbed the attention and made people follow those games. In such manner India Women's team making a remarkable performance will make more people follow it. Probably once after WIPL India will have more supporters for Women's Cricket.

I would say that the BCCI unnecessarily delayed the launch of the WIPL by more than a decade. They had the first edition of the IPL way back in 2008. And they are launching the WIPL 15 years after that. If they had started this league sometime during the 2010s, then it would have earned a lot of fan base by now. But then, the BCCI guys were worried that any additional league would eat in to the popularity of the IPL. People are getting fed up with the repetitiveness of the IPL and that is one of the reasons why they have approved the WIPL now after such a long gap.
Agreed, this decision should've been taken years back.15 years passed. In the meantime it is the politics that doesn't let WIPL. Right now we've got good development in the women's cricket and that means it to be the right time than getting delayed. 360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 19, 2023, 04:39:20 AM
@Sithara007 I totally agree that today’s generation of Australian bowler’s can’t be compared to Lee and McGrath, however I don’t agree with the part where you say that they’ll be dominated by Indian batsman easily. Also I understand that Indian pitches favour spinners more, but I have a feeling that Australian pace bowler’s won’t struggle that much due the experience they have gained of bowling on Indian pitches while playing in IPL.

I have my doubts here. How the T20 experience is going to help them in test matches. And BTW, when was Mitchell Starc last played in the IPL? And has Nathan Lyon ever participated in the league? Only Hazlewood and Cummins participate in the IPL on a regular basis. Others such as Jhye Richardson and Nathan Ellis rarely make it to the playing XI. One thing that I can agree with you right now is that the Australians recently had a tour of Pakistan and there the conditions are somewhat similar to that in India. The bowlers performed decently there.
The experience from T20 and Test matches were completely different. For that we can't say the player who had performed well can't play good in test matches. In the past we used to hear the statement, Sachin's records can't be beaten. What is happening. Virat Kohli is so close and soon he'll beat all the records. Same as that, in bowling we've got legendary bowlers from Australia and for the same it doesn't mean the present bowlers are down to them in performance.
