341  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Onda B250-D8P mining rig on: June 03, 2019, 09:44:46 PM
What are you asking for this rig?  I didn't see it posted in your original message.

CreativeReef
pretty much best resonable offer....

To put it in perspective:
I paid ~169 for the spotswood frame(looking up BTC price history)
and the board still sells for ~$180, processor ~$90, the memory ~$40, ssd ~$40, PSU ~$60, and then there is the OS license.....

But I kinda left it at the best reasonable offer;  if that offer doesn't feel like a knife in the kidney, ill sell it.

Id consider a straight trade for an EVGA 1080ti hybrid since I would just put it in my game pc.... and everyone right now wants waaaaay more than they are worth still.

Presently the machine is just sitting with an RX560 mining monero till its sold. (at a whopping 320kh/s)
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: June 02, 2019, 08:56:45 PM
i totally forgot that doge is merge mined with LTC...   I personally never mined either of the two;  I only pointed my gridseeds at xpool/zpool back in the day and haven't run an asic since those days.

Ive been tossing around the idea of putting one of the lower power bitmain devices on to trickle some extra coin in....  we will see...   But at some point for sure Ill be buying a sha256 machine and just add to the network to support it;  not expecting any real returns from it.

I also posted up my onda rig to the marketplace section...  I think ill stick with the current setup of small satellite machines in many places.   Seems to work the best; and the only major downfall is travel could be far if it needs to be worked with in person...   I have plenty of spare PC's collecting dust ready to go... so might as well let someone else put it to good use.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: June 02, 2019, 07:17:43 PM
something's brewing....I hope all of your alts hodl positions pay off  Wink

Yeah  I hope  one of the alts takes off.

Doge is so low  0.00000039 btc  a jump to 0.00000391 btc would be easy to do.

the problem is people's inherent fear that BTC's rise will be more than the alt;  and the rise in the value of BTC will cause a selloff and balance in the alt.

its not as often that the alt's value stays pegged to BTC;   LTC doesn't seem to be even following that tendency as much anymore.

I still own one bag of some [right now] useless coins because there is no active exchange wallet;  but supposedly that will be different in the future;  Ill have to wait and see =/  At least it was nothing ventured out of pocket;  it was all from sig campaign proceeds.
344  Other / Meta / Re: My account is banned I want to know why. on: June 01, 2019, 08:24:15 PM
Calling someone out for greed gets me banned?  Everyone has greed, it has affected my greatly in my life and can eat at your mind.

If your saying you can get banned for disrespecting someone that you need to ban like half of this forum.  Especially the big guns like Ognasty and Vod.

quite a high percentage of your posts were deleted.  Only moderators can see those, and the plagiarism is most likely contained within... but regardless....

the steps for success were outlined above.... multiple times.

following proper procedure will get you results.   Continuing to not follow procedure/rules gets you nowhere.
345  Other / Meta / Re: HELP why am I Banned 911 on: June 01, 2019, 07:05:48 PM
bump, lets get a response from the person that banned me?

you were autobanned, and it was in the link you were given earlier.

your email you are registered with has instructions for emailing them and sorting it out.

most autobans are good;  some are bad, but its easy to weed them out due to others commenting good things about them or looking at their post history.

The information for success has been stated by me and others before me.  Good luck.
346  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] Onda B250-D8P mining rig on: June 01, 2019, 12:53:46 AM
I just sold off all of my video cards, and only have this last mining rig left. I'm sure someone else will put it to good use. This isn't a cheap chinese mining board, Onda boards are renown for its build quality and the D8P is no exception.

This board has 8 16x slots, and 4 1x slots.

The specs:
Onda B250-D8P V1.0
I3-6100 LGA1151
8Gb 1.2V DDR4 SODIMM
1200W Modular ATX power supply
Spotswood custom made frame for the D8P
64Gb RecData mSATA SSD
Windows 10 Pro Licensed and Activated
Cooling fans

It's ready to go with the recent nvidia and a stable blockchain AMD driver. I personally ran this board with 7 GPUs. 100% ready to have video cards installed and your favorite mining software run. Fans are used and dirty; but they do their job and still work fine.

Comes exactly as seen in the photos, (includes the IEC 110v power cable that is not pictured).

I accept BTC, LTC and cash.

Trying to find a buyer in California so it does not need to be shipped;  I would rather not, but I will for the right person if they cover the cost of shipping and materials (it will be fully disassembled).

Best reasonable offer gets it... but again;  I'm trying to find a local California sale.   Maybe trade for a 1080ti?
I am located in the Bay Area... but willing to meet in the middle anywhere in cali for the right price.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Lisk Delegate position for sale 60btc on: May 28, 2019, 06:54:35 PM
It is not fake, dont reply if you are not interested .

I am trying to make a legitimate sale!

then please, post it in the for-sale section and delete this thread.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Powersupply for Gridseed on: May 27, 2019, 05:23:31 PM
How much current does a 12V psu need to power one Gridseed blade (40 chip)?
I've used a 5 and 6A brick for testing and it seems to have been hashing just fine but now it just shows 2.06/2.06/0.0Mhs A:0 R:0+0 with bfgminer 5.4.2

The gridminer blade takes about 60-70 watts per blade.  If it’s the one I’m thinking of (little black box about 8 inches long) it consists of two blades. 40 chips each.  You can edit the MHz within bffminer. Might try 750 or under. See if it starts to hash.(make sure to Input MHz number eveninly divisible by 8. Something happens if you don’t and it will throw a ton of errors.  Could be your psu going bad. Or the miner itself. Those ASICS don’t have much run life.

Good advice.   I remember running my blades at 850;  they really didnt put out much heat compared to all the other devices of the era....   best idea is get an old ATX psu and wire up some barrel plugs and power a few of them with it.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Lisk Delegate position for sale 60btc on: May 27, 2019, 02:51:44 PM
if you are selling something, FYI your post belongs in the marketplace.  Can a mod move this post?
350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 27, 2019, 02:18:29 PM
gold standard is worthless junk, germany is on the national socialism standard

Germany has been a republic for some time....  Check your facts before you vomit them everywhere please.

national socialism means there is a banking cartel that runs an agenda.

even if its a "democratic" national socialism its still somehow like that. nation states have to run a socialism or they wont have support.

I don't even know how to respond to that broken argument.... other than to correct you again:

national socialism is literally defined as "the polotical doctrine of the nazi party of germany"... which has been gone for some time now.... which I have already pointed out.

Again,  I will repeat:  check your facts bud.... I said it to you initially because you are making completely incorrect/illogical statements.

You do not know how to discuss things if you do not know the basic definitions of what you are speaking about.  You replies are clearly indicative of that.
351  Other / Meta / Re: User martychubbs; need opinions on: May 27, 2019, 10:31:35 AM
if you really need that, then something is wrong with you , not trying to be mean , i just think it's "TOO MUCH" to be needing an opinion from a random person on the internet about another random person just to ease your mind.

Good luck.

100% accurate report history here... and there's a reason for it that you choose to ignore.

I am looking for outside opinions on the subject;  not idiotic rants that don't help the topic at hand.  Its comments like yours that make this board the shithole its been becoming.

Apparently this is why you are spending your time and efforts in the meta section...

If we were to start a whole topic about every similar account then Meta is going to be a disaster,
count the amounts of these types of posters, and count how many i have asked about.   Your statements are very ignorant of what actually is.

The reasoning for this post was made very clear;  because its not a clean-cut definitive answer, and requires outside analysis.    Leave the attitude at your door dude;  it is 100% unnecessary. Did I ever ask for advice on what I should be doing?  no.  I asked about the quality of his posts and if others merited him being thrown under the knife.

Whatever you think off topic and low quality in the post history, report it to Moderator with your justification.

Post copying outside text with source link and nothing added by OP is considered as low value post, when reported these threads are trashed.

understood;  but since his copy/paste are from a few years back; and the confusing translations of his and others' posts together, it is hard for me to make a singular judgement.
No sense at pushing people in front of a bus unless its clear they deserve it.

Unlike many;  I still believe you should have ample and clear evidence before accusing someone of a crime.
I dont behave like a 2016 Democrat;  sorry.

Ok, I have noticed a thread with many replies; that really had no place being there, and these veil advertisers seem to be circle-jerking each other.... that's how it seems....

I checked the most recent poster's created thread history;   before mid last year he literally copy/pasted text (sometimes the entire text) from the page/article in his link and links it as well... This goes for all of his created posts.  He has not created a post since;  only short responses of general 'a or b' opinions/statements, not really discussion that I can see.

For his recent post history;  most of the replies are just a random comment similarly in-line with the subject of the thread;  nothing really to bringing anything of substance to the conversations.

looks like a mostly copy/paste turned to spam user when the merit system and stronger crackdown on copy/paste was enacted.

Check this:
His created topics:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=36229;sa=showPosts

His recent posts:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=36229;sa=showPosts

His most recent merit was from a deleted thread; but NotFuzzyWarm gave it to him... so i don't think much of that.  no worries.

The thread which inspired me to make this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2771677.40

the real question is why did he reply... he didn't add anything new.... No less its a topic from a year ago, that I and others had already covered/answered, and I was even not compensated for my work as was promised by the OP....

Im looking for opinions;  im not looking to torch someone;  but curious as to what moderators think.  His created threads history is the main reason I am posting here.   100% of the reason actually.

Ive seen people banned recently for less; so another reason why I bring it up.

If any bigger trusted members here can throw a vouch or some thoughts, would be appreciated and put my mind a little at ease.

I don't like pointing a gun at someone if I don't have to; but the post history necessitated it.
354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 26, 2019, 09:35:30 PM
People mention famines and economic crashes but never mention any that occurred under capitalism.  The problem you guys have with the paper is that it provides a side-by-side apples to apples comparison and you are interested in only focusing on bad things that have happened under alleged socialism.

I have had more bad than good come from socialism in my life.

what do you mean people don't mention problems that arise with capitalism?   The numerous stock market crashes, the homeless problem, the increased spreading of things like STD's, etc are heavily talked about in this day and age.

Speaking of "socialist" Germany earlier;  also didn't even brush on the fact that they haven't been a socialist nation for some time.... and they still declined.    Some can say its because of capitalism (using short thinking, I can understand how they come to this position) Germany had its steady downfall, but nobody stops to think that its a real possibility the mindset of the people and application of their government with socialist agendas and programs have caused things to follow that path?

Listen;   You can all try and argue until you are blue in the face on how one is greater than the other.

I have been on both sides of the coin;  had both systems effect my life in a serious way.

I chose capitalism.   I have a better chance, especially because if I work hard, I can earn that batter chance.  Being limited;  takes away that chance at a better life.

And "Better life" is subjective.
For one person it could be something as simple as having running water in your house.
For some others, it's could be ability to pass the blame to someone else and continue being ignorant by simply enjoying what has been handed to you.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone else having good luck with 90%/950% dice bots? on: May 26, 2019, 11:52:20 AM
I don't think any paid bots are worth the money, think about this.  If the bot was so good at making money why would the owners even have to sell it, they could just use the bot themselves and make boatloads of money.

nope, not paid;  they include a sample and source for a bot already configured for their API.

Be warned;  go through the code.... I think i remember years ago seeing a few lines of code that would set the bet to your balance and yolo it for no reason....  I don't remember if it was in the source or sample build;  but just go through it real quick and compile it yourself... its not complicated...
356  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proposed system to reduce Blockchain size on: May 26, 2019, 09:35:11 AM
I think a snapshot sort of idea could be a good thing.

Code in so when you hit block X;  the entire blockchain is broken down into its constituent records;  and keep only the addresses and values along with checksums for each that contains a balance; make it as a new base block and have the network find a hash to sign that package (no reward); use that package in a manner to seed the start of the first block..  From there, continue business as usual.    When the blockchain grows up again;  it can all be done again.  Basically delete the chain of record; and make it contain addresses with a balance and a hash of the two as a checksum.

But it would have to be done with consensus.  100% must be.

Each node at the appropriate blockheight will begin assembling the new "genesis block" which could be of infinite size, and once built;  nodes start hashing away to sign that package.   Literally mine out the reset of the blockchain.... not only that, but at the time of the network change;  node consensus should be in the magnitude of [some number deemed appropriate] reporting in with an individual verifiable hash.   Estimated hash difficulty requirement can be worked out in the process... maybe make it variable based on hash time and network block consensus count.  once that threshold is passed;  start processing tx's as normal.

The early records can be saved independently; and re-verified as is needed; but once its truly known everything is verified with the replacement blockchain;  it would basically be delete-able unless you wanted to traverse the full record in the future.

I know there are many ways for it to possibly go wrong;  but we have ample time to test and re-test and get it right before we do such a thing.... and I really think this could be a reality for making the blockchain smaller.

I also remember something about the merkle root being able to take place of a lot of block data;   like a side-ledger....   I need to do more diligent research about that [from what i recall] unused aspect.

sorry i'm rambling a little;  its late but i wanted to comment.

358  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone is selling green rating (DT) on: May 26, 2019, 09:20:26 AM
I'm half tempted to create an alt and try buying it but it's most likely a scam anyway.

I was thinking it's almost sure to be a scam, but it would be fun to send an undercover newbie to entrap this shitbird.  If you decide to do it I'll split the fee with you, that way you're not taking on the whole burden of the more-than-likely scam.

The irony in doing this:  the person if they got the positive trust;  would deserve it for what they are doing....

But obviously its a scam, now hes -9999 trust, made me chuckle.
359  Other / Meta / Re: Let's finally remove Locked and Self Mod topics from the Marketplace on: May 26, 2019, 07:52:22 AM
What about the option for them to "archive" the "offending posts", and people on the page will have a button to view the page with archived posts where they were supposed to be;  but with a grey background or something obvious.

Might be a way to let people do what they want, and let the rest see what they don't want you to/have to see.

Ya know... transparency.   *chuckles*
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: May 26, 2019, 07:47:53 AM
Had a gut feeling;   sold off all my XMR today.

Still gonna mine it;  but i'm not holding it for a while....

I think mainly to get it done while I can still liquidate; since most exchanges are starting to get iffy on if they will be keeping anonymous coins.....

IDC if the price goes up now either;  I really see it can hit 120-150, but, I think ill trust my gut on this one;  ive already made plenty off it since it has pretty much doubled in value for me.

You might be right, could be a similiar situation of what happened with BSV. It got delisted in many exchanges and pretty much value is tanking everyday (most likely the recent pump will fade completely with the copyright news).

I don't know about XMR but most alts I am holding right now. I am assuming we will see what we saw in 2017, where at first BTC was pumping and alts were losing dominance and then all of a sudden it reversed and alts started to rally while BTC was declining. Right now its not a good time to sell alts, especially ones like ETH.

Really looks like BTC wants to top $10K and will be interesting what happens if it actually pierces thru, might take another run at the ATH.

I like the idea of holding XMR as a privacy token;  the "untouchable" savings so to speak;    but the issue of lack of liquidity for me begun to outweigh the rest of the benefits.   I already hold a bunch of a coin which the project is still active, but the exchange let the wallet hit maintenance; and suddenly a massive tumble in its value because of it.    There was some movement the other day with it;  but no sooner was it up that it came crashing down;   that big period the other day was more total BTC value in one day than the coin did in the last ~1.5 years....     Maddening... knowing myself that the network is up and running;  I am able to send coins to and from accounts just fine, the wallet source hasnt changed or anything;  literally the exchange is being a douche.... and im pretty sure so it could dump all the coins its acquired from its wallet staking 1/2 of the sum of coins on that blockchain....       I could have still kept my investment (grown it even) plus make some profit on these movements... but nope.   I like liquidity in these days;  having to rely on crypto to get by now and then;  such is life for me.

Ill still keep mining it though;  but every .3 payout, Ill just TX the previous .3 to the exchange and sell it....   and if the winds go south;  take it in stride.
