341  Economy / Economics / Re: who own the world's biggest bitcoin wallet? on: October 14, 2017, 09:02:08 PM
And no, there is no way to know who has the most amount of bitcoin, so this thread is useless, there is no way to check it and see who is the most millionaire in here, lol.
Just imagine, a lot of people would try to hack that poor guy's wallet..

There are some ways to narrow down the list of people who own the largest wallets and there are certainly some wallets that have already been identified, and a few even labelled by their own users. Notably some large sites and exchangers' so-called cold wallets are known.

Keeping your address private is just that. Privacy. Your wallet being visible doesn't actually decrease your security. Otherwise the transparency of the blockchain would be a flaw.

So, don't pity the guys in this list. You can try and hack their wallets all you want.

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html
What i like about this list is that despite the hash power concentration we still have a very wide dispersion of BTC over several wallets. If big holders have several wallets or not is still to be known. This also confirms that it is very difficult to hold above certain price ups. we are only human. Itīs quite unlikely that someone holds a coin from cents to 5k and doesnīt sell.
342  Economy / Economics / Re: it is possible fiat currency will crashed? on: October 14, 2017, 04:33:34 PM
I heard Robert Kyosaki is talking about the crashed of FIAT CURRENCY? when this thing will happen? how are we going to respond?
Fiat currency is crashed everyday in different countries. If you are talking about dollars, euros, yuan and other strong currencies they are not going to be crashed that soon. But look at venezuela, look at angola kuanzas when oil took a dump or look at how many times brasil changed its currency because of crazy and uncontroled inflation?
Why are you so sure that the oil has spoiled? Do you think that countries that produce oil are to blame for the fact that their currency was turned into paper. They were rejoicing that they have a lot of oil and those who do not will always be to sponsor them in the country. They did not modernize their economy and did not even think how they will live their heirs when the oil runs out. It was good when oil was expensive and we gave the last money to buy fuel. Now a lot of money invested in alternative energy and oil demand will fall always. Greed killed the traders in oil so I do not pity them.
Iīm not blaming anything. The whole economic boost was based on the oil price increased and it just took a dump when oil crashed. thatīs all. Of course they are the ones to blame. I donīt pity them either.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in Alt's Whats your favorite long term and why on: October 14, 2017, 04:31:08 PM
I have some long term holdings. My favorite right now are:

XMR/Monero: I like privacy and in this case fungible coins. I foresee a growing market looking for privacy where BTC failed. So i see XMR growing steadily so even if it doenst PUMP like hell i think itīs very same to hold it.

KMD/KOMODO: itīs a very interesting platform with lots of development. They are launching a DIco very soon, first of a kind i think and i believe it still has lots of room to grow. Another one that i feel safe holding.

XBY/Xtrabytes: Itīs a whole ecosystem, maybe disruptive technology and is flying under the radar for a long time. SO i think it will give some profit medium term, but long term probably a winner.
344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you going to keep your BTC on exchange during the upcoming forks? on: October 14, 2017, 04:11:04 PM
The common advice for a fork is to move your money away from any online wallet and store it safely in your own wallet. And this is in fact a really good advice, because it's always safer to store your coins by yourself. But after August 1st some people who followed this advice started making angry posts about how they regret listening to it because they missed on an opportunity to sell their BCH coins while the markets were closed for deposits for that coin. This showed that holding your money on exchange is a risk that also has a potential reward - immediate access to a closed market for a forked coin.

So, I'm curious to ask traders two things:

1. Did you hold your BTC on exchange on August 1st?
2. Are you going to hold on exchange during Bitcoin Gold fork and during SegWit2x fork?

I have some BTC on my own wallet, but also a small trading stash on various exchanges. What i did was keep it in exchanges that previously stated that they would credit the forked tokens as well in case of BTC cash. They actually did and all wenīt well. So my trading stash will be kept on exchanges while im tradind despite forks or no forks.

347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 12, 2017, 07:53:28 PM
Looks like monero has been dropping a lot in the last week, i dont know the real reason of it, but it is weird to see it dropping a lot because this is one of the most strong altcoins that are on the market right now.
it is so weird.. What do you think guys? will it recover soon or not? it is $86 atm, and it touched $80 on today's morning, i dont know what to expect from monero, i thought it was going to reach $200.

We have been around long enough ( for me less than two years ) to know that coin value doesnīt correlate with project quality. It relies mostly or marketing, FUD, Hype and market manipulations. As the market matures things will be different and strong projects will grow. Not only Monero, but Monero for sure.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptocurrency should I invest in with 50 USD? on: October 11, 2017, 09:06:04 PM
Buy XBY or TAAS.XBY will probably rocket and taas pays dividends so you will ha ve a small extra amount every quarter to reinvest in small alts if that is your choice....
349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting the Trade on: October 11, 2017, 09:04:19 PM
Hello, which exchanges are good to start learning how to trade between Bitcoin and Altcoin?

Despite some problems in replying to tickets due to an explosion in volume i still like poloniex. For me its the most user friendly. But Bitrex is fine as well, just feel it is a little more complicated.
350  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Experienced with withdrawing fiats from coinbase? (please share) on: October 11, 2017, 09:02:43 PM
I am planning to start withdrawing fiat from trade gains, please share your experience with coinbase and tax related fees in your country. Thanks
When you change to fiat...for that matter coinbase works, you are expected in most countries to pay tax for your earnings. I guess the ammount would depend on each country tax law...
351  Economy / Economics / Re: Vanuatu, world’s first county to accept bitcoin for its citizenship program on: October 11, 2017, 09:01:03 PM
Next goal. 44 BTC to enjoy an island life:) Iīll google vanuatu to see if it worth leaving there or just a nice place to go for a week vacation.
In portugal they are selling visas for 500.000 euros in real estate:) maybe they shift to BTC as well:)
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a team of translators on: October 10, 2017, 10:39:03 PM
Hey. I only have the KMD whitepaper to show as work done in this forum. I also see you have a more experienced portuguese translator applying above. So let me just leave my availability if you feel the need to split the work or if the other translator finds his hands to full.
The 3 day deadlines are not usually a problem.

Looking forward to help and build a translator reputation around here.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - INTEGRATIVE MODULAR BLOCKCHAIN INNOVATIONS on: October 10, 2017, 10:11:09 PM
There will be a nice accompanying doc to go with XFUEL but for now I'll state a couple comments.

XBY is and will always be the lifeblood of creating modules within the core platform. Any modules or applications built on the XBY platform uses XBY, NOT XFUEL.
This is achieved through the DICOM API

XFUEL IS;
Proof of Tech (PoSign) working on the XBY Platform
First token available on the X-CHANGE utilizing XBY Core (xby/xfuel pairing)
Can be used in partial paying for a STATIC
Used for paying Dev's

Thanks
BRYAN_K

Cheers, Bryan.  Smiley
Thanx, noted. I promise iīm going to read all the annoucements and wont add to an FUD meanwhile. I see its frustrating for you guys to give lotīs of very very good news and sudenly we only focus on our worries.
Iīm refocusing on the good stuff:)
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - INTEGRATIVE MODULAR BLOCKCHAIN INNOVATIONS on: October 10, 2017, 09:04:01 PM
A few days ago in the thread was stated that XBY would be the blood of the system itself. So itīs value would come from that. Hope that XBY doesnīt become useless because there is a decision to shift to another token. If that is the case a coin swap for current holders would be mandatory or a big blow to trust would happen.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XtraBYtes (XBY) news coming up, what do you think? on: October 10, 2017, 08:53:15 PM
XBY   people are not he best marketeers around. But in the end of the day i still believe the best projects will survive. So you can make a few dollars on market trash like dash but to hold long term XBY is a much better option. The project is great, letīs hope they deliver.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chart analysis on: October 10, 2017, 08:41:39 PM
Hello to everybody,

I have question about chart analysis. Are there any differences betwen chart analysis in traditional stock exchange and crypto exchange?  Considering that the crypto exchange is much more emotional in decision making? Can we use exactly the same analysis techniques or do we have to adjust them to our crypto reality? If yes, please give me some tips what I have to change that the analysis would be more accurate.

You can use the same tech indicators. However remember two very important points. Technical indicators are used considering the market history repeats itself. For cryptos there isnīt a good established history. Point nr 2 is that tech indicators are best when you have high volume and most altcoins are low volume. So technical analysis would work better on BTC trading against USDT because it has the longer history and high volume.

It can be used in other coins, but be prepared for losses.
Have fun:) and donīt be to emotional!
357  Economy / Economics / Re: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE A NASTY DIVORCE AND A FAT BTC WALLET? on: October 10, 2017, 07:46:30 PM
I'm assuming most would have read, watched and some probably experienced divorce proceedings.
It's certainly not a pretty thing, especially when it's a nasty one. Now, the question is do you
reveal your BTC wallet address when undergoing proceedings or do you simply keep shtum.
Or maybe you have been careless enough to let your spouse know about your crypto dealings.
Do you willingly part with the nice rising BTC or do you offer to pay up in Fiat?

This post is merely for fun, 'I AM NOT MARRIED' Grin

In this particular case, whoever controls the private keys owns the BTC. as being largely unregulated it wont be able to be included in the sharing of patrimony in a divorce. So whoever is on the verge of a divorce, fill your wallets:) with a private fungible coin please. My top pics today are monero and komodo.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 10, 2017, 10:11:18 AM
I dont get the point of why monero is going down so fast.. It was more than $150 just one month ago, anyone knows the real reason of why it dropped that much?
It is insane, but i keep asking to myself why did i invested in monero at first, i bought two moneros ( i know it is not much) but i bought them at $120 each one, and now i am in more than 30% of loss with both them.
Maybe i have to wait a little bit more until the alt market corrects again.

Well if you bought any altcoin at the time when monero was $120, you'd be in the same boat as now, as all altcoins are taking punches now that bitcoin is slingshoting back up

Yeah everyone who bought their coin at the top are on loss right now and that is because of bitcoin price skyrocketing. If you can't take the loss you are getting then its better for you not to trade but if you bought monero for long term hold then you don't need to worry about the price right now.

If you donīt have the stomach to take losses the very first and good thing to do is not trade at all. Can put the Money on a portuguese bank, they will gladly take it for less than 1% yearly. The second and less radical stuff is get into coins you believe for long term. if the trade goes wrong you get a bag of something you like. If people canīt take a loss and bet on stuff they donīt believe... I would have a name to call, but iīll refrain from doing so..
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: █ █DOGECOIN IS DEADCOIN ! HAS BEEN IGNORED BY THE CREATOR !! BE CAREFUL █ █ on: October 09, 2017, 08:23:31 PM
This alt world is great. I remember when doge was 19 sats i put a thread to sell it OTC for 22. Lots of people shouting that i was crazy. I closed the thread and sold it later at a much higher price:) so thanx BTCtalk trash-talkers for that. From that moment on iīve been only using it for etra short term deals to increase my BTC a little.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [MCN] MonetaVerde Exchange on: October 09, 2017, 07:44:34 PM
Moneta verde is very easy to mine, no development. SO i dont believe there will be buyers. Iīm not selling either. Is just that kind of pille of shit that is left being and sometime in the future there could be a garden on top of it. If not...not much lost.
