341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS an asset. Do you think it's bad? on: May 15, 2023, 04:40:43 PM
Bitcoin was created to be a Store of Value and not just a Medium of Exchange. A proper money should be a good Store of Value which basically means that people assets/values in form of Bitcoin/money is preserved rather debased when stored longterm. So, it will be wrong to take the SoV feature away from Bitcoin. Without it, Bitcoin won't be a proper money.

In regards to price fluctuations, it's actually the heartbeat of Bitcoin. It's a way to know how the economy is doing. If you suppress it how do we know how well Bitcoin is doing? If price goes down 5% a self-regulating mechanism kicks in, the community begins to promote, fix or contribute to the development of Bitcoin to attract buyers and increase the price by 10%. If everything is in order the price fluctuates moderately until there is need to pump it up more, which is usually temporal. So, you need to learn to live with the fluctuations.
If you are too bothered about the fluctuations then quit comparing it with fiats and just focus on Bitcoin & it's local economy.
342  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tarot reading for Crypto on: May 15, 2023, 09:50:28 AM
Beware of false seers. Such are definitely working for the kingdom of darkness considering they charge for their services and use strange objects to predict things... The true ones won't charge you a dime for predictions and their predictions are 100% accurate. You shall know the true/false ones by their fruit (fruit = products/works). A good tree produces good fruit while a corrupt tree produces evil fruit. A good tree cannot produce evil fruit neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.

They steal from the Kingdom of Light, try to manipulate things to behave according to their prediction etc. But they are very limited on how far they can go.

It's important to note that it's evil to consult such people. People who do evil are cursed. So don't get yourself in trouble.
343  Other / Off-topic / Re: A survival show? on: May 15, 2023, 09:02:44 AM
There are a lot of survival shows now, like getting food for eating a worm or fighting your fear. We agreed with a friend that when we had the opportunity to try the beetle, we would do it, when we arrived in another country we couldn't even touch it, let alone eat. Do you think you could take part in a show about fears and survival? If so, what would be the scariest thing for you?

Is that a Reality Show?
I do not really like the way this world run such shows. They tend to be so realistic that participants end up getting pregnant, harmed by animals in the jungle,  fight each other to the point of death, etc. It's possible that people you're interacting with in cyberspace or physical world are mere actors acting a show you aren't aware of. People who aren't part of the show get involved without their consent, or the actors/producers fail to let people know that a scene they got involved in is merely a show. For example, an argument scene will normally attract people in certain countries who will try to settle the argument without knowing it's merely a planned movie scene or something like that. Though movies tend to be more controlled unlike reality shows, and people are more aware that they are interacting with actors or watching a movie scene.

Well, the interesting thing about such shows is that  it's pretty similar to how humans are existing in this world. It's like playing a role while being watched by angels, principalities and Powers... It's like a show within a show. The ones made by humans are watched by "big brother" and people.  People are allowed to live their real life in the shows while being watched.

In regards to the part about fear and survival, for us there is absolutely nothing to fear. It's hard to be afraid when you know you are sorrounded by an Existence with invisible Beings that protect you and grant your good wishes/requests
344  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe magic real? on: May 14, 2023, 08:03:35 AM
It's a counterfeit of the real thing (Miracle) which only the CREATOR of the Universe can do, therefore it's not real.
No human can make a physical object for example disappear, only the CREATOR can and that is called Miracle. Certain people claim magicians can. It's beyond what they or any human can do on their own. If a human does it, it's actually because the CREATOR is doing it through the human. There are very few people the CREATOR uses to do Miracle, they must be qualified before they can be used.

Besides, magic is evil because it's a lie and a product of evil people/sources. So, it should never be practiced, encouraged or promoted.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: May 12, 2023, 03:06:43 PM
I am facing a real world issue that prevents me from using Bitcoin.

I live in Pakistan and for last three days cellular internet service all across the country is suspended because of prevailing law and order situation. Internet is working on fixed line connection that is reaching homes. So there is still some connectivity available.

If government shut down internet service even on fixed line connection then there will be complete internet blackout in the country and in that situation we cant use bitcoin.

I think this is also one of limitation of bitcoin that we need internet to use it.

Part of the solution to this is to have bitcoins existing in physical form or in form of cash. And you could have some sort authorized organization, more like Central Bank, printing out different denominations of bitcoins on papers or any reliable material for buying things without the internet.
The paper or material will have Bitcoin private keys sealed on it. Once the seal is scratched off the paper will nolonger be in circulation.
To check for counterfeits or fakes just sms some code from the papers to the printing organization.

The fluctuations of Bitcoin price shouldn't affect this too much. If you buy 0.0003 paper sats to buy some food stuff for example and the price of Bitcoin goes up, you will be be given change in Bitcoin or fiat by the food stuff seller.

People are free to try this in their countries.
346  Economy / Economics / Re: As an Economist how do you tackle inflation? on: May 12, 2023, 10:53:11 AM
I simply would go for cheaper alternatives or even used stuff. Plus I would avoid buying things unnecessarily, only buy things according to their priorities.

If foreign rice has gone up so much probably due to exchange rate then buy locally made ones. Or replace it completely with corn, wheat, etc.

If you need a particular new phone due to its quality, go for the used one which could be up to 50% cheaper than the new. Buy used car instead of new etc.

There was a time I wanted to buy an office chair that has exactly what I need, I found some with very limited features and they were quite expensive... I latter got different parts together and gave someone to construct one with the exact features I'm looking for. I ended up paying way less (probably about 85% less) for a near perfect office chair.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: May 11, 2023, 04:08:54 PM
The movement of price index has clearly show that the price will not rise this year, is almost half a year now since the price drops, this is far beyond inflation and fiscal policy of the government, I think bitcoin is suffering heavy weight withdrawals and it might end up been this Stuart for the year.

Out of  100% of international market chats bitcoin is beneath the range price counts of crude oil, gas, gold and diamond, that's means bitcoin is far from rising soon.
What do you think?

Hope you are OK, my friend.
Bitcoin price has been rising. We have had close to 100% increase in price this year. It will continue to rise until +30,000, then it will drop below 25,000 and start to rise again until it hit new highs.
The price will increase shortly for the sake of this post to prove to you it's rising. Let's cross 30,000,is that okay?
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase on the defensive about these bitcoin ordinal centralized meme coins on: May 11, 2023, 03:50:43 PM
Ofcourse, it's important to let them know that they are being used to power up the price of something that is considered a hate symbol. That should discourage the victims from patronizing things like pepe, which will consequently ruin the value.  Being a hate symbol makes it an evil product. Evil product should be worthless rather than worth more.

Things like that are basically Nazi things and the nazis operate in both the left and right but tend to be more open in the right. They typically adopt dual/multiple meanings for their hate symbols/terms to make them hard to catch. There is even the Ape NFT. The pureblood is probably another recent nonsense with dual meaning which they use for the unvacinated & inbreeders(pure race).

It's also important to let the community know that blockchain should be mostly for light data rather than for storing pictures, videos, songs or other heavy files.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much does Bitcoin affect other cryptocurrency? on: May 11, 2023, 09:18:57 AM
Hello. A newbie is wondering some stuff   Grin

I am follow an account on Instagram that shows how much bitcoin and some other cryptocurrency´s are worth every 24 hours. and something I have noticed is almost every time bitcoin goes up many other also go up.
And when bitcoin goes down many other also go down, of course this don´t apply everyday and all currency´s.

...

..  ..

Are cryptocurrency holding each other hand in hand in someway or are they independent. It seems that they share something with each other that I don´t know anything about.

I am far away from an expert on this but I am sure many on this forum is and gladly hear what you guys & girls thinks about it.

Wish you the the best.
Best regards CC!

They are actually attached to the Bitcoin system like parasites are attached to their host. But some are not really that parasitic as they somewhat benefit Bitcoin, but Bitcoin can exist without them.
They are like blood sucking little creatures. You eat, they eat too. You starve they starve.

The solution is to carefully and gently detached the parasites from the host then they starve and die
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: May 10, 2023, 04:07:29 PM
Recently, I came to read this news

https://protos.com/spanish-police-rescue-crypto-investor-kidnapped-on-holiday/

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this was that one should not talk about his crypto investments with strangers or friends as it can pose various risks. If you are active on forums like bitcointalk and involved in trades, you should not give information which can help others relate to your identity.

In regards to the bolded part, people who understand Bitcoin/crypto and its rules already know that. Crypto space is public or trustless environment where users real identities should not be linked to their assets in open space. Only Anonymous users maybe linked to their assets.

Users private information that's not harmful should be private but their non-private information in their transactions/exchanges should transparent.
351  Economy / Economics / Re: Have a Income? Invest in Crypto or Not? Let's think realistically on: May 10, 2023, 09:51:06 AM
Greetings cryptomaniacs enthusiasts...

....

Well, my advice to you and others is to always contribute to good quality projects with promising future esp those you are passionate about. Your contribution could be financially or in other forms, and you will certainly reap what you sow in the projects. This is a universal law of sowing that cannot be stopped or changed. It's just that most people are not aware of it.

Failure starts when you become too attached to money rather than solving problems or developing projects. If you don't have money to contribute, then contribute your skills or help solve problems as it's equivalent to money. Money like it was said somewhere else is Work converted into "Potential Energy" to Power the Future
Here is a secret, how much stakes you have in crypto projects (or how much you benefit from crypto projects) depends on how much worthy contributions you have made. Some haven't contribute so much money but have made contributions that are worth more than trillions, and this kind of people benefit from this contribution financially or otherwise.  So, contribute alot and you will reap bountifully... and you wouldn't have to worry too much about charts, candlesticks, etc as Bitcoin/crypto will just work for you
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners Benefitting from the High Fees? on: May 09, 2023, 04:31:11 PM
Quote
High fees benefit the Bitcoin blockchain by incentivizing miners, prioritizing valuable transactions, and enhancing network security.
How true is this statement above. So are miners having a field day now that we are see ridiculously high fees? I read somewhere on this forum that the high fees seems like an attack on the bitcoin network but it seems not to make any sense with the above statement that proposes that high fees enhances network security.

Of all the options I read on dealing with the high fees someone suggested making a transaction at night time or during the weekend because they believe that the network will be less congested and the fees will be lower. Has anyone attempted this?

Don't believe everything you read online...That part was likely written by the unqualified.

Bitcoin derives it's security mostly from decentralization... Its users, developers, developments, softwares, infrastructures, miners, etc are supposed to be decentralized. The more decentralized, the better. Decentralized mining actually keeps the Network secure. The incentives & competitions are meant to keep them on the network, growing & in decentralized manner to prevent a hijack by central forces. High fees will only drive away much needed users and consequently reduce the number of miners on the network.  If the users are all driven away, there will be no fees for the miners and bitcoin will be worthless for them to value.

In regards to prioritizing on high fee transactions which it calls "valuable transactions", that makes little sense as low fee transactions could as well be considered valuable and should be taken seriously. An attacker with unlimited money printed out of thin air can just spam the network with bitcoins it does not value using high fee to delay important transactions.
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has become un-useable. Switch to altcoins or short sell on: May 09, 2023, 10:50:53 AM
OP  I can see from your name it is possible your are really from them. Are you trying to cause a FUD or what?. You are quickly at it singing praise of switching to other alt just because of the ordinals attack on bitcoin chain and here you are calling bitcoin un-useable when there are millions of transactions going on currently on bitcoin chain. It is fine and as a result of the attack on bitcoin chain, transaction prices skyrocketed which is not a new thing on blockchain that miners would prefer the higher transaction fee compared to the lesser. Anyways, thanks for your youtube video, as I had to get more of bitcoin because I saw a quick recovery and price boom in a short time.

That can't cause any fud because Bitcoin price will remain the way Bitcoin Master wants it.
Will soon be investigating the intention of ordinal, if it's evil then expect a punishment soon and the whole transaction issue will be settled, possibly without human intervention.
Meanwhile we will leave things this way for sometimes for developers and other members to learn their lessons.
The price will continue to be bullish.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing on: May 08, 2023, 04:49:38 PM
This is part of the consequences of blocksize increase.

Blockchain is designed specifically for paper-light data weighed according to their mass. But Fool said let us include iron, diamond, zinc, brass, and other heavy metals , which tend to have higher mass compared to their paper equivalents. This will actually increase the weight of the data, and lessen the number of "papers" that can be added to a Block/Container.
Well, fools who care more about money/fees would focus more on accepting the metals even though they are not supposed to be included, while ignoring the feeless papers which actually are the proper part of the Bitcoin Network... or are the proper assets for the network. If this game is from the enemy, he could win easily just by merely dangling the carrots to fools.

The community should work more on preventing heavy data on  Bitcoin Blockchain. Let the Blockchain be used for what it was designed for. They could build something else for the so called ordinals, ontop/within the Bitcoin System/Network
355  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much will you run your AC? on: May 08, 2023, 08:53:19 AM
If you wish to be more conservative with electricity, you could use some sort of "ice fan" that blows cool air (with moisture) once there is ice or cool water or both inside it. The fan is pretty cheap and consumes way less electricity.
You could always use your fridge to cool or freeze the water you wish to put inside the fan. Once the fan is turned on it blows cool air, due to the ice or cool water inside it.

You can check out this video to watch a device that works in similar manner:

356  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto in Indian Economy? on: May 05, 2023, 06:23:30 PM
India currently has the largest number of crypto users at over 100 million.  Nowadays, crypto has become very popular among the young people of India and many of them are involved in the crypto business.  How is it possible to raise so much awareness about crypto in a country so technologically and economically poor and will this current crypto enthusiastic generation of India could build up the future Indian economy to prosper or will it adversely affect the country's economy?

Bitcoin/crypto isn't that difficult to acquire considering it's peer-to-peer currency that can easily be found, acquired via the internet and is global. Besides Crypto must have been recommded, shared, promoted, spoken about on the internet and media to many. And it doesn't really cost that much to have, and has lesser barrier to entry...

There are several other factors that can contribute to countries having more users/holders than other countries. Being Economically or Technologically rich not really main factors because smart phones, internet are widely available in countries that seem poor and can be used for buying (many can afford to buy) and holding.
357  Other / Off-topic / Re: Portfolio Grading: Is It Useful? on: May 05, 2023, 10:32:43 AM
There are some platforms and services that are now offering crypto portfolio grading as a way to evaluate the performance of a portfolio. However, I have several friends (investors) who argue that its useless.

I was wondering if anyone here has used it? If so, did you find it helpful in making investment decisions? What criteria did it use or should use to grade Huh

Depends on what the grading is based on. If it's based on their past performances, it won't be a good idea to fully depend on that to judge their future performances as that could fail considering that there are lot of unserious projects that are mostly in Crypto space to make money or serve a selfish agenda.

It's important you or the graders choose those with sustainable or reliable future growth/development... and that are based on the right Bitcoin/crypto fundamentals or principles.
*There are growths that are unsustainable.
358  Economy / Economics / Re: Wind Power Has A Profitability Problem on: May 04, 2023, 04:47:39 PM
Meanwhile, a very strange paradox has emerged in the US wind energy market:
Quote
The wind energy market is stuck in this very strange paradox right now. We have the best long-term climate policy certainty ever, across all the largest markets, but we’re struggling through a period where the whole industry, particularly the supply chain, has been hit by issues that have culminated in destroying profit margins and running many of the top OEMs [original equipment manufacturers] and their component vendors into negative profitability territory.
Negative profitability territory is a more politically correct designation for the billion-dollar losses that the US wind power giants have been suffering for several years, despite the political importance of the climate change agenda and generous government subsidies in the campaign to eliminate dependence on fossil fuels.

I’m seeing is a colossal market failure

Against the backdrop of growing economic problems in the United States, this green environmental movement is becoming more and more like a large-scale scam to develop budget funds for an initially economically unviable idea.

Share your opinion on this matter.

That's why it's advisable never to be certain in the dark or without a bright shining "head light".
If your model of the World or existence is wrong, you will likely encounter similar issues.
They missed the fact that life/existence degrades when evil increases. Evil = "anything that creates problems and lowers the quality of existence"

Certainty increases when evil is little to zero, while uncertainty increases when evil is much. Evil darkens the mind, and Prediction/Calculation of a darkened mind is limited or full of errors like the error of missing the behaviors/nature of things in future supply chain , resources extraction, global pandemic etc
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing BTC to FIAT. FIAT is dying every single day. on: May 03, 2023, 02:36:53 PM
Look at $100k.

Now imagine owning $100k 20 or 30 years ago. Wow, that was a lot of cash! You could have bought a home, maybe a nice car and still have some money left in the bank.

Today... do the math and see what you can buy Grin

Inflation is killing FIAT every single day.

So stop comparing BTC to FIAT and see the true value of Bitcoin. Don't go "wow" when BTC hits $100k. Because $100k today doesn't value that much anymore. It's still low.

Given the poor FIAT value 1 BTC is terrible cheap these days. $30k in 2009 is not $30k in 2023. You need like $42k for the same purchasing power.

What I mean is... don't sell cheap when you do it because you might never see your BTCs again.

Sell only for your real needs.....

Interesting point actually. Because of this, Bitcoin Master would reduce his support for fiat/dollar and support Bitcoin more to rally for some times. This is impossible without the CREATOR of the Universe.

But I think people should use their profits to buy things that are necessary, affordable and good.  Buy affordable vehicles, instead of flashy cars, that can help you alot in your businesses ("good businesses", by the way). You probably could build houses (movable homes preferably) and rent them out.
You can consider them as investments, and use part of the profits generated from such investments to buy more bitcoins.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thief who stole $5M worth of crypto sentenced to 4 years in prison on: May 02, 2023, 04:22:38 PM
I'm OK with mixers as long as they are accountable and responsible. There should be fair rules that govern all such services rather than letting them operate in anarchy or in state of lawlessness.

Wish they are bound by the rules of Bitcoin, which were created on purpose. Part of the reasons the Transparency rule for example was created is to help the community or other people monitor/track transactions of mostly anonymous users, but if you don't want yours to be tracked, make sure they are immutable just in case something happens that needs to be investigated.
