1201  Other / Off-topic / Re: Graphics designers deserve more on: September 24, 2021, 02:49:11 PM
In our world today, I strongly believe graphics designers deserve more, because we are the brain behind brands, client needs to understand this job is not a easy one, The pay is too small also, Am a professional graphics designer, my experience has tought me not settle for less, Graphics designers all over the world needs to stop accepting poor payment just because they are looking for job.

Note: This post is what I feel not to cause misunderstanding on the forum, Thanks.

Depends on what you mean by "poor payment". If by that you mean lower payments, I'll assure you that's how to be competitive. If the graphic designers form a union to impose your idea, the food sellers who will probably need their services could also gang up to increase the prices of food in to be able to afford your services and possibly other services that discourages such competitive behavior... Food will become expensive and you will be tempted to increase your price again to be able to feed properly and survive.
1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin tipping on Twitter on: September 24, 2021, 10:40:52 AM
You can now get paid in bitcoin to use Twitter

Official link
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/09/23/you-can-now-get-paid-in-bitcoin-to-use-twitter.html

What do you think about this feature ?

Well, Bitcoin/crypto is probably the only currency you can use for something like that on a global scale. It would be quite difficult with even the most dominant fiat currencies of the world due to their nature as national currencies with the requirements for foreign users to be subjected to national rules for easy use of the fiat currencies.
As long as Bitcoin/crypto remains truely decentralized, permissionless, trustless, censorship resistant etc.. that won't be much of a problem. No one can stop you from using, buying and selling with it if you are not subjected to their personal rules or agenda
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zimbabwe minister urges citizens to embrace Bitcoin on: September 24, 2021, 10:11:18 AM

Interesting article. I wonder if the country still has problems with the massive inflation I read about it in the past... If it does, then citizens reasons for resorting to Bitcoin is a good one. But I hope it's used in a way they protects and helps their national currency.
1204  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is one of the saviors. on: September 24, 2021, 09:48:22 AM
we certainly hear a lot of people whose their lives change 180% because of Bitcoin

based on https://www.livebitcoinnews.com/venezuelans-turn-to-bitcoin-and-online-gaming-to-survive/

when government policies make them miserable, they find ways to survive.

Do you agree with Bitcoin is one of the saviors and are there any of us who have saved their economic lives since focusing on Bitcoin?

Honestly, I'm one of the people whose economic needs have survived because of Bitcoin  Grin

I'd rather say people were saved with Bitcoin by their true SAVIOUR, so they don't see Bitcoin as a GOD and begin to worship it or something. "GOD used Bitcoin, water, crocodile, tree etc to save me". I watched a video recently about a tribe that probably worship crocodiles because they believe it saved them... crocodiles became their idiol/gods. I wouldn't be surprised if same happen to people who think Bitcoin is their savior.

In regards to myself, if I didn't come across Bitcoin in the past , I would likely be doing other useful things and earning a living with fiats.
My staying here is mainly due to my interests, and I really think I would have more than what I'm benefitting from Bitcoin if I didn't encounter Bitcoin.    However, I'm really pleased I found Bitcoin, I'm thankful how we have benefitted each other so far in Bitcoin/crypto space.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: Our Dear Bitcoin and its price movement. on: September 23, 2021, 04:40:20 PM
A more profitable and safer strategy would be to buy significant dips with amount of money you can afford to risk. You may then sell bit by bit as price goes up in the future if you need some money for other important needs in your life. This model is safer and will likely minimize volatility caused by people buying or selling too much at the same time.   Your buying and selling strategy should be unpredictable for certain reasons
1206  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people go into prostitution? on: September 23, 2021, 04:00:36 PM
I agree that money or the lack of it is one of the reasons why people go into prostitution. But if you look deeper into it, you will see that most of those who use this as a reason have issues with self-worth, or are living in a situation wherein they are very desperate for money and no longer see any glimpse of hope to get out of their position.

I doubt they will stop if you give enough money to establish good businesses...unless the bond with the bad spirit that causes that is broken. They will likely continue in some other way, maybe high level one.
The entity that controls this world will be seriously weakened if that industry is destroyed. It's a very powerful tool for them. The humans are basically vessels to spread the spirit around and hold men captive.
1207  Other / Off-topic / Re: Want to use your desktop extensions on android? Use kiwi browser on: September 23, 2021, 03:34:20 PM
Wonder if one can still receive notifications when the browser is closed, that will help alot too.
It can possible if you subscribe it by email.
Ofcourse, will see if that is possible. Hopefully I can run a telegram extension for example and still be able to recieve notifications when the browser is closed. Will probably have time to go through the browser after Friday to see if that is possible. Hope to discover more very useful features.
I may send some "merit" after testing,
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eactalk-Decentralized information announcement system based on earthcoin blockch on: September 23, 2021, 03:14:46 PM
What exactly is stored on Blockchain and ipfs? I tend to think that Blockchain is more suitable for light data to avoid slowing things down or filling it up with data that it becomes too big or  difficult for participants to download/sync. I guess you could structure things in a way that participants can customize their nodes to host the amount of data they can carry and this would need to be incentived to encourage them to host as much data as possible in a sustainable manner.
And I actually prefer a moderated one or participants have the right to reject to host certain contents
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin suitable to become legal tender? on: September 23, 2021, 10:51:17 AM
In regards to the first point, I guess we could blame it on lack of physical Bitcoins or the use of virtual Bitcoin alone. You could face similar issue with fiat in countries that don't have much of their population online.
The problem is really not Bitcoin. You can build a safer space for your people to use it safely. The safe space could also include the ability to reverse Bitcoin transactions... which wouldn't affect the main Bitcoin network.

I haven't seen any compelling argument why Bitcoin should be rejected by people in countries like Venezuela. Should they reject Bitcoin while they accept their own national currency as legal tender? Which is more risky in terms of price volatility, Bitcoin or the fiat? Which is safer to save money on long-term?
I wish the post is balanced to help me understand how genuine your intention is.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.org hacked. on: September 23, 2021, 10:18:09 AM
I think that Cøbra started using using Cloudflare few months ago on his bitcoin.org website and hack happened after that because of some DNS flaws.

I never trusted Cloudflare and my question is should Bitcointalk forum continue using Cloudflare or start using some alternative option to avoid something like this happening?

Here is Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince statement bragging how cryptocurrency exchanges are also using Cloudflare:
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/09/13/cloudflare-ceo-says-crypto-exchanges-are-a-popular-target-for-cyber-attackers.html

With regret, I am (for now) admitting defeat on the DDoS front, and we will soon be using using Cloudflare to protect against DDoS attacks.
I especially dislike Cloudflare, which I'm almost certain is basically owned by US intelligence agencies.

PS
I really don't understand people who are still sending BTC to scammers like this  Roll Eyes 0.4 BTC gone with the wind, in scammers pocket.

It's possible that hackers who are not really interested in the money would do that and send coins to themselves . I'm not very convinced that lots of people will send money so easily to people they don't know, unless they find it really convincing probably by thinking they are popular people who post about Bitcoin.

It's also interesting how lots of such scams happen via centralized websites
1211  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: September 23, 2021, 09:45:21 AM
It's bad to accumulate wealth for selfish or wrong reasons. Better not to call it your own whether you have alot or not... That would mean using your wealth to help the needy and for the good of people/society. You can provide services, build good schools, industries with the wealth for the benefit of others. Alots of people do this to accumulate more wealth making it hard for everyone to afford their goods and services.

Religion simply means serving the CREATOR of Heaven and Earth in Holiness and Righteousness.
You are not serving the CREATOR if you accumulate wealth while others are in need or can't afford your goods and services that earn you the wealth.
1212  Other / Off-topic / Re: 40+ Freedom of Speech Quotes You’re Still Free to Read on: September 23, 2021, 09:14:04 AM
I couldn't read all the post because of time. Will probably read later. From the little have I seen I think you probably want a world where everyone is free to say whatever they want to say. To be honest, words are very powerful, it's as powerful as weapon of war. People who know this will confirm it to you too.
If you are a believer of JESUS, you would've known by now that calling someone a fool directly is condemned, same as other bad words. People who do such thing are actually cursing others. If you are not saved the curses will likely follow you if it's justified. We should be blessing people with our words not curse them. The kind of freedom of speech you are probably promoting will get society in serious trouble. We should be careful.

If you use the freedom of speech and create problems for society, I think there should be consequences for that. This should make people to be more careful with words.
For your information, all our deeds and actions are judged by the CREATOR whether it's done by the oppressed or elites. They never go unpunished. If anyone abuses his/her power, that person will definitely pay the price. So, we should do the right thing and let's see how the elite will abuse it without consequences
1213  Other / Off-topic / Re: Want to use your desktop extensions on android? Use kiwi browser on: September 22, 2021, 05:43:58 PM
Really interesting. Will be more pleased if it can help avoid downloading too many Android apps that can be downloaded as extentions and also have those that aren't available atall on Android. And I guess it will be more secure to use Android apps that are available on the Chrome Store.. . I avoided lots of Android Apps because of the kind of information they demand.    Wonder if one can still receive notifications when the browser is closed, that will help alot too.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polygon vs Solana. on: September 22, 2021, 04:35:44 PM
Solana has been getting the most buzz lately. A few months ago was the trending blockchain network. Solana has large institutional backing and this a major reason why they have been growing much faster than their competitors. I do agree that Solana is too centralized but this also enables them to have lower fees and faster speeds. DeFi users seem to prefer usability over decentralization so I expect Solana to continue to have an edge over Polygon.

The bolded part is the most important thing I need to know, which I have researched about for awhile now without success... though I'd still need to verify whether it's true or not .  If it's actually centralized, it shouldn't be in thesame league with the decentralized Blockchains because developing a true crypto project without compromising on Blockchain standards like decentralization is what matters. If they compromised on standards, they are no better than those who didn't compromise but are yet to succeed.

To be honest, I will give it to Truely Decentralized cryptocurrencies that did succeed without compromising on standards
1215  Economy / Economics / Re: DO I NEED TO LOOSE THE ONE I HAVE GOTTEN OR LOOK TO GAIN MORE? on: September 22, 2021, 04:03:11 PM
It depends on what you mean by lose. Is it losing to others in a competition (which is basically what happens in nature to competitors that are probably not well prepared), or is it misplacing your things probably due to mistakes, accidents, carelessness etc?
I think life is full of competition which is necessary to encourage us to do well and be better. So, in a competition, losing could also help people know what to improve about themselves and do better next time. Besides, it's not easy to win all the time. I wonder if there is anyone on earth who has won 100% of the time. But Ofcourse, it's important to be the best in all the good things we do.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we pay for banks and their risk taking? on: September 22, 2021, 03:23:18 PM
Not very sure about the claims but I won't be too surprised if they're true due to how centralized (plus problems associated with centralization) the whole system is.
It's not just the risk you mentioned, there is also risk of debasing people's money via currency inflation, which isn't that possible with True Cryptocurrency because of decentralization/self-custody, transparency, limited-suppy/anti-inflation, and other important features associated with true crypto.

In regards to the last part of your post, it is not just a decentralized digital system but one that allows users to print their money/keys on physical objects they can control, like paper, and it's important that users are able to fully control their money digitally. The physical currency is actually one of the important part of fiat...Hope it's still continued and be useful alternative to digital version when it becomes necessary to use money physically.
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: How would the ecosystem change if the fees came back to the user after 1 year? on: September 22, 2021, 10:45:00 AM
We have transactions fees, to avoid creating tons of transactions and increase the blockchain size to a extreme amount.

Those transactions fees are sent to the next user who is the miner.

How would the economy of a coin would change if instead of sending the transaction fee to be mined, the transaction fee was frozen and 1 year after it it would be sent back to the wallet. The user wont lose that money, but still can't keep making tons and tons of transactions to spam the blockchain.

Interesting. Don't you think this would be exploited by spammers who could spam as much as they want probably with borrowed  fees knowing that they will eventually recover their money back when their frozen/locked fees are released.
One or more crypto networks probably burn their fees, I wonder what you think about that. I actually prefer such fees to go into some sort of decentralized liquidity pool for controlling currency supply with predetermined rule that helps maintain the scarcity or anti-inflationary feature of the currency.
1218  Economy / Economics / Re: New regulation in South Korea has forced several exchanges to close on: September 22, 2021, 09:59:43 AM
I wonder if this affects S. Koreans who use foreign exchanges,... if not, I guess rather than closing down, the exchangea should seek for licenses to operate in other countries, then the people from the country could continue with them..
I couldn't access the article in order to properly understand the issues/demands.
They might not be affected but the problem is that they might not be able to make withdrawals or conversions in their country since there's little to no exchanges available unless those remaining exchanges starts operating nationwide.

I guess they could use the peer-to-peer exchanges/wallets to make to conversions. There are several of them but I hope they can use the decentralized ones more.
They could have their funds in Bitcoin or in one of the main stablecoins then gradually convert their them to national currency when they need to spend them.
1219  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Is Bothering Your Mind Now? on: September 22, 2021, 09:37:02 AM
Did you put in more than you can afford to lose, or you are just too attached to price/bitcoin?
Always remember not to invest what you can't afford to lose especially in this time of uncertainty.
And here is an important secret, when you see someone posting that Bitco*n is going to crash, don't believe it, ask them why he/she thinks so, to be sure he/she is not intentionally trying to crash it or encourage the crash. There is a mind-control or domino-like matrix effect that spread like wild fire coming from the evil entity who rule over people... you should be as strong as possible in order not to get infected and participants (intentionally/unintentionally) in his/their agenda. Thankfully, the entity has been trying to create that wildfire-like effect but there is one or few people with strong faith they can't infect. They are the reason why much of the "forest" isn't getting burned. You have to find them and Listen to them more. Avoid listening to the bad ones.
Hope you understand this.
1220  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm sharing my experience of harassment (two years) by cops in Aspen, CO... on: September 22, 2021, 09:11:40 AM
Want another reason as to why this American government is corrupt and should be banned from the creation of currency ASAP? (Please don't censor me as I truly want as many people to see what this corrupt government is capable of to a civilian)

https://pastebin.com/2VkmsESH

https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXRpUAWfc6dkDGUVaKhWgStFPkYJPwR2jwbsGptTv6YMo/

Trade your fiat currency for BTC (not financial advice) as this government has proven time and time again that it
will use its own fraudulent currency to intimidate/persecute an innocent American citizen. The harassment has
gone on for two years now. Daily at my work or whenever I go out with my family.

These cowards truly deserve to be exposed.

Cops have rights to interrogate anyone if its needed but they can't simply stalk you and follow you everywhere you go and instead of complaining it here better go to the station near you or just seek the help of legal advisor, they will help you to get rid of this soon.
Laws are only applied in papers and now in Videos/cameras .

But aside from those? lol Cops has all the rights behind those 2.

so accept it or not but they can do everything they wanted against us.

I believe they have rules guiding their conducts while doing their jobs. The good ones will follow the good rules and still succeed no matter the task. It is important they are concerned about the feelings of those they are "checking out" especially if they are innocent.

Always remember that part of their main job is to secure and keep people/society safe. It's a big sacrifice they are undertaking for the sake of others. They should be supported, and they should try to do their jobs without breaking the just law.
I believe the GOD fearing ones will do the jobs well even if they follow the good law.
Sociey needs truely GOD fearing ones or the Cops have to be strongly bounded by good rules/contract which if they violate there should be consequences (Good behaviors should be rewarded) . I believe that will make them better cops if they're willing to do what is right
