1241  Economy / Economics / Re: Mental models for bitcoin on: September 16, 2021, 10:11:24 AM
To make sure sense of the Bitcoin Network, I sometimes compare it to a living human body composed of lots of living cells acting as nodes and working together in harmony. They work to keep the body alive and functioning. No anarchy or choas because they guided the right rules/principles
1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar supporters destroy Bitcoin ATM in El Salvador on: September 16, 2021, 09:47:33 AM
Astounded by the amazing success of Bitcoin implementation in El Salvador, anti-social elements sponsored by the USD lobby have started vandalizing and destroying the Bitcoin ATMs installed by the government. The Bitcoin implementation has proceeded relatively smoothly and this has angered those who were expecting it to fail. I don't expect them to stop with this. The next step may be rioters beating up anyone who is using Bitcoin and vandalizing shops that accept BTC as a payment mode.

Interesting.
If this is true, it's clear the Spirit behind it isn't a good one. It's evil spirit. Says alot about the currency that is prefer by evil spirits for New World Order entities.
Decentralized currency weakens their power and control.
1243  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Are You Developing Yourself In Life? on: September 16, 2021, 09:36:05 AM
Hello,
This idea just came to me and I felt that sharing how we are developing ourselves, irrespective of the current economic situations could help those who are confused about the directions of their life to find light, realign their thoughts and get clarity.
I will start by saying I am more digitally skilled, which tilt towards the area of digital marketing space.
I am currently trying to learn graphics design using photoshops and maybe add video editing to it (I have basic knowledge of this).

Why are am I doing this? Well, for the sake of making money with the skill of course, not only in my country Market but in international space because.
So how are you developing yourself in life? Please share and don't forget that you might help those who are lost find clarity on what to do in their life.

If the main goal for developing yourself is to make money, you could do any thing within that field for money and will probably get discouraged if the money isn't coming. Thing will become much easier if you focus more on doing things you are talented in and passionate about... remain consistent, use that to benefit your community. Money will definitely come if people can't do without your services.
1244  Economy / Economics / Re: How to protect from inflation? on: September 16, 2021, 09:14:11 AM
Banks are a good protection to inflation but the problem is there is close to zero profits with banks so it's not a good thing to go that route for inflation protection, bitcoin can be a likely candidate but it's inherent volatility is going to be a problem for people that have weak hands. Real estate and gold could do the work just fine but the problem is that both are really expensive.
Inflation is related to the demand and supply of currency.
One of the important countermeasures that countries have taken to control inflation is to control the supply of money to adapt it to the demand for money, and to reduce the pressure of currency depreciation and inflation.

Something important to note: if government does not print money while there is shortage of goods and services, there will still be inflation. Saying this so people don't think it's only money printing that causes inflation. There are couple of factors aside printing money that can contribute to inflation.
1245  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a possibility of a Country to ban access to Crypto games? on: September 15, 2021, 04:28:26 PM
Right now, Government of my country is in a process of trying to track players/account holders of a one crypto game to ask for tax because of fast and good earning rate, and I think it's not possible. So in my conclusion if they can't tracked players, is there a possibility of a country to ban this NFT game? I want to know everyone's opinion.

So a government bans a game simply because it can't be taxed, even if the game is good/safe?
Well, if the game is dependent on the government to function it'd probably be ok to tax it. Otherwise the best the government could do it to beg the users to contribute part of their earnings to society/government.
1246  Other / Off-topic / Re: Minelivization -- I have a new dream on: September 15, 2021, 03:59:08 PM
I have a new dream;
we hold an updated set of truths to be self-evident
---that could actually be achieved, than just a dream
---that is not vaguely up to someone's interpretation
---that could keep up with the new era, the new technology, and the new economy.

I have a new dream;
all men are not created equal, but created free.
Free to be who I want to be: with little or great power comes great or little responsibility.
Free to do what I desire to do, and free to reject those undesired.
Free to acquire knowledge.
Free to achieve the best of myself while being free from any resouce constraint.
Free to choose my career, and free to change it at any time.
Free to establish consensus on truth.
Free to choose what I look like, how tall, how thin, perhaps green skin with 3 arms.
Free to speak while also free to select who can hear and who cannot.
Free to choose who I pay, and pay only who I appreciate.
Free to own, move, sell, give, lend, recall my own asset.
Free to choose who is my friend, and perhaps who is the family too.
Free to choose who to work for and who to work with.
Free to choose what rules to obey.
Free to choose what laws to obey.
Free to choose what laws to break
---especially physics laws.

....

As long as good rules/laws can't be broken. We can actually know which is good or bad if the rule is based on the Golden commandment/rule of Love for our CREATOR and people. If you love the CREATOR you will not abuse/misuse HIS Creations. You treat all well and in love. The problem with playing games that go against the Golden rule of Love is that once you get used to it, you will try it in physical World and you become a serious problem to society that's based on the Rule and will likely end up in prison.

So I prefer we play game that helps us become useful and good members of our societies.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs for physical assets - the future of NFTs?? on: September 15, 2021, 03:23:47 PM
Ofcourse, the physical part of NFT is one of the most important thing that will make a difference. NFT backed by physical asset can be used as collateral online/offline... But I wish the company (4k) provides private vaults they can't even access, so that once someone acquires an NFT that is backed by physical asset that is in the vault the new owner automatically controls the keys that can unlock the vault. If an owner is far away, he/she can send the keys to the company to have the asset transferred to him/her. With this, you fully control your asset once a physical asset backed NFT is acquired.. I prefer a non-custodial company.
1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good man/woman leaves an inheritance on: September 15, 2021, 02:58:09 PM
An old proverb says “A good man/woman leaves an inheritance to his children's children…”. Since the inception of the world, whenever a person dies, their personal assets like money, possessions and property are either shared as stated in a will or in accordance with the law of succession where the deceased leaves no will. In most cases, the beneficiaries include may their spouse(s)/civil partner, child or children and grandchildren. In other cases, their brothers and sisters, parents or parent, nephews and nieces, favorite charity organization and state (where there is no relative) get to be the beneficiaries.

I recon that in the coming years folks are going to will their wallet seed and passphrases to their family members, their favorite charity, and even their kids unborn. As an investor or crypto trader is this a legacy you would want to leave behind?

Guess the main reason why people would want to Will their bitcoins is due to the issue of coin getting lost forever when their owners passed on. Too many coins getting lost when their owners passed on not really fair. Would be nice if the Will is default feature on all users wallets any reputable person within the Bitcoin Network can participate in. Once the user stops responding to some sort of signal on the wallet for some times, the coins get released to next-of-kin, and the participant earns some reward.

1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Whale hoards bitcoin, will the market run out of BTC to buy? on: September 15, 2021, 10:15:20 AM
As long as Bitcoin remain very divisible, whale holding much of the supply without selling short-term (for example) will only add more to the scarcity of Bitcoin, make smaller unit worth more and become enough for buyers. I think it's important to have more people holding bitcoins rather than concentrating supply in the hands of few people who could collude to cause problems to market.
Better they are independent holders/whales who can't collude or sell at thesame time to hurt the market.
1250  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Experience Visiting A Bank For Loan As An Entrepreneur on: September 15, 2021, 09:42:58 AM
I Once went to the bank to pitch one of my products (a lean startup under Pantakers) to one of the popular Banks in my country, after talking about the partnership type and showing my prototypes and idea, carelessly the lady just looked straight at me and said.

I don't understand what you are talking about.

You can't have access to any facility either in loan or fund from the bank".

This statement almost killed me immediately my mood spoil entrepreneurs in Africa especially in my country are suffering oo, with tears in my eyes .
I left there knowing that God that gave me the idea will water it and those banks will one day come and beg to invest in my idea.

Maybe you were treated that way because you were judged by your appearances. And I won't be surprised if the lady thinks the way you think about your continent/country hence the treatment.
I have observed that people who think their society or people are bad typically treat their society and people bad intentionally or unintentionally. So they don't give their best and people use them as example why their society is bad.
1251  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can One Become Rich As A Salary Earner? on: September 15, 2021, 09:27:57 AM
Can one become rich as a salary earner?Without other or additional means of income, and without corruption?

Depends on what you mean by being Rich. If it means having enough for your needs and never lacking, then I believe you can as long as you spend the salary wisely and don't use it too satisfy your selfish desires. To be honest, the more you use your money to benefit others the more it comes to you. This is for those who believe.

I would have also suggested investing in businesses and other things but you limited it to just the salary.
1252  Economy / Economics / Re: Boost of a countries economy on: September 15, 2021, 09:07:56 AM
You shouldn't be too worried about that as long as you use crypto the way it's supposed to be use. If you use a well decentralized and safe cryptocurrency, you can still exist within the system, contribute to the economy and the government won't have any legitimate reason to stop you as long as you are not causing problems. Remember, one of the purposes of crypto is to help people survive in very uncertain times not to compete with the system. I prefer that they do not see anyone as threat.
1253  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is of Immense importance to you? on: September 14, 2021, 06:03:24 PM
I believe it's the spiritual aspect. It is written: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you".— Matthew 6:33. It totally works
1254  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your strategies to avoid electronic devices before going to bed? on: September 14, 2021, 05:40:13 PM
I probably do things that completely take away attention from the devices. But I would plug my ear with ear plug first in order to be able to focus my attention in my thoughts and avoid distractions. I don't know about others, but I can sometimes go into trance and see things in my mind as if I'm watching videos. Distraction messes that up. Those are some of the things that can entertain and keep me busy whenever I'm not using my phone. Infact it's way better, clearer and enjoyable than using my phones and other electronics. I sleep off when I get tired.
* I keep jotters close by incase I recieve something important I don't want to forget.
1255  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin differs from gold on: September 14, 2021, 05:10:40 PM
I guess by stable you mean the price fluctuation isn't extreme. But I wonder what you mean by "it's regulated by government". What part of gold is regulated exactly, is it the price, supply, how it's mine, etc? Bitcoin regulation is code based and that somewhat affects the price too. A kind of regulation that keeps price fluctuation moderate without compromising on its deflation should be decentralized.

What exactly is centralized about Gold? You mean how modern humans have hoarded and centralized it, or is it about supply and mining regulations? How does centralizing our collective resources sound to you, fair? If it was suppose to be centralized, our CREATOR would have created it centralized. By the way, Our natural resources are naturally decentralized and artificially centralized. It's more like saying water is centralized because of artificial water reservoirs... Or seas, rivers that humans claim to control/own.
You can mine, sell and hold gold depending on where you live. Maybe it's centralized in the part of your world. I know of places where you mine natural resources freely.

There are things that have already been taken care of by Bitcoin, like supply regulation. Other regulations should be handled in similar manner. Centralized government regulations will only ruin it.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: De-Fi Protocol/Governance Failures Questions on: September 14, 2021, 03:08:34 PM
It boils down on how decentralized things are on Ethereum. I do believe it should be built in such a way that all decentralized applications are not too dependent on Ethereum to the extent of not able to exist without it if the network cease to exists. They could exist in modules, detached from the main network and still able to flourish independently.

In regards to governance, it should be set on solid foundation that are based on Bitcoin/Blockchain principles. A decentralized governance can only work without discord if it's based on set of fair/right rules that do not compromise on the principles. Everyone is welcome to contribute or solve problems as long as their contributions do not violate the rules. Useful Contributions that solve important problems can be implemented by the community
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 14, 2021, 10:45:15 AM
Another problem I observed recently that could contribute to high food price is Lies and Rumors. If you bombard the ignorant ones with lies that things are high while they not, the foolish ones would believe without investigation, this will give the greedy ones (and those who can't compete) the opportunity to increase prices without any justification. I think real competition always take care of this though,as the increase is "artificial"

I remember someone claiming that his beef is expensive because 1 Cow has more than tripled in price, I quickly investigated and discovered that a cow is still at normal price, way below the price the beef seller claimed.

Always make sure you buy things at the price they are really worth to avoid contributing to the inflation. This will also make you a wise spender when everyone is wasting his/her money and having less while complaining for more money to buy/spend more recklessly.

There are seasons when certain foods are typically expensive, after that they become cheap or less than what they were worth before. This should be considered too.
Prices remain OK here.
1258  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 14, 2021, 10:11:49 AM
They would be able to effectively do that in places they properly control.    That's why you need to be true cryptocurrency enthusiasts and know how to be independent and survive without them.
Unfortunately the foolish ones have been fighting lots of the contributions in Crypto from those who foresaw situations like that. Sometimes I see them as traitors and hope they change.
Everyone should be aiming for true independence from the system if they want to survive what is Really coming. "The best time to plant a tree was 20years,another best time is now".
Let the eye, ear, mouth, legs and other part of the body work in harmony together in Crypto space rather than working for the ruthless foreign enemy that dislike them.
1259  Other / Off-topic / Re: Traditional Banks Vs Ponzi Schemes. on: September 14, 2021, 09:51:27 AM
Interesting.
Before I started judging this in my mind, I was wondering if same can be applied to Bitcoin (what will happen if everyone decides to withdraw his/her coins) so I don't sound like a hypocrite, then I realize that unless people sell their bitcoins and Bitcoin demand decreases, it won't be affected much if people start withdrawing from custodial Bitcoin platforms.

If what you describe is true, especially the part about banks unable to pay all investors/depositors if they decide to withdraw at once, then I guess it's better we keep it silent to avoid panic that will cause them to fold like typical ponzi. Typically ponzi are not very sustainable and moral though, because they seem to gurantee investors that they their money will be greatly multiplied at a specific time... While banks only give depositors what they deposited with little to no Interest. It will take mismanagement, lack of transparency, lack of accountability etc to make them default
1260  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about the refundable ICOs? on: September 14, 2021, 09:16:02 AM
I'll probably not invest if the coins aren't censorship resistant, meaning they can't be seized by the entity that controls them. If the stablecoins are centralized and controlled centrally, they could be easily seized by those who control them whenever they want.
I guess you prefer stablecoin to avoid situations where investors money becomes more or less valuable when it's refunded. If that's the case how do you handle a situation where a stablecoin is devalue against Bitcoin or any currency the investor sent you money from? Would you consider paying Interest or something to avoid any potential conflict?  If you use a censorship resistant coin like Bitcoin, you probably could agree with the investors that they will be paid exactly how much they contribute in Bitcoin, whether it goes up or down. This should give the investors who accept the Terms peace of mind knowing that the ICO fund will not be seized by governments that do not like ICO.

I also would want such Smart-contract Fund with feature that gradually release funds to developers based on how well they have used part of the fund released to them by the smart contract. This should happen automatically.
