3401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Novacoins on: February 22, 2013, 04:11:33 PM
A simple question, why novacoin price is so high?? It's really premined or it have chances to be something in the future??
For wath I can read novacoin combines the litecoin and ppcoins, so if it has both advantages the idea is good, but if it is premined why are people buying them??  Huh

You haven't been reading, have you? Look for the other 5-6 threads, recent at that.

3402  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] *FANS* for Sapphire 5830 xtreme's on: February 22, 2013, 04:09:53 PM
I assume the regular non-xtreme Sapphire's use the exact same fan?  anyway, I need 4 of these to get them ready to resell (well, make that 5, in case another breaks down in the next month or so)..   Most of my 5830's I've been running fanless @ 0.95v for a while now..

anyone have a batch they'd want to sell, or could direct me to some guy on ebay?

thanks

Measure the diameter, height and bolt pattern and go here: http://myworld.ebay.com/cooler_shop/&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2754
Don't forget to match the plug ends and wire length. I bought many fans for Nvidia and AMD from them.

He doesn't have any for the sapphire 5830s Wink
I've looked.

Did you use your fan dimensions or just look for the name? I used the dimensions to match up the fans on my Diamond 5830's. They were a little shorter in height but worked fine.
You can also email him if you haven't.

3405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: flags for gtx 650 ti? on: February 21, 2013, 11:11:25 PM
I recommend not mining on nVidia. Not only is it WAY slower and obviously less efficient than an AMD GPU, you will most likely decrease the lifespan of your card more than the few cents you would make from the mining.

Just ordered a butterfly jalapeno Grin
Uggh, You should have REALLY done some reaserch before ordering one of those, Have fun waiting 4+ months
I've already been waiting for three

People can't be bothered to read, dontcha know?  Cool
3406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitinstant customer support a joke on: February 21, 2013, 11:09:54 PM
Your word processor put all your periods at the end of your text instead of between sentences. You might wanna download a patch or something.

Noobs should practice a little more patience it would go a long way towards future credibility customer support has to deal with impatient demanding asses being smelly asses all day long so no wonder they don't give a rats ass next time try to be a little more patient one day it may be you..............
3407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: flags for gtx 650 ti? on: February 21, 2013, 10:50:23 PM
Cgminer is a false positive.

That site DOES list the GTX 650 ti, learn how to read please.
I dont see any 650's listed, Lots of 560's tho
Regardless, You should expect about 80-100mh/sec

Based on same GK106 as 660ti which I believe is a neutered 670? It's not worth ruining your GPU.
3408  Economy / Lending / Re: $1000-2000 of BTC Loan on: February 21, 2013, 07:01:23 PM

Why not sell it?

Definitely another option. I do love the mac though and kind of want to keep it. Im happy to put it on the line for a while, as a loan, as I know I can pay it back.
[/quote]
Thing about shelving it as collateral, will it be worth anything say if you defaulted halfway into the loan?
Sacrifice for your dreams, sell, sell sell!

Haven't you done your forum reading?
3410  Economy / Lending / Re: $1000-2000 of BTC Loan on: February 21, 2013, 06:56:53 PM
Is it because im willing to show pictures and proof of purchase? is that what makes this such a blatant scam?

*sarcasm*

See sig for reasons why.

Ok. Point made, I see where your coming from. Although I hope with these pics things are starting to add up.

Still nobody answered my question about whether the mac would be simply kept as collateral or is that whoever lends me the money is going to expect actually use the mac? Are there any TRUSTWORTHY members who are POTENTIALLY interested in helping?

Why not sell it?
3411  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: 300%-return 3-year loan request on: February 21, 2013, 06:06:44 PM
Would you be willing to put up your mortgage as collateral?

Don't see any other way someone will lend a newbie $30,000.

If he owns a house, why not refinance or get a home improvement loan?
3412  Economy / Lending / Re: $1000-2000 of BTC Loan on: February 21, 2013, 05:10:26 PM
I really don't understand why you can't comprehend something as basic as taking a picture and uploading it.  You know how to buy/sell BTC and you can't figure this out?  Seriously.  This took me 2 min.  If I was looking for a loan I would post a picture of something I would be willing to send the person giving me the loan.  This item would have to be worth at least DOUBLE the amount of the loan.  You take a piece of paper and you write your name on it and put today's date on it and post it here.  Like this.

Do not says it stolen without proof. I can provide proof of purchase without a problem but not to any old random person.

Photo as requested is coming up.

It really seems that most, if not all of you are simply here to claim scam...because many loan requests ARE scams.

3413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Walkthroughs on: February 21, 2013, 05:08:31 PM
This is absolutely amazing...I should have been into this since I told my friend who has now become one of the writers for Bitcoin magazine.  Alas...I've finally got some skin in the game.  I fully intend to become a part of this community...and when my hemp farm becomes operational, bitcoin may be a welcome exchange for some of my wares (like a hemp home...hempcrete, checkitout!).

And the fact that some of the value of this currency has been derived from my most loved plant, makes this all the better.

Anyway, back to the question...is building a mining rig worthwhile right now, or is the complication factor such that it is better to trade straight currency for bitcoin?  In other words, where should I be spending my money right now on bitcoin...it's such a volatile market, but I see infrastructure being built, and Forbes articles, pointing this in the right direction...so what should us newbies do, build a rig and mine in a pool, or buy and hope to hell it takes off even more...like it is?

Do your research!

3415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to do some Litecoin Mining, not sure if its even working? on: February 21, 2013, 03:55:06 PM
Yes, Ive read most of the threads on the site about this, about using p2p mining, scryptminer, minerd, pool's miner, autosolo etc, Ive tried everything to get some 3rd party mining tools to work and Ive even tried to just join a pool using the litecoin client, but it seems its not working. I cant ever seem to find some .bat file people talk about, let alone know how to create one, or a cfg file.

It was so painless to setup GUIminer to work with Slush's pool for btc, Ive had no such luck with ltc.

I appreciate your extreme patience with me, but I want to use the CPU on my desktop to mine some ltc. Im even happy to do it with the basic litecoin client, which Ive downloaded and it has the whole blockchain up to date.

The only way I can get anything to work at all is if I just select Solo Mining, and Start Mining. Then I see my CPU usage on all 4 cores shoot up to 100%.

But Ive left it running for a while like this, and I dont see any progress or status updates, or anything generated.

It just says: Accepted: 0 Rejected: 0 Speed: N/A

If its working like this (please tell me), and will eventually produce something, thats OK. If not, I guess I need some guidance.

If you can super hand hold me through this (ideally getting me into a ltc pool, I think Ive registered for like 4 already - pretend Im a not very bright 7 year old), Ill donate some btc your way!

Read more and try a different miner.
3416  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: 300%-return 3-year loan request on: February 21, 2013, 02:39:51 PM
Okay, so you got concepts and designs...

"probably worth a few million Euros (EUR)."

You need to justify that. There's already a service like what you mentioned. https://silentcircle.com/ How is SecuriNet different? How do you plan to market this service? What parts of this service (if any) will be open source? Is it a native app, browser extension, or webapp?

There's really tons of questions for this alone, and this is the least ridiculous proposal.

@Anticipher: Hey guys, PGP and Truecrypt are going to be broken by this guy!!!1111

@Last [business secret]: So you're developing an open source libertarian message board..

@SSeALL: A custom linux distro on something comparable to the IronKey?

@Bit the Coin: I don't think you've seen the FBI's report on Bitcoin.

You are certainly the Dank of cryptography.

While I'm all for starting a new business, it needs to be sound. Lately it seems noobs want to do just this but use others money so they have zero risk. I would advise sigh up for a few CC's, grab the cash and start things rolling on your own. Jumping around with several "plans" isn't a way to garner faith in your project, IMHO. Sound business plans will also increase your odds of a traditional loan.
If things still look promising, then approach potential investors.

3418  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Don't deal with Pipesnake without escrow on: February 20, 2013, 11:30:09 PM
You sold video cards and other pretty much low value items. Show me where you traded $10k without an escrow.

Always use protection.
Are you even an adult? You typed: "I'll be sure to check up on this warning thread, Bitchcuntress, 6 months from now and see if I'm still the one on your scam radar.  And I will laugh and drink wine.

Avast Ye!"

 Roll Eyes

Low value items?

250btc in one transaction.  More than enough to buy 1000 ASICminer shares (at IPO value).  Stop quoting in USD you fucking dolt.

You've called me out as a scammer and I have clearly shown you, and the community, you are wrong. No you have not.  And a dumbshit to boot.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Good luck taking possession of your shares boy.
3419  Economy / Lending / Re: 36BTC loan for SO's car accident with repayment with 6.5% interest in 14 days. on: February 20, 2013, 11:13:51 PM
Since it just happened, it won't go to collections for quite a while and then only you don't make an earnest effort to repay. Set up payments with the hospital.
3420  Economy / Lending / Re: 36BTC loan for SO's car accident with repayment with 6.5% interest in 14 days. on: February 20, 2013, 11:06:07 PM
My girlfriend just got into a car accident yesterday and needed an emergency operation for a fractured collarbone (the other vehicle rear ended her hard at a stoplight after skidding on ice). Since her work isn't very good in terms of job quality and the benefits plan only covered a fraction of the bill, and her family and I have given everything we could to help foot the bill. I even drew out a bank loan ($4000) but the bank won't let me borrow any more on such a short notice.

So I am turning to the only place I know that can help us out in a very tough time.. I am looking for a 36BTC loan, which I will convert to the necessary $956 to help my girlfriend out... She means the the world to me. I have to help her, because I know if I were in the hospital bed she would be doing all she could to help me.

After taking out the loan, I will get my monthly paycheck in 14 days on the 6th of March (my main source of income is I work full time as the CTO of a mid size firm, been there for 7 years so it's steady income). So I am offering a 6.5% interest on the loan, which is about half of the interest that is required because the hospital would otherwise go to the collection agency by policy, which is (11%+$20).

Please consider the loan, you can PM me and I can even provide my eBay account or other reputation resources, but I will only share personally identifying details with very trusted members or moderators of the forum.. Please respond before February 26, because that's when the hospital will go to the collections agency. Sorry if this is very rushed but I'm just trying to do all I can for the person I care about most..

Why don't you set up a payment schedule with the hospital? No collections! Didn't she have insurance?
