“Mayweather has statistics on fights of 50 wins and zero losses, he is the greatest in boxing and he wants to fight with the same champion who did not lose a single fight, with Khabib, everything is fine, but now we have Tony Ferguson on the line. We said a long time ago: let us finish with Tony, after that we will work with [the team of Ukrainian boxer Vasily] Lomachenko for six months, then there will be a boxing fight. We offer any day anywhere, with only one condition: 11 rounds in boxing and one in mixed martial arts (MMA).[/i]

Source https://www.mmanews.com/khabibs-father-proposes-special-rules-bout-with-floyd-mayweather/
This is turning into a shit show right now but I cannot blame the father for capitalizing on his son's momentum and growing popularity. Almost everyone is following the McGregor playbook and the Khabib team is in a great position to call the shots. They better win against Tony Ferguson or all these talks will be wasted.
3462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Will It All Slow Down For IEOs and What Will Replace Them ? on: January 26, 2020, 08:47:41 AM
Reading the post reminded me again of what happened to IDAX. There were many projects that came out accusing them of faking the volume for their IEO and one of them was a project I promoted before - CryptomarketAds. A few months later, we read news that IDAX exit scammed.

Knowing the fact that IEOs are on a decline, some exchanges were clever enough to make token sale on exchanges sounds fresh/new. What I've seen so far are Security Token Offering (STEO), Order Book Exchange Offering (OEO), Initial DEX Offering (IDO), and I'm pretty sure there are more weird names out there.

IEOs (or whatever names exchanges call them), I think, is the last stage in the "evolution" of token sales. I cannot see any other forms at the moment.

3463  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Anyone with Brave Browser? on: January 26, 2020, 05:41:22 AM
~ But unfortunately may napansin lang akong hindi magandang function, if you will compare Brave to Google Browser mas kakaunti lang yung lumalabas na info when you are searching sa Brave browser unlike Google there are lots. ~
DUckduckGo ang default search engine ng Brave which is smaller kumpara sa Google kaya ganyan.

~

If not, Brave ang magandang alternative.

3464  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Babala] Coins.ph SMS Phishing scam. on: January 26, 2020, 05:23:47 AM
Compromised yung SMS service provider ng coinsph. According to them, na-report na nila yung issue at nag-conduct din sila ng sarili nilang investigation.

edit:
Move your topic to the Pamilihan board
3465  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Ubisoft Supports Crypto on: January 26, 2020, 04:57:53 AM
3466  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PH Lending History/Summary (as of Jan. 26, 2020) on: January 26, 2020, 04:32:03 AM
Salamats.

Updated na kahit wala pang confirmation. Mukhang may ibang pinagkakaablahan si inthelongrun ngayon kaya matatagalan siguro bago mag-confirm.
3467  Local / Pamilihan / Re: How I Got Tricked and Lost all my Cryptos stored in Coins.ph on: January 26, 2020, 04:14:57 AM

3468  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: ETH - 1ST QUARTER PRICE PREDICTION GAME (2020) on: January 25, 2020, 06:14:40 PM

For my prediction, Eth will be $201 by the end of Q1
3469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Myetherwallet(Mew) Site: Previous version is better than current version ? on: January 25, 2020, 05:59:31 PM
I'm not sure what your issue really is. MEW simply added new ways to create/access wallet.

Did you not save the private key of your old wallet somewhere? MEW did gave a notice before that they will discontinue the vintage mew. You have an ample time to simply copy the private key and stored it somewhere safe. If you did that, you would not have any issue now accessing your old wallet.

If the above wasn't the case and you simply want the convenience of having to view your PK quickly, the best option perhaps is to create a wallet by Keystore File. It requires more step but you should be able to see your PK using that method.
3470  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hackers and their use of mixing services on: January 25, 2020, 04:45:26 PM
Its true mixing services are great opportunities for hacker to hide themselves. But it doesn't mean mixing services are encouraging hackers to hack others fund. Even when there were no mixing services hacking wasn't stopped. ~
Yes of course. These services are merely tools that are available for both regular users and hackers.

~
Criminals will always be attracted to any service which enhances user privacy, and mixers, coinjoin, KYCless exchanges, etc. are no different. The same holds true in the non-crypto world. Even something as fundamental as basic encryption, while allowing the entire internet to function, also allows criminal to communicate securely. The most privacy respecting way of spending fiat - simple physical cash - is also the preferred method of criminals.
True that. Bitcoin + mixers/coinjoin (and privacy coins), however, made it easier and faster for hackers/criminals to move funds around in a private manner.

Rubbishing a legitimate product or service because some criminals misuse it is a backwards way of thinking. Criminals use the internet. Criminals use cash. Criminals use getaway cars. Do we rally against the internet, cash, or cars? Of course not. It is especially concerning when the product in question - such as a mixer - is designed to improve the privacy of normal users. If we ban or make illegal services like VPNs, Tor, coinjoin, end-to-end encrypted communication, and so forth, criminals will still use them. It is only the honest users who will suffer.
The problem here I think is that, compared to internet/cash/cars, authorities finds it harder to track the activities of these criminals using crypto + mixers/coinjoin. That's why they have been going hard after these kinds of services and other privacy coins. Remember bestmixer, FATF & travel rule, publications against crypto & mixers, etc...

It's is rather unfortunate that regular users are also affected because of criminal activities.

Hello Hhampuz,

I'm an active poster in our local board but I have no problem posting on different international boards. I would still continue to post there even if it's not counted for weekly posts so if you don't mind the free advertisements in our local board then I'll be glad to apply.

3472  Local / Pamilihan / Coins.ph and other crypto app/wallet scams on: January 25, 2020, 09:46:46 AM

Ito yung fake page (do not visit).
Code:
https://www.facebook.com/Coinsph-104868301070849/

For better image, just visit the comment section ng How to Spot Fake FB Pages

Just few days, kakakatawa nga maraming beses na ako finolow sa twitter ng the same name at same profile pic ng coins sa twitter tapus may auto message pa about sa coins na naka free hosting sa webhost. Takte mga scammers masyadong nagkakalat na, be aware and be knowledgeable nalang to avoid these scams.

I created a new topic para hindi matabunan doon sa main thread.
Pwede siguro sa mga mixing services with centralized infrastructure but I doubt they will do that because it will be very bad for their business. Mahirap na silang pagkatiwalaan ng tao (both honest and hackers/launderers) kapag nagkataon. It defeats the very purpose of their business which is privacy/anonymity.

Someone mentioned in the other thread na posible din na tumatanggap sila ng pera mula sa mga hackers to mix their coins. Pero syempre mahirap pa din patunayan yun.

Well, I just checked localcryptos and saw some bitcoin sellers in Australia too. Check them out https://localcryptos.com/Bitcoin/Australia
3475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Crypto Should I Invest In 2020 ? on: January 25, 2020, 07:32:32 AM
Among the three altcoins you mentioned, I would probably stick with Eth. It probably has more to offer in terms of decentralized applications. Just take a look at ethereum's DEFI (Decentralized Finance)

You can also take into consideration the nearing completion of ethereum 2.0 which is believed to solve scalability issues. Of course, there's no guarantee that that will increase the price and give you profit but there's a good chance it will (long-term)

Not that it weighs more but this guy (tk808) explains it better in his post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5190137.msg53373462#msg53373462

Whatever you decide, be sure to read more into these altcoins and not just take whatever we say. Best of luck.

I still need to explore other stuff on how to manipulate the other element in photoshop. Sana makatulong.

PS: The template in creating a hat is not mine but the design is originally created by me.
Thanks. I'm sure there are plenty of templates out there to explore and play with but I prefer something with Pinas theme. I'm not really sure how to describe it because I'm not that creative. I will just leave the design to whoever wants to make it.
3477  Other / Meta / Re: Is this an error or forum really accept this kind of scenario. on: January 25, 2020, 06:52:46 AM
AFAIK, the forum doesn't have a preventive feature to disallow double postings. Maybe PM the OP to delete the other one or just report it to the mods and they'll handle the duplicate post.
3478  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hackers and their use of mixing services on: January 25, 2020, 06:32:21 AM
^ I haven't thought of that but that's definitely a possibility.

When you come to think of it, nothing also stops them from creating their own mixing methods. They have the resources and I would not doubt if they have the skills. Maybe there's already one under development, who knows?

("Pagsasalin" mula sa english thread Hackers and their use of mixing services)

3480  Economy / Service Discussion / Hackers and their use of mixing services on: January 25, 2020, 05:52:16 AM
Chainalysis released an article a few days ago entitled As Exchanges Beef Up Security Measures, Hackers Get More Sophisticated. It's pretty obvious for me that hackers will adapt to whatever security upgrades these exchanges will have but what really got me interested is how the hacked coins are being spent/sold/liquidated.

Chainalysis claims that a group of hackers are now using coin mixing/coinjoin services in 2019 compared to the previous years. We can also notice that they've stopped using centralized crypto exchanges and that is probably due to way these exchanges are coordinating faster now to block/freeze funds from hackers' wallets. (refer to image below)

We know that it's the exchange fault for getting hacked but it still kinda sucks to think that the services that are meant to increase our privacy & anonymity are also aiding these hackers (and also money launderers). The fact that developers are trying to improve mixing methods and that more and more mixing services are coming out also gives hackers more options.

For those who wants to read about mixers, here's a good thread to start What is Bitcoin Mixer?
