3461  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockfi sending eth there for interest gains? on: May 10, 2021, 11:39:21 PM
Custodial service would be a no-go area for me when it comes to staking but the problem is most of the noncustodial services do require a minimum of 32 ETH

What if you wake up one day and blockfi are gone with your ETH?  Wink

This list might not be updated, you can look through it for any alternatives

3462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance app coverting issue on: May 10, 2021, 10:55:14 PM
Binance is sometime unstable especially during times of high market volatility like it was a few hours ago but you should be able to get a price quotation right now Like i have been able to.

Make sure you click on "Preview conversion". You will have a 3 sec window to convert if you are satisfied with the rate or else it will expire and you have to refresh again

or you can just head over to the DOGE/USDT spot market and place a limit buy or market buy order just like any other trader.
3463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: help; wrong address on: May 10, 2021, 10:37:16 PM
Anyway in case it really happened and he wants to recover the USDT (TRC20). He should carry out the following procedure

◼ Get the recovery phrase of the wallet he sent the coins to. Open Trust Wallet app >> Click on Settings >>Click on the Wallets (something like Multi-Coin Wallet 1) >> Click on the 3 dots beside Multi-Coin Wallet 1).

You will be able to see a 12 word phase, copy it

example

Code:
civil silver raven elevator observe grab right double multiply nominee age seat

◼ Open https://iancoleman.io/bip39 and disconnect you device from the internet

◼ Change the setting from 15 to 12 words

◼ Write your 12 words inside the BIP39 Mnemonic box

◼ Under Coin Change coin type to Ethereum - ETH

◼ Change the derivation path to 32 by clicking on BIP32

◼ Right below, you will be able to see derived address with their respective public and private keys
as shown in the image

◼ Check and compare if the first address is the same as the one you sent your USDT (TRC20) to. If yes. Congratulations!! Copy the private key and Import the wallet on trust wallet via the option of "I already have a wallet" instead of "Create new wallet" and select Tron

◼ Select Private key option, paste your private key and import the address. You should be able to see and transfer your USDT

I look's like you are going to have to use Bithumb global depending on where you come from. But the trading volume of the token in the last 24 hours isn't exciting either but you are the only one who know why you want the token so it's your choice.

VRSC/USDT - $88,317
VRSC/BTC - $7,877

- Keep an eye on the orderbook for the trading pairs and study it before you deposit your BTC in the exchange
- Make sure you are ready for KYC just in case the ask for it before you withdraw the coin
- Make sure withdrawals for the VRSC coin are enabled (no wallet maintenance warnings) before you deposit your BTC
3465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: help; wrong address on: May 10, 2021, 09:30:56 PM
It's why i don't like Binance when it comes to making withdrawals. They can easily confuse a newbie with USDT(TRC20) USDT(ERC20) BEP2 and BSC allover the place

Again I am just wondering how the hell they let a withdrawal go through yet ERC20 and TRC20 are 2 incompatible address formats  Undecided
3466  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptonode.me - Domain Name expired on: May 10, 2021, 08:45:37 PM
Was it a scam or just a business failure?

Did anyone invest in this company?

All the read flags point to it being a scam.

If they were not scammers and just failed then they would have at least made an announcement to the "investors" before closing shop
According to their Facebook. You can clearly see some people complaining about it in the reviews last year

3467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining dogecoin with litecoinpool.org on: May 10, 2021, 07:59:58 PM
Been seeing a few posts on the rise about people trying to get ways to set up to their equipment to mine doge. The truth is mining coins that use scrypt algorithm like Doge using CPU or GPU is a total waste of time even if you are just trying to learn.

It's been Obsolete for a number of years since ASICs came into play so why bother even learning if you only have CPU or GPU  Wink

maybe you can pick up something from this thread;

3468  Economy / Reputation / Re: Long-time sig campaign farm ID'd via single wallet transaction on: May 10, 2021, 11:39:09 AM
I'm still trying to figure out if you guys just derive joy in giving red trust or there is something else. How am I connected to the strange accounts. Please check again
You have no idea about what's going on because on 10th June 2019, you bought/stole the account(s). Turns out, the account had been previously farmed by a serial signature campaign cheat.

After stealing/buying this particular account, you immediately applied for a bounty after a 5 year posting gap and thought whatever you did in the dark back then wouldn't catch up with you today?  Cheesy

thanks for the response.
i saw a 64,000 $ btcusd perpetuals even though btc is now 57,000.why would people buy there ?
when i do a trialing command i trade only with the people in the same pool as me (perpetual) or with the open market ?
btcusd perpetual is a futures markets while BTCUSD or BTCUSDT is a spot market. so this are too different markets
read more - https://www.binance.com/en/blog/421499824684901983/Crypto-Spot-vs-Crypto-Futures-Trading--Whats-the-difference

Trailing stop can be triggered by the market price of the perpetual contracts market you are trading in not the spot market price

2.i set everything like in the first picture then i pressed short or long (based on the activition price i set)'and nothing happed.no position,no open order.nothing.(like in the second picture)
what did i miss ?
It's a trailing stop order you were setting. Was your position already open when you tried to do this?

3.why sometimes in btcusd perpetuals (coin-m) i see the currency at the top (colored with orange color in first picture) as usd and not btc ?
I didn't understand you question well but this could help - https://www.binance.com/en/blog/421499824684901012/The-Pros-and-Cons-of-COIN--USDTmargined-contracts-How-do-they-impact-your-returns

4.why something the bar (colored yellow in first picture) is stuck and not moving from 0% even though i moved some money into futures (transfers between regular and futures wallet ) ?
you were opening a trailing stop order, not a buy or sell limit or short order. that's why.

why newbies can't add picture normally ? to much money on storage ?
it's because of restrictions. You need to first rank up in order to do so
3470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 26 USD in BTC for about 18-20 USD in ETH. on: May 09, 2021, 11:11:34 PM
How much do you think he can get after swapping them across exchanges? If you don't know, it will cost him a few dollars to send BTC to the exchange. Somewhere around at least $ 10
You are still leaving in the past, Bitcoin transaction fee rate has been low since last week. Right now, one can get their transaction confirmed in a few blocks for a fee rate of 3 sats/byte, that can be under 1 usd provided the transaction doesn't have so many inputs.

Instant exchanges like FixedFloat.com can do the magic for him

next, we can ignore the conversion fee, but we have to take into account another cost, which is the fee for withdrawing money from the exchange. It is about 0.01 ETH so that ETH can be withdrawn from an exchange. It's not even enough for a fee.
Do you think the person sending him ETH will be doing it for free minus accounting for the transaction fees?
Instant exchanges don't need withdrawal fees. All you worry about are normal transaction fees and service fees.

>>>snip<<<
He cares because maybe he doesn't want to be scammed. It shouldn't be a big issue if he asked OP the question and OP didn't have any ill intentions and respectfully answered it.

OP I have some Doge but I am only willing to carry out the deal from this forum and not over email addresses. Please state your rates and what coin you want to give me in exchange for Doge
3472  Other / Meta / Re: Why did the forum stop supporting images from imgur's http links? on: May 09, 2021, 10:34:24 PM
Thanks for answer, but I have dumb question - how to access desktop site version on mobile? I tried it, but failed to find way to access it. Seems that after all these years I will have to look for alternative...
Just tryout other alternative image hosting sites like the ones listed by @lovesmayfamilis. Imgur on mobile sucks big time. The reason I still use imgur is because I mostly use computer and my screenshot app uploads the captured images automatically to imgur and then sends me the link of the uploaded image to my clipboard.
3473  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Liquigate Terminating service, withdraw your funds NOW! on: May 07, 2021, 11:42:02 PM
Liquigate a service that offer cashback rewards in Bitcoin by shopping through different popular online stores is calling it quits. The other day, I received an email that goes as follows;

Quote
Company Termination - Withdraw your funds

Dear Liquigate users

Cryptocurrency is moving fast at a speed of light, and our services are unable to compete and catch up with the market.

As our service is privately owned and we never received any funding, our mission is becoming harder and harder to materialise. Today, we are forced to announce the termination of our Liquigate cashback as a service.

We believe that Bitcoin cashback as a service is an excellent idea that rewards free money, and we encourage our users to keep using other services that can be found online!

WITHDRAWAL OF FUNDS
We will give time to our users to withdraw rewards, and we recommend that in order to avoid transaction fees, users withdraw via Lightning Network.

Please make sure that you withdraw your APPROVED balance within 60 days. Pending balances that have not been approved automatically by the merchant will be declined.

After the 60 days period we will seize to support the cashback service.

HODL HODL, and best of luck to everyone!
Liquigate

Problem is that the forum isn't easily readable and useable using a mobile phone due to compatibility issues of the current forum software so very few people will find this useful.

There were a couple of members who created bitcoin dark mode scripts for PC browsers though I am not able to get the threads

Edit:
Here they are;

The feature doesn't exist currently but you can enter "dark mode" in the search bar and you'll see plenty of topics about userscripts and other tricks.

Some of them are:

3475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing Price action to be profitable HELP on: May 07, 2021, 10:56:38 PM
Percentage price change matters much more than percentage volume change though volume can sometimes be used as an indicator to determine how strong the momentum of a certain trend is.

Coins with small prices (less than $1) tend to be more volatile than those with high price (like Bitcoin currently)

Coins with small marketcaps also tend to be much more volatile price wise since it's easy to shake up the price/clear all the order of a specific price range in the order book.
3476  Economy / Exchanges / Does any one know what Line 1, Line 2 mean in an exchange/trading terminal? on: May 06, 2021, 12:41:29 AM
Some exchange apps or trading terminals display Line 1, Line 2, Line 3 right next to the orderbook or below it. Line 1 or 2  are followed by figures which I believe are Microseconds (ms) Like shown in the screenshot

Do anyone know the significance of those microseconds?
3477  Economy / Exchanges / Re: binance futures on: May 05, 2021, 11:58:07 PM
1.what are those perpetuals ? why there is btcusd perpetual priced x and some price way up or low.why do i have to buy 100 $ for each "share".
A futures contract is an agreement between two parties(Traders) to bet against each other(buy or sell) a currency at a predetermined price at a specified time in future So it's a little different from the traditional spot market

Each contract also known as a share can represent 1 USD, 50 USD, 100 USD or even 1 BTC. It all depends on an exchange.

Perpetual futures contracts have no expiry date unlike traditional futures contracts, so you can hold your position for as long as you want.
The price variations between the perpetual contract price and Mark price occur because of high volatility of market conditions but eventually the prices will get back in range

Read More here: https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/what-are-perpetual-futures-contracts

2.when i do trailing command it doesn't do anything.i set the callback and price activation.put the % of how much to invest, click buy long or short and nothing happens.it doesnt show new open order.
thanks
It would be easier to understand what you are asking and  explain if you shared a screenshot
3478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EXCHANGE] KuCoin Exchange on: May 04, 2021, 11:57:03 PM
trade history it doesn't even work today. if I go to the trade history section I see as the last trade those made yesterday
when you fix it ? it has been working terribly for months now

Are you facing the problem from the Mobile App or web site?

You will probably not get help here. I suggest you try contacting them via the Live chat support button on the bottom right of Kucoin webpage. A customer service assistant will respond to you with 10 seconds.

3479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thread deletion on: May 04, 2021, 11:05:27 PM
The most obvious reason was that it was a low quality post which could also in turn attract spam from replying members.

If you look at the coins, it makes no sense comparing or asking about which one has the cheapest transaction fees and fastest confirmation speed because they are all just merely tokens on Ethereum blockchain

The fee you would pay to transfer USDT (ERC20) will be the same fee for USDC (ERC20) and DAI (ERC20) so I think the mod saw it as a low quality post/question.

You shouldn't even dwell on the why the thread was deleted. Just try to make better posts next time.
3480  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your worst mistake on: May 04, 2021, 10:42:19 PM
My worst mistake was greed and not deciding quickly enough to take profit when there was an opportunity. All I was thinking about was getting rich quickly by waiting a little more. The price of the asset would later drop by almost 80-90% and during that period, I become desperate for cash and ended up selling at a very low price. To sum up my mistake, a few weeks later, the asset started spiking in price and I was just left to regret.
