2501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gpu mining on: March 25, 2022, 11:59:37 PM
All your hopes will quickly collapse, because more than 80% of video cards mine Ethereum. Profit will be only for miners with modern video cards and cheap electricity. Not one of the currently known coins can accept even 20% of the current ethereum hashrate, because the profit will be close to 0.

If the profit goes close to zero, I don't see why so many people will keep mining with high operational costs. Most of them will quite over time and this will lead to changes in the hashrates of different coins downwards.

So in the short term we might see an influx of previous ETH miners into other altcoins.
In the Long term, everything returns to normal or at least close to normal balance.
2502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Are there Blockchain programmers who can help for free? on: March 25, 2022, 11:48:40 PM
I am going to be honest with you. Most people here are in to earn something, and you may not get any Developer or for this matter a serious developer working for free for your DeFi project.

Your project has to be established, huge, having a working product and open source if you are to have any chances of volunteers helping you out. Take an example of coins like Bitcoin. But if it's just a start-up with no working product or no guaranteed future, forget about it.
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EXCHANGE] KuCoin Exchange on: March 25, 2022, 11:40:09 PM
I noticed that your list of countries approved to use the exchange seems to be so thin, especially on the p2p platform, compared to your competitions. I have accounts with Phemex, binance, bybit, Coinbase pro, FTX pro, Kraken futures, all of them verified because I sometimes trade derivatives, but surprisingly my jurisdiction is not allowed to use your exchange.

Could it be because you are using an Outdated sanction list?
2504  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: WHERE TO BUY WHATSMINER M30S++ on: March 25, 2022, 12:36:35 AM
How the reseller can offer lower price?
The price difference on the 30s++ 5800$ between whatsminer.net (cheap) vs microbt.com (official and expensive)
I could be wrong, but it's most likely because the price reflected on Microbt is the old price that hasn't been updated for some time. If you check microbt (which redirects to whatsminer.com) the miners are sold out, unlike in whatminer.net where they are still available

Just to give you the perspective of how the price can change. This is from the time lockdowns just started bitting hard.

Today 17 April 2020 MicroBT announces the fourth generation of their WhatsMiner Hardware.

M30S++:
  • Hashing Power: 112 TH
  • Power Consumption: 3472 W
  • Efficiency: 31 J/T
  • Price: 3899 $

M30S+:
  • Hashing Power: 100 TH
  • Power Consumption: 3400 W
  • Efficiency: 34 J/T
  • Price: 2740 $
2505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gpu mining on: March 24, 2022, 11:49:32 PM
after etherium all coins will collapse. no coin can absorb so much mining power.
Where do you people get all this kind of speculation?  Roll Eyes

Are you assuming all alt coins are mined using GPU's?
Do you think all people who have been mining ETH will keep mining the other altcoins even when it's not profitable?
Obviously, some people will quit mining.
2506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet Bitcoin Embassy Bar, a Bitcoin themed bar in Mexico on: March 24, 2022, 12:48:20 AM
Fascinating!

If such a themed bar was opened up in my Neighborhood or town, it would be my favorite hangout. The more Bitcoin and its use cases become common among locals, the more ordinary people will start using it as an alternative to payments and even store of value in the long term.
2507  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining is best with ant miner or graphic cards? on: March 23, 2022, 11:59:42 PM
If you are thinking of mining Bitcoin using graphics cards. Then you are probably in the wrong place. ASICs (some Antminers), yes. GPUs, No.
This site can help you reference on the estimated profitability of ASICs - https://whattomine.com/miners
2508  Economy / Reputation / Re: A scammer ? on: March 23, 2022, 04:46:20 PM
I also received the same kind of PM from the same user today. Obviously, he is a scammer. I have reported his unsolicited PM to the mods, hopefully he receives a ban.
But since mods seem to be so slow in banning users these days, in a meantime, I am going to tag and flag the profile
2509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where can I buy USDT on BSC Bep 20 or Tron Network? on: March 22, 2022, 11:42:06 PM
I want to get some usdt on either of these networks.  Reason is because I want to send a few tiny payments.  By tiny payments...  i mean like 5 dollars and under and thus sending usdt via ETH makes no sense due to the fees.

I have access to coinbase and gemini.
You are going to open another account in another exchange like FTX, Kucoin or Binance which support USDT TRC20 or USDT BEP20

Quote
Does this mean if I get usdt in the BSC Bep 20 network... I need that coin to pay my fee?  What coin would that be?
Yes, you will need some BNB BEP20 to pay for the gas fees

Quote
Also what has me confused is say I get usdt in Tron network.  When you want to send usdt in tron network to someone... do you need to make two separate transactions?  One is sending the Tron fee first... and then send the usdt in the tron network?  Do you make each payment one after another to the usdt tron address you are sending to?
No, the tron act as gas fee from the sending address. There is no need to send it to the receiving address unless if you want to help the fund their next transaction fee.

Quote
Would I just get btc and then use one of those anonymous crypto services like changelly to do this?  Or fees are very high if I'm doing a small amount?
Services like changelly are useless for such small amounts.
2510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone recommend reliable service for bitcoin-backed loan on: March 22, 2022, 11:08:27 PM
Don't you have a students loan to pay for your tuition?
Obviously, he wouldn't be looking for a service that offers a bitcoin-backed loan in this forum if he had the option of student loans, would he?

One thing OP should have in mind is the time frame for loan repayment, Most lenders I have seen are looking at short time frames for repayment.
So here are a few questions OP, if you don't mind answering them
1. Approximately how much are you looking to borrow?
2. After how long do you think you will be able to repay it? This is very important since you are going to use your Bitcoin as collateral.
2511  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: March 22, 2022, 10:48:28 PM
Do we have a new rules on plagiarism? I reported this user  few weeks ago and I just found out that he's still very much active on the forum

Don't sweat it. The good thing is that you did your part in reporting. Either mods take their time to look through the reports, or they have softened a bit towards banning offenders of plagiarism. The problem is that no one really comes out to clear the air. The complaints regarding unhandled bans are becoming common. I reported some user recently, and it took some number of days before he was banned.

I have reported it too.
2512  Economy / Reputation / Re: 3accountsconnected!! on: March 22, 2022, 09:36:08 PM
I bet we could find a link if we look at the tons of cheaters they have tagged, I guess your main account which you're hiding has a red tag from all three of them? Or at least two?
This is exactly the same thing I was thinking about. OP probably had his cheating accounts or account farm busted recently by the members he is trying to accuse, since they have been exposing cheating alt accounts. So he is trying to seek revenge falsely.

yesss...
Go ahead, expose me. I am curious to know which account you will connect me to.
2513  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake scammed me $40,000 AVOID AT ALL COST on: March 22, 2022, 08:55:26 PM
Sometime ago stake froze my account which had about 100 thousand dollars when I reached out to them I was told o had exceeded my bet limit I was able to place bets but not withdraw my assets I reached to a US company at adminctrackltd(at) protonmail(dot) com that specializes in crypto assets recovery, they recoverd my frozen funds on stake.
Funny  Grin

Here comes another shameless scammer. Create a brand-new account, login, and then boom. This is the first post they see and claim how they were once a victim too but were helped by some random crypto recovery company.

Thanks for wasting your time here, we don't fall for such bullshit.

You are probably another Stake employee who is sucking off all the owners. Are you sucking off rosh too?
What kind of cunt are you? A geriatric one?

Read my post again, how am I affiliated to stake?

I was simply replying to a scammer who replied the thread claiming he was going to help OP recover the money, which obviously is a scam. Read, internalized content and think with your brain, not your bottom!
2514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Mining Made Easy for Everyone on: March 21, 2022, 11:54:35 PM
Another day, another Ponzi scheme claiming to be a cloud mining site.

Anyone sending their money to such platforms has 100% chance of losing it. to put this into context.

Cloud mining sites = 99% scam
Ponzi schemes = 100% scam

and the there was this  Cheesy

2515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Electrum freaked me out for the first time ever.... on: March 21, 2022, 11:32:16 PM
Hey....why isn't a typical imgur image loading?  I just did the same thing I always did when linking to images.  Anyway, the pic is this: https://imgur.com/FlOhist
Because the size of the image in the link you shared is 2.9 MB. The maximum limit is 2.5 MB anything more than that and the "invalid image" error. So you are going to have to compress the image. (Here is the compressed version - (https://i.imgur.com/mGK7urO.png)

It's too big. The limit is 2.5 MB
2516  Other / Archival / Re: BitMEX - Derivatives Exchange on: March 21, 2022, 10:53:01 PM
So today i got an email from Bitmex stating this

Quote
As we prepare for the arrival of BitMEX Spot in Q2 2022 we’re welcoming new coins and tokens to BitMEX. ETH, Ethereum’s native token is the first, and you can now use 36 + fiat currencies to buy it, as well as XBT and USDT.

Looks like they are now pushing towards spot trading since most of their competitors adopted it sometime back. My account is not verified with them.

2517  Economy / Reputation / Re: 3accountsconnected!! on: March 21, 2022, 09:47:32 PM
Do you think Awaklara and Pandu Geddon connected?
Do you think Pandu Geddon and rozak connected?
Do you think rozak Awaklara and Pandu Geddon connected?
Watch their behavior when sending merits to each other!! Do don't you guys suspect?
No, Merit exchange between different members is not evidence enough to link accounts and suspect that they are alt accounts. I have profile that have sent me merit before, and I sent them too. Do that make our accounts alts?

You need to bring up more proof like Bitcoin or ETH address linkage, social media username linkage, similar posting patterns etc

2518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The fate of crypto mining on: March 20, 2022, 11:51:02 PM
In the end of 2013, the ROI of a GPU was 30-40 days... OMG I miss these days...
In the end of 2013, the Bitcoin price was less than $1000 sometimes even just $15... OMG, how I miss those days...  Grin

Well, if we miss those days, we should just create a time machine and go back in time, shouldn't we?
2519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The fate of crypto mining on: March 20, 2022, 11:06:28 PM
The future fate of crypto mining is worrisome, did I start this journey too late?
Someone one, somewhere in 2017 was saying the same about mining Bitcoin  Wink
The ASICs seemed too expensive, and they were not sure if they could make profit in mining after 2017 and here we are in 2022, with some folks making huge in 2021 both in ETH and Bitcoin.

Morale; Never give up, Keep investing in mining coins you think have future potential, "Fortune favors the bold"
2520  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR Wallet! Buy, exchange and store crypto. Order Visa prepaid card! on: March 20, 2022, 10:43:58 PM
Cryptocurrency was created to be transparent that everybody can check the open code.
We are talking about a wallet, not a coin or token  Wink

When community can check the code it will be more trust to the project.
When they (OWNR wallet team) make the source code public which I am quite sure they will never.

Many wallets use onen code.
No, they are not many. Can you name for me five popular, Open source multicurrency wallets?

What is your main reason that you do not use open code?
Here is their reason - https://ownrwallet.com/blog/open-source-and-closed-source-difference/)

Look, I am not an advocate of closed source wallets, I prefer open source wallets. But if you don't like OWNR because it's closed source then you are free to look for an open source wallet.
