2621  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKEX (OKX) exchange good? on: February 20, 2022, 04:43:22 PM
I have used the exchange dozens of times.

I haven't faced any problem trading, and the spot fees are pretty much within the normal crypto exchange rates. I don't know about derivatives fees since I use another platform for that.

The beauty about them is the high withdrawal limits. I have my account verified with basic information/Level 1 (Nationality, ID type, ID number
Legal first, middle, and last name) and can do about anything from 200 BTC daily withdrawal limits, futures trading to P2P trading with $500 single order limit.

The problems I have faced with the app are in signing in.

1. The app is case-sensitive, even when it comes to initials of the email address
2. The app is sluggish in bringing up the verification page (it can even take 30 seconds)

https://bringbackmycrypto.com/ they both offer password recovery services.

My first time hearing about bringbackmycrypto.com

Also, the site you linked does not seem to load from my side. I don't know  if it's just me or everyone else, Maybe someone can check and confirm if it does load from their device.
2623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best miner use to mine zcash in 2022? on: February 19, 2022, 11:56:19 PM
There are a few tools that can help you estimate and determine which mining hardware is most profitable and best for the coin you are planning to mine depending on the power cost in your area.

For example, whattomine.com can guide you (https://whattomine.com/coins/166-zec-equihash)
2624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / FUD seems to be majorly targeted towards well perfoming assets like Bitcoin. on: February 19, 2022, 11:42:32 PM
The chart you are seeing below is not of Bitcoin or one of those meme shitcoins. Folks, this is a chart of the "mighty" Paypal Holdings stock price over the years, which a steep slump in the last few months. Whereas the chart maybe open for interpretation, but imagine if this was happening to Bitcoin. There would be lots of FUD everywhere, spearheaded by mainstream media about how it's over for Bitcoin.

When it happens to the likes of PAYPAL, they go silent. What does this tell you about mainstream media?

Biased towards crypto!

In the future, when waves of FUD come by. Just ignore  Smiley
2625  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NuMiner (new manufacturer) - are they legit? on: February 19, 2022, 10:49:43 PM
heh, on Feb 10 they even went as far as to publicly announce the image was faked.
Quote
NuMiner’s original image was drawn for marketing purposes. The Company was recently made aware of a similarity in the product’s image to another product on the market and removed the image from its website.
ROFL -- Just A similarity?
This 'multi-million dollar' company couldn't even hire a technical illustrator to draw their vision of what their unicorn miner *may* look like but instead had one of their kids photoshop a real piece of hardware (the Cerebras) that has nothing to do with mining?  Roll Eyes

Gotta love this from their FAQ:
Quote
How is the NM440 better than other bitcoin mining technology on market?

The NM440 combines innovative processing technology and design to introduce the world’s most efficient and powerful miner. The NM440’s leading performance and distinctive advantage is powered by groundbreaking proprietary hardware and software.
In not so many words: It's majik and therefore a secret...  Grin

It's funny how far the Numiner scammers are willing to go just to try and cover up their scammy asses. What a very stupid sort of reasoning from their Press release. Luck enough, they won't be able to delete this thread  Grin and the archived version of their fake miner listed on their website - https://web.archive.org/web/20220204014705/https://numiner.com/nm440/
2626  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NuMiner (new manufacturer) - are they legit? on: February 17, 2022, 11:45:21 PM
What makes matter worse is even the so-called main financial media companies that so many ordinary people look up to like bloomberg.com published such scam on their website
Link - https://www.bloomberg.com/press-releases/2022-02-03/numiner-announces-next-generation-nm440-bitcoin-miners-and-numiner-global-launch

These are the same sites that are so quick on spreading FUD about Bitcoin, especially whenever there is a price drop.
2627  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: any real mining shop? just got slammed on: February 17, 2022, 10:59:43 PM
Be careful OP

Here is an example of a scam site being advertised by a newbie

shop.antminer.hk

My friends have bought on that page, shipments have successfully arrived in the USA and Mexico

If you read almost all review sites. All people are complaining of getting scammed.

1. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/shop.antminer.hk
Quote
Its been 4 months since i bought a miner from them and then was the last time they answered my tries to correspond to ask where my item is!
Quote
This online shopping website cheated me by not giving me my already bought item!!!! Change the vendor until you still have a chance.
Quote
I WANT MY TRANSACTION AMOUNT REFUNDED OR MY MINER REDELIVERED RIGHT NOW OR I CALL THE POLICE ! DONT HIDE FROM ME!
Quote
the miner that i have bought from here is still not being delivered when i waited 3 months in a row but still nothing comes
Quote
To shop safely online you need to know who you are dealing with before rushing into purchasing. The good thing is that online shopping means you’re only a few clicks away from making a purchase. It can also mean you’re just a few clicks away from being targeted by a scam.

2. https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/shop.antminer.hk
Quote
Bogus websites like shop.antminer.hk can be difficult to recognize and spot sometimes, especially if its well made, like the one that this fraudulent vendor is using! I rushed into buying without paying attention if this vendor is legal or not. NOTHING WAS DELIVERED
Quote
They disappeared soon after i gave them money. It is bad that the site is still online and not shut down. Nothing was sent to me after paying shop.antminer.hk.
Quote
I was really surprised when i noticed that shop.antminer.hk are fake, because have read good reviews so i decided to trusted them, which was a big mistake, because they didnt send anything.

2628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: which coin could i mine using my old phone on: February 15, 2022, 11:59:26 PM
Maybe phoneum and pi network? These are the most disgusting crypto projects I've ever seen oh by the way with PoW algorithm that only works on mobile phone where as should be called cloud mining on phone or even daily coin distribution, avoid them at all costs
All those seem like scams or pseudo-mining projects to me. What noobs forget about such "mining" projects is that they invest in a lot of resources like time, power cost and internet data cost.

If I were OP, I would just sell off the old phone and use the money to either buy BTC or a few good altcoins during the dip and HODL. Mining the pi networks is a waste of resources.
2629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining HNT with an amplifier on: February 15, 2022, 11:18:47 PM
Sounds like scam to me

The website is brand new

And there's one brand-new guy on three different Subreddits shilling about the website and that amplifier that it worked for him. You can guess what his motive is  Grin

2630  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: goldshell.shop REVIEW - FRAUD ALERT !!!! on: February 15, 2022, 10:44:35 PM
I just read through the reviews on Trustpilot and amongst the fake positive reviews they tried to make, it's sad to see quite a number of negative reviews with people complaining that they have been scammed by them. How I wish people could consult before sending money to any random site.

Reporting such a domain name would have helped if only the domain registrars were swift at putting down fraudulent or clone websites
2631  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: any alternative android or windows apps like pi network on: February 15, 2022, 09:24:51 PM
any alternative android or windows apps  like pi network. i am doing mining in pi network from last one year
like that is there any other list of apps which can give free coins

Let me ask a simple question. If you can actually mine the coins using the APP. The what is the use of referral codes in the first place. It's more like and MLM technique, and from what I know about MLM schemes, almost all of them are scams.
2632  Other / Meta / Re: Using bpip.org as user's statistics. on: February 15, 2022, 08:35:57 PM
Just use the BPIP extension, and you will be able to access a BPIP link to each user's profile as shown in the image below

But I don't know if bpip.org is owned by an individual or it is an extension of bitcointalk.org
It's not an official extension of the forum. It's just a couple of forum members who decided to create and run the project.
2633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the objective of bitcoin redirected? on: February 15, 2022, 08:11:37 PM
From the past decade, bitcoin failed to add any value to the real world. It was supposed to be an alternative payments solution but it become an assets class for storing values.
What "value" did you want it to add to your "real world"
Because from what I see, it has already achieved a lot.
- Thanks to Bitcoin I can now transfer funds at low fees
- Bitcoin made the blockchain technology more popular and more institutions are working on using it
- As a retail trader, I can also be able to trade Bitcoin freely minus having to be restricted like it is with stocks, forex and other markets

Quote
Its technology is old, slow, and expensive compared to many altcoins.
How about the fiat system and so-called gold you like.

Quote
Is the objective of bitcoin is dead or has it's been redirected on purpose?
Nope it's not. It's perhaps your way of thinking that has been redirected.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Use cowswap if you don't have ether to pay fees on other dexes on: February 14, 2022, 11:48:36 PM
Yes like this and how much you pay depends on ethereum traffic.
But this still does not eliminate the fact that traders have to pay the insane gas fees for the token internal transfers or smart contract call when a trade is being executed, right?
2635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I am searching for new projects which can give legit free cloud mining on: February 14, 2022, 11:44:05 PM
When you are into cloud mining, chances of getting scammed are very high. About 99% of them are scams or Ponzi schemes that pretend to pay at first only for them to exit-scam with the rest of your money.

I would rather suggest you use that little money you have to buy Bitcoin (Of-course when the price has dipped enough) and the wait for a couple of years to realize some awesome returns that you can old dream of when using the fake cloud mining site.
2636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I mine cryptocurrency with the free Google Colab GPU? on: February 14, 2022, 10:48:57 PM
Hello to all experts and miners. More recently, I came across the "bitcoin-mining-python-Google-Colab" repository on GitHub. Hypothetically, can we mine cryptocurrency with the Free Google Colab GPU?
You can use a GPU to mine some altcoins like Ethereum, Ravecoin etc. but certainly not Bitcoin as suggested. Now, whether is specific type of GPU mines altcoins or not is another question to find answers to.

Most cloud mining schemes give good results in the production of cryptocurrencies. In the developer forums, many praise Tensorflow, I could use your advice.
Most cloud mining schemes are scams. Like 99% of them are scams. So do not be fooled.
2637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTT Membership question on: February 14, 2022, 10:05:37 PM
You get extra benefits such as being able to post images, being able to wear a signature (just like for Member rank) and also having reduced limits on the number of PMs you can send to other members per day as compared to the limits imposed on Brand-New and Newbie accounts

2638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank and it ignorance on Bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 11:25:25 PM
what are the possibilities of central banks governors winning the war against the decentralized finances or will the central banks looses it relevancy when Bitcoin finally become a global currency.
I think we already know what the answer is.

If the so-called banks were not being threatened by Bitcoin, do you think they would be talking of banning it. The fact that they are feeling the impact of Bitcoin even before being fully adopted says a thing or two about them thinking of becoming less relevant.
2639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip. on: February 11, 2022, 11:13:54 PM
Sometimes when it happens like this it is no one's fault,  the only thing to be done is to just keep calm and wait, every dip will surely rise up. To me in a case whereby it still goes dip I think I will buy more. Going  dip is not a time to panic but can also be an opportunity.
Of course, we can keep calm and wait or even decide to buy more, but as a person who experienced the 2018 - 2020 bear market. I gotta tell you. It's easier said than done   Cheesy
At times, you would wait until your patience runs out, and you would end up selling the assets at a loss.

Selling Bitcoin at a lower price was definitely a bad decision. Selling off other altcoins at lower prices was a good decision because some continued to dip while others died a natural death and never recovered even during the recent bull run.
2640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New and emerging Cryptocurrencies? on: February 11, 2022, 10:59:45 PM
you can try your luck with:

 - https://coinmarketcal.com/en/ : BEST ONE
 - https://coinscalendar.com/

I used them in the past to make some profits, they are good sources of information but now the market is not normal and it is controlled by the change of bitcoin which has become difficult to predict so it does not have much value at the moment.

To add on what hugeblack listed, there is another site
- https://icodrops.com

I know ICOs are a thing of the past but some ICO/IEO projects have been listed in the site way before they launch, and I have seen some that have succeeded to this date.
