2721  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: GPU mining 2013, back today and on: January 03, 2022, 11:58:40 PM
Also I am wondering, is there any point mining today with a RTX 2080 at home? Or is it just way too late for that train?
Yes, you can mine altcoins like Ethereum and the likes of ravencoin. Ethereum has been the most profitable throughout last year, but you can no longer mine bitcoin using GPUs. It's too late for you on the side of Bitcoin.

2722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Robinhood to Tradingview translations for newbie? Is BTCUSD the same as BTC? on: January 03, 2022, 11:47:33 PM
This seems like a very basic question. But, I've searched on and I'm getting nothing.  In Robinhood, bitcoin is BTC and Ethereum is ETH.  But, in trading view they look more like BTCUSD and ETHUSD.  Are those the same thing? And, there's different versions from different sources. Which ones are correct?  Thanks
It's the same thing as far as I know. Platforms like robinhood might list an asset as BTC or ETH only but if it's a trading pair, then by default BTC = BTCUSD and ETH = ETHUSD if the base currency is USD or BTC = BTCEUR and ETH = ETHEUR is the base currency is Euro.
2723  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help bounty-program on: January 03, 2022, 11:27:58 PM
Are there some kind of cases or distinctive criteria to stay away from this kind of fraud?
It's quite simple. Just avoid carrying out the bounty unless if you want part of the community to have some of your tokens or coins while you are launching your project (adoption)

The bitter truth very few people will tell you is that bounties are no longer an effective way of advertising after bots and spammers infested the field. Just spend a little more on other forms of advertisements for your project than use a bunch of worthless social media spammers.
2724  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mining on: January 03, 2022, 11:20:04 PM
You would probably need to use your phone to mine another coin (like XMR) and then convert that over to BTC. But keep in mind, you won't mine much of anything from a mobile phone. It doesn't have the power that's really needed to make mining worthwhile. And keep your battery charger close by, cause mining on a cell phone will probably drain the battery extremely fast.
Is it even worth the time and hustle?

The most effective way of mining XMR is through using some modern computer CPUs, It never crossed my mind that it would be possible and even profitable to mine XMR  using a phone, otherwise it would be a popular way of mining by now.
2725  Other / Archival / Re: Don't use institutional BTC purchases as a signal of imminent growth on: January 02, 2022, 10:27:14 PM
What people forget is that when institutions by bitcoin. They are also looking to make profits short term and not just holding long time. So obviously if they buy a huge amount of Bitcoin that can push the price up, then it's very likely they will sell the same amount of Bitcoin at some point to take profit leading a price drop.
2726  Other / Off-topic / Re: Happy New Year on: December 31, 2021, 10:35:19 PM
I am not good at celebrating new years or other occassions like Birthdays as they are just numbers and have nothing to do with good luck, bad luck or one's progress but to those who believe in them so much. Happy new year.
2727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Expresscrypto Help!! on: December 27, 2021, 11:56:56 PM
Anything is possible. I wouldn't be shocked if it was an exit scam. it's why you should always never keep your funds online.

Write to them if you need any help (support@expresscrypto.io) If they are scammers, it's no guarantee that you will be helped.
2728  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: December 27, 2021, 10:49:43 PM
also notice somebody that delete the many posts or Change email so  recently
1. Bpip does not keep track of posts personally deleted by a member since it does not archive them like Loyce.club or ninjastic.space. Only stats of posts deleted by mods are shown.
2. bpip doesn't track email address changes but rather password changes.

what i want to know can't another method or app be created for checking scam signature campaign and not really for our profiles because i know quite ok that bpip is for bitcointalk users profile
The simple answer is, it's not possible.
2729  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i need about 3 tbtc (bitcoin testnet) on: December 27, 2021, 10:39:59 PM
What's the point of trying to get all the 3tBTC?

You don't need a whole round figure of tbtc to carry out your tests. You could used 0.01 or 0.001 tBTC and still be able to achieve the test results you want.
That being said, you reputation is already betraying you and you did even resolve a scam accusation raised against you.
2730  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Track Total Amount or Average Price Onchain on: December 27, 2021, 10:32:01 PM
I think blockchair might be the closest solution to what you are looking for

1. They record the value of an asset on a transaction based on the price of that asset on a given time. So you can be able to access the historical value of the asset
2. The total in and total out value of the asset in USD is based on the average historical price of the asset during transfers

The problem is blockchair starts getting inaccurate when you move Bitcoin back and forth using the same address. it will keep adding up BTC from every transaction making the total in or total out value inflated.
2731  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How safe is Celsius Network? on: December 22, 2021, 11:54:51 PM
The simple answer is;

"Not your keys, not your coins"

If you are going to put 10 BTC into their custody just to earn interest of 7% APR. Don't you think it would be better for you to keep the Bitcoins by yourself and HODL?
Why would you risk your assets for such a small reward?
2732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is this Message On Bitcoin's Website? on: December 20, 2021, 11:59:26 PM
The man discredits himself with every move he makes, and unfortunately, no one has shown up to take advantage of all those moves and bring him down legally in court.
It's probably because of the ideology behind Bitcoin. I mean the decentralization bit and the omission of a central authority, middle man or even owner.

Bitcoin is not like a company that has A CEO and then other different teams like the legal team, marketing team etc. So when someone like Faketoshi shows up claiming that he's the owner of the whitepaper through fucked up centralized bodies like Courts of law, there are high chances that no true Bitcoin enthusiast will come up against him in those messed up courts of law.
2733  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I really want to know how you buy mining machines? on: December 20, 2021, 11:46:54 PM
Ali? Ebay?

Must be on Amazon

I advise you to avoid buying miners from Alibaba/AliExpress, eBay or Amazon. There is a high chance that the equipment is faulty and you may not discover the fault until the buyer protection or trader assurance period is over after which you may not be able to return the product to the seller or dispute for a refund.

Always go for official manufacturer online stores or official resellers.

>>snip<<

Well this escalated quickly  Grin

OP must be regretting to this date why he made such a stupid post.

He was not practicing what he was preaching. @HridoyHk_15 is banned as of now, but I don't know why @RIFAT001 was spared given that the accounts are connected with some evidence
2735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short selling on binance.us on: December 20, 2021, 10:24:36 PM
>>snip<<
Did you read OP's post?

He's talking about Binance.us and not Binance.com. Please note the difference and don't just rush to comment  Wink

OP, most if not all compliant crypto exchanges don't offer short selling or longing to US customers for fear of getting in trouble with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

2736  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda back as Ratimov, (alleged) on: December 20, 2021, 09:58:02 PM
You call it an accusation?
I didn't accuse Ratimov anyways, I only tried to establish an already proven point, don't you get it?
I really like Ratimov alright? He's a cool guy....
So what exactly is the point of this thread?
I don't say any point you are trying to make at all. I mean, you haven't even shown us any conclusive evidence showing that the two profiles might be controlled by the same person.

Trying to stir up some drama but in a canning way?
2737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Ethermine change wallet during mining on: December 20, 2021, 09:46:17 PM
I think it's possible, but you have to prove ownership of the old address before the wish can be granted.

Here is what they say;

Quote
For security reasons we are generally unable to transfer any funds/credits from one account to another. Ethermine, Ethpool and Flypool are an anonymous mining pools, this means that as long we are unable to verify that you are indeed the owner of the account you want to transfer the balance / credits we cannot execute the transfer.

That said, if you can prove ownership of the address you want to transfer funds by sending us a message that has been signed using the private key of the original account (we recommend to use

https://www.myetherwallet.com/signmsg.html to generate such a signature for all ETH & ETC based accounts) we will be able to transfer to a different account.

If you'r using an exchange address or hosted wallet, you will have to contact them and ask to provide you the private key of your account in order to create such a signature. If that exchange is no longer available you will have to contact the legal entity that took over control of the exchange. Unfortunately, for security reasons, we cannot accept any other means of verification except prove of ownership of the private key of the address.

2738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Toncoin mining on: December 19, 2021, 11:59:13 PM
Today it's no more profitable to mine this coin with rx580 8gb you can't even earn 2$ maybe it's because many new miners have joined the network already, I wish I heard about this project faster than most people already now it's like too late
Obviously, once people realize that a certain coin is very profitable they will rush to mine it and the end result is low mining revenue due to high hashing power directed to the network.

The project has been around for a while. The secret is in identifying a project with very high potential and being among the early miners before others realize it, but it's easier said than done.
2739  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda back as Ratimov, (alleged) on: December 19, 2021, 11:35:36 PM
@Ratimov has a liking for trading crypto derivatives and posting about it, Something I never saw Lauda do from the time I join this forum. OP, whatever your goal is. It backfired. Go back to the drawing board. Perhaps you feel bitter about some of your alts getting caught up and tagged, though you keep distancing yourself from it, which makes me think you are guilty conscious.
2740  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is currently the best lLEGITIMAL cloud miner i on: December 19, 2021, 10:58:23 PM
Wht you mean "buy a miner" ?

buy All hardware and miner at home for me?
It's the second-best Option you have. The first best option would be to wait for the bitcoin price to drop, buy the dip and HODL since the miner equipment prices are inflated right now due to shortages.

Avoid anything to do with Cloud mining. You will risk your money but will get almost nothing or just make losses through exit scams at the end.
