361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7 on: September 14, 2017, 05:35:47 PM
Update: Finally I managed to get about 5% speedup for this miner for almost all cards, I will release new version in about a week. Linux version too.

How about you read the very first post of this thread from start to finish.
sorry but I did not understand your answer to my post because I do not understand english very well, I'm using google translator.
What I wanted to inform is that claymore it mines also for email vasrashpil@gmail.com as well as for my email configured in the command line .bat of it.
This is as if it were a "box 2" without the knowledge of the person who uses the claymore because in .txt nor one that comes with the miner is quoted (I have already searched) so I would like to know where they mention that the person to use claymore also helps developers mining them by email (vasrashpil@gmail.com)
understood? because if they do not quote it is done occultly, if it is done occult it is done under malice, in which case it would be better if the person chooses to donate or not an x value for claymore

You were told correctly: read first post or Readme file. You will find these lines:

....
This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 2% if you use secure SSL/TLS connection to mining pool, miner mines 49 rounds for you and 1 round for developer.
If you use unsecure connection to mining pool, current developer fee is 2.5%, miner mines 39 rounds for you and 1 round for developer.
If you don't agree with the dev fee - don't use this miner, or use "-nofee" option.
....

Please spend some time to translate and understand this info.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 13, 2017, 06:43:19 PM
When using this miner for other coins than ETH it always needs to create the DAG new when the dev fee kicks in. This takes way too much time .. is there a chance to fix this in future versions?
Maybe to keep the DAG files in graphics card RAM to switch to it very fast? Memory shouldn't be a problem on 8 GB cards .. It can update the DAG in background if necessary but that doesn't change that often ..
Would that be possible? Thanks a lot Smiley

1. For ETC and EXP you can use appropriate options and DAG won't be recreated.
2. Allocating twice more memory can cause instability on multi-GPU systems sometimes, also it won't work for 4GB GPUs. Instead, I can include the DAG recreation time for ETH epoch into devfee time so every hour you will get about 15 seconds of mining more.

Claymore, how long we looking at for an updated miner?  I simply can not get stability with this miner with newer cards.  Are we looking at a month, a week, a day?  Please provide the forum some hope as to when you plan to have an updated miner for Monero.

I will release new version within two weeks.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 07, 2017, 11:26:34 AM
@claymore, how can i reset the overclocking of your program? where ca i find it? regedit? I mean, I had to change its name to reset the settings.

There is no simple way to restore default clocks. You can reinstall drivers, or do it via WattMan, also in most cases drivers apply default clocks after GPU driver crash.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 05, 2017, 05:34:13 PM

So I have been using the latest Claymore version since it came out.
My rig:
ASUZ Prime Z270-P
8x RX 580 8GB Nitro+ (Hynix)
Windows 10
Blockchain Beta Official Drivers
Claymore Dual Miner v.10.0
Modded BIOS, OC through Claymore @162w from the wall per card
Dual mining ETH (233 Mh/s) +DCR (7000 Mh/s)

Try to set original ROM, remove overclock and see if it helps, this way you can check that the reason is in your settings.
If your rig freezes, it must be something related to overclock, like wrong voltage for some power states, or something similar. It is not miner issue.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 03, 2017, 05:13:40 PM
@Claymore
The '-r -1' command line option is not working correctly in version 10; it still retries the initialization instead of closing.

I did not change anything related to "-r" option in v10.0, so the same issue must be in previous version too. Anyway, I will check it and fix in next update.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 03, 2017, 01:44:53 PM
please update Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner of Monero. It's a long time from last update.Besides,I guess mining Monero will get more money than mining ethereum at next year.
The most important is add dual mining function if it is possible. Thanks at first.

I second that emotion; if there can be any improvements to the Claymore Cryptonote miner it would be appreciated.

+1

I'm working on it already, currently I write assembler GPU kernels.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 01, 2017, 06:25:35 PM
@claymore
9.4 works fine.  Exactly the same batch file.   Did something change?

I change something all the time, but it works for all, so you should look for the reason in your environment: installed software or internet connection.

v10 still not working on win 7 blockchain driver

Blockchain drivers for Win7 are broken.

40mh eth + 290mh lbry )) vega64 liquid

LBC has good speed finally. Also in ETH-only mode I get >44MH at 1100MHz memory (air cooled Vega 64). The only problem with Vega is huge power consumption. And buggy ADL, but this problem is related to several cards.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 01, 2017, 03:50:05 PM
v10.0:

- added assembler kernels for ETH+LBC mining mode (AMD cards only), major speedup for LBC.
- about 1% ETH speedup for Vega cards.
- fixed issues with voltage/clocks management for latest AMD blockchain drivers (not completely).
- new GPU sorting method for NVIDIA cards. Now GPUs are sorted by physical bus index (it matches AfterBurner list of GPUs).
- for ETH+LBC mining mode maximal "dcri" value is 1000 now.
- added "-platform" option.
- added "ESTALE" option support in failover file epools.txt (see "-estale" option for details).
- several minor bug fixes and improvements.

Hi Claymore : is there a new version of your dual miner in the pipe, ready soon ?
The actual one is very good, but we ever hope better ;-).

I plan to release new version in 3-4 days. I've almost finished ASM mode for ETH+LBC, also try to find some workaround for voltage control.
Thank you for your reply.
Happy to know for a new release soon and the dual mining mode ETH + LBc will be my choice in the next days :-).

Stock 390X shows 30.6MH/s ETH in ETH-only mode, in dual mode now it shows about 30.3MH/s ETH + 122MH/s LBC. I need another day to make it work on Polaris and Vega cards.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 27, 2017, 07:37:06 PM
All other software , including wattman seams to work best when the P1 to P6 are disable for GPU and P1 / P2 for Memory, using 1 profile at min/max .  Allowing GPU to run only 1 state like that it has no oscillation, would that be a solution ? Of course in idle you have a high power consummation, but no miner should stay in idle with the GPU's, or default settings of GPU could be reset before quit script.
Thanks,

Is any third-part software able to manage voltage with blockchain drivers?

375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: August 27, 2017, 07:17:22 PM
Can anyone explain why Claymore found only 17 shares in the first 15 minutes of running and then when the DevFee kicked in it found 12 shares in 35 seconds?  (Zclassic)
EDIT:  this hour DevFee found nine shares in 49 seconds, this represents a rate more than four times that of the non-DevFee share rate.

It's a good idea to read Readme.txt or first post of this thread carefully.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 26, 2017, 12:01:53 PM
From my point of view I eliminate all the other possible variables: pools, drivers, mixed cards models etc, so is clear that the last possibility that the problem to be from the miner have been confirmed since the problem is not present on another miner software.
Can you please look at this and try to fix it?
Thank you

PM me the log file from my miner.
I will get mb with 13 pcie slots in a couple of days, then I will be able to try to reproduce this issue.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 24, 2017, 02:41:24 PM
There are too many miners that use the software, and most of them use Linux .. so problems like this are isolated and will probably not gone be fixed, since they are not even seen as a problem by author. As simple as that we are invited to use a different software if we don't like what we get , or to resolve the issue our self a simple fuck off... even if some of us are new register doesn't mean we where not here from the begin.
If is not a software issue then why Claymore zCash works fine with all AMD cards, or Claymore dual mining works to launch simulate multiple scripts?
...btw similar issue describe by youtuber Cryptomined in one of his video.
Thanks,

1. Mining process involves several things: hardware, OS, drivers, miner software, internet connection, pool. To make sure that the problem is in miner, it is a good idea to confirm it by checking that other miners work as expected.
Same for other things, for example, to make sure that the problem is in pool, you should try to use some different pool to confirm it. That's why I tell you to try different miner, not because I'm going to ignore issues related to my miner.
For example, yesterday some people had probems with DAG #128, some of them were sure that the problem is in my miner, I said that it's a good idea to try different miner or pool to confirm the reason, because this problem can be due to miner or due to pool. I said it not because I don't care.
2. This issue can be related to miner or to drivers, or to hardware, but if other miners work, it will prove that the problem is in miner. Other coins require different OpenCL parameters so miners for ZEC may work fine. Also OpenCL drivers may have some bugs/limitations that allow to use all cards from different miner instances but fail if all calls are from single instance.
3. Note that right now I cannot investigate the issue directly because I don't have mb with 12 pcie, it was not necessary for me until today and it will take some time to buy it. So right now I can only suggest to confirm the reason of the issue by checking if other miners work. I can also check log files if you PM me them, that's all I can do.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 24, 2017, 11:26:07 AM
Hi Claymore

As you can see from the other user also the exact same issue.
i thought it might have been the board but he is using a asus board and i am using a biostar board.
exact identical problem.

i tried genoils but doesnt seem to use all gpus.
I tried very old drivers, i tried new drivers, i tried the crypto drivers, they all doing the same thing,
i am only using 4 AMD cards per rig of 12

if i only put 6 amd cards then its fine
if i put 6 amd cards with 6 nvidia then ethdcrminer gives the issue,
if i put 6 nvidia only then its fine also
if i put 4 amd and 6 nvidia then  also this issue.

all we are asking is just have a look at the code please.
Thanks

My miner is closed source so you cannot see its code, but you always can have a look at the code of Genoil's miner and fix it somehow if you have appropriate skills and think that the reason is in miner software. As soon as you make some other miner work properly, you can state that the reason of the problem is my miner.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 24, 2017, 10:07:35 AM
I think there is a software problem and I will explain why I think that.
I am running multiple 13 GPU rigs all of them equipped with ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ , all of them have a mix of RX 580 8GB and Nvidia cards, running 7/8 RX and rest Nvidia.
The Nvidia is farming an different software with zcash , the RX all use Claymore Dual Mining.
What is the problem:
When I use -di with more then 3 AMD cards , the software refuse to start. Windows doesn't frozen PC is still running but the Claymore remains frozen at GPU #x: algorithm ASM
If I use -di 012 for example (maxim 3 AMD Cards) the software runes perfect, so basic for 7 GPU , I need to run 3 Claymore miner's with -di 012 , di 345 , di 6 (any other with more then 3 cards will frozen the software)
What combination I try:
- If I disable ASM , it get frozen at POOL/SOLO version, so is not an ASM problem.
- I tested multiple Claymore Dual mining software, 9.8 / 9.7 etc, with different AMD drivers, mixed old drivers, latest block chain driver , or the newest one available on website, same story for all
- Also I tested on all miners gser 1 and gser 2 option from the manual , is not working.
- If I enable 3 AMD cards and 5 Nvidia cards, is working fine, the problem is just for AMD cards over 3 enabled
- I increase my virtual memory on one rig from up to 60GB , it didn't help.
- I tested the software with dual mining enable and ETH mode only, and any other possible combination from Claymore manual.
Note: the zcash software is turned off during this tests , so no other program to interfere with Claymore miner.
I appreciate your work and I hope you can find a solution for this problem, special that lot of motherboard vendors announces mining boards with lot's of PCIe slots, Ex ASUS 19 GPU slots.
Thanks,

Miner does not care about how many cards are used, it just calls OpenCL. So it can be drivers-related problem. What if you start Genoil miner? Yeah vendors announce mining boards with 12-19 PCIe slots, but drivers fail to support it properly, at least in Windows.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 24, 2017, 09:26:12 AM
Hi Claymore

Have you managed to replicate the issue with 12 gpu systems
issue: on version 9.8 if you have more than 3 amd cards in a rig of 11 or 12 gpus ethdcrminer hangs on Algorith ASM, if you start the instance with 3 amd cards and the rest nvidia then it starts mining. then you have to start another instance of ethdcrminer with the remaining cards, .
This issue was also experienced by a youtube channel Cryptomined where he had to have multiple instances on 9.8 running in order to use all the cards.
When all cards are selected after the cmd window hangs nothing but a hard reset solves the hang.
Hope that helps, if you need any more info or troubleshhooting with this regards you can let me know.
thanks

I don't have appropriate hardware to test 12GPUs configuration. You can try some different miner to check if it is more stable, because the reason can be not in miner. Also try "-gser 1" or "-gser 2" option.
