v5.0 Beta:

- added new coin for dual mode: Siacoin. Now you can mine Ethereum, Ethereum+Decred or Ethereum+Siacoin.
- added "-dcoin" option to select a coin for dual mode.
- added "-allcoins exp" option value that allows you to mine Expanse and don't recreate DAG for devfee mining.
- added Decred support for Nicehash pool.
- default "-dcrt" option value is "5" now.
- improved detection of bad pool state: miner will disconnect if pool rejected more than a half of last 10 shares.
- "s" key: now miner also shows current difficulty so you can calculate how long it will take to find a share or a block.
- bug fixes.

I got access to private sia pool, so now my miner supports it as well. I will release new version in a couple of hours.

@Claymore
Can I use the last Crimson 16.X driver on my HD7970 using Windows 10 64bit ?
Any disadvantages compared to 15.12 ?
thx

I don't test all drivers, so the only way is to install them and see if they work ok for you.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 08, 2016, 09:27:10 AM
v5.0 is ready, but I have to catch another block to confirm that it works properly.
We need some public pools for Siacoin.

No public pool for Siacoin. There is closed pool betatesting on siamining.com So why not dual mining with SIA solo?

v5.0 can dual mine with SIA solo. However, you have to have a lot of GPUs to find SIA blocks regularly. Currently diff is about 4000TH so if you have 20GH/s on SIA you will find block evey 3 days. 20GH/s requires at least 20 GPUs 290/390 even if you set "-dcri 150" which causes only 40% of normal ETH speed in dual mode. If you don't want to lose ETH hashrate you will use "-dcri 30" and it will require >50 GPUs to achieve 20GH on SIA. That's the problem.

and you can make the setting for the pool?so as not to solo mine who knows a private pool.

thank you

I have no idea if my miner works with private pools because I have no access to any private pools.
As soon as someone opens public pool I will check and adjust miner if necessary so it will work there.

Just done a 3 hour mining test at Ethermine pool.
Rate reported by miner to the pool is: 44.7mhs.
Effective Hashrate from shares 39-41mhs over a 3 hour period.
So, even at Ethermine, up to 9% of hashrate gets no shares.

@Claymore
Is there something wrong with my claymore config, also is it possible to set cl-local-work in claymore ?
I test both miner to switch mining software, the result is the same claymore has 5-6% lower hashrate

Try "-etha 0" and then "-etha 1" to select best mode for your card.

@Claymore do you have some information regarding linux and rx480 with your miner ?
Thanks!

What's wrong with it?
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 06, 2016, 06:09:53 PM
I have 3 x R9 390 and 2 x RX 480 rigs
The 390 rig shows fan speed and gpu degree and i can set -tt 75
But the RX 480 rig won't show fan speed or hot and i can not set -tt 75
Are u gonna fix it on next release Claymore?

Yes I will check it.
EDIT: 480 card uses Overdrive v7, latest ADK SDK (v9) supports Overdrive v6, so currently AMD has no public documents about Overdrive v7 and therefore there is no way to manage temperature/fans/clocks of 480 cards.

Changing back and forth between EXP and ETH (devfee) freeze some rigs.
Could this be fixed in next revision, Claymore? Like mining exp for devfee...
i cant find a switch in miner that helps that issue.

Ok I will implement it in next update, it will be available in 2-3 days.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 05, 2016, 12:24:45 PM
Hi Claymore - any updates on ETA for the new version that includes the 2nd coin option? Thanks

It is ready but it takes a lot of time to test it. So I think I will release it in 2-4 days.

@Claymore:
What is duration of 390X GPU round when -dcri is set 8 and 16? I still can't decide what value is better. 16 makes higher hashrate, but increases some losses due to job changes. You estimated it as 1% but with what pool and rig hashrate (if they matter at all)? I think the GPU round starts when new block is found (that is, every 14 seconds), but what is the round time with both settings? I want to prove myself that 8 is better :-)
In short, is -ethi 8 still better than -ethi 16 in the long run, despite the hashrate reported?

With -ethi 8 GPU round time for 390/390x cards is about 120ms, so it will take about 240ms for -ethi 16. Other cards have similar time, though fury cards have about 200ms for -ethi 8.
So you can use higher -ethi values if your pool accepts stales, system is stable and you don't worry that windows freezes, also if you see that hashrate is higher. Though I prefer -ethi 8 because I don't see any good speedup and pools pay less for stales.

What settings for miningpoolhub? Huh
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool europe1.ethereum.miningpoolhub.com:20535 -ewal 0xe4b10dff72b58a363a3c8b70e21cfb236e2697c9 -eworker Foss.1 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mode 1 -etha 0 -erate 0 -ethi 10 -mport 0 -ftime 10 -logfile log.txt
pause
doesn't work

Just take sample for mininghub from OP and set you credentials. It uses port 20536. You try to use port 20535 which requires -esm 2 option and login/name instead of wallet address.

Hi Claymore,
Is it possible to make the function of downvolt on the videocards?

The problem is it will not work for all cards. But I can try to add this feature, I'll check if I some of my cards support voltage management via ADL.
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: June 30, 2016, 05:50:57 AM
Hello Claymore, what about decred on nicehash?

Going to add it in next update.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: June 29, 2016, 09:02:33 PM
I get
server : bind failed in error: 10048, next attempt in 10 seconds
error with the second instance
I use ethpool for the first instance, with -di 123
I use coinotron  for the second instance, with -di 04
what is this error in miner ?
Any body have an idea?

Use "-mport 0" option. You cannot open same port for remote management twice.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: June 28, 2016, 12:16:46 PM
wow.... new coin?
ETH and ??
Give us a hint Claymore  Shocked

I would not like to name it right now, just wait a few days.

Hello Claymore,
What could be the reason why effective and average hashrate is so much less than my reported hashrate??  The rig have been running at the same hashrate well over 48hrs so the data should be close for all.  Please see screenshot.

v4.7:

- improved stability of Linux version.
- fixed issue with possible crash if pool sends several jobs at once.
- added "-li" option.
- bug fixes.
- EthMan: added more options for sound notification.
- EthMan: added option to adjust hashrate warning threshold.

Also I'm working on v5 with some new coin for dual mining.
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.6 (Windows/Linux) on: June 28, 2016, 09:32:05 AM
Hello,

I know that there is a problem ordering the GPUs via OpenCL/ADL, but we have a slightly different issue here: OpenCL detects 2 of 2 GPUs, but the temperature is only shown for one of the two. OHM and own monitoring script show both cards.
The problem occurs on only 3 of 10 identical or very similar rigs (HW+Windows version). The result is that I can not use the built in clock/temperature control of the miner.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

1. Disable CrossFire.
2. You have dual card like 7990. Unfortunately, I don't have such cards to test.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.6 (Windows/Linux) on: June 27, 2016, 07:02:32 PM
so I should modify
-ethi parameter to -4196 or sth??

10% of rejects on ETH means that you have bad internet connection, or use bad pool, it is not related to miner settings.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Attention! We are looking for a linux tweaker and hardware overclocker. on: June 27, 2016, 06:58:14 PM
BTW, they contacted me to help them, looks like they are building a really very large farm.
But I could help only with miner setup/config, not with hardware or Linux, it's not my area of expertise.
