Hello.

I already wrote about my problem but didn't get any answer.

When I mine at Nicehash miner shows errors:

16:25:15:158 dd0 parse packet: 76
16:25:15:159 dd0 Error in server response
: {"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"error":{"code":24,"message":"Unauthorizedworker"}}
16:25:15:160 dd0 buf was cleared

16:38:31:026 d14 Round
16:38:31:045 564 SOMETHING WRONG WITH DEVFEE CONNECTION. STOP MINING.
16:38:31:051 564 Reconnect in 30 sec...

But with "nofee" or at Dwrfpool didn't get them

It's a good idea to ask Nicehash why the pool sends "Unauthorized worker" error.

@claymore

is it possible to disable temp and fan monitoring for the NV cards?

"-tt 0" disables it.

@Claymore
Do you have this one on your roadmap ? Maybe you have an information for target version ?
Thanks

I think I will add it in 1-2 weeks.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 11, 2016, 04:00:51 PM
rx 480 under linux support is dropped in 6.4 and 7.0 versions.

I'm getting:

Code:
Sep 11 17:42:51 rig3 kernel: [ 6802.533701] amdgpu 0000:05:00.0: GPU fault detected: 147 0x01f80801
Sep 11 17:42:51 rig3 kernel: [ 6802.534129] amdgpu 0000:05:00.0:   VM_CONTEXT1_PROTECTION_FAULT_ADDR   0x0810483B
Sep 11 17:42:51 rig3 kernel: [ 6802.534567] amdgpu 0000:05:00.0:   VM_CONTEXT1_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS 0x04084001
Sep 11 17:42:51 rig3 kernel: [ 6802.534997] VM fault (0x01, vmid 2) at page 135284795, read from 'TC7' (0x54433700) (132)

Now I'm using 6.3 version.

Read OP or Readme, "COMMAND LINE OPTIONS" section:

-etha   Ethereum algorithm mode. 0 - optimized for fast cards, 1 - optimized for slow cards, 2 - for gpu-pro Linux drivers. -1 - autodetect (default, automatically selects between 0 and 1).
You can also set this option for every card individually, for example "-etha 0,1,0".

PS. In next update miner will set "-etha 2" automatically if Linux+4xx detected.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 11, 2016, 02:12:46 PM
Claymore, will you be looking at zcash - equihash to see if you can put out a GPU miner?

I second that. I think it is very important for the smaller miners to have access to a good miner in the early stage.

Right now I don't have any plans to create that miner.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 10, 2016, 01:56:33 PM
Claymore,

thanks for your mining software.
i can mining at about 29MHs.

i have a problem here.
i use 2 rx 480 8gb ref cards.
there is only 1 card (gpu0) is temperature managed.
the other one is left unmanaged.
fan speed gpu1 is only 1800-2100rpm so the card gets hot at 75-80C.
i have tried -tt 60 or -tt 60,60 and -fanmax 85
no luck here.
am i missing something?
regards,

Check "FAQ" section of OP or Readme.

Could you please release a miner that will only mine solo with the eth proxy for a reasonable upfront cost.
d57heinz

To all:
Please don't ask me to create some private miner, sell some customized version of the miner, etc - I don't do such things.
Also please don't try to hire me to help with some mining farm, to create some miner for some coin, etc - I just don't have time for it.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.5 on: September 09, 2016, 04:01:07 PM
I suppose that the minimum requirement for the claymore miner are 256 ?
what i would want to know is this requirement necessary du to the mining algorithm or specific to your miner ?
thank you

1. Yes, 256 is required.
2. It is not related to algo, it is related to miner. I will not change it to 128, it is not so easy and I don't try to support 5xxx cards.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 09, 2016, 02:57:10 PM
Where the GPU fault errors fixed in recent versions of this miner for Polaris cards running the AMDGPU Pro drivers on linux...or anyone figure out whats causing them? The miner runs but these messages are spit out at like 1000/s which degrades performance and eventually fills up the dmesg log/drive with gigabytes of log files.

Code:
[  422.094330] VM fault (0x01, vmid 4) at page 135290878, read from 'TC7' (0x54433700) (132)
[  422.094350] systemd-journald[1257]: /dev/kmsg buffer overrun, some messages lost.
[  422.094434] amdgpu 0000:01:00.0: GPU fault detected: 147 0x0fd08801

[  422.094435] amdgpu 0000:01:00.0:   VM_CONTEXT1_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS 0x08088001

Use "-etha 2" option, available since v6.4.

Hi, this my speed (2x480 XFX)
Version 6.3:

Version 6.4,7.0:

Speed down on 0.8 MH/s ETH and 10 MH/s on DCR per each VC, with the same others parameters.
Is it normally?

Try different drivers, may be it's the reason, also you can try to set "-etha 2" option.

@claymore

Getting this with a R9 280x :

Code:
ETH - Total Speed: 0.000 Mh/s, Total Shares: 0, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:04
ETH: GPU0 0.000 Mh/s
 DCR - Total Speed: 0.000 Mh/s, Total Shares: 0, Rejected: 0
 DCR: GPU0 0.000 Mh/s
GPU0 t=50C fan=28%

What's wrong ?

This is not informative, the answer will be similar: something is wrong, zero hashrate is not normal.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 09, 2016, 10:16:54 AM
Is YIIMP supported for LBRY? My 7.0 does nor reckognize -u , -p etc

"-u", "-p" are your miner options, not pool options. For options of this miner you should read OP or Readme, find sample command line for Lbry and change pool address and login/psw.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 09, 2016, 09:14:37 AM
Hello! I'm using 4.7 version for a while, it works nice, and thank you.
Now I decide to upgrade it to 7.0(bat files the same), on one my farm I've got such error:
GPU 1, GpuMiner kx failed -48
This error occurs on each GPU, went back to 4.7

btw, what may be a reason of such error?

When you upgrade to new version it's a good idea to copy all files, not just .exe.

Hi Claymore, feature request:
set fan's speed to auto when close miner

Agreed, will be added in next update.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 08, 2016, 01:05:37 PM
@Claymore

Is it possible on a sigle RIG with different GPU (I have RX470 and HD7970) run 2 different processes 1 for RX470 that mine ETC+LSB and another for HD7970 that mine ETC+SC ?

thanks

Yes, create two config files (or use two folders), specify "-mport 0" to disable remote management (or use different ports), use "-di" option to select cards in every miner instance, that is all. However, often it's a bad idea to mix cards of different generations since some of them may work slowly because driver is optimized for some one generation usually. You can solve it by copying appropriate OpenCL driver files (amdocl64, amd_opencl64.dll) to the folder with miner, but I'm not experienced in such things (last time I did it ages ago), you can search on this forum for details.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.5 on: September 08, 2016, 12:26:18 PM
Hi, Claymore. do you consider release dual mine XMR+ other coins?

I'm not going to do it right now.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 08, 2016, 08:15:23 AM
About low hashrates in dual mode - it seems I need to combine some of my messages into one and add some more comments about ETH+LBC mode.

1. AMD cards always handle dual mode better than NVidia. Especially 290(X)/390(X) cards, they are the best. RX480 is good too. Other cards are not so good in dual mode.
2. Lbry is not so good for dual mode as Sia or Decred, it takes too much GPU time, therefore ETH suffers. So only powerful cards are good in ETH+LBC mode. Do not use it on 280, 270, 7xxx, etc. On these cards ETH+DCR or ETH+SIA is better.
3. My test rig: 6x390, stock clocks, gives 172MH/s ETH in ETH-only mode.
In ETH+LBC mode, "-dcri 16", it gives 167MH/s ETH + 167MH/s LBC.
If you have 290/390 cards and see big drop on ETH even on "-dcri 16", make sure you use 15.12 drivers.
So I see -5MH/s ETH but +167MH/S Lbry, i.e. dual mining is working. Unfortunately, there is no way to get 0% drop on ETH if you mine ETH+LBC. Why? See item #2.
4. Why I added ETH+LBC if it causes ETH hashrate drop? Because this mode is good anyway for fast cards like 290/390/480, you get small ETH drop but good LBC speed.
5. Why I added ETH+LBC if ETH+LBC has less profit than LBC-only mining? Because in future ETH+LBC can have more profit than LBC-only.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 07, 2016, 10:17:37 PM
ETH+Lbry totally kills my hashrate on R9 390. down from 31MH to around 25.

My test rig: 6x390, stock clocks, gives 172MH/s ETH in ETH-only mode.
In ETH+LBC mode, "-dcri 16", it gives 167MH/s ETH + 167MH/s LBC.
If you have big drop on ETH even on "-dcri 16", make sure you use 15.12 drivers.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.2 (Windows/Linux) on: September 07, 2016, 08:59:51 PM
I'm checking this issue in Linux, so I will have some news in a few hours.

Also, even though I have the ADL v10 linked in my /usr/lib, the miner complains about no ADL installed. This is with Ubuntu 16.04. Any details regarding this would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

ADL SDK v10 contains sample code for overlocking, but it created for Windows because code loads "atiadlxx.dll" library. ADL SDK v9 also contains code for Linux that loads "libatiadlxx.so" library. So either AMD devs forgot to include code for Linux in ADL SDK v10, or Linux is not supported by ADL SDK v10.
Right now miner tries to load "libatiadlxx.so", if it writes that ADL is not supported it means that you don't have "libatiadlxx.so" file.

PS. Now I can duplicate issue with Linux (gpu fault detected), but it will take some more time to find the reason and fix it.

Hi Claymore, I found a version of AMD drivers that now include libatiadlxx.so, it's in the SteamOS repo for AMDGPU-PRO drivers 16.40.
Found it through here: https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/linux-graphics-x-org-drivers/amd-linux/895520-amdgpu-pro-controlling-hardware-settings-for-polaris

Does miner show temp/fan with these drivers?
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 07, 2016, 07:14:37 PM
5 x 1070 EVGA SC (default clocks)
Windows 10 Anniversary Update
Nvidia driver: 372.54

ETH 24.8/card
LBC 23.7/card

One more win for Polaris over Pascal  Grin

Are u sure?
With ccminer 1.8.1 it make 250mhs each on LBC (with default clocks).

I get similarly bad results with 1060, and 970.  They don't do well dual mining LBRY.  Dual mining SIA they are ok, but more profitable to min LBRY only with ccMiner.

When LBC has more profit than ETH, better mine LBC only. But if LBC has about same profit as ETH, dual is better and you can set big -dcri for best results, for example on stock 1070 with "-dcri 450" I see 14.4MH/s ETH and 140MH/s LBC, both values are higher than 50% of single-mining mode. If LBC has less profit than ETH, reduce -dcri to get more ETH.
Don't forget that you can change -dcri in runtime with "+" and "-" keys and see current hashrates with "s" key.

Yeah, I get 7-8MH Eth and 90 LBC, with sia I can get ~19MH.  The Eth drops too much for profitability now as LBRY is is more profitable.  -dcri 500 gets ~40% Eth, and ~65%.  On 480/470s, I can get ~90% Eth while ~45% LBRY with -dcri 40.  Just saying the AMD cards seem to handle it a lot better.

AMD cards always handle dual mode better than NVidia. Especially 290(X)/390(X) cards, they are the best. RX480 is good too. Other cards are not so good in dual mode.
Also Lbry is not so good for dual mode as Sia or Decred, it takes too much GPU time.

v7.0 Beta:

- added new coin for dual mode: LBRY(LBC). Now you can mine Ethereum, Ethereum+Decred, Ethereum+Siacoin or Ethereum+Lbry.
- some minor improvements and bug fixes.
Thanks for all your hard work! Got it dual mining on all my rigs now.
Looks like you uploaded v7 to Mega but not to Google drive. Just wanted to let you know so you can fix it.

I did upload to google-drive. Try to logout from your google account and open the link again.
