It looks like this issue is related to Linux version only. Pool does not answer for http request for >2 minutes and watchdog restarts miner. I can send you an update for tests with enabled http timeout, it must help. Send me PM if you want to test.

hi claymore, last time i see in ethmon that miner restarts 10 times a day. i see following thing in log: 04:02:42:756 b9ffb700 send: {"worker": "", "jsonrpc": "2.0", "params"$ 04:02:45:287 baffd700 ETH: put share nonce 4dc3cf0092a09a3d 04:02:45:287 baffd700 ETH round found 1 shares 04:02:45:288 b9ffb700 ETH: 07/11/16-04:02:45 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 1) 04:02:45:288 b9ffb700 send: {"id":4,"method":"eth_submitWork","params$ 04:02:52:757 b9ffb700 ETH: checking pool connection... 04:02:52:757 b9ffb700 send: {"worker": "", "jsonrpc": "2.0", "params"$ 04:02:53:443 cf0e2780 GPU0 t=68C fan=85%, GPU1 t=67C fan=85% 04:02:53:443 cf0e2780 em hbt: 1, dm hbt: 110858, fm hbt: 70, 04:02:53:443 cf0e2780 watchdog - thread 0, hb time 177 04:02:53:443 cf0e2780 watchdog - thread 1, hb time 54 04:02:53:443 cf0e2780 watchdog - thread 2, hb time 17 04:02:53:443 cf0e2780 watchdog - thread 3, hb time 137 04:03:02:557 b9ffb700 send: {"id":6,"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"eth_sub$ 04:03:02:759 b9ffb700 ETH: checking pool connection... 04:03:02:759 b9ffb700 send: {"worker": "", "jsonrpc": "2.0", "params"$ 04:03:12:760 b9ffb700 ETH: checking pool connection... 04:03:12:760 b9ffb700 send: {"worker": "", "jsonrpc": "2.0", "params"$ 04:03:22:557 b9ffb700 send: {"id":6,"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"eth_sub$ 04:03:22:761 b9ffb700 ETH: checking pool connection... 04:03:22:761 b9ffb700 send: {"worker": "", "jsonrpc": "2.0", "params"$ 04:03:23:453 cf0e2780 GPU0 t=68C fan=85%, GPU1 t=67C fan=85% 04:03:23:453 cf0e2780 watchdog - dminer threads hangs 04:03:23:453 cf0e2780 em hbt: 0, dm hbt: 140867, fm hbt: 57, 04:03:23:453 cf0e2780 Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner! @Claymore
Hey, played around with it. -gser 2 did not make a difference, but if I removed SIA minning and it works. Is there anyway to make both work?
On eth it is running no problems.
Thanks -Art
I already told you all my thoughts.

@Claymore: what does this mean in logs (I set -r 1 to reboot in case of issues): 23:13:49:189 71a94780 watchdog - dminer threads hangs 23:13:49:189 71a94780 em hbt: 1, dm hbt: 120073, fm hbt: 80, 23:13:49:189 71a94780 Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner! 23:13:49:189 71a94780 Rebooting
This issue occured on both my Linux rigs at the same moment. It was repeated (rebooted) 3 times before continued mining. I also found that at the same time nanopool had hashrate drop, so it looks like some issue with the pool. What concerns me, that an issue with the secondary coin pool resulted in reboot (restart) when it should be sufficient to restart some threads (they are not GPU/OpenCL related). Maybe makes sense to restart just miner if it is not a hardware/OpenCL issue, and reboot only when there are problems with GPU? PM me the complete log. Restarting thread is not a good idea because it may fail if thread that hangs locked some resource, for example, critical section. Or if it starts to work in some time. @claymore Why does Linux get lower speed then Windows ( by 2MH/s from 6 GPU Rig )

Someone please help! When I try to mine with RX480, the miner crashes. A have 3 card - 2x270X and 1xRX480. If i try to mine with only 270X, there is no problem, but if I try to mine with all 3 or just with the polaris - the miner crashes. I post last rows from log file:
01:40:59:271 d20 Total cards: 3 01:40:59:287 d20 Initializing...
01:40:59:303 d20 GPU #0 recognized as Radeon RX 480 01:40:59:303 d20 GPU #1 recognized as Radeon 270/270X 01:40:59:318 d20 GPU #2 recognized as Radeon 270/270X 01:40:59:318 d20 POOL/SOLO version 01:40:59:318 d20 b167 01:40:59:350 d20 start building OpenCL program...
I don't know what happened, I was mining with RX480 for 1 day, but then I try some intensity changes and after all I cannot mine with RX480 anymore...
Claymore, please help. I reinstall Windows and no change, still can't mine. ;( If it fails on "start building OpenCL program" - something is wrong with OpenCL, i.e. with drivers.

Hello Thats about where it always crashes.....any help would be appreciated I have ran through the troubleshooting. I have over 16g virtual availiable, running 15.12 driver, no overclocking on these cards. Since this rig is half my hashing power, it would be nice to have it on your miner as well. Thanks -Art Edit: My programming skills are limited, so please if you explain, keep it simple It crashes at DAG creation. Usually due to overclocking or weak PSU. Also try "-gser 2" option if you have several cards like in your log.

I just thought about that And could help me with my first card (is much hotter than 2nd and 3rd) How to make it max temp. to about 80*C and other f.e. about 75*C ? -tt should be turned on if I want to use -ttdcr , isn't it? or I mess something and I can make it in AMD overdrive? You can use default -tt 1, so drivers will manage temps, but -ttdcr still will work. Hi Claymore, The monitoring dashboard is not able to show RX480 temps. Can help fix it in the next release? Thanks
Have to wait when AMD releases ADL 10: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.msg15492287#msg15492287

Dear Claymore, I have to go back to fan/temp ttdcr "issue" I wrote about that some time ago but noone noticed.. I have set -ttdcr to 82*C and it looks now this way: GPU0 t=82C fan=72%, GPU1 t=82C fan=51%, GPU2 t=85C fan=29% Maybe you could give in next release something like: -minfanspeed or so and my 2nd and 3rd card could be cooler this way? If you want to cool them more, set lower -tt. Or use static fan speed. look at % please.. and look at that: DCR coefs (-ttdcr): GPU0 100%, GPU1 100%, GPU2 85% GPU0 t=82C fan=73%, GPU1 t=81C fan=45%, GPU2 t=83C fan=41% So you can see decred intensity on GPU2 is decreased athough fanspeed is only 41%.. It's a good idea to set -ttdcr higher than -tt, by about 4-5C.

For those who has low hashrate on some rigs mining sia: you probably forgot to remove/adjust -dcri option. Default is 30, I used 40-47 depending on GPU. After adjustment I have around 0.5% lower ETH hashrate instead of 5% initially.
@Claymore: so what is correct -dcoin option: sia or sc (or both accepted)? In examples here you write 'sia', but manual says 'sc'.
both are ok. for decred you can use dcr or decred for siacoin you can use sia, sc or siacoin

@claymore in the remote manager in 5.0 the dropdown for "second coin name" only has "Decred" as an option. remote manager is at 1.4.. no changes from 4.7 release? cant remember what it was at before.
You can type "Sia" in that dropdown. But I will add "Sia" preselection in next update. I see this often when mining Exp on dwarfpool: ETH:: No new jobs were received for 5 mins - something wrong with the pool, disconnect. I browsed Op but couldn't find flag to adjust this value (apologies if i missed it). Is there some flag to adjust this value if not can it be added in future release, thanks!
Ok, I will add appropriate option in next update. Claymore, does v5.0 can mine only sia, like -mode 1?! If not, maybe you can do this in next release?! (-mode 3 is sia mining only) Thx
As I said before, it is Ethereum miner. Other coins can be mined with sgminer or with gominer.

no quotes needed
You are correct, quotes can be skipped. Though it works with them too. But if you remove quotes, it will not work in command line. In command line you have to use quotes around entire "-dpool" value if you want to specify worker. @Claymore Have you taken a look at the remote manager? It doesn't work with version 5. 4.6 works fine 5.0 works fine on the local machine 5.0 doesn't work for remote machines. (same ip and port numbers as 4.6)
It works for me.

I need to see command line that demostrates that it worked in 4.x but does not work now. It is never work Then why you write " Now your miner can't mine solo" if it never worked?

1. Readme in Russian is awesome! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. 2. Miner does not use a lot of physical RAM. However, it allocates a lot of GPU RAM, and it can fail even if GPU has enough RAM. The worst thing is I don't know why, it is something related to AMD OpenCL drivers. I noticed that if system has some virtual memory it works more stable, so I recommend to allocate 16GB. On some systems it works fine without any virtual memory, on some systems it requires at least 16GB. In general, OpenCL stability (when a lot of GPU RAM is allocated) depends on the size of physical RAM (more - better), number of GPUs (more GPUs - less stability) and the size of virtual memory. 3. config.dat is same as for command line: -dpool http://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:9980/miner/header?address=YourSiaAddress&worker=YourWorkerName-dcoin sia 4. dpools.txt is similar (don't forget to use -dcoin sia in command line or config.txt): POOL: http://sia-eu1.nanopool.org:9980/miner/header?address=YourSiaAddress&worker=YourWorkerName

Diff is showing 2000mh. How the hell do i calculate that?
Examples: ETH: Diff 2000MH. It means that miner must check 2000M hashes to find a share, in average. So if your speed is 20MH/sec it will find a share every 100 seconds, in average. Same for SIA: Diff 50GH. It means that if your Sia mining speed is 1GH/s you will find shares every 50 seconds, in average. When you mine Sia solo, Diff is about 4000000GH. So if your mining speed is 1GH/s you will solve blocks every 4000000 seconds (about 46 days), in average.
