Hi, Claymore,
Hi, guys,

Can you please help me. I've noticed that the miner is getting stuck several times in the past few days.
So I have carefully read "red lines" and it says error 10004.
The miner restarts after this error. But few minutes later same error - miner restarts again and get stuck on "POOl/SOLO...." text.

What is this error? And where is the problem, i.e. what should I do to fix it?
Thank you.

It's uncommon error, something is wrong with winsock. You can PM me the log.

2 Claymore
What about https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/releases/tag/v1.4.8
Should you update your miner? As your miner has great % of ether mining, is running unupdates miners is voting anti-soft-fork may cause problems 0-o

I get a lot of PMs, usually I answer all, but can miss some, sorry. I will PM you debug version today, it looks like resources leak instead of time overflow, but I cannot debug/handle such thing in Linux properly, it's not my primary OS.
That might be the memory leak since I reported you about that already. Now I still use 4.5 after 7 hours of total rejects @ Dwarf with 4.6 for both rigs. I can run the debug version but do not like an idea of having another few hours of rejects Smiley
Unfortunately I can't help with memory leak debug for closed source software.

It's not a memory leak. I'd like to see the log with rejects. Anyway, I'll send you a debug version soon.

v4.6:
- bug fixes.

Can you confirm if it has any stability improvements on Linux regarding statistics socket? 4.4 had issues, 4.5 didn't have as I thought but there was a report of them here. Today I also found the issue of loosing socket by 4.5 on Linux. What about 4.6, were any changes done for it?

Since you twice ignored this question, I assume the answer is "No changes, Linux 4.6 telemetry still is unstable".

Due to reject issues with 4.6 and some pools I set back to 4.5. After running two rigs for ~45 hours both at the same time and same uptime had lost telemetry sockets, still running fine for mining. I am sending you links to both full logs in PM.

Any chances to have stable telemetry on Linux? Or should I finally write an own process monitor and restart miner when telemetry is lost?

I still cannot reproduce this issue. PM me, I can send you a debug version with more detailed log, it seems it's the only way to fix this problem.
I PMed you at the same time as I wrote it and sent links to full logs. PM was not answered.

Now I repeated the case. Again, both rigs started at the same time stopped responding at the same time. That is common, the uptime - it is around 45 hours. I think some timer overflows with that period.

With 4.6, Single 7970GPU(1150,1500), the gpu hangs after some hours and stops working. Hashrate: 20.5+
With 4.5, Single 7970GPU(1150,1500), the gpu 100% Stable. Hashrate: 20.2-
Why its not stable?

Both 4.5 and 4.6 use same OpenCL kernels, so hashrate and stability must be the same...

Hi Claymore,
I am currently testing a rig with multi GPUs on CDMv4.6
During test, I noticed that an isolated spike in temperature went to 100c and very quickly went down to normal (60s).
Unfortunately, the switches that i have used triggered CDM to shut down that GPU.
The temp spike was really isolated...
My question:
for determining genuine high temp on GPUs, can CDM ignore temp spikes?
Thanks

Do you think it's a good idea to add a pause before disabling overheated GPU? I'm not sure.

I think even a quarter of a second, may help so that CDM can be very sure that this is a genuine temperature increase and not a "odd electronic surge", perhaps a user define switch if its not too much coding effort. Thanks

What I cannot understand is how your GPU can change temperature so fast. It takes a few seconds to warm GPU by 10-15C. Did you remove cooling system?

Claymore, will there be plans to make the miner more efficient with newer drivers to support the release of the Radeon RX 480?

As soon as I get that card I will select best driver version and update miner.

Is it possible to solo with Sammy007's proxy? If not, any way to get the statistics that it provides, mainly blocks per rig?

It must work though miner cannot pass rig name in HTTP solo mode. You can see stats via EthMan, every share in solo mode is a block.

I need log to see it.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.6 (Windows/Linux) on: June 25, 2016, 12:34:04 PM
@Claymore

Am I correct in saying the mining pools where I mine at will be deciding whether or not I choose soft-fork?  The pool is basically who controls geth for the miners that use that pool?

Yes, you are correct.

Hi Claymore,

I was reading some updates on the Ethereum forum about a Parity version of stock ethminer, that suppose to be more optimised for mining.

My question is, will CDM adopt this "parity" thingy or its something to expect in future versions. v4.6 is working fine for me and if it ain't broke I rather not fix or mess with other miner app.

Incidentally, I read somewhere that this "parity" thing was tweeted by Vitalik after the DAO hack, that he wants miners to use this asap  - sorry I am not technically an expert but after reading these in the forums out there - any comments with regards to future CDM versions with this "parity" feature?

Thanks

Miner is not related to Ethereum blockchain, forks, etc. These things are related to geth.

Claymore do you use own kernell  am I right or I mess sth?

Yes, I use own kernel.

Hey,
I encountered the same issues on 15 of my rigs actually. We are using windows 10, windows defender disabled. I will rollback tonight to 4.5 since 4.6 has been very unstable for us.
It's actually the first time that I see all my rigs with yellow/red warning on ethpool with 20-30% rejeted shares. Also, we had ethdcr.exe that has stopped working as a common thing (the windows error thing that is stopping that application). It seems to happen all at the same time as well, on rotation. Hopefully we have some UBNT mpower to restart our rigs when the power goes under 500W.
We had that problem that was happening once in a while, but nothing like that since I updated to 4.6.
Anyways, keep the good work, we are just going back to 4.5

My test rigs are mining on ethpool currently, for 60 hours without restarts, five rigs, no rejects. PM me the log so I can check rejects.

Stratum v2 Port online: http://eth.suprnova.cc:4000  I was thinking they do=(

Stratum address cannot start with "HTTP". Supernova has own idea what is stratum. Again, you cannot mine ETH on supernova with my miner.

PM me the log file, I will check it.

Hi!
I was made something about mining eth+dcr on supenova's pools, but earning dcr connection(green)*recieving unknown response* (red)/
What's caused that error?Help me please, I've got win 7/64 , amd a10, r9 nano, 32g.om, sadly earlier I refresh my crimson to 16.7 .
I can send you a log) thanks)

You cannot mine ETH on supernova because they don't have stratum for it. Anyway, you can send your command line here. DCR must be ok.

There was no answer, sad.

Afraid, I've got another one: using CDM for more than a month, have never had any reject on Dwarf. With 4.6 just mined for 3 hours with all shares rejected after 30+ hours of normal run on TWO separate rigs. Version 4.5 on the 3rd rig works as it should. Both 4.6 stopped working at the same time (both booted at the same time). Nothing triggered, including "failover if pool rejects too many shares" after 800+ rejected shares in a raw. Had to switch back to 4.5.

PM me the log file, I will check it.

@Claymore
Any ideas to what might cause this error msg
GPU 2, OpenCL error -4 - cannot create DAG on GPU
I only recently get this error, after some random number of watchdog restarts the gpu builds the dag fine, i tried serializing dag generation and lowering clocks neither has any effect.

OpenCL cannot allocate memory on GPU. It is something related to drivers, system RAM size, environment variables (see readme), may be something else. There is no direct answer how to fix it.

Claymore when I connect to NiceHash, through epools.txt file. POOL: daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353, EWAL: 15LVqK3Xz6DuBK9gZDvD5sbiW6Tgv3z3Nc, PSW: x, WORKER :, ESM: 3, ALLPOOLS: 1, ESTALE: 0. I get the error: ETH: can not find any specified wallet address !. Through bat file all is well. What am I doing wrong ?

Check sample "epools.txt", there is no "EWAL" parameter, there is "WALLET" instead.
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.6 (Windows/Linux) on: June 20, 2016, 08:45:53 PM
Claymore - Can we have a feature to show Temp for the GPU in the Statistics for the workers?  I think that would be very useful.  The App for Android is nice, it is too much effort to put each IP address.  Who created that APP?  Would be nice to have a subnet scan.

Miner shows GPU temperature. EthMan.exe shows it too. So what's the question? If you mean showing temperature in some other software - contact its developers.
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.6 (Windows/Linux) on: June 20, 2016, 04:03:27 PM
Hey claymore. First i want to say that ur miner is great  Grin . I'm sorry in advance in case this was asked a million times but i couldnt read the whole post.
First; Its there a chance that the dual miner can work with other coins that are more profitable than decred?. Example; Expanse or shift or can u add that option in the future?
Second question, maybe in the future can we buy ur miner for a a period of time (lets says 30 days) instead of a devfee? I dont like that the miner switch very often and that creates a drop in the hashrate.
Third question, what is the bat config example to dual mine in nicehash?
Thanks.  Cool

1. You can mine expanse, read Readme ("Ethereum forks mining" string). For dual mode as a second coin you can mine Decred only.
2. No, I don't sell miners. Also I think switching one time per an hour is not very often.
3. You can mine ETH on nicehash, but not DCR because they have own stratum for DCR that I not implemented yet.

Hello Claymore. Thank for your great work on this miner what help`s us a lot.
But i would like to ask some very important features as from my view.

1) Summer heat come and we have almost not any options to lover gpu usage, with new drivers we have almost no any options to lover gpu frequency- and some of my cards get to 85+ at the middle of the day heat( i set lover voltage, lover freq, max fans, set additional power funs, bios mods). It would be very good if you could add option to make lower gpu usage - something similar -insensitivity as we have in old cgminer. And it will be perfect to lover -insensitivity on any card from our choice as often we have 1-2 GPU overheat from 4.

2) On some of my rigs as i look at msi afterburner i see gpu usage drop to 0% periodically(on some to 50%), think it is not good for GPU, and as i remember on your past miners you make what gpu was full load without drops. If it is possible to make it will be good.

As old miner if i will see this 2 point in your miner you could be patient what without no doubt i chose your miner.

Best regards from russian miners community.

1. Ok I will add an option for that, but note that less GPU load will reduce mining speed.
2. I don't see such things (except if you specify low -ethi, for example, "-ethi 1"), but sometimes it can be for primary GPU because it is also used by Windows. Or may be you have some hardware problems. You can ask here if someone has similar problems.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XPM (PrimeCoin) GPU Miner v13.1 on: June 20, 2016, 12:54:12 PM
Claymore, what about adopting this miner to other pools? xpmforall.org for example?

Ypool had built-in feature for devfee calculation for miner developers. Other pools have no such feature, so I'll have to change many things in the miner. May be I will do it in future, but not right now. You still can mine solo with my miner, currently XPM diff is pretty low.
