If you want to throw away money that is fine with me, just send it to me to throw it away rather then a scammer.

Glad you liked my review. I would say running at -20 shouldnt be a problem but you never know till you try.

Yea I figured since it is winter might as well let them get as much power as possible then come summer downclock.

Sure here it is,

367  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Review] Spondoolies SP20E Jackson review by Starsoccer9 on: January 03, 2015, 01:39:24 PM
Pre-Arrival

I would like to start by thanking Spondooliestech for giving me a unit to review as well as being so understanding for the delay in posting this review.
Day of Arrival

My SP20 arrived relatively quickly and was quite surprised by how nice it was packaged up compared to some BFL stuff I had received previously. I had 2 PSU already ready from previously using them on some Antminer S3's. 2 750Watt PSU so I figured powering the SP20 would be no problem. Sadly one of my PSU started acting up and turning its self off so I had to order a new/replacement for it.

Looking at the unit, it basically reminds me of a long antminer S3 or long BFL 60gh or 30gh unit, but with clearly more power.
Day of PSU replacement Arrival

After getting the replacement arriving yesterday I plugged it into The Sp20 and it worked flawlessly.

Here is a picture of the dashboard about an hour and a half in,

Below is the tempature as well as some more stats

I would say all in all the Unit is great and is running solid since putting the new PSU. The hardest part of the setup was getting the wireless repeater I had setup to work with my current network.
Summary

All in all the Sp20 is a solid unit with great down-clocking abilities

@hashcoins,

Id highly recommend you send you atleast one review unit to me or another legendary member who can go and verify your units are real so all the claims of your units being fake will no longer be an issue.

Also I noticed there is a "Mentions" function on your site:

How does that work? If someone mentions a specific bitcoin address on a forum it shows up via your API?
Very interesting have to say, if you could point me in the right direction on where I could learn more about that.

Potentially this function should work on any forum like BTCTalk and maybe Reddit?

Yes that is correct.

I mean really its just a bot looking over specific sites for text.

371  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 21, 2014, 08:54:22 PM
I personally far from think it was fair for what happened relating to hashfast, but I do understand what happened and yes it sucks but I mean at this point there is nothing that can be done. The company has no money to refund customers and has assets that are sitting depreciating everyday.
372  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Outdoor Heated Flooring System Driven With Bitcoin Mining on: December 16, 2014, 12:56:27 PM
Will it not be cheaper, doing it the normal way? Central heating is cheaper than Asic's right?

How are you going to do maintenance on these Asic's when they fail?

Post some photo's ... I'd like to see, what you talking about. {Scale}

Yes that is correct. The only way it becomes feasable is if your getting the chips for dirt cheap and even then overtime the unit will generate less and less bitcoins and eventually become worthless. Also not to mention any thing you plan to use an asic chip in needs a controller of some sorta as well as internet. Which means if your internet goes down the chips stop working. So you will need a fail safe that just generates useless work as well.
373  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Outdoor Heated Flooring System Driven With Bitcoin Mining on: December 16, 2014, 02:53:07 AM
I work for an electric radiant floor heating systems manufacturer. Eighteen months ago I convinced my employer to start a bitcoin mining farm. That farm is no longer making a substantial profit and is being disassembled. My employer wanted to continue working with bitcoin and made the decision to allow a small team to design a bitcoin powered floor heating system in our downtime using some parts we have laying around. We have designed a few prototypes but the noise needed to generate the necessary airflow was a challenge we were unable to overcome for indoor units. This is why I am here. We were able to build an outdoor unit with excellent results. I do not wish to get overly specific but to put it simply - burying the miners underground and exhausting the heat through a pad and out between tiles creates a very nice warming effect outdoors in cold weather. There are some significant issues that remain. We have not yet come up with a long term solution for keeping rain or other moisture from finding the miners without compromising the airflow. We have to build a controller that will read the floor sensor temperatures and up/down clock the miners automatically. We need to test literally hundreds of components and materials to see what will work best. My employer is optimistic about the project and does not mind it being worked on when we are not busy with other projects but is unwilling to purchase the necessary materials we need to do the proper testing and complete a product that could be taken to market.

I am looking for feedback on whether this is a project worth putting my own money or possibly money from investors in. If anyone has experience keeping moisture from buried electronics or is interested in investing in the project we could use your help. Private message me if you wish to discuss or feel free to ask questions here.

Well from some previous reading, I am quite sure it is more efficient to heat the the floor with straight electric then use an asic to generate the heat to produce it. There was a long article comparing the cost and the only way it made sense was if you had free electricity

Anyway, We're trader so we can't unused any money.
If 1BTC give to an escrow so investors how can get profit? because 1BTC is unused and we just trading with our own money, so benefit is for owns. I think my words is rational.
You already got your answer:

Quote
to run a business like this, you should have a reserve equal to the sum you receive from your first month of clientelle.
brokers do not trade from client funds, brokers trade from their own reserve, clients are paid their portion of the profit after you have done the trade.

you can't just say

'give us your money and we will trade with it'

that's not how it works. in normal circumstance, a broker is doing it as a full time job because they are good at it.
if they are good at it, they will have full reserve to secure the assets of their customers.

Escrow deposit can be released step by step each time interest is paid to customers.

Basically I am saying that the user should deposit 1btc and then 1 coin should be given to an escrow agent as a money back gurentee

No problem and we agree, but if money  pay to escrow so how we do trading and play with money?

I will have to agree with raskul, you should have a reserve if you are claiming money back guarantee as well in worst case have a fractional reserve.

How can we using escrow for trading? We will send btc's to our trading account and we will play with money. so how can we using escrow service?

I have an idea..

Who are trusted escrow service in Bitcointalk? reliable and trusted.
We can send our btc-e login info for access to escrow service.

This idea is very trust idea for all members.

That is not what I am saying. You claim you will provide money back guarantee. So I am saying when the money back guarantee kicks in you give the money to a trusted escrow to hold. If you go bankrupt then the escrow pays out the money. If not he returns it to you.

what sort of timescale would you put on this to show the company have 'not gone bankrupt' ?

well I think there are 2 options

1. Do it as a reserve so that the original investment of all users is at bare minimum covered.

2. have it as a full reserve where 100% of user balances is held by an escrow agent until such time as the user withdraws his balance.

Totally agree on that. This is how legitimate brokers actually work.
Trading off their own reserve while adding client funds to that reserve. In this instance, because: blockchain; its easy for the broker to give confidence to the prospective client by showing the btc reserve address.
In this case the reserve should be in escrow.
I'd be confident to use a broker that employs this method.

So you mean members send BTC to escrow and after pay monthly/weekly profit to them, escrow pay to me?

Anyway, we accept escrow, but if members pay money to escrow so how we trade?

No users deposit funds to you and you make a money back guarantee to the escrow so that if you disappear the escrow has the money back guarantee money to give to users.
