362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 24, 2024, 12:58:07 PM
Undercard has started, unfortunately, for Filipino boxing fans, Jonas Sultan lost via knockout to Riku Masuda in round 1.

Kosei Tanaka vs. Christian Bacasegua Rangel for the WBO super flyweight title next.

Nobody saw this coming, Jonas is a veteran in championship fights it is very unlikely that he'll lose to a guy who is not yet a veteran in the ring having four fights in his career, but this is boxing anything can happen, a kidney punch is harder to recover than a head or chin punch because you can hardly breathe and you cannot move your body straight, a perfectly landed kidney shot will get you immobile for a few seconds.
Sultan will have a hard time climbing to the top again with this loss, he is expected to win here I even consider this a cherry-picked fight for Sultan.

That's the kind of unpredictability in boxing; he was careless and got caught up with a solid body shot, and he's done. It's currently Inoue vs. Takuma now, but I could not find a good stream that doesn't have interruptions since, from time to time, it will be stopped, and I have to find a new one. So far, Ancajas is looking good, although they are still observing each other as they are not too aggressive, but maybe after 3 rounds, we will see a real fight.

Good luck, Jerwin Ancajas!

Ancajas doesn't have good timing, and he looks tired now. Inoue is very disciplined to still keep his game plan at work; the counter-punching is working well for him, and the fight has just ended. What happened was the most unexpected, and that is Inoue won via KO, that body shot though. I think Ancajas is done here; he is not the same anymore, even a boxer that doesn't have a high KO rate has knocked him out.

Fans were disappointed with his movement in the fight; he seemed too slow for a bantamweight fighter. He could have been knocked out earlier if Takuma was a KO artist because his defense wasn't there, and he just continued to attack but doesn't have the power to hurt the champion. This should be a big win for Takuma as he doesn't win via KO in most of his fights; in his title defense, he was able to do that. I can see that he has good training as we can see on his body that they really worked for it. He wasn't gassed and was able to maintain the quickness in the fight.

Sorry for the lost bets, guys. That's gambling; at least the fight wasn't boring because Ancajas was really attacking and would always want to go for a kill, but his timing is off, and he doesn't have the power to KO the champion.

That's normal, but there's still one championship fight for our Filipino boxer, and that is Gaballo. Hopefully, he'll win so he could unify with Takuma.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 24, 2024, 12:04:32 PM
I'm seeing news articles today saying the DeMarcus Cousins has officially retired from the NBA.  There was talk that he had been trying out with the Golden State Warriors to be a backup center, but it seems those talks have died out.  I would've liked to have seen Cousins have more success in his career.  He was an absolute beast in his time with the Sacramento Kings and I think him and Anthony Davis would have surprised people with their postseason success had DeMarcus not gone down with an injury that then plagued him the rest of his career.  In his prime, he was a truly special player.

Maybe they already lost an interest to sign him out since maybe they are worried if they can use him for long time knowing him his injury prone and might they will just waste some money also roster slot for getting him in their team. I guess much better for them if they look for another center that would surely last long on their team since that might be more better for them. But its undeniable that Cousins is really great knowing him how big the numbers he can contribute on that team but unfortunately injury caught the man and that end up his career in NBA. If he didn't suffer those injuries maybe we can see him dominating in paint just like what Davis doing.

And we all know that Cousins is hot tempered as well, so this might contribute for some teams not to sign him because they don't want to carry a player that will get a lot of technical fouls that could disrupt certain games and it could spell a win or a lose for them.

So it's most likely not the injuries as he completely healed already, but the attitude as well. He was given a chance if a chance by Denver if I'm not mistaken, but he was let go as well. He did play good with the Warriors though, and I think that was the time that he could have resurrect his career. But after that he got injured again.

That cannot be denied; he really has some attitude problems that could give a team trouble. Although he still has the skills, his attitude is too hard to handle. We've seen him play in the past, and sometimes he has a hard time controlling his emotions. So, he could be a target for their opponents to get a technical foul from him and disrupt his game. The last time I saw him was with the Nuggets' uniform; he was a good backup for Jokic but would only play a limited time. He's done with the NBA but not with his passion for basketball, as, just like Howard, he can still play in other leagues like in China.
364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advised for being a trader? on: February 23, 2024, 09:51:12 PM
Becoming someone who really understands trading and how to do analysis is very difficult, it's easy to do it in just a short time. It takes a lot of theoretical learning, direct trials and seeing market patterns. Those who claim to be traders even though they have only traded a few times, they are only traders who understand selling and buying but not specifically how prices can go up and down. So it is not easy to become a trader who is truly a trader. Technical analysis, fundamentals, risk management, psychological management and many others must be studied and understood.
Trading requires long term planning and preparation before someone should take the risk in trading. It’s actually hard for starters but if you push yourself to trade more consistently despite of some affordable losses, that will make you become more experienced trader which I think could be a lot helpful to manage your trades in the next days. However, experience and knowledge are not enough. One should develop more skills and strategies to win a trade, thus learning the basics through technical, fundamental and sentiment analysis are very vital. If you can have that along with patience, most likely you will end up a successful trader.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: February 23, 2024, 06:37:53 PM
Lomachenko will have his redemption in this fight. I voted for Loma by unanimous decision. Loma still got those very quick hands. At 36, he still got his incredible foot work. And knowing that Kambosos doesn't fight in a distance, I think Loma can easily outscore him. Not expecting a knockout, though.

I agree, this is a big fight for him, after that controversial lost against Haney, he will have to find a way to bounce back and this is another great opportunity for him. I think he can still pull that trigger and he will show that in this fight.
At least he tried all the best options to get back to the top. Though this one is really tough for him, and it's very evident here that people don't trust him to win. But at this point in his career, he needs to take risks as he has nothing to lose anymore.

I checked the odds. They're quite lop-sided but probably fair. Loma is the huge favorite at 1.18. Kambosos, on the other hand, is the underdog at 4.4. DraftKings even has Loma at 1.13 and Kambosos at 5.75.

Yes, Kambosos is a huge underdog, I think it's fair to see him in that position. His style is suited for Loma, there might not be a knockout or a knockdown, but we might see Loma dominating Kambosos in his country.

Loma cannot be too complacent about not getting a knockout win in Kambosos' country. Just to ensure a victory, he needs to KO him; otherwise, he might be surprised that he is very confident in the ring, thinking he'll win comfortably, but the judges saw it differently. Grin

367  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance being banned in the Philippines in a few days on: February 23, 2024, 05:07:26 PM
Lipat muna sa coins.ph or other exchange sa bansa natin. Basta keep safe lang din always, parang to see is to believe nalang mangyayari pero sabi nga keep safe kaya lipat na talaga.

368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 23, 2024, 01:44:06 PM
How about the games between the Warriors and the Lakers, Curry point in a show with he wax hot in the 1st quarter and that no look pass for Wiggins for a dunk. No Lebron though, as he was rested. And obviously, the Warriors is being led by AD. But the Warriors had a lot of weapons here, Kuminga and Wiggins and Draymond anchoring their defense. All the Warriors that was fielded in this game score, with Trayce Jackson-Davis 17 points. The only downside in this game is that Klay Thompson continue to struggle with his shooting, just scoring 3 points in 28 minutes.

No Lebron James, so it's a easy win for the Warriors, and even if Klay struggled, they played on their homecourt and so the second stringers are very comfortable like Jackson-Davis and Moses Moody.

And again, if Curry is shooting that hot in the first half, it's very hard to defeat the Warriors except for their early games wherein they choke after leading a comfortable lead. But not in this games as the Lakers starting unit has also struggled. So it's a good win for them. They are 2 games above .500 but still in the 10th place in the West behind the Lakers.

Warriors are very unstoppable now. Again, the Lakers struggle with their 3-point shooting, unable to match the Warriors' shooting. Without LeBron, that's a huge loss for the team since the Lakers are just like missing Curry on their team as their leader. It's safe to say that the Warriors had figured out how to stay consistent in winning. Even when Thompson struggles, Curry remains with his hot shooting, and the coaching staff makes the right adjustments to use more talent and limit Thompson's minutes. I bet, in the next game, Thompson will be GOATing as that has been the trend so far for him.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 23, 2024, 01:03:34 PM
Fight fans, here are the official weigh-in video for this fight,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAWSjmCFqSY

Although it seems that Ancajas has a problem making weight as he needs to strip naked.

I don't know what to take though base on their body language, Inoue looks weight drain by sharp but Ancajas has still some body fats but still make the weight.

When I first saw the video I was a little concerned about Ancajas he is quite drained but he looks ok even smiling at the crowd now he needs to rehydrate I hope he has the right method for rehydrating himself this is a hard fight for Ancajas his last win although a TKO is against an unknown and not to his level fighter I hope he can shrug off the memory of his two losses against Fernando Daniel Martinez that two losses are ugly and a reference for all his opponents.
I'm sure Inoue's camp will use the Fernando Daniel Martinez strategy to beat Ancajas.
I hope Jerwin will capture another title we need more Filipino champions, the Japanese are taking over the supremacy in boxing in the Asian region.

Yes, we need more champions now; it seems like Filipino champions are losing their titles slowly, but this time there's another opportunity for Ancajas to go back to being a champion. Looking at Inoue in the video shared, he looked very ready for the fight, but there's still one day for Ancajas to recover whatever he does to his body just to pass the requirements in the weigh-in. Still, my decision hasn't changed yet; I'm rooting for Ancajas to win, and I'm expecting a more impressive win, which is a KO.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 22, 2024, 08:06:18 PM

I hope they split the money in the end, it doesn't matter who bought the ticket and who originally have the money, if relationships are meant to be broken the moment we net high amount of money, then most hope won't be together today, money hungry people shouldn't be confused as a soul mate or life partner, be careful when choosing who to date or marry.

We cannot make our judgment here since it was a personal relationship, and they are the only ones who know what's happening within the relationship and whatever problem they are dealing with causing the split-up. The money won was really huge. If we look at the legal parlance, it was the woman who owns the ticket since she was the one who bought it, so legally she isn't required to split the winnings. But the man is claiming they should split since they were in a relationship; that could happen but with the approval of the woman. Without such approval, he can't force claiming he has the right.

In cases like this, we can only give comments based on the law of the land, and that's my stance regarding the issue.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 22, 2024, 07:35:38 PM

By the way, this Sunday we have another game and it will be held in the Philippines.

Yes, this will be this coming Sunday at the Philsports Arena. I'm sure the fans will come and support the new Gilas. After their dominating win versus Hong Kong, they are now oozing with confidence, and I have no doubt that they can beat Chinese Taipei, but not sure if it's still a blowout win for Gilas. At this current lineup, my confidence is very high because I saw how they move the ball to find an open shooter, but against a tougher opponent, we will see if their chemistry will still work out.

Trivia, this Philsports Arena has a maximum capacity of 10,000 according to wiki... Can the fans fill this arena?
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 22, 2024, 05:45:21 PM
We have a lot of exciting games to watch later.

I'm listing the games that I'm interested in betting and my possible picks which are bolded.

Clippers +2 vs OKC
Lakers +4.5 vs Warriors
Suns +3 vs Dallas

These three games look like playoff matchups; this should end up as close games, and I love the underdog here taking a few points that could lead to a win if indeed it's going to be close. Also, just for fun, I'm taking a parlay on all moneyline of my bets.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 22, 2024, 05:22:42 PM
^^ If Joel stays healthy this season for sure he can win back-to-back MVP awards like Joker did. But since he's injured and missing so many games, he's not totally eligible to win the MVP award this year. Injury also is the reason why Joel Embiid didn't won his rookie year rookie of the year award. But even with his injuries Joel Embiid can still carry his team when he comes back this season. And surely they will make playoffs thid year. But maybe in the 5th to 8th seed. Sixer struggled without Joel Embiid.

His return is still uncertain as to when, and since he has been out for a while now, he'll not anymore qualify for the MVP competition. I think the top 3 for me are SGA, Jokic, and Luka. These three are very consistent, but the one that really has a huge impact this season is SGA. Not because of his statistics alone but with how he turned his team to become the number 1 team.

376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 21, 2024, 02:54:01 PM
Two more days until the return of NBA basketball. I think I’m going through withdrawals. There haven’t been many moves as far as signing players either. Hopefully the players return refreshed and healthy to make a run into the postseason. I expected the Warriors to make some signings or something. Weird there aren’t more free agents finding homes.

Looks like most of the teams in the NBA don't need any additions to their rosters and they just gonna fix their rotations instead of adding more players to disrupt their chemistry, especially those star players. So far, the teams that we expect to reach the playoff tree are doing good and they also dominate the league this season like the Boston Celtics, I wonder if they could keep that up and make some more wins until the end of the season games. Also, they are expected to reach the NBA finals this year since the Bucks are likely to be choked because they chose an incompetent coach instead of adding more role players to help them win more games.

That's likely because the Bucks are struggling now, while the Sixers don't have Embiid anymore and might likely miss the remainder of the season. Their biggest rival now is the Miami Heat as they still can't figure out how to defeat this team. The last time they met, they were dominated and lost big time on their home court, and that's considering Jimmy Butler was out. You can't question Boston in the regular season since they are clearly dominating, but every team has its kryptonite, and it seems like the Heat were theirs.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 21, 2024, 02:20:33 PM
So this fight is happening this weekend. Hopefully, Jerwin can pull an upset in Japan and bring home the title. He is an underdog, but I am giving him a better chance of becoming the first champion than Raymart Gaballo, who has less experience in the quality of opponents and world title fight experience.

Jerwin already knows that Takuma has the skills but with a very low KO ratio. Jerwin has to let his hands go and take the risk so he can his big shots. Takuma meanwhile will probably try to bring the fight to the middle of the ring and we will see if Jerwin cannot force him into retreat.

He got this fight because he had more experience compared to Takuma and also he already fought some knockout artist boxers and was able to survive against them. The only thing he needs to be aware of is when he lets the judges decide the winner because that's when he will not gonna like their decision because his opponent is consistent in throwing jabs that could outscore him throughout the rounds. All he needs to do is put pressure on his opponent because it won't be long until he gonna fall against his punches. After all, this one does not have enough speed to dodge those shots.

As far as experience, I do agree that Jerwin Ancajas has the experience, he even had the belt before and defended it for many years before he outgrown that division. And so it will carry on and according to him, he is used in fighting overseas, so he don't see fighting in Japan as a big problem. And bantamweight could be a good division for him, as his body will no longer be drain at jr bantamweight and so making weight is very issue for him here. As for the strategy, they are looking for a knockout victory here. No less than Ancajas putting pressure and then knocking out the champion in his hometown. This will be their ultimate goal and we do hope that our kababayan will win here and bring it back to the country, very proud.

Clearly, the challenger here has the better experience. Per record, Takuma has only 18 fights while Jerwin has 34 fights; you can see the big disparity. Maybe aside from being the champion, Takuma is also hyped since he is the brother of Naoya, and people will be supporting him in this fight. However, I see it differently as I'm more focused on their capabilities, judging by the fighters they faced in the past, and I see Jerwin having a rough journey, so he should win this fight.
378  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 21, 2024, 11:49:59 AM
+2.5 sa point spread, malaki sa moneyline for kung meron pa yung parang special bet like East all star to win by 11+, siguro nasa x4 or x5 ang odds non.

So far di pa ako nagstart mag analyze kanino pumusta.

But probably the biggest attraction is going to be the Lakers versus Warriors game on the 23rd February. I don't think anyone is going to miss that game.

By the way, I find it a little interesting that in the last match, the Warriors were able to win even though Stephen Curry did not score a lot of points but the match before that I think he got 40+ but they still ended up losing that game.

Curry doesn't need to score that high when his teammates are stepping up. If I recall correctly, that was a back-to-back game for them, so he might be a little tired after playing so hard in the game against the Clippers. Unfortunately, they melted down in the 4th quarter and lost to the Leonard-less Clippers.

The last time they played the Lakers, the game went to OT, and they lost by only 1 point. The line was -1.5 for the Warriors at that time; this time, it's -4.5. Obviously, bookies see their significant improvement, making them a high favorite. However, the Lakers have improved since signing Dinwiddie, so maybe it will be a close game again. I'm hoping the Warriors will avenge their previous loss though.
