361  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-23]E-Commerce Giant Alibaba to Integrate Blockchain Into Intellectual P on: May 25, 2019, 09:33:54 PM

Intellectual property protection is one big area that the blockchain technology can be utilized and I am sure many organizations will be using this  in the coming years. In the age where fakes can be so common and is getting harder to track genuine brands, the blockchain technology can be offering some hope in the fight against forgery and plagiarism. As I understand, Jack Ma is a believer in the blockchain technology but of course we are wishing that he can also explore the integration of cryptocurrency into his empire.
You got it. Specially from brands that are being manufactured in China. With blockchain technology Alibaba just did the right and needed thing since china made fake branded products are everywhere and even consumers find it difficult to identify between fake and genuine in branded products. It is unfair for popular brands and this issue must be found solutions to.
362  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: easy bite for scammers on: May 25, 2019, 09:09:43 PM
Scammers can't bea easily nabbed because most of them use fake identification even though they are appearing on most of the ads they placed. If they are the real guys behind such services, they'd be easily arrested if a case was filed against them, but most of them are still freely roaming around and just waiting for the next opportunity to introduce yet another service and scam people. Regulations and laws are already becoming stricter, but without a governing body scrutinizing such services up to its core, I don't think scammers using these avenues would thin out.
Exactly. And aside from having untraceable identities, victims may learn lesson from they way they were scammed but then as these scammers succeed in fooling people they will be using another way or trick to get people’s trust again by offering another kind of services. I don’t think there could be better way to avoid being  victims than making a personal, deep and thorough research about the whole thing they are offering before putting our hard-earned money into risk again.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HOW I BECAME A GAMBLER on: May 24, 2019, 08:55:03 PM
2017 was a very tough year for me. All efforts that i ever made to make money proofed abortive, then my friend told me about gambling and how he has been making money from it. I didn't buy into this idea because i have had a very bad impression about this game even though i never tried. Am sure you all know that gambling has a bad reputation lol Grin Grin. At a point i had no  other choice than to give it a trial on a sport betting site. That day i made double of my money and i promised myself never to stop gambling Grin That was how my journey on gambling started. Can you share your story briefly and clearly  Roll Eyes LETS GO GUYS
And what now? did you continue on getting your money double or tripe? It is just a taste of it to change your mind totally from being negative in gambling but the moment you lose consecutively I don't know if you will still continue but a lot do to the point of zero balance and even negative. I don't take gambling seriously, I do as a time pass and entertainment but not for profit.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CORRECT ME ON THIS PLEASE. on: May 24, 2019, 04:13:27 PM
Many times i have seen people use HOLDLER for people who are keeping their coin for future while some use the term HOLDER. please which of the 2 is the right term used in cryptocurrency slang.
Lol! They are the same dude. The original and formal word is ‘hold’ or which means you keep it by not spending or selling but at some point the word “hodling or hodl” are being use by majority. I don’t exactly know how it started but its just the same meaning. Don’t be confused between the two when you see both of them.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: May 24, 2019, 04:06:11 PM
Nevertheless, you’ve learned. We all come to the point of disappointments before learning, I think it goes like that always, without failure we will never know what success is. So you mean you got your money from bounties? A lot here do the same but are being paid in bitcoin or altcoin which later they convert to fiat or exchange for their cryptocurrency of choice. Part of mine come from bounty campaigns too, sometimes if I see a big potential in a certain coin I buy and hold.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone here long enough? on: May 24, 2019, 03:57:48 PM
Hi there
I would like to get tips from people that are in the crypto world for a while and saw a few bear markets already.
There is so much speculation right now and It makes me be uncertain about my moves (buying and selling)

Do you just always HODL? when do you know where to sell?
When do you think the market is about to go down you sell and then getting back when you think it's recovering?
Speculations are just speculations, they can happen and and they can’t too. As you watch how the market moves you know if you are going to profit if you sell it now or later depending on the money you took out for your holdings. For those who bought theirs above $10k they know it is not wise for them to sell them right now. Depending on your need too, if you don’t it too bad right now, let it sleep in your wallet and wait.
367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you disagree?? on: May 24, 2019, 01:42:37 PM

I see bitcoin stable at 15000usd before the year runs out   Grin

We are definitely in the bull run but I don't think Bitcoin is gonna hit $15k before 2019 ends.
The possible market value I see Bitcoin hitting would be between $9k and $10k.  Investors need to take advantage of the current raise in the market value of most altcoins like BAT and ethereum by investing massively in altcoins to make good amount of profits.
If we look at how it hit less than half of its price right now earlier this year and last year it is easy to say nay but then it is still a long way before 2019 ends and right now we already saw it reached $8000+ so its just a little more push to $15,000. We are on the way there already.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking profits but don't be afraid! on: May 23, 2019, 07:01:57 PM
I also think who want to take a profit can take now, but i think the gainers will be the long holders because bitcoin should value way more and if will hit a new ATH then a good profit can be made.
Its always been said that those who hurry often lose. There's not much to profit from the price difference bitcoin made lately. If holders are not in a hurry and don't need money that much, better leave their bitcoin secure for now in their wallet and wait patiently for a real bull run in the market. The problem others experience sometimes is they need the money and they can't that long any more but if they've regarded their holdings as real investment they will not touch it until maturity time comes.
369  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is it effective to advertise crypto projects via bloggers? on: May 23, 2019, 06:48:15 PM
Instead of advertising , finding bloggers, I will advise you to find reputable developers and create the project with them. A good project automatically get publicity for free.
This idea is good. Also if the developer they are working with have former successful projects and been known by people/investors,they will also be winning the supporters of these developers. It will be like hitting 2 birds with one stone. It will be the credibility of these developers that will count here.
370  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What Would Your Expectations From The Cryptocurrency Content Platforms on: May 23, 2019, 06:43:02 PM
A lot of cryptocurrency platforms are coming out right now but then very few of them are successful so I think you should base your platform on your observations. What feature this unsuccessful platform didn't have that should be there and what do they have that are not needed and also observe those that are successful already but try not to copy everything they have. Your platform must have something profitable to offer to the users, easy and understandable and friendly. If they get something from your platform that they don't usually get from other platform related to yours they will stay in there and will introduce you to others.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright recognised by US Govt as Satoshi, author of white paper on: May 23, 2019, 06:30:41 PM
Who knows if the claim of Craig Wright to be the author of bitcoin whitepaper and inventor will instead cause the real Satoshi Nakamoto to come out and reveal his true identity. That would be a big shame for Wright for this claim. Nice attempt but just like others whom they pointed to be Satoshi Nakamoto were fake, then the truth with Wright will also come out.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Gold? on: May 23, 2019, 06:01:53 PM
Both are valuable but when we look at the characteristics of both they are different from each other, the only similarities are just that they are both store of value but in feature and uses they are different. With bitcoin it has the possibility of obtaining value far more than gold but it also has the possibility of declining more than expected. So to say very unpredictable but gold value is not as volatile as bitcoin though from time to time it changes depending on the value of fiat. Though gold is more stable, if I am to invest my money in gold after how many years there will not be that much difference in value so it will not give me much profit after waiting but if I invest in bitcoin, after 1-2 years of holding when bull market comes I could profit 2x to 10x from my money.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to cash out perhaps ? on: May 18, 2019, 06:10:31 PM
I think that’s greed setting in

I believe this is the time to cash out if you are in profit already
How can you say it is time to cash out if you believe it is just greed setting in? No, we are not yet in the bull market stage but maybe we already are on the way there. There’s still a lot that can happen but good thing is we are already seeing upward movement in the market graphs.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Emotions: Highs and Lows of the Bull Runs on: May 18, 2019, 06:04:58 PM
How do you feel during a bull run when you see the crypto you hold going up in price?

How do you feel post bull run when the price goes down?

What sort of emotions do you feel when hoping the crypto you hold keeps climbing and do you imagine driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini?

Maybe you start thinking of when to sell and maybe if it would give enough money to help you leave your job and start a business or travel the world?

 Grin
Question number one, I feel excited, undecided, I feel I want to sell and sometimes I feel I want to wait more. Second question, it s always a mixed kind of emotions. If it I sold during high price, I am thankful I sold it before the price went down if not, I feel bad and I blame myself for not selling earlier. I am regretful.

Yea I always dream of having enough from crypto so I can start a new business and leave my job forever.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoin brought your biggest profit? on: May 18, 2019, 05:57:11 PM
+19k on ETH (in June)
That's sweet.

I hold some ETH but unfortunately it seems that its not the time for me to gain some profits with the best altcoin. I don't have any gains with altcoins.

When I trade I usually sell through bitcoin and profits that I've made was through it so I can say that the biggest profit that I've made wasn't from altcoin but from bitcoin when it was on the peak.
But it usually goes like that. Mostly profit from their alts through bitcoin. They sell their alts and convert them to bitcoin. Your hope is not void if it goes like that because everyone is hoping for bitcoin price to kick once again.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exit Scam on: May 18, 2019, 05:51:31 PM
Be careful with ICOs, we were all warned about many of their shady projects.

And as long as there are investors that are too gullible with such projects, they will continue to reproduce. It's hard to accept for them that the best days of ICOs are now gone.
The problem here is they appear to be too realistic and sincere by giving realistic updates all the time about the developments of their projects, posting well-known personalities to be part of them or the team, giving updates of what they are doing every time for the development of the project, partnering with known companies and so on and so forth. Seemed legit with all the efforts they show in promotions and the active participations of the team of developers themselves which investors believed to be genuine.  It is very confusing, sometimes we don’t already know which one is real and sincere and which one is just making good notions. Though there are projects that do not make big boasts but are real and successful.
377  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: How would you approach artistically to bitcoin? on: May 17, 2019, 08:35:59 PM
It sounds creepy no  Grin Cheesy? Just kidding. It may just be because I don’t have any idea about sounds and music but if I were to do something artistic about bitcoin it could be rhyming lines or maybe compose rap lyrics about it. But its nice of you to be too artistic.  Smiley
378  Other / Archival / Re: The Torah Bar : the rule book of the jew compatibility w/ USC&BoR on: May 17, 2019, 08:26:20 PM
Hi, thanks for passing by, interested? please feel free to express yourself as much as the moderation will allow. And don't forget there are no rights or wrongs, just pixels on a screen Wink.

------------------------------------------------------------

today we are gonna ask about Leviticus : specially LEVITICUS 25:44-46
Quote

44 Your male and female slaves shall come from the nations around you; from them you may purchase slaves.
45 You may also purchase them from the foreigners residing among you or their clans living among you who are born in your land. These may become your property.
46 ye, shall take them (the slaves) as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them (the slaves) for a possession, they shall be, your BONDMEN (slaves) for ever . . .

how do you understand this extract? Using a textual reading interpretation, I understand way more events of today's world. And I guess they believe having slave is great, and totally legal for them. Do you agree to be a slave "for ever"?

it's gonna be a fun discussion Smiley. I think this extract will take us a lot of time to understand, and specially to analyse it's actual application in the usa.

In short the goyim is a slave too... okay.

please refute  Cool
Based on my understanding, if you continue reading verse 46, it says that they are forbidden to rule over their fellow Israelites ruthlessly. These slaves that they are allowed to buy and take are not from the people of their own, they are from other clans. To understand these passage of scriptures in the old Testament of the Bible you must understand the whole story of the Israelites from the beginning. They also have this what they call year of jubilee when slaves after serving for 7 years shall be free from being slaves and go back to his own country but then they are given the choice if they want to remain with their master then the master must take them back as slaves again. If they don’t have home or no family to live with they choose to remain. They are being bought as slaves with their consent because being slave is better for them, they are fed, sheltered and protected.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: May 17, 2019, 08:02:21 PM
yes gambling is entertainment, people gamble because its fun and it "entertains" them...
Not all have this kind of notion on gambling. Yes in the beginning it entertains the player specially when they wins but it becomes annoying when you have series of loses and besides, some come to gamble with the intention of doubling or tripling their money but it does not always come out as they planned.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble or think it's a waste of money and time? on: May 17, 2019, 07:58:37 PM
Every people have their own hobby to spend money.

Let's take the example :
Why people spend money on prostitute while they have chance to get AIDS disease ?
Why people spend money on drug although they will got addicted ?

It's because their hobby or their pleasure although they know the risk.

So gambling waste my time and my money ?
Yes, but it's fun to do it !
True indeed. It’s not just gambling that we spend our money with that bring negative effect. Like men spending money in alcohol too, though they get drunk, headache and vomiting (not all), they still do. I think what is important here is we enjoy every moment with what we are doing. People say that life is short so go for anything that would make us happy.
