3741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Bitcoin's Increasing Market Dominance on: September 08, 2019, 03:19:18 PM
It just means that people are getting smarter to invest in Bitcoin rather than spend their money in other useless project. If it were to continue, we might see some increase in BTC price in the next months. The only one I deem worthy is ETH and Monero as an alternative to Bitcoin.

If Bitcoin where to increase more in Volume, more and more altcoins gets shut down.
Most altcoins does deeper because they are meant to be independent and since they are not active enough to convince investor to put money into their own market, investors will continue to follow the hype and usefulness of bitcoin, and that is why you will see that bitcoin is increasing more in dominance than other altcoins.

I know that altcoins seasons too will surely come, but the majority of the altcoins if care is not taken would have already lost all their pride and lost all their customer to bitcoin, if they are not even lost finally themselves, but i trust more in those coins that are at the top market in either exchanges or the top in the most popular ranking site of coinmarketcap, then bitcoin dominance would have reduced a little bit or remain constant for a while.
3742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: project products cannot function properly! on: September 07, 2019, 07:13:29 PM
as we know if a project does not have a product of course investors will hesitate to invest there and vice versa if the developer cannot develop the product properly investors will switch to invest with others. Quality products will provide a great opportunity for project success.
There are two major things that are very important in the life of a project and for a project to be fully successful, we must talk of project developer, team and the product itself, it is necessary for these that I mentioned to be up to standard and if any investor can be able to find this out of any project, then they will be rest assured that their investment is fully secured and they can expect to have a very high yield profit from it.

I just don't know why most of the developers that we have now are not helping matter and they are trying to kill the ICO industry by coming up with quack projects that are not attractive and are not quality enough to really create any meaningful impact to the world, we need projects that will shake the world like health sectors, and I know that government would be more interested in that.
3743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again on: September 07, 2019, 06:40:01 PM
we don't know what will happen in the future, now bitcoin is more dominating but it is still possible for altcoin to be able to regain its position in the market, in my opinion altcoin is not in a dead end and still has the possibility of a rise, the fluctuations in the market make we are difficult to predict market conditions, for now it is better to divide 70% investment in bitcoin and 30% in altcoin
I have this strong conviction that altcoins would surely dominate one of these days, I think it would be very soon the way bitcoin has been trying to consolidate for a long time now and all it takes its bitcoin consolidation for them to start increasing to the level we want the altcoins to get to, but we have to be mindful of the kind of altcoin that we hope for or hold on to, there are some altcoins that we should never wait for it to increase because they will never increase.

Their developers are not active and I think they have even left the project, and if we try to accumulate those type of altcoins with the hope of getting anything out of it, we are only joking, so we should never expect anything tangible, but for those coins that are like 50 tops, I think they will still make a great investment.
3744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 07, 2019, 05:59:59 PM
So from what I understand in that group, Brazil losing means they have the same amount of wins and losses with Greece and Czechia however they have less difference between point scored and points conceded and they will lose another game to USA which means they will for surely get eliminated. Then Czechia will lose to Greece (at least that is what the consensus is) and Greece will have same amount of points with them, so USA will go to next stage and the one that has more point difference between Czechia and Greece will go to next stage with USA. Is that correct?

The teams that got eliminated are having their games at the same time as well, I don't know what will happen in the end and who will go to Olympics but its going around like a whole different side tourney at the same time.
3745  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: September 07, 2019, 05:23:57 PM
Saying freebitcoin is not a gambling website is gullible.

It is definitely a gambling website, they have hi/lo which is basically a dice site, they have lotterly, they have betting and now they have lambo giveaway as well. These are all stuff you can buy tickets, gamble or basically just bet on. They only have one faucet whereas they have 3-4 different gambling options on top of that, yes of course they are known for their free faucet and yes they are giving away a lot of stuff on top of that with free rewards points, free tickets and many others but saying that freebitcoin is just a faucet website with gambling option is basically wrong, it is a casino with a faucet more than a faucet with gambling. It used to be like that but now they added lambo and betting which made it full on casino for many people.
3746  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Provably fair dice game 🎲 $1,000 Daily Race💰7-day streak bonus🔥 on: September 07, 2019, 02:51:21 PM

We are happy to announce that our Affiliate program is already live! If any of the Bitcointalk members are willing to promote us we are very grateful about that and are ready to help you with whatever you need help with!

I believe this is more of a self paid promotion anyway, you are getting customers and you are not paying a single thing for it upfront. Affiliate is far better than signature if you are looking for just efficient and optimized profitability. What casinos do when they get a signature campaign is actually just getting their name out there, its not about getting new customers only, of course that is a big part of it but they want to be known and get a community behind their casino.

However, wolf.bet is already known and liked by many people and even the people who do not play here knows about here. So now that the name is out there, the best case would be affiliate, that way people could invite others and casino can have more gamblers and they would only share a part of their profit instead of paying money without expecting anything.
3747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Martingale strategy increase your chance of winning? on: September 07, 2019, 06:11:04 AM
For those who does not experience using this method, they might think that it will improve their chance of winning because they might think losing x10 in a row is impossible. But, for people like me, I would say it's not a working method, hence it will never increase the chance of winning in dice game, in fact, I would call this a recipe for disaster as it's like chasing your loses until you got rekt.
In as much as I don’t really get the calculation accurately right, I am still of the opinion that this martingale strategy   is not as bad as it is been portrayed because I have seen a lot of gamblers that have been successful using this same strategy although I really do not understand how they go about it.

There should be a definitive approach to every decision on how to use a strategy and it is not the strategy itself that does the magic, the chance of either winning or losing 10x in a row is dependent on the player, like I said earlier I have little knowledge about this strategy and I am definitely not in the position to talk about it, I don’t use strategies and I prefer to have my game played not minding if I make loses or win.
3748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We love you Bitcoin" - Jack Dorsey ( Twitter Founder) on: September 06, 2019, 05:39:09 PM
Last year we expect Twitter and Facebook will ban the Crypto currency for the reason that it has full of scam projects but until now the banning did not happen and just read about Jack is now supporting the Bitcoin like JP Morgan is a critics before but now he is supporting it and Facebook has now Libra coin. Hopefully, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet will change their mind too.
It depend on their level of pride, the difference between gates/buffet and Facebook is that we only heard of their opposition to crypto through the ban of promotion, so their action was what spoke the word to us which they can easily change, but for gates and buffet, those one openly castigated cryptocurrency and they said so many bad things about it in the public.

It might be a little bit difficult for them to change their mind about bitcoin, but do we really need them, everything they have said about crypto has not really changed anything and it has not made people who believed in bitcoin to stop believing in it. We have other very big supporters of bitcoin and I think that is what is most important, there is going to be a balance between both supporters and those who doesn’t.
3749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: i have to pay 100 euro extra to blockchain to get my transaction unstock?!?!?! on: September 06, 2019, 04:03:45 PM
Please kindly confirm the address you make this transaction on please by pasting it here, so that we can be sure you have not gone to make transaction on a wrong site because this is very strange to me as regard blockchain, it is not uncommon that transactions do get delayed, sometime it could even take more than that 12 hrs, and since you have done the right thing, your transaction should never exceed 24 hrs.latest.

Blockchain would never ask you for such amount of money and if you had not have enough balance for your transaction, you would not have even been able to proceeded, so it is not a matter of not having enough balance to carry on your operation, before I conclude that you have been scammed b a different site entirely, I would like you to post the url here.
3750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Satoshi, From Which National Money Are More Valuable? on: September 06, 2019, 03:18:58 PM
I don't know what the government are still waiting for the make their money valuable, it has been years that these listed money has been like this and I think rather than even getting better, they are getting worst, that is why their country is not a tourist center because someone who is used to carrying little money will be scared of going there to change their money to such huge amount of money.

Countries where if you have to pay for ordinary tea, they are talking thousands and millions, I am not even sure these people have ever mentioned the word hundreds in their lifetime as regards their money. Maybe things will turn around if they can rely on bitcoin as digital currency, I am sure with satoshi, there is a way that they can try to balance the equation.
3751  Economy / Economics / Re: Jobs Created by the Blockchain & Bitcoin on: September 06, 2019, 01:11:35 PM
Here are some of the jobs looking shouting out for qualified people to seriously take into: Entry level and internship positions, Blockchain project managers, Blockchain developers, Blockchain quality engineers, Blockchain legal consultants or attorneys, Blockchain web designers, Blockchain engineers.
Bitcoin has been helpful so much and it's really good. Bitcoin has helped a lot of people even companies to be able to work remotely. Just like the company that I work with, we work remotely , have staff in so many countries and we are able to send them payments with bitcoin (there are also some that prefer PayPal).

Bitcoin has been helpful for those that live in countries where PayPal is not available , they are able to receive payments through Bitcoin and it's fast and easy to use. And there are cryptocurrency  wallets that allows users to be able to withdraw their money to their bank accounts and that's really cool. I have seen a few wallets like that and I even make use of one them. Bitcoin did create some jobs but the only one I think that makes sense is signature campaign, because faucets are useless and wouldn't help the users to earn anything ,so it's a complete waste of time.

It is good that new professions have appeared. People who learn first will benefit greatly. Because the technology is developing very quickly and there are not enough specialists.
Yes you're right , we need lots of jobs to be able to stop or reduce unemployment. Though the problem  is that sometimes people don't really have the skills that are required for those jobs and that means that they still won't get that job. Some positions are really hard to fill to be sincere.
3752  Economy / Economics / Re: thoughts on companies becoming too powerful? on: September 06, 2019, 11:53:15 AM
Disney has become the media giant and has been on a spending spree for the last decade buying up different ips.

Facebook has been buying up all their competition and is the dominant social media company and nothing else can compete with it.

Companies become so big and they have enormous power over us, do you think companies like this should be broken up by the government or be allowed to reign supreme?
The actual problem is that we the people are the ones that are allowing them to make use of us. Some people can't even make their own decisions and always waiting for someone to make the decision for them.

Yes, these companies are trying to take advantage of us, then why don't you stop making use of products that are released by these companies and make use of a competitor. If you continue to be making use of such products then you continue to give them control over and nothing else. They are all making use of their platform users as a means for making money.

I make use of such platforms like Facebook, but I don't really give real information about myself to Facebook, like giving my full name and I don't really give it full access on my device just like having access to my location and all that. And as for my device, I always switch off the GPS because I don't want bullshit like that.

Even Google is fond of all these trying to know what users are up to and all that. There are other competitors that are good, though one problem with some of their competitors is that they are not so good in offering some features that these companies are offering that's why people prefer to make use of these companies that are messing with their privacy.
3753  Economy / Economics / Re: Indian Economy rising at slowest pace - Should they consider Crypto-currency? on: September 06, 2019, 08:22:45 AM
If the government really concern with their people, they can accept cryptocurrency and allow them to search for a new source income. I am sure that people in India will thank you to the government because they can try to get the money from the new source and the best is they can get a better life with that money. If people can get a better life, that will reduce poverty in that country, and the economy in that country will be growth.
I don't really see how that is going to help or destroy them though, if it's only going to serve as a means of making payments. There is PayPal there already and it is serving for the same purpose there and if they should get a job online they can be accepting payments through PayPal. The only thing I suggest they do with cryptocurrency is just to invest and trade and that's it. Apart from that I don't really see any other thing. I mainly blame the government when a country is bad on crypto regulations.

I have seen a few people in this forum come up with points like these about countries that are economically poor using crypto to grow their level. I have seen Venezuela mentioned a lot of times and people saying they should resort to making use of cryptocurrency to get better.
3754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: September 06, 2019, 04:34:31 AM
GlobalCoin is coming. What are your thoughts on this new Facebook-made altcoin? What have you heard about it?

Share your first impression!

with facebook coin disbursement, it will have a positive impact on cryptocurency ... facebook is a trusted social media that has a big influence on cryptocurency ... but if anyone thinks that facebook coin will defeat bitcoin then I will answer that it will never happen and facebook coin will not be able to be done .
Facebook's intention too was never to defeat bitcoin, they are just there to also join in the blockchain industry, every company has the right to shift their base to blockchain if they feel it will make their company better and I think that Facebook has found out that the application of blockchain will make their platform better and continue to make them have an edge over other platform.

I know their cryptocurrency is also going to serve as payment,  but I really doubt if their main goal is to make it a global currency, I am suspecting that they only created that coin to be used within their community and government must have felt threatened because they have a very large community base, which may make the coin eventually become like a currency among themselves.
3755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple Round ICOs? on: September 06, 2019, 03:49:46 AM
Have you heard of ICOs with multiple rounds? Like they raise a certain amount of money now, use that money for primary aims and goals, and then a few months/years down the line (as part of their original plan) launch a second round to fund additional goals and further project development? Just wondering if this is a thing, if so please provide me with some links to projects that have done so.

Yes, I often see ICO that has finished the first round, but they continue the second round. In fact, they changed the name of the token in the second round, while in the first round it was finished. LUCRE (LCR) is an ICO that has been completed in the first stage. Now they change the symbols from LCR to LCRT, and the LCR tokens they have shared are not working. I don't understand what they are doing right now.
This type of token is nothing but a pure scam, because if you have finished raising fund from the first sales, why come the second time again to raise the second time, and then changing name, this is how most scammer do operate. I know we have some projects that are do raise fund twice, but those ones make their intention known to the public and they never finish raising fund at the initial stage.

The initial stage is what they use to raise the fund that they will use temporarily to sort out some things that requires development while they pause to act based in the  first fund that they receive and then come back the second time to raise fund that will complete the project for them, and most of these ones are usually very serious projects with real use case.
3756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: September 05, 2019, 05:45:41 PM
Hey OP, you are absolutely right many of us are still here for the gain that we will get from the technologies and that is why we concentrated more on the use of it for asset purpose and not for utility purpose, meanwhile, the use of it as utility is why the crypto itself was created.

We need to get to that stage where the whole crypto users will not only be accumulating the coin and storing it but also accumulating it to spend it on different transaction, because that is how there can always be demand for the coins and then we can  know the true value of the coin. Like Ethereum now, people actually use it more than other coins, and because they don’t only accumulate it, the value becomes kind of stable and the true value of Ethereum is exactly what we are seeing right now.
3757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to exchange big amounts? on: September 05, 2019, 05:01:41 PM
Hey.
Is it safe to exchange big amounts on non-custodial exchangers like changelly or shapeshift, or are they designed for small transactions?
I'm a newbie and I want to know if it's safe. Also, I want to know if it's safe to exchange crypto on classical exchanges like binance.
I don’t know about these exchanges that you mentioned because they are not popular to me, and I don’t think they will have the volume that is needed for you to have a large trading transaction. You know that binance is a big exchanges already and I think that it is best to just use big exchanges like binance for everything you want to do since they are reliable and they are also cheap when it comes to fees.

It would be best you trade in an exchange that has big volume, so that it can be able to accommodate any amount that you wish to use. I think there are also other large exchanges that are designed for large transactions such as coinbase, kucoin, bittrex and so many other exchanges, except maybe you just want to give these exchanges that you mentioned a try.
3758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coindesk & Cointelegraph give Fake News on: September 05, 2019, 04:29:39 PM
Unfortunately, these two resources are teeming with fake news, so I try not to read them
If I were you, I would not completely stay away from them , because sometimes, out of every news they carry which we could call rumor, there might be element of truth in it, and I would not want to believe that the only news they carry often more are negative news, I think that they also do carry some news that are real.

It takes too much time to find out what's real and what's fake...
As I've said before, Cointelegraph is better, they published another article, so if you really have to, read just this one.
No one is really perfect After all, even the poster of this article, I am also sure that he would have had some series of news that he has posted too without verifying it, what I just see in people is that they are very lazy, and most of these media platform wants to be the first to carry such news which is why they don’t usually verify the news first and it is wrong, but there are still some news that would have element of truth in it.

I just don’t ignore all the news or would ignore all the news because someone said so, what I would just advise people to do is to try as much as people to published verified news, most especially all those media we rely on, and we also have our own role to play too to verify the authenticity before we believe it or spread same to the world.
3759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners in Hong Kong protests? on: September 05, 2019, 03:20:16 PM
Are there Bitcoiners in Hong Kong? How is the situation over there? I believe it should be Bitcoin's time, and help protesters in collecting donations, and help move value in Bitcoin.
I didn’t know of any protest going on in Hong Kong as regards bitcoin and what led to the protest but I doubt if you will get anyone here who would disclose is identity; don’t forget that we are all operating an anonymous system. Bitcoiners might be protesting, but we need to understand the level of acceptance of bitcoin in Hong Kong and how many people are really using the system.

One thing about protest is that it is meant to attract more people who are in the same line of thought or same community of bitcoin to join, but if we still have very low compliance in Hong Kong, this protest may not be a successful one because their voice would not be really heard. I don’t think this would have been the right time for such protest to emanate.
3760  Other / Off-topic / Re: Danger!! on: September 05, 2019, 02:48:22 PM
That is what we need to understand that the market has its own risk, but out of the risk, we can still bring out something meaningful from it, there is no business or program that does not have its risk, but we are still surviving in it, but most people that has survived risky businesses or investment are those that do not joke with their risk management tools.

From also what I can learn from this, we also should try to diversify, diversifying also limit the risk off us losing our money, when we diversify, we will surely see some of our investment cover up for our lapses in some of the other weak investment that we have chosen to invest in. I think this aspect of killing over money would not stop because we have some people that has just sold their heart to the devil already.
