381  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hot cables on S3, what am I doing wrong? on: July 22, 2015, 07:28:07 PM
Since all the heat seems to be concentrated at the connection you should of had a bad connection on the pin or corrosion that caused them to over heat.  S3+ should not have problems like that even with 18 AWG.

Any chance getting these made in kevlar orange faric, or maybe kevlar-carbon like bellow so the orange is in there.

Maybe it is possible to decrease the timeout to which unused names fall off the list?

I do find they stay there too long.  A few days is enough.  I have not hit this limit either and I have over 50Th, so I admit it is rare, but why keep old names around so long?

I got a discount and I ordered a lot, the stuff is delicious.  I wish they would come back on the board so I can order more.

It appears you already have investors and you already have people investing.  How much are you looking for total?

Isn't this you?

Good luck finding used hardware.  I have been looking for lots of 100 miners at a time for weeks now.  If you find someone and they have left over after you clean them out let me know.

I am adding another 20Th to my home mine over this next week. I will take some pics when done.

what kinda elec are you paying etc etc (just can't see how you can profit on such with todays btc machines) not a slam just saying

Mining is always profitable or no one would do it. You may have to put some effort into, move to another city, make improvement's to your house, etc but its profitable.

Pretty much all the midwest is cheap electric, I am paying 7 cents summer rate and 6 winter, this seems definitely within the good for home mining price.

Yup most of the US is profitable to mine, either on residential or commercial.

If you take about 4.5 cents off these rates that about what the realistic low price you can get in those states.

392  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS - EU] Antminer S1 hashboards, control pcb, S2 fans on: July 16, 2015, 09:47:09 PM
Which model of the S2 fans are those?  There are two version of the S2 and they have different fan sizes.

Where are they shipping from?
393  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Any massive mines focusing their heat? on: July 16, 2015, 09:39:23 PM
I wish I could make high pressure steam with miners.  I would love to do this.

How are you concentrating the heat of the miners?  Exhaust of my miners is only around 130-140F at Max not even close to producing steam let alone in volume or high pressure.

394  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Medium amounts of miners, looking for lots of 100 or more on: July 16, 2015, 02:38:18 PM

Those will work.  How many do you have?

it seems that the government can refile charges without violating double jeopardy. WTF happened?

For double jeopardy to come into play the trial would of needed to be completed with an acquittal or conviction.  The government dropped the charges in this case.

I purchased 8 SP20 units from MC last month and they are great.  Are you wishing you had them back now?

LOL Kind of, although 8 would not help me too much as I need 100s.
397  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Medium amounts of miners, looking for lots of 100 or more on: July 15, 2015, 07:14:10 PM
Will also accept smaller miners now, see OP please.

What surprises me is he's a miner who mines on a larger scale in Texas of all places where it's hotter than hell nearly all the time.

Agreed, not to mention power in Texas is not the least expensive, it can downright hurt depending on the part of the state..

In either case my hats off to MCHouston for making it work.

Thanks.  It does take a little effort to cool them, I wish I had the option of those northern temperature some people enjoy.

I actually give props to anyone who to all miners.  Each size farm has its own challenges.

Hello,

I am looking to buy some equipment, if your colo contract is up or you want to make space for the new gen of miners coming out let's see if we can make a deal.

Would like miners of 1Th+, smaller units maybe considered but are second priority.

Thanks,
MC

medium huh.. im sure we all got about a hundred miners up and running.. except for the small time peoples, peasants really, that only have say 30-40..
sorry i just cant help but finding this a bit funny, its all in good faith, but i must ask you what would a large amount of miners constitute? lol

I would say 500+ is a large amount.

I have run well over 100 miners at home, so its medium in my perspective.  Small I would consider 25-99 and below 25 is hobby/fun mining.

But that is just my perspective.

Bloody hell I thought 10 x S1 / S3 miners was a lot at home Embarrassed.

Fair play to you all, you've blown what I though home mining was out of the water.

Everyone starts somewhere.  I started with 2 Gridseed G-black and 3 S1 I bought with fiat.  Not soon after I had 120 S1's.  Like I said its all perspective.

You must have good home electricity amps. I know 10 x S3 was pushing my limits....

I upgraded to 400A service.
