Hello Frank, you won't be able to merge the old threads into this one unfortunately.  You can move any thread you created by looking at the very bottom left of any page in your thread.  If you wish to "keep" the thread you can move it to archive while you manually transfer info to this new thread.  You could also lock your old threads here and they will fall off to the back pages over time.  I guess you could also just leave the threads alone and start fresh going forward and run out the other auctions or whatever is current.

Per capita mass shootings in the USA are way higher.  In order to compare the actual numbers you have to define "mass shooting" but firearm homicides are 8-10X higher per capita in the US than Canada and it's higher than that compared to a lot of other "westernized" countries.

There are hundreds of millions of people around the world that have looked at the stats and concluded very quickly that military weapons in the hands of civilians leads to only one thing, less safety for the entire country...

There is a lot of blow back so far for his pick as interim AG.  A number of prominent constitutional lawyers (Republican and Dem) are making the argument that Whitaker's appointment is unconstitutional.

Lawyers are subject to the Bar association, their are a lot of lawyers saying the reason Sessions recused himself in the first place is that he didn't want to be disbarred and have that be how he was known.  AG was his dream job and he doesn't want a stained legacy of his short time there.

I think Sessions was really bad as the AG and the dems are probably happy he is out IF Mueller is protected.

The interim job should have gone down the line of succession until a Trump nominee can be confirmed.

It was reportedly a lone male shooter (no race released yet), 22 years old and known to police.  He avoided a 5150 hold last April, seems like the crisis worker didn't have enough to toss him in the looney bin back then.

Reports are he used a glock .45 cal, legally purchased weapon but used a modified mag (reports say the mod was to hold additional rounds).  Reports are the handgun was the only weapon used in the attack.

The nut job was found in an office in the bar with apparent self inflicted fatal wounds when the Police found him.

Police are searching his house now.

Motive and or connection to the scene are not known or being released ATM.
