missed out no shuffle win oh well. at least btc went up to 54970 I struck out once again as well. I'm really hoping to win a white card. I think it would look nice eventually in a build.

So My winning shuffle asus strix 6700 xt from the 18th of march showed up today.
Can't change any setting to it on windows 10 so it is doing 153 watts and 43mh.
I will switch it to smos in a few days.
I tried asus tweak = fuck you phil I tried after burner = fuck you phil
Still turns profit for now.
I will post back on it later.
Did you try using crappy old AMD Wattman? I've been striking out with the shuffle as well.

112 workers online when I checked. So 2.2 million divided by 112 is a little less that $20,000 each that they make minus electricity. Good for them that they were able to catch this wave. I guess they could sell it for less than what it would mine just to get their name out there if they are able to mass produce an 8 gb version of this miner for sale in the future.

Okay it is not going to be sold. It has a fatal flaw. The ram is 4.7 so when the dag grows to 4.7 this gear is dead. At the moment I think the dag is 4.15 so this gear will die in under 💯 days.
They will simply mine it til it dies.
I agree. If they do try to dump them now, it's just going to give themselves a bad name for selling a miner that becomes useless after 100 days. Even if they do price it accordingly what happens if you get a bad one or one that gets damaged in shipping? The RMA process would kill any chance of breaking even. It's not worth it for the seller or the buyer at this point in my eyes.

Okay So I'm seriously pissed about this issue. I have my usual T-rex miner config setup (Same one I have been using since before my network change) but wen the screen shuts off it seems the miner connection fails which is ridiculous. The only thing changed was I went from the crappy cox all in one gateway modem/router to a Ubiquiti Dream machine pro. My computer is connected via hardwire cat6 and get 7ms pings, 850 mb/s down and no network problems other wise BUT it seems like maybe the dream machine is blocking something at the network level? I have added the entire trex folder to the windows 10 exclusion list and have actually just fully disabled the win10 antivirus for now. The computer is not set to sleep only the screen is. All low power settings are disabled for things such as the the Ethernet NIC and video card. Once the screen shuts off after 10 minutes about 3 minutes later the miner stops connecting with the errors listed in the image attached to link. I am using t-rex-0.19.11-win-cuda11.1 for my MSI RTX 3090 with current code : t-rex.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://us2.ethermine.org:4444 -u 0xmineraddress -p x -w rig0 pause It sounds like Windows is putting the network card or wifi card to sleep. You should check the power save settings for that in Windows.

That's interesting. I didn't know there were different memory buses for different versions of the 6700 XT.
|
|
|
I don't have this board but are we sure that the first slot is the primary video card slot? Have you tried it in the second slot perhaps?

my 2 omen 30l units came today they have nvidia 3070 cards in them.
I will be testing them today. I have a nvidia PNY 3090 due to be picked up on sat at nearby best buy.
so 60+60 +110= 230mh coming on line soon.
apparently I did pick the asus strix 6700xt at 829 usd + 10 to ship = 839 + 60 tax = 900 I will decide later if I want to pay that. I passed on it and removed it from my cart to avoid the temptation. Like is it really worth $350 more than the cheapest 6700 XT? An extra like 70% over the cheapest 6700 XT that will mine roughly the same speed?
|
|
|
New shuffle already up - 17 6700 XT cards. Early reports say they are not as good for eth as 5700, 43MH vs 55MH but with tweaking they may get to 50. At least they are cheap.
I got picked for I think the most expensive one at $829.99. I'm not sure I'm interested in a huge 2.9 slot card that only does potentially 50 mhs. I'm on the fence.
|
|
|
Does anyone know if you have to keep the monitor connected to the 3060 turned on or something? Running on ethermine my reported hashrate is 20 mh/s higher than the current hashrate.
I have my monitor off and it is still hashing at full speed.

|
|
>preorder at 525 each. 30HX series.
What a racket. Hey Intel has new GPUs too, that should be interesting
Yeah that really doesn't make any sense to me. the 30HX hashes at what did they say like 25mhs? I really don't see why people would buy those.

YEAH PRICES ARE STUPID HGH
but mining profits still justify the prices.
I very suchlike getting the EVGA 3090 cards from a legit seller as for 30 bucks I can extend warranty to 5 years.
I have all the paperwork and one less risk goes by by.
That is dead cards.
At the moment my rma record is 2 of 67 cards since last april. a 5500xt and a 5600xt
the rest all work.
My gut is June-July we can see a change.
I currently have one 5700 XT that I just sent out to RMA and the one and only 3080 that I have is misbehaving. It keeps disappearing from the system even though it is plugged directly into the main 16x PCIe slot. It was originally in the second 16x slot and doing that so I moved it to the primary. I'm afraid that this card is on it's way out. Sometimes a cold boot brings it back to life sometimes it doesn't as I have one of those smart plugs attached to it. Makes me sad. Also not selected for the shuffle.

I'm using MSI cards. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Also I heard that the card has to be attached directly to the motherboard. No riser.
Thanks alot! The point was to put it directly in the motherboard. That worked for me (Gigabyte card). Looks like the bios identifies if the card is in a PCI 1x or PCI 16x slot - somehow this makes a difference. Glad to hear you got it working.

What really kills me is I am right about this. Yet when I talk to coal/oil people they are fuck you Phil. and when I talk to green save the world people they are fuck you Phil. Which is why I know I am right Usually when you manage to do the above it means the problem is pretty much solved. Lol that's funny and probably very true. This could be the big push for renewable energy. Newegg shuffle is up. One 3060 card and one 3090. This is the 3060 card that I have that is now mining ETH at 50 mhs with the 470.05 drivers.
|
|
|
That's the same driver I am using. 470.05 but as mentioned above the card has to be the primary video card and have a monitor attached to it. I had a 2nd card in the same system and that card was running at 24 mhs. I removed that card and I am going to put that card into it's own system now as the primary.
Unfortunately not working here. H110 Pro BTC++ board, disabled onboard GPU, 3060 as the only GPU in the system (monitor attached) - Hash rate drops immediately after start. I'm using MSI cards. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Also I heard that the card has to be attached directly to the motherboard. No riser.

fuck nvidia in the you know what. so my octopus with become eth once I figure it out.
maybe smos will put it in an update.
As far as I know there is no linux version of this driver.

Nice thanks for the info. I just tested the driver on mine and I'm getting 49mhs for the last 30 minutes now.
Can you please post a screenshot of the exact driver settings in windows? Tried myself, but limiting still intact (Driver 470.05, Windows 10 64bit, Display connected through hdmi) That's the same driver I am using. 470.05 but as mentioned above the card has to be the primary video card and have a monitor attached to it. I had a 2nd card in the same system and that card was running at 24 mhs. I removed that card and I am going to put that card into it's own system now as the primary.

Awesome Phil! I totally missed it. I haven't shopped at Best Buy for years before this but them keeping their prices at MSRP has me impressed. Back in January I was able to snag a 3090 Founders Edition from them at MSRP of $1499 and a 3070 for $560. I guess this was before the 25% tax took place perhaps.

Newegg shuffle just started.
Damn missed it today! Good luck everybody else!
