41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Bitcoin spot ETF, there is Ethereum spot ETF on: May 14, 2024, 01:40:19 AM

Gensler will not likely postpone this time. he sees ETH ETF was already trading in Hong Kong, if the counterpart is already doing it, they might as well approve.

However, uncle Gary does not care about this Hong Kong ETF because he is an anticrypto chairman of the SEC. He was crying when he was forced to approve the spot ETF for Bitcoin, giving it many postponements and delays. He also mentioned that Ethereum is an illegal security. Similar to what I have already speculated, this will be delayed until August7. This is the final application schedule of Blackrock and he will approve this. Uncle Gary does not want to anger Larry the new mayor of Bitcoin hehehehe.

exactly. Larry is more powerful than the President of the United States. i don't think Gary will ever have anything to do with the SEC once Larry is disappointed. this guy is likely the one running the entire show and deciding whether the war in Ukraine is to be stopped or not.  Gary may not care about Narnia grabbing ETH in Hongkong but Larry and his friends are up to it. they probably have ETH already since the time ETH was just $1000.

iShares ETH Trust will be on Aug 7. but Gary will approve VanEck, ARk which Hashdex, Grayscale, Fidel and Blackrock will dump their ETH holdings they bought at $1000.  Grin which price will dip to $2200. just my gut feeling  Grin

If uncle Gary approves one application for the spot ETF for Ethereum, then he will certainly approve all of the other applications very much similar on how it has occurred on bitcoin.

In any case if uncle Gary approves everything on May 23, this will certainly be a very bullish signal for the Ethereum ecosystem.

@Ethereum experts. What are the tokens that might pump faster than ETH if the approval occurs on May 23?
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 13, 2024, 01:25:58 AM
@serjent05. If the body punches of Kambosos during rounds 1 to 5 became effective against Lomachenko, I reckon this might have given him a chance. However, beginning on the 6th round, Lomachenko began to be more aggressive and I was very shocked that he was continuing this until the technical knockout on the 11th round.

Who will be next for him? I reckon this should be versus Shakur for the IBF, WBC championships and the vacant WBO championship. The winner of this will fight the scammer Tank Davis hehehe.
43  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cartier jewelry heir arrested for laundering drug money with USDT on: May 13, 2024, 12:29:49 AM
Well, you understand the meaning of this article. The main enemy is USDT!

Are you implying that the article writer is also only implying that the enemy is USDT or are you implying that USDT is the main enemy? If anyone is implying that USDT is the enemy, does this also cause them to imply that bitcoin or gold is the enemy if this Cartier heir used bitcoin or gold to launder their money?

I also read protos.com articles, however, I have noticed that much of their articles are forcing to write headshaking storylines about the cryptospace with much fud.
In the U.S., there has long been a struggle for interens between the largest issuers of USDT and USDC steiblcoins.
USDT is owned by a US company and they try to work very transparently in accordance with US laws.

Tether holdings limited is registered in the Cayman Islands and it is not very clear who the beneficiaries of this company are.

Okay agreed! The main enemy of the government and their backers that have invested in Circle the issuer USDC is certainly Tether USDT. I shared a news article from weeks before about a representative from Circle who was begging for the government to crack down on Tether and USDT. This is very headshaking because of  speculations that USDT in circulation is not 100% backed by real assets and that the people behind Tether work with moneylaunderers, none of the accusations have real evidence hehehehee.
Of course, Circle’s main competitor is Tether holdings limited and so far Tether is in the lead because they were the first.
Both companies back most of the American treasuries, which means they are very dependent on the American system. If suddenly the assets of one of the companies are blocked in the United States due to sanctions, then the stablecoin suddenly loses its peg to the dollar and the entire crypto market plunges into chaos.
On the one hand, Circle is comfortable with such a competitor, because criminals mainly choose Tether stablecoins.

However, Tether has been holding much of their reserves in gold, bitcoin and US t-bills. The Federal Reserve will never block t-bills because this would make other big holders of this fearful and dump their reserves. This will certainly kill the American debt market. If the Biden administration will force the Federal Reserve to do this, we can be quite certain that they are the most stupid politicians to run a government hehhehehe.

Tether also made $1 billion from t-bills.

Tether’s (CRYPTO: USDT) fourth-quarter attestation report recorded significant profits, with a substantial portion coming from the company's gold and Bitcoin holdings. The stablecoin issuer is looking forward to a promising 2024.

What Happened: Tether reported a profit of $2.85 billion for the final quarter of 2023 for an annual profit of $6.2 billion, according to its fourth-quarter attestation report. Net operational profit from U.S. T-bill interests yielded $1 billion, with $1.85 billion coming from gold and Bitcoin holdings.

Tether decided to keep most of its profits within stablecoin reserves to ensure resiliency. Furthermore, the company has achieved its goal of removing the risk of secured loans from the token reserves.

44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 11, 2024, 06:26:53 AM
On these fans who want to witness Naoya Inoue to fight John Riel Casimero, I am one of you. However, it appears that this might never happen. Casimero's is being promoted by a small Japanese promoter called Treasure Boxing Promotion. This company is very small and it might not have the cashflow to bring a good offer for Inoue's team.

On Inoue's next fight, there is no one. This Sam Goodman cannot offer anything for Inoue. There is no money, there is no hype and there is no legacy. Figueroa should be his next fight and this should be in Las Vegas.

Casimero has nothing on the table for Ioue to take and if they have to fight that must happen this year as Casimero is getting older and looking at his practice, seems to me that he lost a step and i don't think he can defeat the prime Inoue.

In an interview, Inoue said that he won't go up in weight to fight somebody for the money and no need to be recognized in the US as he is very popular in Japan and the money offered in his current division is the same in Las Vegas and he is contented with it so i think we won't see Inoue fighting in Vegas sooner.

I am sorry for the fans of Casimero. I am not a fan of him and his type of trashtalking, however, I have always argued for him being a good boxer.

On Inoue being satisfied to only fight in Japan, this is very disheartening. However, this is also okay and we should accept because not much boxers are special types of people who can move the world and create legacy. He does not have the inspiration of Pacman. Inoue is a very good boxer but he is only a boxer.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jaron Ennis vs Cody Crowley For Welterweight Title July 13 on: May 11, 2024, 05:21:39 AM
It's unfortunate for boxing fans that Ennis became a champion without challenging Crawford. He is considered as the next big name in the welterweight and can give Crawford a hard time, but Crawford did not give him an opportunity and instead moved up for more significant challenges.

Based on my observation, the welterweight division will be challenging for Ennis; Vergil Ortiz and Errol Spence will challenge him; it is good that he became a champion finally, after waiting in line for a long time.

I very much agree, however, this might be a chance to create another history in boxing where Bud Crawford will do another move to unify the welterweight division by fighting the other king of welterweight. Before the fight of Crawford vs. Spence, I have always considered and argued that Crawford and Spence were the kings of their weight division. However, there was a 3rd king Boots Ennis. No one have known his name before except @Boafeng and @bisdak, who are the kings of boxing analysis in bitcointalk hehehe.

On creating legacy for Bud, Ennis will be a good opponent for him and the next will be Canelo. The promoters should promote Canelo vs. Crawford! This is my wish as a fan of boxing and it should be yours also.
46  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: EU is set to delagalise decentralised mixers on: May 11, 2024, 04:31:08 AM
From what I've read about the Alexey Pertsev case I have zero sympathy for him. He and others like him is precisely why many of the regulations are being created.

We can have our arguments on why we should not like him, however, this is not important. What is important is the decision of the 3 judges next week because it might become a precedent for others to follow.

Also, what are you implying on others like him? How is Tornado Cash different as another tool to help people in the cryptospace preserve privacy?
Usually cryptomixer developers are very rarely caught by special services. According to the experience of past mixers, special services seize servers and then the news ends.
Alexey Pertsev made a very big mistake when he became a public person. He did not realize the consequences of his actions.
I am also waiting for the court decision, but I think that the court will not be on Alexey Pertsev's side.

Also agreed! This was why I was arguing that the developers who create tools for anonymity and privacy in the future will never be public on their identities. It will be very much similar before 2017 in bitcointalk where developers of new altcoins and many projects will be known only by their usernames. I reckon they might also be pushed to a place in the internet where they will be hard to find. The darknet.

49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 10, 2024, 05:49:40 AM
I have thought of a very head shaking conspiracy theory and if this is true this might be a very genius psychological campaign created by King Ry's team. What if this steroids scandal was also created by Ryan to keep everyone talking about him? What if sample A was intentionally with steroids and sample B is very clean?

If proven innocent after the release of sample B's results, everyone will begin talking about him for many weeks again. King Ry might be trying to keep the attention on him until December heheheheheheheee.

Both A and B samples come from one container which is divided by an official conducting the testing. It’s practically impossible for one sample to be clean and another one dirty. This is why Ryan is trying to get ahead of this by claiming that the failed test is due to contaminated supplements. I don’t know whether he will be exonerated but he is already busy trying to hype up a fight with Errol Spence.

Thank you for the correction. I have always assumed that they come from 2 different samples taken on different say in case if sample A is contaminated, sample B will be a very different sample that will not have the contamination of sample A hehe.

In any case, sample B will be will be opened for analysis on May 22. I reckon the verdict will be made on May 23?

Star boxer Ryan Garcia requested Monday that his B-sample be analyzed, according to a letter obtained by ESPN, connected to adverse findings in his A-sample for the performance-enhancing drug Ostarine the day before and the day of his upset win over Devin Haney last month.

His attorney, Darin Chavez, told ESPN Tuesday that the B-sample will be opened and analyzed on May 22. Chavez will witness the examination.

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing, the Trump pump is beginning on: May 10, 2024, 02:58:32 AM
News update.

I am skeptical, however, we can be very much quite certain that if you are an American, the cryptospace will less strict regulations under the Trump administration than under the Biden administration. This Biden administration, with democrats grandma Warren, grandma Yellen and uncle Gary, have certainly showed that they do not want the cryptospace on American jurisdiction and they will always be anticrypto.

Trump's speech will be the beginning for the Trump pump.

Donald Trump just cemented crypto as an election issue.

The former US president embraced the industry on Wednesday during at a dinner at his Mar-a-Lago resort for holders of his different NFT collections.

“I’m fine with it,” Trump said in a clip widely shared on X. “I want to make sure it’s good and solid, but I’m good with it. If you like crypto in any form — it comes in a lot of different forms — if you’re in favour of crypto you’d better vote for Trump.”

“If we’re going to embrace it we have to let them be here,” he said in response to a question about crypto firms leaving the US.

Trump said US crypto firms are leaving because of what he called “hostility” from Democrats and Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler.

52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 09, 2024, 02:28:22 AM
However, it appears his next opponent is not very good and we can be quite certain that this will be in Japan again. Inoue might not become something similar to Pacman in fame after he retires.

Who will be his next opponent? was it already announce? I hope it will be Casimero as I've been waiting for a long time to see these two make a conclusion about who is the better between them. Casimero making joke on Inoue again, he said if it was him who hit Inoue, Inoue might not be able to continue, well, it's true that Casimero has the power that's probably the reason why Inoue does not accept his challenge.

There's a rumor that Sam Goodman will be his next target that man is if I'm not wrong the number one contender on IBF also on WBF titles.

I try to research about the record of this guy and we can see that he's really a big thing also have good chances to fight Inoue https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/832952

But we don't know yet if they really aim to fight Goodman so lets wait for their official announcement since for sure they provably release the names of their next possible opponent. Also for sure Inoue's camp will not chase for any possible match up against Casimero since they don't have anything to take from him that's why Casimero will be less on their priorities. But who knows right? If Casimero will be the mandatory challenger maybe we can see this fight to happen.

Did you see the interview after the fight? Bob Arum brought Sam Goodman in the ring to stand beside Naoya Inoue already heheheh. This man Bob only wants another hyped scam that does not give fans a thrilling experience. These promoters should learn from Eddie Hearn and Mr. Net Stockings Oscar dela Hoya. They are the promoters of King Ry and Devin Haney.

I reckon Casimero should fight someone in the rankings immediately and create an argument that he should be the next challenger for Inoue.

Yeah I see that and maybe that is the way of Arum to give people a hint of possible match up for Inoue. But maybe there will be a changes since we don't know how this crazy businessman minds work since they always chase after on where they think they can earn a lot of money. I don't know if he needs to learn since for sure he has his own way on how to market his promotions and we can able to see that Arum is successful for riding the hype of current Famous boxer in this generation.

Casimero really need that fight since its undeniable that he's out of the radar so he should finish those guys on the ranking with impressive win so that there's a strong argument between their possible fight between Inoue since this is one of the biggest fight what a lot of fans want to see.

I reckon the changes might come from the team of Naoya Inoue. He is presently in 2nd place on the pound for pound listing, however, he is name is not mentioned in a similar way as Pacman's name. I predict for his next fight, he might begin finding some deals to fight in Las Vegas. However, in his weight division, it will be very difficult. He might need to increase weight again and go to the featherweight division to unify the championships. The only big name in the featherweight division who is a champion is Brandon Figueroa and his is only an interm champion. Inoue should wait for Figueroa vs. Vargas and challenge Figueroa if he gets the victory.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Bitcoin spot ETF, there is Ethereum spot ETF on: May 09, 2024, 01:56:09 AM
I don't know crap about ETFs and the filings required, but the law/finance people on Twitter agreed that approval this May is like 95% likely to be declined, while approval is highly more likely next year(though still not more than 50% likely).

The fact alone that ETH is put up by a company(Consensys) makes it less likely to be approved in the near term.

Yes it is very difficult to disagree. If you use the information on what we have witnessed on bitcoin, uncle Gary was postponing the approval for many months and has only approved it during near the last deadlines. I am quite certain uncle Gary will do this again until Blackrock's last scheduled deadline on August 7 hehehh.

However, this will be with uncle Gary in tears who does not want to approve but he will approve very much similar to the spot ETF for bitcoin.

@everyone. If you have followed this news and have stopped, I reckon that you should start following this news again and share every information you can find. Alexey Pertsev will be sentenced on May 14. The verdict of this might become a precedent for other decentralized mixers and privacy coins. A guilty verdict will imply that all privacy in the cryptospace is a crime. I speculate next they will go after self custody. It will be a very headshaking time for the cryptospace.

I am creating this thread for us to begin our speculations and discussions for Ethereum's spot ETF. Similar to the speculation on Bitcoin's spot ETF, there are big institutional investors that also want this for Ethereum.

Similar big names are applying. Blackrock, Fidelity, Ark and Vaneck. The next scheduled application is on May 23. Will this be approved or not? Will this be similar to Bitcoin spot ETF where uncle Gary always postponed approval?

Well, not surprising at all! The way US government have started cracking down on crypto related services, it was just a matter of time before rest of the governments follow the same path. So EU has joined the bandwagon to start their surveillance on the internet because they consider mixing services illegal. The way various governments are moving, I don't think crypto users will be able to stay anonymous anymore. That itself will defeat the whole purpose of cryptocurrency.

In coming years. cryptocurrency will remain as an investment and that majority of the supply will be controlled by the corporates and government bodies. Those days are not far, sadly!

I very much agree. Presently they are firmly going after your privacy in the cryptospace with some warning signs that they will next begin to go after the ability of personal custody over your own cryptocoins and assets. My argument is if the future of the cryptospace is no privacy and no self custody then what would be the use of this? What would be the use of decentralization? These coins will only be for trading and pump dump similar to the stock market? What if they also remove this for small minnows like us by telling us that we are not allowed to trade them?

The future is that we are all KYCed. They're copying Xi Jin Ping's model.

Asia will be the next to do this I assume?  They are all just doing what everyone is doing. There may be some countries that will not follow which is kind of a rebel type. I love this show.  It is a lot harder for them to regulate when mixers are around but this is why the software wallets were also mandated to ask KYC.

Someone somewhere there will be a wallet that will exist that no one can know who develops it. And they can't just tell what it has to do.

There might be some jurisdictions in Asia that will follow the strict regulatory environments created in America and Europe, however, I reckon not all countries can implement them with much effectiveness. I speculate there are more people in this forum than there are cryptocoin experts in a developing country's government hehehe.

In any case, everyone should begin to read about Alexey Pertsev's case. He is the Tornado Cash developer who is being accused of money laundering. I shake my head that mainstream media is creating a storyline that he is a money launderer.

Forget CZ and SBF. The game-changing crypto judgment is coming next week

But when you cut through all this action, there is just one case that can truly reset the course of the 15-year-old cryptocurrency industry. And it’s coming to a head on May 14.

This is when a Dutch three-judge panel will hand down a verdict on Alexey Pertsev, the Tornado Cash dev charged with laundering $1.2 billion in illicit assets for a bevy of bad actors, including North Korea’s Lazarus Group of hackers.

If three Dutch judges in eight days’ time decide Pertsev is guilty, they will also be convicting the conceit that blockchain-based transactions lie outside the international anti-money laundering legal system erected over the last 25 years.
