41  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rest In Peace Becky666 on: May 11, 2021, 03:44:37 PM
Is the negative feedback all that necessary when it comes to the owner of the account dying? I know that it warns the people for possible takeover of another person but I think a neutral feedback is enough.

For an example here are some of our departed members profile look like.
TECSHARE
Zepher

The only one I could think of having a negative tagged on his account after his death is Phinnaeus Gage where it has shown that someone else is using his account.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 10, 2021, 01:20:46 PM
I'm a Milan fan and this win against Juventus means a lot for any fan as it gives us hope for qualifying the Champions League for next season however I'm the kind of fan that don't take joy when I see the other side being disappointed with what is happening and that is what I saw with Juventus on their match ever since the first goal from Brahim Diaz I saw the faces of their management as well as their players even Dybala bowing their heads with disappointments I didn't had fun seeing this as now they are clinging in the top 5 spot with still have a remaining game against Inter. Happy for Milan and I'm sad for Juventus hopefully this makes Donnarumma's mind on renewing his contract for Milan.
43  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Partners for a share on the website - sportsbook winbet555.com on: May 09, 2021, 08:29:36 PM
He is not looking for partners. But looking for investors.

Title misleading.

I don't know how your talks went with them but to give you some clarifications there are different types of partnerships from a general partner to a silent/sleeping partner you will see that they will have different roles on a business. If the OP talk you in to just pouring in some cash then you will most likely fall in a silent/sleeping type of partner where you provide a capital but don't mistaken this into just being an investor as partnerships required to be written and signed in a piece of paper which will differentiate you from an investor to a partner.
44  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Performing services for Bitcoin? on: May 09, 2021, 06:00:27 PM
If you want you can just say it in your job description on a freelancing websites that you are open to accepting Bitcoin as a payment option. For me you won't be having this problem anymore soon as from the news I have been seeing Paypal is planning to implement Bitcoin payments into their services and most of the popular freelancing websites like Fiverr and Upwork are accepting Paypal payments in their website. If this is implemented then you won't have a hard time looking for high traffic freelancing websites anymore.
45  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Bitcoin Receiving Address Question? on: May 09, 2021, 04:33:57 PM
It literally shows like half the entire address?  When i copy and pasted the full address... it showed the other half.

Is that normal?

Why does coinbase not show your entire btc receiving address on one page to view all of it?  That doesn't seem secure at all.

I mean what if you got copy/paste malware or things like that?

Also not talking about the app... im using coinbase on the laptop now and it displays it like this.

We will only have answers coming from speculation if you ask us because Coinbase will be the only one to know the real answer but if you ask them you might be able to have a reply regarding "security reasons".  I'm guessing it has something to do with preventing the users on copying the address via click and dragging the whole address from which I have seen many newbies failed to copy the whole address that is why maybe Coinbase implemented the support of having a copy to clipboard function to prevent newbie mistakes like this one.
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the mechanism behind pumping? Profiting in both BTC & altcoin possible? on: May 09, 2021, 03:40:13 PM
You are just basically talking about the influence of their capital but they can do that without any kind of hype being thrown around the market but if they did both with capital and hype they can honestly pump dogecoin to a higher level. Pumping groups works the same thing as well they hype up a cryptocurrency after they have bought their shares on a lowest value they can get before announcing anything in their channel or group.
47  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-05-08] Bitcoin’s dirty little secret: It’s not easy being green on: May 09, 2021, 02:08:15 PM
With this kind of attack on Bitcoin not being green because on how it is mined is something that I don't tend to focus on as I always think about what is the greater pollutants of our world and how they didn't act or change anything about that. Most of the cars are still running by burning fuel, Factories are still contributing to pollution, plastic and other trash are floating around the ocean killing animals all of these things and many more yet they haven't act anything about it instead singling out a industry as if they are the pioneers of pollution and energy waste.
48  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: cryptocurrency gift tax on: May 09, 2021, 01:03:15 PM
Since I'm not familiar with the Donor and/or Donee Tax you have in your country I would only assume that the donees are typically not the ones paying any kind of tax but it is the Donor's obligation which means it is you who will have a tax liability just search if you have laws covering donations and which amount is considered to be tax exempt or not. Other than that the one who will be receiving the gift will most certainly be subject to capital gains tax depending on what he/she will do with it and how much was their gain when they sold it.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you aware of Shrinkflation? on: May 09, 2021, 12:25:02 PM
This is the best example I know and who can even forget about this one?

This is when Toblerone tried to reduce the weight of its chocolate product by redesigning their chocolate bars and tried to reason out that this will make it easier to cut into pieces but the whole community was enraged and they were laughed at for the obvious attempt on making their product cheaper for their cost while not increasing their price. I have other examples in mind but I guess this is the most popular one I could think off and maybe you will remember this as well.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 08, 2021, 02:10:48 PM
Donnarumma is a good talent. He is young and lot of years ahead of him. It will be good to see him in Juventus though. Szczesny didn't quite performed as expected IMO and having Donnarumma replaced him in squad will certainly be great. But will AC Milan fans be happy about it? Also couple of months ago Ac Milan were reported to be in a good position regarding his contract extension. Wonder what happened?

Like most of the footballers I have seen Donnarumma wants to experience a more competitive football and he has yet to experience it as Milan have yet to set foot in the Champions League. He is one of those stars who wants to see his team be better and Milan so far have failed up to this latest season which they are close to achieving but now they'll be having a hard time qualifying for the Champions League where the top 3-5 teams are battling it out for the last 2 spots. Donnarumma right now has the decision here if he is willing to give Milan another chance or start out fresh on a brand new and more competitive team but looking at Juventus right now they aren't far behind Milan as they have shown a disappointing season so far.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is Faster to dwindle at the price in the long run BITCOIN OR GOLD on: May 08, 2021, 12:42:57 PM
Asking what to invest in if it is Bitcoin or Gold is like asking what kind of investor are you and what is your risk appetite because they are definitely not the same where Gold is stable and Bitcoin is volatile so it is really up to you. Gold is one of those precious metals that not only is seen in jewelries but also is used in our gadgets and equipments that is why it has high demand on a lot of industries while Bitcoin on the other hand has proven to be good in terms of price appreciation and how it can outperform other asset types in a matter of days. So if you are willing to take a risk with your money you can go ahead with Bitcoin but if not there is other options out there that can still grow big like some of the stocks in the stock market.
52  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of Telegram Fraud !!!! on: May 08, 2021, 12:02:17 PM
How to punish fraudsters and get your funds back?

Best you can do is to report them: https://t.me/notoscam

As well as going to the official channel of the token and hope that they will warn people that there is an active scam going. Hoping for a criminal punishment is something that you can just wish for as it will take a lot of your time just for the authorities to take action not unless a lot of people will complain about the scam. Also not only Telegram but I have started to see Discord plaguing with these types of scams on my DMs which is annoying since this is one of the reasons why I am not using Telegram anymore.
53  Economy / Reputation / Re: False positive result or a phishing of some sort? on: May 08, 2021, 10:32:22 AM
So I've seen their reply against your warning and all I can say is that this is not all the way true. Phishing doesn't require any kind of impersonation or identity theft as long as your point is to get the necessary credentials in order to steal the user's money for example there are fake giveaways and new kinds of wallets that doesn't need any kind of impersonation but their main motive is to get your private keys and passphrases their act alone can be classified as phishing.

Phishing: it is the crime of tricking people into sharing confidential information such as passwords and credit card numbers. As in fishing, there is more than one way to catch a victim, but there is a phishing tactic that is the most common. Victims receive an email or text message that mimics (or "impersonates") a trusted person or organization, such as a coworker, a bank, or a government office. Written at: https://www.malwarebytes.com/phishing/

It is evident that we are not doing any identity theft or trying to deceive anyone, you are completely confused or it is simply an effort to discredit a project that will have an incredible future.

Nonetheless users are right to point out that there is a lot of false positives happening with VirusTotal. IMO since it has detected to be phishing the only way to know is to see if their program is has something that aims to steal the information out of their users and unfortunately I don't have any ways of doing that except for installing it on an unused old laptop.
54  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Mindset browser extension on: May 07, 2021, 03:09:01 PM
You have a site so why not display conversions directly instead of installing a plugin/extension. Coinmarketcap have crypto exchange services  it is not logical for someone to install an add-on for an already existing feature or that can be obtained with little effort.
with 10 uers and 7 good reviews its hard to trust it

It might not be for you if you don't find this helpful or convenient. His extension simply eliminates the extra click from going another tab/website and as well as typing the price manually just to see the price conversion. Doing another CoinmarketCap kind of website would simply defeat this purpose. Some people might find this useful as they don't have the same patience as what other's have.

@OP it would be better to show where you are basing your price from so users can double check if its accurate with what your source is showing.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Musk NO HODL - Sells at ATH - Pockets $272M in profit - Leave HODLR's empty bag on: May 07, 2021, 01:50:58 PM
If people are panicking on a 10% sale of Tesla's Bitcoin position what more if they started selling the rest of it? This is what I mean about big companies and institutional investors joining the crypto market being a double edged sword as if they see news about them buying they will see this as a positive news but if they see them selling they will be disheartened by it or worst immediately sell on news. The technically being whales is something that we must put into reality that they have the power to influence the market and they are able to make quick bucks from short term hodlings so don't expect them to hold Bitcoin for a year or 2 just to realize a profit.
56  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Authorization of new device? Binance on: May 07, 2021, 01:09:19 PM
Does your VPN have static or dynamic IP address? Because if it is the one where it change frequently then that might be the reason why Binance doesn't recognize your device as it changes frequently if not it may be your habit on deleting/clearing cookies as it removes your link with Binance as well. IMO this is a good practice for safety and this is just a little sacrifice for the added safety you are having with your cryptocurrencies.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Percent gains and losses on crypto on: May 06, 2021, 04:44:48 PM
@OP if you are a type of person where you are comfortable seeing Excel/Spreadsheet documents you can also try out tracking your gains through it as you can easily split up all the transactions you have for that crypto. There is a bunch of templates out there on how you can do live tracking with it which is convenient as you won't be updating the prices manually each time. Just search some keywords like "spreadsheet price tracker" and you will see a bunch of results with different layouts.
58  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-28 - Nexon Co. Ltd. buys $100,000,000 in Bitcoin on: May 06, 2021, 03:06:05 PM
The more large corporations and foundations buy bitcoin at this price level, the better for the market. This will undoubtedly support its decline, and will provide growth in the medium term. After all, such people will not risk big money without the prospect of multiplying it. So I think that with a favorable news background that we have recently seen, Bitcoin and other alternative cryptocurrencies will continue to grow. Today Bitcoin is growing by 5%, which is already a pretty good result for one day!

Is it really that way? The way I see big companies buying Bitcoin is they act as a double-edged sword in the crypto market as I consider them as whales as well with the capital and large influence they have on the certain crypto they are holding. We all know how whales influence the market and how they can profit from it companies this big is something we won't really have any control when they decide to start selling triggering a FUD. I am grateful that big companies are buying their own Bitcoin as this can make other people join and buy as well but it has its disadvantages too.
59  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Challenging a ban on crypto through Writ/PIL on: May 06, 2021, 01:43:01 PM
~snip

When the ban of cryptocurrency as a legal tender in some country,it will reflected the price of bitcoin. Some government first ban the cryptocurrency then legalised the cryptocurrency to get some tax from that.Because by legalize, you  need to pay tax to the government. Then the government also monitor the flow of money to the cryptocurrency in their country.

Legalization doesn't automatically leads to additional taxes being generated or at least its the only reason why as from what I have seen there are no special kind of tax for cryptocurrencies alone but they often fall to an existing category which is mostly capital gains tax as legally they are classified as "assets" for them to not have additional precedent on having 2 or more legal tenders in their country. If cryptocurrency has been legalized it only means that they know themselves that they are left out and they are just missing an opportunity compared to the other countries who have accepted them earlier as they are missing out a blooming industry/market as well.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: The change in buying and selling in society is the effect of the internet on: May 05, 2021, 05:44:17 PM
Internet is just a piece of digitalization we are experiencing now and this is just an effect of having a more modern technology day by day and how the businesses and governments are implementing in into the society. Now we are seeing people used in offices and we have seen it involve through this pandemic where a lot of the company's work force are on a work from home setup showing that both the internet and other equipment make it possible that employees can work even without going to their offices.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?

Lazy might be another word but I think the best word for it is "more convenient" E-commerce was something that bloom and now we are seeing malls and supermarkets empty as they can now do their shopping through their mobile phones. People want this as a lot of people value their time and online shopping made it possible that they can save their time by shopping online.
